Maid for Him (Oikawa x Reader/Slight Yandere)

Maid For Him (Oikawa X Reader/Slight Yandere)

*GIF not mine*

Summary: You were his maid. His lover. His life. He simply couldn’t let that sleazy visiting prince anywhere near you.

A/N: Hey guys. I know it’s been a while, and I’m really sorry. Life has really been kicking my ass lately, and I don’t want to let y’all down, but I just need a little more time between posts. Again, I am really sorry I haven’t been as active. But hey, thank you so much for 700 followers while I was gone! I hope you enjoy this Yandere Oikawa imagine to celebrate!

Word count: 1764

        Everything seemed dustier than usual. The sun shone brightly through the stained glass windows, and fell upon the grimy, priceless tables. Artifacts from all over the world, vases, paintings, weaponry and more, were all covered in the fine particles.

        Oikawa brushed a finger over an especially neglected sword and smirked at the gray filth left on the tip.

        Oh, my little YN, are you neglecting your duties again? I suppose I’ll just have to punish you.

        A snicker left him at the thought, and he continued down the halls to find you, dressed in that cute little maid uniform you wore. He was clothed just the way you liked him; in his riding gear and fresh from the showers, preparing to go to the stables. But he just had to see you first.

        “Where are you, love?” he muttered under his breath, brown orbs darting back and forth through the velvet-lined corridors. An occasional ray of warmth brushed over his form with every confident stride past the windows. It was silent for ages, and the residual scent of this morning’s breakfast still hung in the air. Sweet-berry covered pancakes combined with the freshest maple syrup accepted as a gift from the visiting kingdom.

        It had been almost as delicious as you.

        Oikawa tsked at every empty room he passed, a sneer growing larger and larger on his face. All of them were filled with at least one servant, but not a single one was you.

        “Where the hell are you?” he seethed through gritted teeth.

        His bedroom. Nothing.

        The dining room. Nothing.

        The throne room. Nothing.

        Even the library was vacant of your presence. A nauseating pressure welled up in his throat. You didn’t… leave, did you?

        No. You would never. You loved him too much.

        Just as he loved you.

        So where the hell were you?

        After rubbing his temples, Oikawa shook his head to clear his thoughts. Surely you were somewhere nearby.

        “Please don’t.”

        Like right there.

        Your nervous tone echoed from within a guest room of the castle. He rushed toward the familiarity like a cat after a mouse, leather boots stomping against the floor rapidly.

        “Oh come on, sweetheart. I saw the way you were looking at me this morning.” A slimy, greasy, disgusting voice responded to you. The prince from the neighboring kingdom. Oikawa charged faster to the door, until he was practically sprinting throughout the castle. Arriving at the cracked door, he paused only to peer inside at the sight.

        You, in that horribly revealing uniform, with a feather duster in your hand. Your face was flushed, your eyes were wide, and your body seemed to be trembling with fear. Every few seconds, you shifted your weight from side to side, gripping the bottom of your short, black and white skirt with white knuckles.

        The good-for-nothing bastard who towered over you sniggered at your nervousness. He stood in the center of the room, his arms itching to reach out for you as he slowly backed you closer and closer to his four-poster bed. The so-called prince was trying to make a move on you.

        That would not be tolerated.

        “I was only offering you orange juice,” you stuttered. Dread painted your face, and every word you spoke accompanied a frantic tremble of your delicate lips. Oikawa’s nostrils flared, but he stayed hidden, ready to pounce when the moment called.

        “I know you were offering so much more than that.” The foreign prince stepped closer and stretched out a hand, snagging a strand of your hair and rolling it between his finger tips. You flinched as he did, and cringed at the feeling of his alarming proximity. You weren’t moving, or even breathing, and you looked about ready to faint. The prince, standing a good head taller than you, took this as a go-ahead however.

        His black, curly hair lowered over his blazing eyes, and you clenched your own tightly shut at the feeling of his hot breath falling over your face. The finger twirling your strands stopped, only to drag down the side of your paled cheek.

        “I’ll show you a good time.”

        “Please don’t.” His body drew closer to yours.

        “Just let me-”

        Slam!

        With a ferocious kick to his gut, the prince went flying into his decorative bookshelf, causing the first two rows of novels and other decorations to topple onto his head. If looks could kill, the man would already be six feet under as Oikawa lowered his leg, grinding his jaw and heaving his chest up and down. Running a swift hand through his brown locks, your savior let a relaxed smile fall onto his face at the sight of the prince’s gashed forehead.

        “That’s no way to treat our workers,” the brunet spat, reaching blindly for you while delivering the offender a paralyzing glower. “Don’t ever let me see you around YN again.” When his hand met yours, he snatched your wrist and dragged you out of the room, leading you outside and away from the scene.

        After you tugged on his hand in effort to get him to slow, Oikawa dug his heels into the rich carpet of the halls and swiveled back to you. His endless brown orbs searched you up and down for any signs of disturbance or corruption, and only found tears swimming in your eyes. You bit your bottom lip, but bowed your head respectfully nonetheless.

        “Thank you so much, your majesty. I don’t want to think about what could’ve happened if you hadn’t been there to save me.”

        The prince rolls his eyes and scoffs, tugging you into a bone-crushing hug and forcing your head into his shoulder. “How many times do I have to tell you to drop the stupid titles?” After a long moment, you giggle softly against his skin and wrap your arms around him, relaxing into his hold.

        “Sorry, Tooru,” he felt you grin when he sighed in relief, and the act made him giddy, “I was worried someone would hear.”

        “I don’t care. Maybe I want them to hear.” You pulled back and smacked his chest at the thought, but Oikawa didn’t care. You gave him your signature raised brow and opened your mouth to lecture him about “keeping your relationship under wraps” as per usual, only to be stopped by him pressing a finger to your lips. The feeling of you, no matter how small, almost made him groan in pleasure, but he held back, knowing you both needed to discuss what had happened.

        The playful glow in his eyes darkened into a more serious tone, and one of his hands reached up, brushing your hair out of your face before cupping your red cheek. The other interlocked his fingers with your own, and he ran a thumb along the skin of your knuckles. You had dropped your feather duster a long while ago back in the room, so you were free to press your other hand over the one against your face.

        “Are you okay?” he mumbles tightly, his gaze scanning over your body carefully once more. He doesn’t know what he would do if that man had hurt you. Actually….

        “I’m fine, but you’re about to break my fingers, so could you…” you trailed off and raised his grip into his view, displaying his suffocating grip. Oikawa let go in an instant, and his heart panged at the thought of hurting you. God, what was I thinking? Oikawa grimaced, digging his fingernails into the soft flesh of his palm.

        “I’m so sorry.”

        While blood oozed from his wounds, you smiled gently at him and shook your head, dismissing his apology. “It doesn’t matter,” his chest fluttered at the words, “I’m just glad you were there, Tooru.” He almost whimpered at the name.

        Oikawa’s body shivered in excitement as you drew closer, at last pressing your lips against his in a swift, loving kiss.

        His muscles ached to trap you against him, keep you there for longer than the five seconds you had allowed, but he knew better than that. Anything more that barely-there touches in the halls, and he would frighten you away.

        He couldn’t risk it.

        You pulled away just barely, letting your breaths brush his lips in the most intimate way as you let your eyes close, presumably to relish in the sensation. You felt the sparks of true love just as he did. He just knew it.

        He couldn’t lose you. He won’t lose you.

                                ~~~
        The door to his chambers clicked open, and Oikawa snarled at the interruption. He couldn’t stay mad for too long though. You were passed out with your head on his lap, sleeping contentedly. You were obviously worn out from the day’s events, and what better person to take care of you than the love of your life? The prince simpered at the thought, brushing his hands through your wild locks and leaning his back against his headboard.
        “Your majesty-”
        “Be quiet,” he hissed, hurling both knights a glare. When his gaze returned to you, it filled with adoration as he ran the pad of his index finger down the bridge of your nose faintly. You mewled under your breath and snuggled closer into his lap, still not waking. Oikawa cooed at the sight, and scratched your scalp with the tips of his fingernails. You always loved the feeling in your sleep; it was one of many things he knew about you.
        “Your majesty,” the first knight whispered, quieter this round. His gaze stayed locked on his liege, knowing that if it strayed south even once, the consequences would be dire. “What do you want us to do with the prince?”
        Oikawa’s lips quirk up and his expression softens. Ever so fondly, he strokes your supple cheeks with the back of his hand and leans down to peck your smooth forehead. As he drifts away a few inches from your undisturbed face, he hums serenely, enjoying the content atmosphere of the room.
        “Kill him.”
The Miracle of Childbirth (Oikawa x Reader)
The Miracle Of Childbirth (Oikawa X Reader)
*GIF not mine*
Summary: Yours and Oikawa’s children were the most amazing creatures on Earth… except when they acted like munchkin-sized pain in the asses.
A/N: Here’s a little imagine to celebrate 500 fUcKiNg followers, like holy shit!! Goddamn that’s amazing tysm :)))! (Also, it hasn’t actually happened yet, but I’m like two followers away so I’m gonna count it cuz I’ll be busy tomorrow.)  It’s more Oikawa shit bc he’s just a hot piece of flat ass, and I’m dying for more domestic stuff w him. I got it from this prompt by @otpdisaster, so enjoy!
Word count: 880
        There was no greater feeling than when you first looked into your twin children’s eyes while lying in your hospital bed. They were your shade, but had the long, curled lashes of their father. Aiko already had Tooru’s smug smirk down, and Reo had his brown tufts.
        “They’re beautiful,” you had whispered, cooing softly when Reo wrapped his miniature fingers around your pinkie. Tooru nodded softly at your bedside, cradling your little girl in his arms and smiling down at her.
        “They’re perfect,” he mumbled back, running a gentle thumb over her cheek. “They’re gonna be the best volleyball players on this side of the world.” You giggle lightly and shake your head while brushing over your boy’s fuzzy scalp, hugging his swaddled form closer to your chest.
        “I’m sure.” You sigh happily as your husband pecks Aiko’s forehead, causing her to let out a small huff.
        Every chubby little foot, every puffy tummy was gorgeous in your guys’ eyes. Nothing they could ever do would ruin the way you viewed them as the lights of your lives. They were nothing short of miracles.
        Except for when they acted like little gremlins.
        “WE CAPTURED THE DEMON!” You pause at the words and stare confusedly at the door. With a furrowed brow, you unlock your home and step inside, only to see a literal nightmare.
        Stray pillows and blankets were splayed everywhere in your living room. The couch was cushionless and there was a homemade fort in the center of it all. It was primarily supported by four dining chairs dragged out onto the lounge’s carpet, but had a barrier that consisted of the sofa’s fundamental sections and stuffed animals from the children’s rooms. Two hefty comforters overlapped above its foundation and stood as an accessible entrance to the inside.
        Both Aiko and Reo ran circles around the fortress with victorious war cries, waving their nerf guns wildly above their heads. “We captured the demon! We captured the demon!” Their yells echoed throughout the whole house as they scrambled up the stairs, presumably to grab more ammo. You, throughout all of this, had watched in a mixture of horror and amusement.
        “Tooru?” you called out, glancing around the house for any sight of your husband.
        “Mmmpf mmpf!” A muffled voice hummed from within the fort. Releasing a heavy sigh, you set down your keys and purse on the coffee table before kneeling down on the carpet. You crawl on your hands and knees to the fort, pushing aside a blanket and peering in. The sight before you was almost laughable.
        Surrounded by a barrage of nerf darts and duct taped to a flimsy tea party chair was Tooru, gagged with a bundled pair of socks. Glitter sparkled in his brown hair and one plastic dart stood like a unicorn horn from his head while he frowned at you.
        You could only smirk. “Need a little help?” He narrows his eyes, throwing a lazy glare your way. .
        “Plugh,” he spits out the sock, “Welcome home.”
        “Gee thanks,” you snicker before gesturing up and down at him. “So what, uh, what happened here?”
        “Our children might become criminals.” He shakes his head wildly to loosen his forehead decoration, but it sticks like a piece of gum on the underside of a table. Tossing his head back in frustration, he lets out a loud groan before wiggling his captivated form at you. “You mind?”
        “I guess I must.” You decide to show him pity and unwrap his hands, snorting when you rip off some arm hair.
        “Owwie!” he pouts while rubbing his wrists, rising up from the plastic pink chair. After flicking away the nerf dart, you lead the way back into the outside world and Tooru squints at the change in lighting.
        “How long were you in there?”
        “Too long,” his eyes are haunted while he stares disorientedly at the wall. “I can’t believe my own children think I’m a demon.”
        “Yeah, well, I’m the evil mom who won’t buy them McDonald’s every night. We all got problems.” As daily tradition, you peck his lips softly before walking into the kitchen to prepare dinner.
        “What’s on the menu tonight?” He follows you and winds his arms around your waist, settling his chin on your shoulder while you sift through the cupboards.
        “Green bean casserole.”
        Two gasps sound from behind you.
        “Oh no, they’re both demons now!” Reo exclaims.
        “GET ‘EM!” Aiko shouts, and suddenly you’re being used as a human shield while Tooru screeches behind you in terror. Neft darts begin hit you in savory and unsavory places, and one even pokes you in the eye before-
        “Hey, look, now Mommy’s a unicorn too!”
Fake Marks, True Love (Oikawa x Reader)
image
*GIF not mine*
Summary: The hickey was fake, but the pain Oikawa felt when he saw it? It was real, and it hurt like a bitch. “Who touched you?”
A/N: Angst! Angst! Angst (and fluff)! Also, another prank fanfic? Wow! Who’d have thought? Anyways, I hope y’all enjoy this fake hickey prank with Aoba Johsai’s cocky setter!
Word count: 1341
        The dark splotch on your neck was perfect. It was slightly below your ear and couldn’t be easily covered by hair or clothing. I could be a makeup artist. You dipped the brush into the powder and dusted it over the mark as a final touch, making it seem more natural and subtle.
       “And now we wait,” you mutter, packing up the eyeshadows and foundations around you before settling down in the living room. You bundle up in a thick sweatshirt and yoga pants, hopping onto the couch and preparing for Oikawa to come over after finishing practice.
       About an hour later, the TV is loud and lit up the room with your show, but you could still hear your boyfriend’s knock on the door along with the call of your name. You had almost drifted off to sleep, so you yawn while rubbing your eyes with the back of your hands.
       “YN!” He rang the doorbell obnoxiously until you whipped open the door with a fierce glare.
       “Was that really necessary?” you hiss, the jingles still ringing in your ears.
       “Of course,” he scoffed, “I wanted to see you. Be flattered.” He smirks at you before stepping inside, glancing around your house while kicking off his shoes.
       “The Office? Really?” He raised a brow at your entertainment choice. “You’ve watched that like a million times.”
       “And I’ll watch it a million more, so get used to it.” You stick out your tongue and trudge back over to the couch, Oikawa snagging your waist in the process and following closely behind you. His hands were cold from outside and rough from his practice.
       “I suppose I’ll have to, won’t I?” He sighs dramatically and flops onto the sofa beside you, plopping his sweaty head on your lap.
       “Ew, ew, ewww!” You pat his forehead in an effort to urge him to move but he only swats your hand away.
       “Shush,” he relaxes both arms behind his head, not-so subtly caressing your thighs in the process. “It’s not that bad.” You know he’s right. Sweaty or not, his hair is always soft and calming to run your hands through, so you do it.
       “See?” His brown eyes glow from down on your lap and you roll your own at him.
       “Fine, you win-”
       “God, I love hearing those words.”
       “Now shut up and let me watch Jim prank Dwight.”
       “Fine, I will. Now you shush and let me,” he pauses for a second, looking up at your face confusedly, “... stare… at… you,” he trails off. His brows are furrowed and his eyes are filled with pain. What’s wrong with him? You glance down curiously before returning your gaze to the screen.
       A hand of his peels out from under his head and reaches up to brush over your face then down under your ear. Smiling faintly, you lean into his touch. He was gentle with his movements and you close your eyes to focus on the feeling. “YN.”
       You hum in response.
       “Who touched you?” His voice is tense and restrained. Your eyes fly open and narrow in confusion.
       “What?”
       “Who did this?” He sits up and turns to face you, keeping his fingers against the side of your neck. “Who stole you from me?”
       “What are you-” Oh shit.
       Your hand flies up to feel for the fake hickey, but Oikawa’s is already there.
       “Yeah, that’s right,” he sneers while his voice trembles, “I saw it.” You’re conflicted between ending it right now by telling him and staying silent to see where it goes. Wait, why did I do this again?
       “How could you?” His Adam’s apple bobs while he pushes your hair back once more to view the artificial mark, only to scoff in disbelief and shake his head. You breathe out waveringly and fidget with your fingers. Should I stop now? God, why am I doing this?
       “It’s not what you think.” You avoid his gaze and mutter more excuses, “I just fell.” He gives you a pained smile and his eyes start to water.
       “On your neck?” he whispers breathlessly. You nod and he shakes his head once more, loosening a tear from his eye.
       “YN, please. Tell me the truth.”
       “I am!” you plead.
       “You’re lying!” he exclaims suddenly, pushing off the couch to pace back and forth in front of you anxiously. His hands tug on his hair harshly while he bites his lip.
       “How long?”
       “Baby, it’s not-”
       “Who was it?”
       “Tooru-”
       “Was he better than me?” he whispers, eyes filled with hurt while he watches you.
       “Tooru, no, it’s a prank!” you shout, standing up and approaching him, only to be stopped by his outstretched hands.
       “YN, I can’t.” He shakes his head and your heart stops.
       “Can’t what?” you ask softly, eyes welling up with tears.
       “I can’t stay here.” Oikawa stumbles back, searching the floor frantically for his shoes. “I-,” he chokes back a sob, “I can’t be with you anymore.”
       “Tooru wait!” You sprint over and slide into the door, slamming it shut just as he opens it. Tears fall down his face silently as you let out trembling breaths. Without a word, you grab his hand and lead him to the bathroom.
       “YN don’t-”
       “Shut up.” Your voice cracks pitifully as you drag him in and switch on the light. You hold him in place with a tight grip and silently turn on the faucet.
       “YN…” he trails off in awe, watching as you rub away the fake love mark until it is only an awkward rash of purple under your ear. Slowly, you turn your head up to face him in the mirror, dropping his hand and leaning against the counter while you wait.
       “It was just a prank,” you mumble, pursing your lips and losing yourself in his brown eyes. At last, he seems to hear you. And believe you. His nose flairs and he frantically wipes at his cheeks, hoping to erase the wave of sadness from earlier. Then he lets out a forced chuckle.
       “Thank God,” he laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if-” Oikawa breaks off with a whimper and pulls you into an embrace, weeping gently into your shoulder. In an instant, you return the hug, but you widen your eyes in an attempt to keep your own cries at bay. The resistance doesn’t last long, and you tuck your head into his neck, squeezing the back of his shirt tightly while you let out your own body-wracking sobs.
       “Don’t ever do that again,” he begs, sighing when you press a kiss to his neck.
       “Never,” you promise, nodding in agreement. Hesitantly, he leans back to look at your face and uses a thumb to wipe away a stray tear. For a moment longer, his fingers stroke your cheek before trailing down to your chin, swiftly pulling you forward for a kiss. Your lips clash together and you both let out a moan at the feeling. His bottom lip is puffy from when he had bitten on it devastatedly earlier, but you don’t hesitate to perform the same job in the heat of the moment.
       Oikawa groans before separating to allow you to breathe. The break doesn’t last long, and you sigh wantonly when he begins to attack the skin of your throat.
       “My marks are the only ones that should ever touch your neck,” he gives you a heated glance while you gaze back dazedly and nod in agreement. “Allow me to demonstrate,” he mumbles, lips brushing hotly against you with every syllable. After a harsh bite, you mewl and dig your hands into his hair, yanking on the brunet’s tufts encouragingly.
       “Please do.”
Warm Embraces (Oikawa x Reader)
image
*GIF not mine*
Summary: Naked cuddles with Oikawa need no purpose.
A/N: Sleeping at five am gets really hard when birds start chirping (just rewatched Say “I Love You” tho, so it’s worth it). Got this idea from this prompt by @otpprompts. Enjoy this super short fic!
Word count: 581
        The door to your room opened just as you finally shut your laptop. The last of your homework was complete, and the giddy rush that came with that realization washed like a wave right over you.
        “YN?”
        “Tooru.” Your parents must have let him in and directed him to your room. Your boyfriend smiles tiredly at your acknowledgement and shuts the door behind him while you snuggle deeper under your sheets. Heaving out an exhausted sigh, he unzips his jacket and lays it over your desk chair before lifting up his jersey.
        “Hey there, whatcha doin’?” Thankfully, your voice is solid and teasing, but your cheeks begin to betray you. He dismisses your blush, scoffing and rolling his eyes playfully.
        “Don’t get too excited, horndog. I just wanna cuddle.”
        “Naked?”
        “Yep.” His shirt gets flung to a dark corner of your room before Oikawa gestures for you to join in the activity. Well, who were you to deny your Adonis of a boyfriend?
        After accomplishing that task, you both lazily burrow under your warm covers, clumped together rather tightly on your twin-sized bed. The close quarters didn’t mind either of you. You set up a random movie on your laptop while your boyfriend held you closely from behind, his silent breaths rousing the hair on the back of your neck. You set the volume of the laptop forgettably low and place it on your nightstand before turning back to Oikawa.
        “How did the game go?” Your fingers lightly draw obscure shapes on his athletic chest and your mouth curves into a small smile. With his hands resting on your exposed hips, he tugs you closer and presses his forehead to yours.
        “Good. We won.” The swirls of dark chocolate others would lamely call eyes are glimmering proudly at the memory, and his thin, pink lips curl at the corners.
        “I hope so, ‘cause you’re really sweaty.” Your boyfriend gawks at your words and then whines exaggeratedly.
        “You’re so mean! Way to ruin the moment.” He pulls away from you with a pout and grumbles under his breath. Giggling at the action, you reach up and bring his lips to your own, giving him a short, gentle kiss to make up for it. Separating hesitantly, Oikawa licks his lips with debating eyes.
        “Apology accepted,” he declares decidedly while wrapping his arms around your waist and pinning his chest against yours. His body was warm and unexpectedly comfortable, but you busied yourself with dipping your fingers into his hair and combing through the brown locks fondly. Sighing contentedly, your boyfriend tucks his head into the side of your neck and plants affectionate kisses here and there.
        Before long, his movements slow and his breaths become heavy. Hot puffs of air tickle the fresh marks on your skin he couldn’t resist to make. You intertwine your bare legs with his own and snuggle closer to his soft hair, not hesitating to press a small kiss into the wild, slightly-sweaty strands. The muscles throughout your body relax in his tender, tired hold one by one, and your eyes begin to droop. At last, with the sounds of Oikawa’s deep exhales and the drones of the movie behind you, you finally fall into a warm, blissful slumber.
How You Left
“You wanna watch a movie tonight?”
There’s a slight pause at your words, a mellow voice echoing throughout the four walls of your shared apartment as your boyfriend, Oikawa, looks up from his phone, his smile slowly fading.
“About that,” he purses his lips, “I’m busy later.”
It only takes those three words, the exact ones that he’s overused for the past three months to make your heart drop. Even without context, you already know that this must be something that revolves around his best friend, Nari, someone who seems to be more important to Oikawa than you.
It’s almost as if they’re in the relationship, and you’re his supportive best friend instead.
iwaoi hanahaki disease au!!
oikawa caught the hanahaki disease as he slowly discovers his love for iwaizumi. while in the middle of a late night call with one another, oikawa started coughing up petals and blood. iwaizumi, who thought that oikawa was just sick brushed it off as him just having a bad cough. later on, iwaizumi had figured out while visiting oikawa one day, that it was not just a bad cough that night that they were having a late night call. it was the hanahaki disease, that he did not believe in had happened to his very best friend. the friend that he grew up with.
will oikawa be getting the surgery and live a sad, unlovable life, or will he suffer his last weeks seeing his best friend fall in love with the manager of seijoh?
!! cw, read before continuing !! : major character death, heavy angst, mentions of blood, potential character death, cursing, hallucinations, mix of lower case and upper case, incorrect punctuations
oikawa huffed, fishing out his phone from his pockets as he impatiently waited for his friend to answer his messages. he was waiting at the front of the school gates, he remembered he promised to iwaizumi that he would wait for him in front of the school gates so they could walk to class together, but it seems that he was running a bit late.
he was waiting for roughly 15 minutes, his legs starting to give up on him for standing so long. he groaned, moving to get his phone from his pockets again to call iwaizumi, but stopped when he saw a figure walking in the distance.
his eyes lit up, head snapping in iwaizumi's direction to wave and greet him. iwaizumi rolled his eyes, but raised a hand and waved back. oikawa was about to call out to iwaizumi, but the words fell short on his tongue as he watched seijoh's volleyball team manager approach iwaizumi. his huge grin had calmed down to a tight lipped smile, a smile that won't reach his eyes no matter how he tries as he watched them interact.
they chat for a few minutes, slowly making their way to oikawa.
by the time they're reach him, his smile had fully went and gone. his eyes didn't shine as they did earlier as he turned away from them and faced the school, the cracks of the walls seemingly much more interesting than whatever they were talking about.
oikawa started staring off to space, not being able to hear anything around him as he got lost in his own mind.
"oh, oikawa-san! i didn't see you there!" oikawa snapped out of his trance. where was he again? he let his eyes wander for a short while as they landed on the girl in front of him. oh. right. school.
"yeah haha hi" he awkwardly muttered, subconsciously letting his hand rest on the back of his neck.
iwaizumi and the manager chatted for a few more minutes, before they finally said their goodbyes and walked away from each other.
'finally, i was getting bored' oikawa thought monotonously, looking back to iwaizumi who had hearts in his eyes.
oikawa furrowed his eyebrows. what's so special about a girl? i mean, he gets it if it's his mom, or sister, or cousin but? he doesnt get it if they're just a schoolmate.
oikawa heaved a small cough, covering his mouth with his hand as he did so. when he lifted his hand back up there was a pink petal. it looked like a hydrangea petal. he remembered a small conversation that he and iwaizumi had a few years back.
"hey iwa-chan, what's your favorite flower?"
"ha? what, are you gonna get me flowers for my grave or something? i'm not dead yet loserkawa"
"what- no i'm not! i'm just asking because i'm curious! jeez mean iwa-chan." oikawa frowned, rubbing the spot where iwaizumi had hit him
iwaizumi thought for a bit, looking up at the ceiling as he does so.
"well, i suppose i like hydrangea flowers"
"the pink one?" oikawa tilted his head to the side, i curious glint in his eyes.
iwaizumi confirmed that by nodding.
image
he wondered where the petal came from. did it fall from a tree? he shrugged it off, nudging iwaizumi's arm as he started walking towards the school. iwaizumi blinked, shaking off his trance, his head snapped towards oikawa, a pink tint to his cheeks.
"oi! what was that for, shittykawa?!"
oikawa laughed, starting to jog towards the school doors.
"i can see the hearts in your eyes whenever you talk to manager-chan. you like her, don't you, iwa-chan??" oikawa teased as he saw the irk mark on iwaizumi's head grow. he didn't like admitting it, or even acknowledging it, but he knew that iwaizumi, did in fact like their volleyball teams manager. he has talked about her a few times, mentioned her name that even oikawa didn't have the time or care to even remember of.
his smile faltered once more. but when he saw iwaizumi coming at him full charge his grin went back, starting to run away from the devil like iwaizumi.
"damn you shittykawa i told you not to say that outloud!!" oikawa laughed, a little squeak coming out of the end as he tries to escape iwaizumi.
ah, what a peaceful life it is.
a few weeks later, exams was just right around the corner, pulling at every students heads and giving them a headache. oikawa was no different.
although he did seem smart, which he was, he just wasn't keen in a few subjects.
luckily, iwaizumi liked the subjects oikawa loathed, so he asked if iwaizumi could help him in those subjects, exchanging agedashi tofu or grilled mackerel pike for the help.
iwaizumi agreed, acting all grumpy as oikawa called him through discord.
"yahoo iwa-chan!" iwaizumi grumbled a small greeting, oikawa hearing a bit of shuffling and pages turning.
oikawa chuckled.
"oi, what are you laughing at?"
"it's just the way you act all grumpy about teaching me, but i know you love teaching me cause i'm just so irresistible, arent i iwa-chan?"
"yeah, so irresistibly annoying"
"hey! mean iwa-chan!" oikawa huffed, taking out his notebooks from his bag.
he heard iwaizumi chuckle through his headset, and he smiled.
"so what do you not understand in ap history?"
"uhm, everything?"
"tch, expected from a dumbass like you"
"hey! rude! i'm not a dumbass!" oikawa coughed. petals flowing through his mouth. what was happening?
"oh come on, just admit it loserkawa" iwaizumi chuckled. iwaizumi continued to look through his notebook, not minding how oikawa was coughing so much.
"oi, 'kawa, drink some water dumbass!" iwaizumi half muttered, trying to focus on reading the contents of his notebook.
when the coughing continued, iwaizumi frowned, furrowing his eyebrows and looking up from his notebook to stare at his computer.
"hey, shittykawa, are you okay?" iwaizumi's voice was laced with concern for his friend, as he closed his notebook and placed it on his study table.
there were a few more coughs, before oikawa weakly answered;
"i'll be alright iwa-chan, don't worry."
"are you sure? you're coughing pretty bad."
"yeah, i think i just caught a cold."
"well, alright then... if something happens to you tell me immediately, if you don't i'll beat you up."
oikawa let out a small chuckle.
"i'll make sure of that iwa-chan."
now, in any other situation, that would have made oikawa's heart flutter, and his stomach burst with butterflies, but in this situation, he didn't think he could feel that at the moment. his head was aching, not because of studying, hell, he hasn't even started studying yet, but because of coughing so much in a short amount of time.
his throat felt dry, sticky with blood and itchy from small thorns. his study desk was littered with small petals of hydrangea flowers, a few thorns sticking out. his eyes felt droopy and tired all of a sudden, as if he was ready to pass out.
he shook his head.
'i can study tomorrow early in the morning' he thought to himself as he grabbed a bottle of water from his study desk. he drank a few gulps, his face scrunching up in pain as he felt the thorns scratch at his throat.
"hey, iwa-chan, is it fine if we just study tomorrow early in the morning? i'm feeling kinda tired now"
"wha- i dont think you haven't even studie-"
"yes? okay, thank you iwa-chan. i'll see you tomorrow" oikawa hurriedly left the call, as to avoid any questions or remarks from iwaizumi.
a few seconds later, a faint, calm ding ringed through his room. he peeled his eyes open to look at his computer.
iwa-chan! ʕ→ᴥ←ʔ (sent at 12:52 AM, February 25th)
[oi, get some rest. you don't need to study early in the morning, just try to remember what you can and write it down. drink water before you go to bed lazykawa. goodnight.]
the message read. oikawa smiled faintly, glancing at his dirty study desk.
"i'll sleep in a bit. for now, i have to clean this mess.." oikawa muttered, standing up and scooping the petals in his arms. this is going to be a pain.
image
by the time the exam days have ended, oikawa was exhausted. there were bags under his eyes, and his coughing was getting worse. iwaizumi didn't show it, but he worried for his friend.
"oi, oikawa! have you eaten yet?" oikawa stopped in his tracks, his head slowly turning to iwaizumi.
"uhm, no? why? is it lunch yet?"
"dumbass, what do you mean 'is it lunch yet'?! didnt you hear the bell ring?" oikawa blinked. the bell rung?
oikawa squinted his eyes and slowly shook his head.
iwaizumi sighed. 'how much sleep has this dumbass been getting? 2 hours?' he thought, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"sorry iwaizumi. i just have not been feeling well these past few days." oikawa smiled up at him tiredly.
iwaizumi was stunned. 'iwaizumi?' he thought, surprised. the name almost felt foreign to hear, even though it was the name he was born with, the name that almost everyone has called him with.
it felt weird to hear, because oikawa had only called him that when they first met. iwaizumi furrowed his eyebrows.
"iwaizumi?" he parroted his thoughts, looking oikawa in the eyes as if he could see right through him.
"what, isn't that your name?"
"well, it is, but....you never call me iwaizumi. it's always iwa-chan or something" iwaizumi had muttered, tapping his knuckles on oikawa's shared table. oikawa smiled.
"aweeee, is iwa-chan sad that i don't call him iwa-chan anymore?" oikawa chuckled, lazily hooking his head on his hand to rest for as he gazed up at iwaizumi.
"wha- are you dumb?! i was just worried about you, you asshole!" iwaizumi raged, snapping at oikawa.
oikawa let out a weak, hearty laugh.
“yeah, i know."
image
it had been 2 long weeks. the petals have grown to be half of the hydrangea, the thorns bigger than before, and there started to be much more blood then the first few times he'd cough up petals. iwaizumi had been checking on oikawa almost everyday, sending him messages, calls, and voice mails. all that iwaizumi knew of oikawa's situation was that oikawa was getting sicker as the days went.
he felt like his brain was rotting, slowly turning to nothing but dust.
oikawa had have this happen happen to him before, the feeling of waves of tiredness constantly crashing down his body, his brain felt like it was melting, his legs felt like jelly, his head spinning, making his head hurt like hell.
he scratched at his throat, and hissed when he itched it for a moment too long. his room was a mess. petals scattered around with the occasional blood, and a few thorns stuck to some of the petals.
oikawa sighed. he hasn't had the energy to clean his room for a couple weeks, always feeling so nauseous and heavy whenever he got home from school. oikawa groaned, moving to lay down on his side to try and get some sleep before he started coughing up again. maybe he could get some rest before he-
the doorbell rang.
oikawa froze.
and his blood ran cold.
fuck.
he slowly sat up, gripping the futon in between his hands until his knuckles turned white. he looked around his room, seeing the mess of everything.
he let out a small groan, praying, begging to whoever was up there that it was just a delivery guy that his mom had sent to give him food.
when he got up from his futon, muttering barely even a whisper; "coming" as the doorbell impatiently rang a second time, dragging his feet to his front door, and peeking through the peep hole.
he wanted the ground to swallow him up whole.
standing there, in all of his glory, outside in casual wear was iwaizumi, holding on to a steaming plastic bag of his favorite milk bread that was bought in the small corner store in the neighborhood oikawa lived in.
"ugh, what is taking that lazykawa so long to answer the door" he heard iwaizumi mutter, before he moved to ring the doorbell once more, the sound ringing throughout his house.
oikawa froze in his place, a small blush climbing to his cheeks. he shook off the feelings and lightly patted his cheeks, calming his racing heart down before he made a move to turn the knob of the door.
when the door opened, he peeked outside, looking up at iwaizumi, then down to what he was holding, then back up at iwaizumi. this continued on for a few seconds, iwaizumi slowly growing on an irk mark as it pressed on.
"oi! aren't you gonna let me inside?!" iwaizumi questioned, his patience growing thin. he noticed oikawa froze to stare up at him, then slowly look back at his house, then quickly looking back up at iwaizumi.
"what, you got a fuck buddy hiding in there? tell them that i don't care and that to leave, you're sick"
"pfft-" he heard oikawa chuckle, before he looked back up at iwaizumi with an amused glint in his eyes, his cheeks tinted a rosy pink from the joke that iwaizumi made.
they stared at each other for a few minutes, a small smile playing at their lips.
"so are they gone now? can i come in? come on i don't want my ass to freeze here"
"pfft, iwa-chan, come on, you of all people should know that i don't have a fuck buddy cause i'm not that type of person."
"yea, yea, i know, but what's taking you so long to let me in anyway? your food is getting cold." oikawa stared at the plastic bag in his friend's hands, the steam slowly clearing. oikawa frowned, then lead his eyes away from the bag to stare up back at his friends eyes.
"my house is a mess."
"and? so is mine. we've both seen each others house and we know it's similar to a pigsty." even when iwaizumi made a joke, oikawa didn't laugh, or even crack a smile. a frown still tugged on the setter's lips, which made iwaizumi sport on a frown too.
"it can't be that bad, i'm sure my place is dirtier than yours anyway. just let me in, i don't want your food to be cold when you eat it." with a hesitant glance to his house and back at iwaizumi, oikawa slowly opened the door, stepping aside to let his visitor in.
iwaizumi took off his shoes, placing them neatly to the side while he placed the plastic bag beside him on the floor so he could work on his shoes. once he stood up to his full height, he picked up the plastic bag and took a quick look around the house.
"it isn't that bad, what do you mean it's a mess?"
"i meant my room. i haven't cleaned it ever since i got sick" iwaizumi nodded, going to the kitchen to place the bag of food on the kitchen counter. oikawa happily hopped to the bag, muttering a small "thank you" and "itadakimasu" before biting into the bread. a satisfied hum left him buzzing, already grabbing a second one to munch on.
iwaizumi lingered his stare on oikawa for a second too long, a small smile gracing his lips before he turned away and gazed at the hallway leading to the bathroom and oikawa's room.
the door to oikawa's room was opened wide, and while oikawa was busy chomping down the food that iwaizumi had bought him, iwaizumi made his way to oikawa's room, intending to close the door, but when he got there, a small, pink, almost white petal greeted him just outside of oikawa's room, a few, maybe 6, was scattered outside of oikawa's room.
iwaizumi raised an eyebrow. flower petals? outside oikawa's room? he wondered. when he crouched to pick them up and throw them away, blood was next to the petals. iwaizumi's eyes widened.
blood? who's blood?
his eyes trailed, following the blood which lead straight to oikawa's room. the room was lit up, which made it easier to see. in oikawa's room, scattered petals, thick thorns, some dangerously thin you can barely see them, and blood. some blood on his sheets, on the floor, his study desk.
oikawa peeked a head out of the kitchen to check where iwaizumi had gone to, and when he saw him just outside his room, staring straight at him with wide eyes and a pale face, that he knew right then and there, that iwaizumi hajime had known.
image
they sat in thick silence in oikawa's living room, sipping on the warm tea that iwaizumi had made for the both of them. oikawa wondered when was the last time he had drank tea. it soothed his throat, and calmed his nerves. but not calm enough.
he heaved a cough deep in his chest and covered his mouth with his hand, catching the petals, thorns, and blood on his hand.
oikawa winced as he opened his hand, staring down at his hand that was full of thorny, bloodied, petals.
iwaizumi watched his expression with a frown, and turned his gaze to look at his friend's hand. he furrowed his eyebrows. iwaizumi knew that oikawa was a total love sick person, dreaming about having a girlfriend, possibly a boyfriend before high school ended. he stood from his seat and went to the bathroom to throw away the petals and wash his hands. when he came back, they sat in silence once again.
oikawa traced the rim of the cup with his finger, staring into the contents of the cup with an emotion that iwaizumi could not pin down. iwaizumi stared into his own cup, looking at his reflection as he blinked back the tears that was daring him to spill.
iwaizumi sighed.
"so how long"
"....which one?"
"how long since you've known."
"maybe a month or two ago."
".....how long?"
"......2 weeks tops"
iwaizumi grimaced. thats so little time.
"get surgery"
"no"
"why?"
"i'd rather die loving the person i fell in love with rather than dying a pitiful, long, unlovable death, iwa-chan."
he was right there.
"who is it?"
"you'll get mad if i tell you who."
"i wont"
"next time"
iwaizumi grimaced once more. when is 'next time'? when he's 6 feet under?
iwaizumi gazed up at his friend with glassy eyes, while oikawa just stared bitterly at his cup. iwaizumi looked back down, clasping his hands together.
"alright. next time it is."
image
iwaizumi stared longingly at the smiling picture of oikawa atop his coffin, tears brimming his eyes as he stared longer.
he averted his gaze to the ground, tears rolling down his cheeks and dropping down to the floor.
he promised oikawa that he wouldn't cry in his funeral, and instead make embarrassing jokes about him, and when oikawa laughed, saying it would piss his family off, iwaizumi couldn't care less. he wanted to make oikawa's funeral light hearted, the way he wants it to be. but he himself can't even mutter up a single word, trying to choke up his sobs as he covered his mouth with his hand.
he could imagine oikawa laughing at him in wherever he ended up in, saying that he sounded so cocky and sure of himself when he uttered bullshit to his face about his funeral as they planned it in their heads, but now he's just a crying mess, the funeral that he and oikawa planned the night before he died long forgotten as his chest tightened up, and his eyes blurred the colors and details of the world.
iwaizumi was tapped on his shoulder by his team mate, catching his attention as he looked up with fat tears rolling down his cheeks like waterfalls.
"i-iwaizumi-san... it's your turn to speak." kindaichi mumbled, holding back tears of his own. iwaizumi let his eyes wander to the front as he nodded numbly to kindaichi's words. he didn't want to speak. his throat closed up, and his hands became clammy, his heart beating out of his chest, head spinning as a headache rolled in.
he looked back down to the ground, and clenched his fist. he made his way to the front, dragging his feet behind him as he tried to collect his thoughts and words to make a speech.
once he was there, he stared. with a troubled, and lost expression, iwaizumi started speaking.
image
"hey, iwa-chan?"
"hm?" iwaizumi hummed, playing with the strands of oikawa's hair.
"remember when you asked me who it was?"
"yeah. are you going to tell me now?" iwaizumi questioned, grabbing oikawa's hand and playing with his fingers.
"well, you might get mad."
"i get mad at everything you do, tooru."
"so you're going to get mad when i say that i got the hanahaki disease because of you?" oikawa questioned his friend, grasping at iwaizumi's hand and holding it in his.
iwaizumi froze.
he tightened his grip on oikawa's hand.
"well,"
iwaizumi started off, hesitant in picking his words
"i cant....get mad at you for having feelings." oikawa brought their interlocked hands to his lips. iwaizumi could feel oikawa smile against his hand as he placed a chaste kiss on the exposed skin.
"why not?"
iwaizumi stayed silent, carefully watching oikawa's movements.
when oikawa turned his head to look at iwaizumi, his cheeks flared pink.
"w-what the hell are you staring at, iwa-chan?" oikawa fumbled, squeezing iwaizumi's hand. iwaizumi squeezed back as a response.
"ugh, i hate you so much" iwaizumi grumbled, holding oikawa's head in place as he planted a barely there kiss on top of his forehead.
image
iwaizumi didn't know why, but a memory of him and oikawa laying down on the couch, limbs tangled together in a mess had played while he was speaking.
if oikawa was here to see iwaizumi's little speech he'd laugh his stupid laugh that iwaizumi had grown accustomed to, finding comfort in his little wheezes and squeaks whenever he laughed. he would laugh at iwaizumi's sappy speech, telling him to cheer up because they're going to get his favorite food later after this is finished.
iwaizumi just bitterly chuckled at that thought.
'if'
'if is such a dumb word.' iwaizumi thought, folding his hands in front of himself as he went back to his spot before.
he thought, he could feel oikawa's presence by his side. he thought he could see oikawa's smile as he side hugged iwaizumi. he thought he could hear his low chuckle as he made a small joke about how ugly iwaizumi looked while he was crying. he thought he got a glimpse of oikawa's dumb brown hair that always looked to be in great condition no matter what. he thought he could feel him.
he thought.
.....
iwaizumi hated it here. it felt suffocating. felt like everyone was hogging up all the oxygen and leaving none for him.
so he left early.
image
he walked down the street, lifelessness showing clearly in his eyes. the people walking around him bumped into him, some not bothering to say sorry, some even yelling at him but he could care less.
he pulled his scarf closer to his nose, burying his head deeper into the folds of the soft cotton. he weakly huffed, eyes searching the busy street of cars for something. was it oikawa he was searching? he didn't know either.
his eyes lingered on a street lamp before wandering again, slowly blinking. eyes stopping dead on a figure in the middle of the street.
"iwa-chan!" oikawa waved, smiling brightly at iwaizumi.
iwaizumi's eyes lit up, his feet moving on its own.
he choked down a sob as he walked towards oikawa.
walking turned to jogging.
and jogging turned to running.
"shittykawa, what are you doing there! you'll get hit!" iwaizumi let out a cracked chuckle, finally a few inches away from him. he reached out to him, but oikawa dodged, laughing as he ran away from iwaizumi.
"come catch me if you can, iwa-chan!" oikawa challenged, running towards the other end of the street.
iwaizumi's eyes dilated. no, he couldn't lose oikawa again.
"t-tooru wait, no, please, don't leave me again!" iwaizumi desperately called, running after oikawa. the said person laughed giddily, turning to iwaizumi and opening his arms.
"come home iwa-chan! i miss you" oikawa managed a smile, his eyes shining brightly as iwaizumi stared into them.
"home...haha...sure, tooru." iwaizumi panted, hanging his arms around oikawa's waist.
oikawa placed his chin atop iwaizumi's head and wrapped his arms around iwaizumi's shoulders, shielding his sight from the incoming truck.
"yeah. you're home now, hajime."
ah, how cruel life is.
Summary: You are the older sister of Tobio Kageyama, who happens to study at Aoba Johsai Highschool. You and your brother get along well with the shared love for volleyball, but what happens when his arch enemy is your boyfriend.
PT: 1 2 3 4&5
A/N:This is pretty long and I’m sorry if this part isn’t as good, ol classes has been making me cry all week lmao.
~~~

Throughout Sunday and Monday, all you could think about was the moment at the park at your date with Tooru. Sure before both of you would flirt with the other but now that you were official it wasn't just sweet nothings it was now a show of love to one another.

"Hey (Y/N)-chan, you've been spacing out since this morning, was your date with Oikawa-senpai that amazing?" You were currently at your volleyball club doing drills with the whole team, Akari was currently trying to receive the teams' spikes as she is the teams' libero. "It was pretty good actually"

"Ooo spill the details! but don't make it obvious or else coach might scold us for slacking off" Ichika, who was setting the ball to the team, smiled at you as you started to blush. "W-well, we went to the cafe around 1, he gave me this big bouquet of roses which was harder to hide from my family than I thought, after the cafe, we went to the park to play some volleyball and as usual even with an injury he was better at me but after that... well...I"

You hadn't noticed but your team had surrounded you looking awestruck with a smile on their face. "I asked him to be my boyfriend and he said yes...so I guess we're together now"

"What! You asked him! I really thought Oikawa-senpai would be the one to have guts and ask you out!"

"Oh my god, that was so romantic!"

"I wish I had someone like that!"

The team started rambling about how lucky you are and how they're happy for you, even the first years who had such an extreme crush on Oikawa was congratulating you. "Ok girls, that's enough, go back to practicing" Your coach said as he had announced the next few drills and improvements for those who needed it.

After practice, you, Ichika, and Akari stopped by the gym where the men's volleyball team would practice. Just as you opened the door, a ball immediately came hurtling at you, by pure instinct you dropped the book you had in hand with your bag as you received the ball. "Gee guys, thank you for the warm welcome" You told the team as Akari and Ichika helped you gather your stuff that fell out of your bad.

"Gomen (Y/N)-chan I kind of messed up that spike" You noticed the voice to be Hanamaki Takahiro or Makki as Tooru would call him.

"(Y/N)-chan, did your practice finish early?" The voice was from your boyfriend who had a towel around his neck and a water bottle at hand, you felt a push from behind you which you guessed was either Akari or Ichika which made you stumble to Toorus' chest. You glared at the pair as they looked away pretending nothing happened. "Yeah, coach said we should get plenty of rest for tomorrow"

"Oh well, why not watch our practice for a while? I'm actually not doing much because of my injury but we can go home together after practice" After those words came out of Tooru's mouth, Ichika and Akari announced that they would be leaving early as they both flashed you a thumbs up. "Sure! try not hitting me with a ball though" You winked at Tooru as he only giggled and told you to sit down near the bench where their coach was.

"Coach Nobuteru! I haven't seen you in a while! How are the guys?" You were particularly close with the men's volleyball coach since he was the one who suggested you join the women's volleyball team at Aoba Johsai when he saw you play at middle school. "Ah, (Y/N) I'm guessing you're here to watch your boyfriend play? and they're doing fine Oikawa has been a good captain for the team"

"Eh? Where did you even hear that I was dating Tooru?"

"He isn't exactly tight-lipped when it comes to talking about you"

You blushed at his statement as you focused back on the drills and spikes happening at the gym. Your mind drifted to what Coach Nobuteru had said, it felt nice that someone was as interested in you as you are in them. The moment you and Tooru had met after a match, he came with the men's volleyball team to congratulate the women's team. Your eyes immediately locked with this as he patted your head and said his congratulations to you, despite having fangirls everywhere even when he was just a 2nd year he always tried to find you in the crowd every time you would watch his matches and vice versa.

~~~
The next day after class you had met up with your team to do warm-ups before the opposing team arrived. Since the Gym that the female's volleyball club was under renovation both the male and female were forced to share one gym as it turned out that both had practice math scheduled on the same day.
"(Y/N)-chan, I know this is a practice match but I expect you to do your best" Your captain, Yui Sato, had told you after the warm-ups. "You can count on me Sato-senpai!" She smiled at you as you go back to where Akari and Ichika were talking. "How fun is it that we get to watch the guys play! well even though we stay at the basketball side for practicing but still! It's been so long since I've seen them play!" Ichika said as she bounces happily.
"Oh, (Y/N)-chan isn't that volleyball jacket too big on you?" You blushed as you pulled on the collar of the jacket you were wearing. "Well, it's actually... Tooru's jacket" they both squealed as they started teasing you about him. You looked back at the other team and noticed that their captain was nowhere to be seen. "I'll be back you guys, I need to ask Iwaizumi something"
You approached the males' team as some of them said their greetings. "Hey Iwa-Kun, where's Tooru?"
"He's still trying to get permission from the clinic to play, you can visit him there if you want. I couldn't go to him since our opponent for today will be here any second"
"Hmm sure" You turn to go back to your coach and ask him if you could see Tooru at the clinic since you were done with warm-ups, he hesitantly agreed as you said your thanks and exited the Gym.
~~~

The path to the clinic wasn't far so you eventually got there, as you entered you saw Tooru laying on the bed but awake. You didn't see the nurse nearby so you walked up to him and sat on the side of the bed. "I thought your ankle was feeling better"

"I am, I just need an ok from my doctor so I could play today. What about you, I thought you also had a match today?"

"Well our game is after the men's so I could wait here for a while"

He pulls you down on the bed with him as you tried to get away from his grip. "Tooru! I'm not even supposed to be here! Get off!" You weakly tried to roll away from the bed but failed as he nuzzles his face into your hair. "My jacket looks good on you" You felt the warmth of his chest radiating on your back as his hands reach out to touch yours. "The men and women  have the same design for the jackets, Tooru"

"Mine just looks better than yours" You snorted as you relaxed in his arms, relishing in the feeling of his arms. A few minutes later after you talked about whatever came up in your mind, you heard the door slide open. You quickly sat upright as you straightened the non-existent folds from your volleyball uniform.

The nurse only smiled and shook her head as she approached Tooru's bed. "Your doctor confirmed that you can play today so you can go to the gymnasium! I think no team is above the other so you better hurry if you want to catch the match" You and Tooru stood up and thanked the nurse as you both ran to go to the gymnasium.

The moment you got there you slowed down to catch your breath, Tooru was behind you as he put his arm around your shoulder. "Why am I the one more concerned about you catching up to the match?"

"Because I trust my team, (Y/n)-chan" You smile at him as he kisses your forehead before heading inside.

The moment you walked in you noticed a lot of things at once, the score being toe to toe, the squealing of some female students when they saw Tooru but also a sneer as his hands were around your shoulder and the men at Aoba Johsai on a time out.

For a second you didn't get the frantic pointing of Ichika and Akari at the opposite team until you locked eye with your brother. After all those days you managed to forget to ask who you were up against for the match that day.

You froze as you already imagined how terrified your younger brother must be. His rivals arm around his older sister's shoulder and the jacket just adds a kick in the gut for him.

You already hear Karasuno, as you remembered was the school your brother goes to, talking about Tooru. You looked away from your brother's horrified face and pulled Tooru's shirt. "Tooru, I-i think I'll go back to my team" He nods and kisses your hand which only added fuel to the already burning glare of your brother. You pull the jacket over your head to hide from the embarrassment you felt.

The moment you sat on the floor beside Ichika and Akari you felt like the wooden floor under you could swallow you up. Ichika and Akari tried to comfort you but you kept the collar of the jacket above your head. You didn't even care who wins or not, right now all you were thinking of was how you were gonna explain to your brother that your dating his rival.

"Kageyama (Y/n)!" You heard your coach shout that resonated through the whole gymnasium. You immediately stood up and walked to where your coach and the rest of your team were.

You immediately hear whispering from Karasuno when your name was the same as one of their first years.

"Ok, Aoba will not take 2 losses against the same school in both volleyball teams so I expect the best from all of you" All of your team nodded as they continued to do some quick drills. "Coach is it ok if I sit this game out? or can I have a few minutes out?" You don't usually sit games out but seeing that both men's team looked like they were going to stay and watch the women's put a lot of pressure on you since it was your brother and your boyfriend watching. "Fine, but I trust you to know when you should go in" You nodded as you walked to where the subs would be staying, your team was surprised to not see you at the main 6 line up since you never turn down the chance to play.

You also took a glance at Tooru who seemed confused about why you weren't playing but you just sighed as you watched the match continue.

The match was 1-0 with surprisingly Karasuno with 1, you saw how your team was struggling to work together since there were so many people that had different techniques. Meanwhile, the current score for the 2nd set was 18 to 20, again with Karasuno leading. You might still be upset about your brother finding out that your 'close' with his rival but one thing you hated more was losing. As the score came to 18-21 you sighed and shook off the upsetting feeling you felt earlier, you waved at your coach to call for a switch as he saw and enthusiastically called to switch the current middle blocker. Your team cheered as they wished you good luck but knowing you, you didn't need luck.

~~~
Tooru finally smiled as he saw you enter the court, he looked at Tobio who seemed to stop glaring at him and finally looked at the match happening in front of him. "Finally, our witch is ready to rule the court" Iwaizumi said as he chuckled. "Aren't you going to wish your girlfriend good luck?" Tooru heard Hanamaki say as he glanced back at you and ignored the burning glare of your sibling.
"(Y/n)-chan!" You look at him with a questioning face as he smiled.
"Hit it till it breaks!" You looked shocked at first but looked back at the opposite team with a slight smile.
~~~

Karasuno's mouths were wide open when the score became 25-23 with Aoba Johsai winning the second set. The guys in Karasuno kept bugging their first year about his relationship with you, he admitted that you were his older sister which earned a few shocked screams from his team.

"Your sister plays better than you" Hinata jested which earned a glare from Tobio. He might still be upset with you for hiding your relationship with Tooru but he couldn't help the feeling of showing you off to his teammates.

"I'm surprised that your sister is dating that Oikawa guy, he seems full of himself" Tobio ignored Tanaka as he focused on the game in front of him.

~~~
The third set was won by your team, as you shook hands with Karasuno your team gave you praises in which you humbly thanked them and returned a compliment.
The first person waiting for you outside the gym was your boyfriend, who greeted you with his usual smile.
"Congrats on turning the tides again"
"It was just a practice match Tooru"
He insisted that you played well which made your blood rush to your cheeks, Iwaizumi also approached you to inform Tooru that they still needed to clean up the gym. "Are you going home (Y/n)-chan?" Tooru asked, he saw that you were quite tired so he didn't want you to stay and wait for them. "I'll walk you to the gate you shouldn't wait for me and Iwaizumi" You nodded as you yawned and took his hand that was holding out to you. As you neared the gate you saw the men's volleyball team of Karasuno behind you, "Tooru you better not say anything stupid to them" You say with a huff, he only laughed and turned to face the said team.
You only sighed as you gripped his hand as a warning that he shouldn't spite the team more. He had a habit of running his mouth off to look intimidating but after that, he looks to Iwaizumi to see if he looked cool.
"Your Kageyama's older sister!" Your attention turned back to the orange-haired boy beside your brother, "Kon'nichiwa, I'm Kageyama (Y/n) but I guess you already know me". They all greeted you and you answered a few questions they had.
After a while, Tooru had to go back to the gym to help clean it up which left you with your brothers' teammates.
"Onēsan why don't we go home together"
"Oh sure..."
That was how you ended up on Karasuno's bus with the men's team. You sat beside your brother with some of his teammates still asking you questions and even Hinata trying to get you to teach him how to spike. It was nice to know how welcoming and supportive your brother's team was, you even got along with their manager Kiyoko. After you arrived at their school you waited outside their gymnasium for your brother.
"Onēsan, we should get going" You nodded as his teammates waved him goodbye. You sensed the tension between the two of you since you saw each other at the gate, you never had a big argument before, you two were like 2 peas in a pod always had the same observations.
"I know you're mad at me" You were the first to break the silence while walking alongside him, the sun was already down when both of you were walking, the wind was cold but the jacket you were wearing prevented to from freezing. "I'm not mad... I'm just surprised" You look at him with furrowed brows as he stared straight on the streets.
"I know that I have no business with who you date but... I never expected you to date him"
You immediately hugged him as he looked shocked at your sudden action. "I thought you would have thrown a fit the moment you even saw me remotely close to him"
"I would have if we were alone"
"Tobio..."
"I may hate him but I can't deny the fact that you look happy around him" You blushed as you let go of him and squished his cheeks. "Don't use this to make me feel more flustered" He tried to get your hands off his face with a playful glare, you only smiled as the uncomfortable atmosphere was finally lifted.
Summary: You are the older sister of Tobio Kageyama, who happens to study at Aoba Johsai Highschool. You and your brother get along well with the shared love for volleyball, but what happens when his arch enemy is your boyfriend.
Pt: 1 2 3 4&5
The weekday's passed by in a blur, the only thing you were focused on for the rest of the week was that your date with Tooru was at the weekend. Akari and Ichika wanted to do a group study for their English assignment so you agreed to help them on Friday night at your home.
 "Tobio I'm having my friend's over, stay away from my room!" Tobio rolled his eyes as he nodded and went to his room, you never knew what secret your friends would spill if they found your brother at your room and they were always so loud everywhere they go. "There are some snacks in the kitchen if you want any" He says before he retreats back to his room "Thanks Tobio you're the best!" you shout at him before you hear your doorbell ring, you run downstairs to open the door as you finally see Akari and Ichika.
 "There's the smart one in our group, I hope you're ready to teach two bird brain this afternoon"
 "What would you guys do without me?"
 "I don't know we'll probably fail and take extra classes without you" You sighed as you lead them to your room after they greeted your mom who also said hi. After you got settled down at your room, you started tutoring both of them about the homework that you all had. They learn quickly due to you explaining it well for them to understand in a pinch.
 Some time has passed as you finally finished the homework that you were given, so now you were just chatting about random stuff about school, volleyball, or any other hobbies that the three of loved doing.
 "Hey, (Y/N)-chan how is your relationship with Oikawa-kun?" Akari asked as Ichika also bounced at the sudden topic brought up. "Oh yeah! aren't you two going out this weekend?" Ichiko said a little bit too loudly which made you cover her mouth before your brother hears. You were afraid this would happen, they always had big mouths when it comes to talking about relationships. "Shh! Bigmouth much? I hadn't told anyone in my family about Tooru!"
 "Ooo First name basis with your senior?"
 "Look! his name on her phone is 'My Love'!" Akari was looking at the screen of your phone which had a message notification from Tooru. You ran to snatch your phone so they couldn't see but unfortunately, they were teaming up to get your phone. Luckily a knock on your door had distracted them enough to let go of off you. "Girls, dinner's ready! (Y/N), tell them to eat before they leave" The three of you immediately bolted to the kitchen where there was a lot of food prepared for everyone.
 "You have a lovely mother (Y/N)-chan, I'll be eating good tonight!" Just then Tobio came down the stairs with his phone in hand. "Oh, Onēsan how was the tutoring," Tobio asks as he put his phone back in his pocket. "Hey! you're that setter everyone talks about in middle school! (Y/N)-chan you didn't tell us he was your brother!"
 "Literally what are you talking about didn't you at least look at his last name" You loved your friends to death but sometimes they could be so forgetful you didn't know how they even pass some of their tests. "He was always referred to as 'King of the Court'! How was I supposed to know!"
 "I don't know Ichika maybe if you took the time to look at his last name you would've seen 'Kageyama' there" Tobio ignored the banter between you and your friends as he sat down at the table followed by the three of you. "Did you finish your homework yet, Tobio?" He froze at the question you asked him with a raised brow, it wasn't that he wasn't smart it's just that he devoted most of his time on volleyball. "What did I tell you about balancing volleyball and your school works? If you don't keep your grades up you can get kicked off the team you know" Tobio looked away as he murmured an 'I'll do it later'
 "Speaking of volleyball" Akari spoke up after she shoved food in her mouth and gave a pleasing hum. "Do you know about Oika-" You quickly covered her mouth as you shoved an onigiri in her face to avoid her from talking.
 "What was that hun?" Your mom asked Akari but you glared at her as she playfully pouted and looked down.
 "Don't worry about her mom, she was probably just talking about... Our homework!" You struggled to make an excuse so you blurted out a horrible alibi, you see Ichika laughing at the corner of your eye as she tried to cover her mouth. "Onēsan it's not nice to shove food in peoples mouth" In all honesty, Tobio wanted to know what Akari was about to say because it'd looked like something you didn't want your family to know and he'd grown curious about the person you were talking too at the phone late at night.
 "Just drop it Tobio continue eating your vegetables," You said rather harshly he quickly shut his mouth as he can see that the topic was making you uncomfortable.
 After you all finished eating Akari and Ichika announced that they should go home, you walked them to the front of your house as you chatted about the upcoming practice match next week. "Well you should practice those spikes for Tuesday we wouldn't wanna lose to them now would we?"
 "Of course not, now shoo I don't want your parents to worry about any of you" you hugged both of them as they started to walk further and further from your house.
 You went back inside straight to your room just as you got a message from Tooru.
image
 That night you and Tooru talked about what you would be doing during your date aside from eating at the cafe, you suggested playing volleyball at the court in the park in which he agreed. Even though it was no fancy dinner or an expensive breakfast, simple dates with Tooru would always be your happiest moments with him. Sometimes you would even teach each other tricks about volleyball or tips on how to improve on different aspects of volleyball.
 ~~~

 It was finally the weekend and you were so excited that you immediately jumped from the bed at 11 am and took a shower, you ate a decent breakfast and chose an outfit that would be fashionable but still be suitable for playing volleyball. After all that you looked at the clock which read 12:55 AM and started to put the necessary items in your bag, you figured Tooru would be the one to bring the ball so you didn't bother getting yours.

 "Where are you going?" You look behind you and see your younger brother with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face. "Well as far as I'm concerned you don't need to know that, but being the nice older sister I am I'll tell you that I'm going out with Akari and Ichika"

 "But you just hang out with them yesterday!"

 You sighed as you let go of the doorknob that would lead you outside your house and turned to face Tobio, "Look I know you worry about me a lot but I'll be fine plus we Kageyama's are strong aren't we? So stop worrying, I'll be back at 6-ish" You hugged your brother as he also returned the gesture, once that was settled with you opened the door and left the house. The cafe was kinda far since it was near your school rather than your house so you took your bike to reach your destination faster.

 Once you got there you put your bike on the area designated for it then you walked inside the cafe, you look at your phone's watch as it read 1:05 pm. Which was kind of the definition for '1-ish'

 "You looking for me cutie?" You turned around and saw Tooru with a bouquet of flowers in hand. You quickly wrapped your arms around him as you enveloped him in a tight hug. "Missed me already? we just saw each other yesterday" He snickered as he also wrapped you up in his arms. "Shut up you know that's different, we actually get a weekend all for ourselves!" You let him go as he gave you the bouquet which was filled with roses, you always received a single flower or two on weekdays when you're in school but it was never as big as this.

 "You really outdid yourself with the flowers today"

 "Only the best for you cutie, now should we take a seat people are starting to stare" You looked around as you indeed saw that people are starting to stare, your cheeks flushed as you found a table and sat down with a smile. "I already got the Milk Bread, and I ordered you a coffee just before I saw you walk in" He always knew what you wanted and it was little things like remembering your pet peeves or remembering how you loved the color of your volleyball uniform that would immediately be locked in his memory. "Just what I needed"

 After eating at the cafe the two of you walked to the nearby park that was surprisingly not filled with a lot of people, which meant you had the volleyball court all to yourself. "So how's your ankle?"

 "Well doesn't hurt as much as it did but I should probably just do sets and not move around too much after I stretch" You nodded as you watch him take off his Turquoise volleyball jacket. "Maybe I'm better at you in serving now that I have an advantage" You stuck your tongue out at him as he squishes your face with both his hands. "Even if you are it's because of those tips I taught you"

 "Hey! I work very hard to improve my skills in volleyball, Thank you very much!" You remove his hands that were at your face and grabbed the ball that was at his foot.

 The day went on as usual as you both practiced volleyball but you advised Tooru to take more breaks than usual, at the end of the day as you saw that the sun was about to set you and him decided to just sit at the bench in the park.

 You laid your head against his shoulder as you watched the sunset, you took in every detail about the moment so it could be engraved in your memory forever. At that moment you have never loved Oikawa Tooru as much as you did now.

 "Hey Tooru"

 "Yeah?"

 "I love you, will you be my boyfriend?"

 He looked at you for a few seconds before bursting out in laughter.

 "Danm it (Y/N)-chan, that was supposed to be me asking you to be my girlfriend"

 "So is that a yes?

 "Umm let me think~"

 "Tooru.."

 "I'm just kidding of course I'll be your boyfriend" He stared at your eyes and cupped your cheeks as he closed the gap between your lips, it was sweet, tender and made your heart melt. Yes, it truly was the happiest day of your life.

 "Now let's take a pic, (Y/N)-chan, I wouldn't want to waste the moment" He took out his phone as put his arms around you and smiled brightly at the camera before he snapped the picture you kissed his cheeks just as the flash met your faces.

Milk Bread

Summary: You are the older sister of Tobio Kageyama, who happens to study at Aoba Johsai Highschool. You and your brother get along well with the shared love for volleyball, but what happens when his arch enemy is your boyfriend.

Part: 1 2 3 4&5

The next few days went on as usual, you usually hung out with Ichika and Akari or if they weren't around it would be with Tooru and Iwaizumi before classes started as well as breaks. After classes, it was straight to training for both the Volleyball clubs.

Tooru would continue giving you small gifts in the morning whether it be flowers, Milk Bread, or chocolates. You would return your appreciation as kisses on his face and a promise to hang out at the cafe where the Milk Bread he loved was made. But you're favorite way to hang out was after both the volleyball clubs were finished and you would play volleyball

"(Y/N)-chan would you like to practice spiking? I'll set for you" Ichika was a talented setter and more often than not her sets make your spikes better and effective. "How could I refuse?" Akari grabbed a ball from the basket and would throw it just above Ichika, Akari was done with her drills so she opted to help the two of you out. "Show us what spells you got under your sleeves" Akari said just as Ichika sets the ball but something felt off about but by the looks of it Ichika meant to set it like that so even though you're timing was a bit early you made a way to spike the ball just as well.

"Eh, what was that for Ichika-chan?"

"Just wanted to see if you still got it" You playfully pouted at her as she pats your back and tells you that you should do more spikes and set. After several spikes and the usual drills, you got tired and decided to call it a day. As you sat down at the bench you heard the gym door open as you see Tooru and Iwaizumi walk in, some of the 1st years flushed as they saw Tooru who already changed out of his Volleyball outfit.

"Tooru, what are you doing here? don't you still have your club?"

"Oh about that" He shows his ankle which was wrapped in a bandage, you also noticed that there was a slight limp in the way he walked to the bench you were on. "I kind of pulled a muscle around my ankle while practicing but it's nothing serious It'll take just a few days to heal" He takes a seat beside you. "He was being reckless (Y/N)-chan" Iwaizumi stated as he stood beside Tooru with his hands in his pockets.

"Baka! What have I told you about taking care of yourself! Look what happens when you ignore what  I tell you!-"

The female volleyball team giggled at how the men's volleyball team captain is being lectured by one of their own. You were standing up as you look Tooru who was sat down on the bench pouting at you, even Iwaizumi snickered at the sight before him. Since Tooru had pulled a muscle the coach asked him to help Oikawa to the clinic but when they came back the club was dismissed early.

"Alright everyone gather around so I can say a few reminders and pointers about the club," The coach said as the rest of the team gather around him. You walked towards the Team's coach but not before throwing a quick glare at Tooru who immediately froze upon eye contact.

"Alright everyone so we managed to set a practice match next week on Tuesday, they aren't a very known team but a match is a match. I expect everyone to practice as usual ok?" The team agreed and was dismissed for the day, Tooru stood up with a slight wince as you walk towards him and Iwaizumi. "I'll just change out of my gym clothes you guys can wait for me at the school gates"  They nodded as Tooru held on Iwaizumi's shoulder for slight help in walking.

"Oh and Tooru" He turned around as you pulled him down by the sides of his face and softly kissed his forehead before resting your forehead against his. "Be careful next time, Ok?" He smiled as he looked into your eyes and kissed your forehead before straightening back up. "I will for you cutie" He walks away with Iwaizumi as Ichika and Akari giggles.

"Hehe you do love him~" Ichika and Akari tease you as you scoff at them. "Get off my back you two" The three of you go and get changed along with the rest of the team.

As the whole team left the gym you said your goodbyes to all of them and hugged Ichika and Akari. You walked to the entrance as you saw Matsukawa wave at you with Tooru and Iwaizumi, you approached them and immediately hooked your arm's around Tooru's arm. "Hi guys how was your training? well aside from your captain getting injured" You slightly slapped his arm as he lets out a small 'ow'.

"Well the usual drills and all those stuff we've been training the 1st years as well" Matsukawa, Iwaizumi, and Tooru filled you in on the new things that happened at their club as you also filled them in on yours.

At some point, you pulled out your phone then scrolled through your contacts to see the messages from your mom when Tooru saw his name on your phone. "Eh? (Y/N)-chan why is my name 'Milk Bread Slave' it should be 'My King' or 'Babe' with a heart!" He quickly snatches your phone from your hands as he goes to his number. "Tooru! give me my phone back!" You tried to reach for it but he holds it up so you couldn't take it back. "There I changed it to something better" He gave you your phone back but instead of his name being 'Milk Bread Slave' it turned into 'My love' with a heart on the end. "If you change it I won't buy you Milk Bread for a month" You pouted at him as you shoved your phone back to your bag. "Fine"

image

Soon you needed to separate ways with the other three guys when the path to your house was in the opposite direction.

"You guys make sure your lousy captain over there gets home safe and doesn't get another injury" You stick your tongue out at Tooru as he only kisses your forehead. "I'll be ok (Y/N) chan, I should be the one telling you to get home safe. Remember to get straight home and text me when you get there safely"

"I will" You waved them goodbye as you ride your bike to the way of your house as you enjoy the sight of the nearly setting sun.

When you got home the food was already ready and everyone was already at the table. "Onēsan, you're late, where have you been?" You placed down your bag on the couch as you greeted your parents and hugged Tobio. "Gomen, I guess I got caught up talking with my friends" It was a white lie since you did get caught up with your friends but one, in particular, made you stay with them more than usual.

Before you sat down for dinner you quickly texted Tooru to tell him that you got home safe.

image

"Who is that?" you jumped at the voice of Tobio who was looking at your phone. "J-just a friend don't worry about it" you quickly hid your phone away before sitting down at the table.

"Do you wanna practice volleyball after we eat"

"Yeah sure anything for my favorite little brother"

"I'm your only brother"

"Shh, take it as a compliment"

After you ate, you and Tobio went to the small space outside your house to practice playing volleyball. "What's the update on the Hinata guy who hit's your sets" Every day the two of you would share about the members of your volleyball teams, you as wing spiker would talk about your setter and how you would practice with your libero for your spikes. "He's good, we always get paired up for spikes and we managed to score a practice match with-"

"Hey, you two! get back inside and go to sleep! it's already late"

~~~ The next day Tooru had messaged you just after you woke up and did your daily stretches.
image
Needless to say, you couldn't wait for the weekends.
Milk Bread
Summary: You are the older sister of Tobio Kageyama, who happens to study at Aoba Johsai Highschool. You and your brother get along well with the shared love for volleyball, but what happens when his arch enemy is your boyfriend.
 Pt: 1 2 3 4&5
It was the start of your second year in Aoba Johsai Highschool. You tried to convince your younger brother, Tobio, to study at the same school as you, but he stuck to this decision to study at Karasuno highschool.
 Volleyball was always something both of you had a passion for, although he gained the title of King of the Court at middle school. You knew that he had great talent as a setter but, his cooperation with his team would weigh them down as no spiker was able to hit his sets properly.
 "Tobio, I should get going you take care at your new school alright?" You hugged him tightly as he gave you the bento box both of you had made early in the morning. He was always the caring type when it comes to you, his sweet big sister who always looked out for him as he would also take care of you.
 "Onēsan I'm not a kid anymore I'll be fine, I'll just finish washing the dishes then I'll get going"
 "Ahh, you'll be trying out for the volleyball team there right? Well do your best I want to see you play next time"
 As you took your bike as for transportation you couldn't help but think back on your first year, all starry-eyed but determined to be the best. That was how you got your name as the Witch of Aoba Johsai, seemingly making the impossible into something possible. A reminder of this was a match on your first year playing as a spiker the score was 15-21 but somehow the moment you got on the court the gap of the score became less and less until finally, Aoba had surpassed the opponents and won the game.
 When you arrived at Aoba you waved at your friends and fellow members of the volleyball club Iwaizumi and Matsukawa, the two had become your close friends after the men's volleyball club watched the female's match that gained you the name the Witch of Aoba Johsai.
 "(Y/N)-chan how was your morning?" Matsukawa and Iwaizumi had pranced to your side as you found a place to put your bike in. "It was pretty good! Came here to annoy me out of my mind again?". Matsukawa snickered as you shook your head with a slight smile. The three of you were now walking inside to find your classes but opted to chat instead.
 "Where's Tooru-senpai?" Oikawa Tooru was the man who was trying to win your heart but unfortunately for him, you weren't someone who could be swayed so easily. Well almost.
 "You're the only the person who calls him by his first name and he doesn't even mind"
 "Maybe it’s because he like me more than you" You stick your tongue out at Iwaizumi as he lightly smacked the top of your head with his notebook.
"He told us he was going to get something and that we should go-ahead"
 Just as Matsukawa answered you, a scream of your names could be heard in the hallway. The three of you turned your heads as you smiled at the owner of the voice. It was Tooru with a paper bag in hand and a smile plastered on his face.
 "Ah, Tooru I can't believe you're late, how are you going to win me over like that?"
 "Eh? I bought you milk bread and that's how you will repay me?"
 "Well, when you put it like that I guess it isn't so bad now give it!"
 "No way! I'll be keeping all of this to myself now!"
 "Tooru, come on im sorry!"
 As you two had started bickering Matsukawa and Iwaizumi sighed and agreed to leave you and Oikawa in the middle of the hallway so they could get to class. "They can be trouble can't they?". Matsukawa nodded as he took a last glance at the two of you.
 ~~~

 The bell rang as you and Tooru finally stopped bickering, Tooru finally gave you milk bread as he gave you a soft kiss on the forehead. "Careful Tooru I might just fall for you"

 "That is the goal (Y/N)-chan" He patted your head again then waved goodbye as he went to his class. Although you hate to admit it Tooru already had a place in your heart but you wanted to keep it a secret from your brother since he would be enraged that his dearest sister is dating his nemesis. You smiled as you held the paper bag containing the Milk Bread that Tooru had gotten you before you entered your classroom.

 After classes ended you bolted to the females' volleyball club where you saw your other friends, Ichika and Akari, were unfortunately, a different class from you. "(Y/N)-chan! long time no see! what were you brewing up in your cauldron recently eh?"

 "I thought she would enter the gym in a broom" Ichika and Akari laughed as they high fived each other at the 'genius' conversation starter that they thought of.

 "Haha very funny guys you're just jealous that I have a name in the prefecture" They playfully glared at you as the team had started to group up when the 3rd years arrived. "Alright everybody I'm glad to see old faces as well as new faces, I'm Sato Yui and I'll be your captain for this year" Yui was a member that everyone in the last school year trusted so it was no surprise that she would be this year's captain.

 You glanced at the 1st years who seem confident and nice with a look of determination in their faces. "This will be a good year!" Everyone looked at you as you only gave them a thumbs up and a smile that the others smiled and agreed too.

 ~~~
"I'm home!"
 "Welcome home!" you took off your shoes near the entrance as you walk in the kitchen where you saw your mother and Tobio making dinner. "How was school?" Tobio asked you as he set down the bowl and plates at the table. "It was good, same old same old you know but the 1st Years in our volleyball club seem to be good this year so I'm excited about that"
 You helped set the table as your family ate, small talks of what happened at school were exchanged and finally, you finished eating. You helped with the dishes before returning to your room as you said your goodnights to your brother and mother.
 As you finished taking a shower and flopped on your bed, you heard a notification from your phone in your hand.
image
You smiled as you continued to text Tooru thought the night, you glanced at the time on your phone as you were surprised to see that it was already midnight.
