Something That I Find Interesting About Oikawa Is That He Would Be So Observant When It Came To You,

Something that I find interesting about Oikawa is that he would be so observant when it came to you, not even a hawk could rival him.

I imagine him to be quite the pest when he's around you - always making some comment, stealing your things and dangling them somewhere where he knows you can't reach, just overall making all the little things in life that much more difficult. Why? Because he's bored and you happen to have the misfortune of being his favorite person ever. That's why!

But Oikawa takes mental notes, sometimes actual ones too. He probably has several notebooks dedicated to you and you wouldn't ever have a clue. He oozes with both natural charisma and childishness, which makes him a double threat. It is very easy for him to shift these two moods especially when the time calls for it. He sees the way you react because your reactions are important to him.

You are important to him.

That's why he makes sure to stay close to you as much as he possibly can, scaring off any potential threat regardless of sex. He may be a bit softer towards the girls who surround him but he always makes sure to let them down, to tell him that he's spoken for.

You just have no idea that it's you he's talking about.

Oikawa is used to success. But he also understands what it feels like to lose. That's why he does not have the courage to come clean to you. He can't help but to feel a little frustrated with you because, well, how dare you? How dare you exist there and be all cute? It's even worse when other people take notice and they actually have the courage to approach you, which just makes him want to knock their teeth out.

Oikawa is a pest. But in his way, that's his love language. He can be sweet, don't get me wrong! But messing with you is just too fun.

Ushijima Wakatoshi:

For the first few minutes, the home is filled with a dead silence. You had managed to lure him into your “bedroom” (aka the room where he kept you locked up tight) and trap him inside, blocking the door with the tallest, heaviest furniture you could manage.

The only audible sounds are you sifting through every drawer within the apartment and you cursing under your breath every time you come up empty.

Where the hell is it?

The prize of your scavenger hunt? The keys to the door. The keys to your freedom. You see, the door Ushijima held you captive behind wasn’t the issue-- it was the sheer number of locks that lined up above and below the knob.

Ushijima was a strong man, but he was also smart. He made a door that not even someone of his intimidating stature could break through.

It was quite effective, too. You couldn’t find the damn key ring that you always heard jingling from your bedroom that signaled his arrival. Every cabinet, drawer, nightstand, anything throughout the apartment was empty of your target.

“What the fuck?” you hiss, slamming yet another cupboard closed. You’d even climbed the countertops to search above the shelves in the kitchen and in the nearby living room. Nothing.

BANG!

The sudden slam makes you squeal in terror.

BANG! BANG!

It’s coming from your room.

Ushijima.

He’s trying to break out.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Even you can see from your viewpoint directly across from the hallway that the door is shivering. The hinges are whining with every slam as your kidnapper rams against the barrier with all the strength in his body.

You don’t make a sound. Your heart is pounding, blood rushing in your ears as you pick through every hiding spot you can think of, hands trembling as you sift through pens, notepads, random things in every office drawer.

“No, no, no,” you choke out, throat tightening at the booms behind you.

Then you hear splinters. With a glance behind your back, you notice the door has been cracked in two.

“NO!” you scream, frantic as ever. Suddenly, the keys no longer matter. You just need to get the hell out of there.

But there’s no windows. Not any that you can fit through. So you charge towards the main door, taking a page out of Ushijima’s book and ramming into it.

“COME ON!” you cry helplessly, pawing at the door when it doesn’t budge. Not even a shiver. You kick against it, fumble with the locks, twist the knob, do anything and pray to God that it works.

“YN.” No. A large hand falls on your shoulder, halting your movements.

“Come on,” you whisper, arms dangling lifelessly at your side. All you can do is stare at your failure. The door is locked, and deep down you know it always will be. Now it will, anyways. Thanks to him.

“YN,” Ushijima repeats, raising his voice just a notch. He doesn’t even sound angry or pissed. For some reason, it sounded like he pitied you.

All you can do is give in. That’s it.

So you turn around and grab two fistfuls of his shirt, slamming your face against his solid chest as you mourn, crying for what could have been, but will never be.

There’s no will to fight when his hand falls into your hair, petting the strands gently while the other palms the small of your back.

“You know I hate seeing you cry.” The rumble of his voice is soothing in a way, and part of you instinctively relaxes in his grip. “Come. I’ll make you a nice dinner to calm down and then we can discuss our new sleeping arrangements, since your bedroom is obviously unusable now.”

This man had taken you from your own home and claimed he loved you. But he was a beast, a six-foot monster of pure muscle. How do you escape that?

Answer: you don’t.

“...Okay.”

Oikawa Tooru:

“YN come on, you’re being ridiculous.”

“It’s very cramped in here. Would you mind letting me out, darling?”

“YN, give up. You’re never leaving me!”

His voice was muffled from the closet where you had managed to trap him, stuffing a chair under the knob to keep him in place.

“Fuck you, Oikawa.”

“Don’t be like that, YN. Just let me out and we can talk about this!”

Rolling your eyes, you continued picking at the locks with bent paper clips. At some point, you had seen this in a TV show somewhere, so surely it worked, right?

Honestly, you had no idea what you were doing, but you quite liked the panic that seemed to grow in Oikawa’s voice every second you fumbled with the lock just a bit louder. The smallest clicks made him whine from across the room.

“YN, please! I love you so much, darling. Just let me out of here and I promise I’ll forget this ever happened. No punishments, I swear.”

Bile crawled up your throat at the words, forcing you to slam your fists against the door in frustration. “Shut the fuck up, Oikawa-”

“Tooru, YN. You know I hate it when you don’t say my name.”

“Oh I am so gonna kill you!” you seethed, rising to your feet and spinning, throwing a hard heel kick against the door.

For the first time in twenty minutes, Oikawa shut his trap. Maybe he had found a way out, or maybe he had taken your threat seriously. To be honest, neither scenario was appealing to you at the moment.

“Y-YN, surely you don’t mean that,” he finally mumbled, sounding crestfallen. “You don’t hate me that much. No, no you don’t. You’re just confused-- you see, you can’t escape because you don’t want to escape.”

“Excuse me?!”

“You don’t want to escape because you love me.” A noise suspiciously akin to that of someone slamming their forehead against a door sounded from Oikawa’s general area. “And I love you too, YN. So just let me out and we can talk about this. You don’t have to be afraid of your feelings for me!”

Oh wow. WOW. This guy was the definition of delusional.

“Oh Tooru,” you sighed, massaging your temples from an oncoming headache. “How are you so blind?” You draw closer to the closet, noting the excited scrambles behind the door as Oikawa audibly hears you approach.

“You see, I fucking hate your guts.”

He chokes on his breath. “N-no. You don’t mean that.” His voice wavers with every syllable.

“I despise you.”

“No.”

“How sad is it that the one you love absolutely loathes you? Does it hurt to know that I will never love you? To know that you’re the bane of my existence?”

“YN don’t be like this.”

“Because Tooru, how could I love someone who is such a failure?”

“STOP IT! SHUT UP AND LET ME OUT!”

It was a rush to torture someone who had taken you from your own family. To hear them wilt under your thumb like a pest.

“Oh I’m sorry Tooru, do you want to be let out? Do you want to escape-”

*click*

Your mind goes blank at the sound. The door.

No. Not that door. This door.

The chair squeals against the wood floor, being pushed by pure will alone. Simple strength couldn’t do that. And when it’s finally opened to the fullest, Oikawa stands in the doorway, head hanging as his hand drops from the knob.

You couldn’t move, feeling frozen in fear like your feet were locked in quicksand. Eyes wide, you track Oikawa’s every move while you plead with your own body to do the same. But you couldn’t.

Did he really just…

Finally, his head straightens up, giving you a chance to see his face.

Stained with tears, streaks trail down his cheeks, but a small smile has formed from his lips. His pupils are dilated, not even squinting at the change of lighting.

“YN… YN, YN, YN. God, I could say your name for days. Now you say mine.” His voice is overall blank, but there’s a small tinge of encouragement in it and a dash of glee in his eyes.

“T-Tooru.” Your meek whisper is enough to please him. In an instant, he’s on the move, approaching you and grabbing your hands, pressing them to his face before moaning at the contact.

“Good girl,” he stares deeply into your eyes, running his lips along the palms of your hands. “Now, it’s almost lunchtime. How about we order in for today?”

The sudden shift in his attitude… shit. You knew he was insane, but this? Was this even real? Had he completely forgotten what you said??

After seeing what he could do with sheer force of will, you didn’t want to poke that bear. No. You had never heard him so frustrated and broken before. And now, suddenly he’s all hunky-dory, acting as if that phase of utter fear hadn’t just happened.

Who the hell was this guy?

“O-okay.”

He smiles at your agreement. Then he pulls you by your hands towards the living room, sitting on the couch before gently tugging you into his lap. His arms are wrapped around your waist, but the grip is like waves on the beach. Every few seconds, it will tighten as his fingernails dig into your hips, then it will recede and he will loosen up a bit before the action repeats itself.

You can feel his hot breath on your neck and his strong thighs underneath you on the couch. The warmth of it all is almost too much as sweat, nervous or heated, gathers at your brow. Your own hands are folded against your lap, not daring to move.

What happened to the strong girl from a few minutes ago who was trying to escape? The one who was willing to spit at him viciously and throw caution to the wind?

The question was completely valid. But that was before you could see him. For a split second, you forgot he was a grown man, completely and utterly capable of hurting not only you but also your family. It felt so safe to be protected by a wall from him.

Until he broke that of course.

“YN…” Oikawa trails off, waiting for your attention.

“Yes?”

“Those words from earlier hurt.” Oh God. “You didn’t mean them, right?”

The silence is deafening as he waits for an answer. At first, you thought he was being patient, then his fingertips began digging into your hips enough to cause bruises.

“No, o-of course not.” His grip doesn’t relent.

“Good. Now tell me you love me.”

This was your fate now. A grown man, no longer the teen who had a childish crush on you in high school, had kidnapped you and you couldn’t escape. Your chest constricted at the thought, and your gaze strays to the door. I was so close.

“YN,” he warns, tone dipping dangerously. Ow, ow, ow.

“I love you, Tooru.”

A giggle slips out of the man beneath you as his forehead drops to your shoulder. “I love you too, darling!”

So close.

Maid for Him (Oikawa x Reader/Slight Yandere)

Maid For Him (Oikawa X Reader/Slight Yandere)

*GIF not mine*

Summary: You were his maid. His lover. His life. He simply couldn’t let that sleazy visiting prince anywhere near you.

A/N: Hey guys. I know it’s been a while, and I’m really sorry. Life has really been kicking my ass lately, and I don’t want to let y’all down, but I just need a little more time between posts. Again, I am really sorry I haven’t been as active. But hey, thank you so much for 700 followers while I was gone! I hope you enjoy this Yandere Oikawa imagine to celebrate!

Word count: 1764

        Everything seemed dustier than usual. The sun shone brightly through the stained glass windows, and fell upon the grimy, priceless tables. Artifacts from all over the world, vases, paintings, weaponry and more, were all covered in the fine particles.

        Oikawa brushed a finger over an especially neglected sword and smirked at the gray filth left on the tip.

        Oh, my little YN, are you neglecting your duties again? I suppose I’ll just have to punish you.

        A snicker left him at the thought, and he continued down the halls to find you, dressed in that cute little maid uniform you wore. He was clothed just the way you liked him; in his riding gear and fresh from the showers, preparing to go to the stables. But he just had to see you first.

        “Where are you, love?” he muttered under his breath, brown orbs darting back and forth through the velvet-lined corridors. An occasional ray of warmth brushed over his form with every confident stride past the windows. It was silent for ages, and the residual scent of this morning’s breakfast still hung in the air. Sweet-berry covered pancakes combined with the freshest maple syrup accepted as a gift from the visiting kingdom.

        It had been almost as delicious as you.

        Oikawa tsked at every empty room he passed, a sneer growing larger and larger on his face. All of them were filled with at least one servant, but not a single one was you.

        “Where the hell are you?” he seethed through gritted teeth.

        His bedroom. Nothing.

        The dining room. Nothing.

        The throne room. Nothing.

        Even the library was vacant of your presence. A nauseating pressure welled up in his throat. You didn’t… leave, did you?

        No. You would never. You loved him too much.

        Just as he loved you.

        So where the hell were you?

        After rubbing his temples, Oikawa shook his head to clear his thoughts. Surely you were somewhere nearby.

        “Please don’t.”

        Like right there.

        Your nervous tone echoed from within a guest room of the castle. He rushed toward the familiarity like a cat after a mouse, leather boots stomping against the floor rapidly.

        “Oh come on, sweetheart. I saw the way you were looking at me this morning.” A slimy, greasy, disgusting voice responded to you. The prince from the neighboring kingdom. Oikawa charged faster to the door, until he was practically sprinting throughout the castle. Arriving at the cracked door, he paused only to peer inside at the sight.

        You, in that horribly revealing uniform, with a feather duster in your hand. Your face was flushed, your eyes were wide, and your body seemed to be trembling with fear. Every few seconds, you shifted your weight from side to side, gripping the bottom of your short, black and white skirt with white knuckles.

        The good-for-nothing bastard who towered over you sniggered at your nervousness. He stood in the center of the room, his arms itching to reach out for you as he slowly backed you closer and closer to his four-poster bed. The so-called prince was trying to make a move on you.

        That would not be tolerated.

        “I was only offering you orange juice,” you stuttered. Dread painted your face, and every word you spoke accompanied a frantic tremble of your delicate lips. Oikawa’s nostrils flared, but he stayed hidden, ready to pounce when the moment called.

        “I know you were offering so much more than that.” The foreign prince stepped closer and stretched out a hand, snagging a strand of your hair and rolling it between his finger tips. You flinched as he did, and cringed at the feeling of his alarming proximity. You weren’t moving, or even breathing, and you looked about ready to faint. The prince, standing a good head taller than you, took this as a go-ahead however.

        His black, curly hair lowered over his blazing eyes, and you clenched your own tightly shut at the feeling of his hot breath falling over your face. The finger twirling your strands stopped, only to drag down the side of your paled cheek.

        “I’ll show you a good time.”

        “Please don’t.” His body drew closer to yours.

        “Just let me-”

        Slam!

        With a ferocious kick to his gut, the prince went flying into his decorative bookshelf, causing the first two rows of novels and other decorations to topple onto his head. If looks could kill, the man would already be six feet under as Oikawa lowered his leg, grinding his jaw and heaving his chest up and down. Running a swift hand through his brown locks, your savior let a relaxed smile fall onto his face at the sight of the prince’s gashed forehead.

        “That’s no way to treat our workers,” the brunet spat, reaching blindly for you while delivering the offender a paralyzing glower. “Don’t ever let me see you around YN again.” When his hand met yours, he snatched your wrist and dragged you out of the room, leading you outside and away from the scene.

        After you tugged on his hand in effort to get him to slow, Oikawa dug his heels into the rich carpet of the halls and swiveled back to you. His endless brown orbs searched you up and down for any signs of disturbance or corruption, and only found tears swimming in your eyes. You bit your bottom lip, but bowed your head respectfully nonetheless.

        “Thank you so much, your majesty. I don’t want to think about what could’ve happened if you hadn’t been there to save me.”

        The prince rolls his eyes and scoffs, tugging you into a bone-crushing hug and forcing your head into his shoulder. “How many times do I have to tell you to drop the stupid titles?” After a long moment, you giggle softly against his skin and wrap your arms around him, relaxing into his hold.

        “Sorry, Tooru,” he felt you grin when he sighed in relief, and the act made him giddy, “I was worried someone would hear.”

        “I don’t care. Maybe I want them to hear.” You pulled back and smacked his chest at the thought, but Oikawa didn’t care. You gave him your signature raised brow and opened your mouth to lecture him about “keeping your relationship under wraps” as per usual, only to be stopped by him pressing a finger to your lips. The feeling of you, no matter how small, almost made him groan in pleasure, but he held back, knowing you both needed to discuss what had happened.

        The playful glow in his eyes darkened into a more serious tone, and one of his hands reached up, brushing your hair out of your face before cupping your red cheek. The other interlocked his fingers with your own, and he ran a thumb along the skin of your knuckles. You had dropped your feather duster a long while ago back in the room, so you were free to press your other hand over the one against your face.

        “Are you okay?” he mumbles tightly, his gaze scanning over your body carefully once more. He doesn’t know what he would do if that man had hurt you. Actually….

        “I’m fine, but you’re about to break my fingers, so could you…” you trailed off and raised his grip into his view, displaying his suffocating grip. Oikawa let go in an instant, and his heart panged at the thought of hurting you. God, what was I thinking? Oikawa grimaced, digging his fingernails into the soft flesh of his palm.

        “I’m so sorry.”

        While blood oozed from his wounds, you smiled gently at him and shook your head, dismissing his apology. “It doesn’t matter,” his chest fluttered at the words, “I’m just glad you were there, Tooru.” He almost whimpered at the name.

        Oikawa’s body shivered in excitement as you drew closer, at last pressing your lips against his in a swift, loving kiss.

        His muscles ached to trap you against him, keep you there for longer than the five seconds you had allowed, but he knew better than that. Anything more that barely-there touches in the halls, and he would frighten you away.

        He couldn’t risk it.

        You pulled away just barely, letting your breaths brush his lips in the most intimate way as you let your eyes close, presumably to relish in the sensation. You felt the sparks of true love just as he did. He just knew it.

        He couldn’t lose you. He won’t lose you.

                                ~~~
        The door to his chambers clicked open, and Oikawa snarled at the interruption. He couldn’t stay mad for too long though. You were passed out with your head on his lap, sleeping contentedly. You were obviously worn out from the day’s events, and what better person to take care of you than the love of your life? The prince simpered at the thought, brushing his hands through your wild locks and leaning his back against his headboard.
        “Your majesty-”
        “Be quiet,” he hissed, hurling both knights a glare. When his gaze returned to you, it filled with adoration as he ran the pad of his index finger down the bridge of your nose faintly. You mewled under your breath and snuggled closer into his lap, still not waking. Oikawa cooed at the sight, and scratched your scalp with the tips of his fingernails. You always loved the feeling in your sleep; it was one of many things he knew about you.
        “Your majesty,” the first knight whispered, quieter this round. His gaze stayed locked on his liege, knowing that if it strayed south even once, the consequences would be dire. “What do you want us to do with the prince?”
        Oikawa’s lips quirk up and his expression softens. Ever so fondly, he strokes your supple cheeks with the back of his hand and leans down to peck your smooth forehead. As he drifts away a few inches from your undisturbed face, he hums serenely, enjoying the content atmosphere of the room.
        “Kill him.”
Yandere Haikyuu! x Black! Fem Reader
1 - 2 - 3
TW//: reader smokes, possible trauma & ptsd, and reader has a speech impediment.
Description:
As you start out college, your aunt asks of you to start attending therapy sessions to alleviate your negative experiences of the past. However, you start to realize that sometimes the past can be inescapable.
A/N: Ahh, first published tumblr chapter. Hope you all enjoy it 🥺
--
0.5k words
IT WAS YOUR FIRST day of going to therapy; your aunt thought it would be a good idea for you to get your feelings out. Although it was a bit of a taboo for someone like you to attend therapy, it was the only way that could help you get out of your shell.
You were the docile, shy type that often kept to herself. Your speech impediment didn’t exactly help your case either. You preferred to spend your free time in your bedroom, sleeping in your comfortable bed. Your aunt hated that, in the few times you actually did go outside other than school, it led to one of the worst experiences of your lifetime.
Aunt Em [1:25 PM]: Please try talking with the therapist today and let me know how it goes, okay? Love you
You [1:25 PM]: alright lyt
You waited your turn in the lobby, fidgeting with the home screen on your phone. "(Y/n)?"
You perked up out of your seat to see the therapist; her door was slightly ajar, and she had a small smile on her face. You returned the smile and followed into her office, shutting the door behind you. She looked to be around her late 30s, had a few visible wrinkles, and wore nude nail polish.
You sat on the couch opposite of her. It was comfy, something you could probably lay down on in future appointments. The older woman clasped her hands together. "So! Tell me what made you want to start attending therapy sessions."
You flinched, forgetting that therapy puts you on the spot. "U--Um, well um, my aunt thought it would be a good idea for me to advocate for my mental health."
"Ah, okay, so your aunt was the one who brought it up. Excellent!"
"Y--Yeah."
"Now I heard that you recently began university, how exciting. What high school did you go to?"
"Aoba J--Johsai."
"Ooh, okay, I heard they have stellar athletic teams. Did you like it there?"
You thought about the question for a bit. Did you like it at Aoba Johsai? Besides the rich, pretentious assholes that were in attendance, it wasn't so bad. Even as a foreigner, you were able to make a small group of friends along the way.
Though your shyness tended to tamper with your ability to make new ones, you avoided most people like the plague, smoking your cigarettes in the bathroom stall while minding your own business.
"(Y/n)?"
A snapshot of that brunette boy and his three other friends haunted your vision. You couldn't stand it.
"...(Y/n)?"
You snapped out of your pondering daze. "O--oh sorry. T--to answer your question, it was alright at Aoba Johsai."
The therapist nodded, writing a few notes down in her notebook. Stutters, often anxious and timid, possibly traumatized? "Mm-kay, well, I think that's about our time for a session today. I'll see you tomorrow (Y/n)."
"T--Thank you," you squeaked, bowing your head in respect. You quickly saw yourself out of the building and called for a cab to take you home.
