Thinking about the clerics of the Ratgrinders
I guess I just had the thought of “What if Lucy was watching everything happen?” And just how she would feel looking at Buddy and his excitement. Lucy watching as Buddy went through (presumably) the same as she did. Buddy being unaware of the depth of Lucy’s tragedy. Being so hopeful and enthusiastic to help people, and Kipperlilly is “brilliant”. And Helio would never steer him the wrong way.
The Ratgrinders didn’t deserve you two, maybe the High 5 Heroes did.
so like…this is 100% why ivy had That Reaction to fig disguised as lucy, right? it wasn’t that she saw through the disguise, she just saw her once dead friend now revived (like the rest of the party had already been) and thought lucy finally chose ankarna (chose them)

it's so fucking funny how quickly the bad kids switch from Battle Mode. less than a minute ago you were burning/suffocating pawns alive in lava but initiative drops and suddenly it's all nooo ankarna you need to forgive people! violence is not the answer! and yet it took them a solid hour of roleplay to be okay with bringing back the rat grinders because they were so pissed lmao
hot take - i don't care if none of the rat grinders get redemption, i just want them to at least be good villains because they've been built up all season as foils but they're actually kind of trash
people are starting to sympathise with the rat grinders now because they ARE the underdogs. they're outmatched by far and even if they're the villains people want to root for an underdog. they're weak because they were given the cheat codes and never learned anything because why would they?

I cannot wait to see the fight between the Bad Kids and the Rat Grinders. The BKs fight so well together and as a team. Apparently the RGs have only been dealing final blows on enemies. They have no idea how to effectively give out bardics, healing, help actions. Thinking about Fig taking out the large groups of low HP enemies because their main damage dealers (Fabian, Gorgug, Riz) can’t target that many enemies a turn. Thinking about Gorgug with the purple worm and Fabian asking if he needed help. Adaine’s portent crit with Fig’s smites
Buddy Dawn makes me the most angry of all the ratgrinders. That passive aggressive derision. Thinking he’s better than everyone else. The perfect parallel of how that was Kristen in freshman year. It’s brutal and that interaction was so tough to watch. I need Kristen to take his worldview apart so badly
Interesting that Ruben didn’t do anything besides give out bardics. Almost like killing rats doesn’t teach you anything and he’s useless in real combat. Excited to see what the other ratgrinders fight like
