so many people are dead and so many of them should’ve kissed and I’m more devastated over one of those facts than the other.

School Spirits season 2 spoilers

Even though im DEVASTATED about Maddie not being with the ghosts anymore i AM holding out hope that she can see them still like xavier sees the hospital ghosts

my reasoning is

1. she was out of her body for SO long so maybe thats why she can see them

2. maybe since no spirit was in her body for an extended period of time (in the last episode) that allows her to see them

3. she developed SUCH a strong bond with the ghosts so maybe thats why she can them

also we dont know if mr. anderson can also see them but i would wager not since it wasnt very long that he was out of his body.

I very much like the idea that dying somewhere gives you the ability to see the ghosts in that location

PLUS i am SO EXCITED to see happy maddie bc yes she was live laugh loving life with the ghosts but she was still struggling bc of everything going on. my girl deserves to enjoy LIFE

yuri being an artsy, asthmatic, stoner who ignored all the ghosts except for an occasional chat w janet for 40 years and only stopped pretending to loop bc he thought a guy was cute is the REALEST thing

To help me get back into writing my big works, what xavier x Simon short fic do you want?

Btw the ghosts would be alive in either option!

I haven't written fanfiction in years but school spirits are making me want to write one where the ghosts are alive and the alive kids are the ghosts, so an reversed au!

Simon would the role of Maddie's place or something like that.

But like the others have different deaths and time periods when they die!

And I do want to add Simon x Xavier (as it is a savier fanfic)

yuri and Quinn are alive as well because I also want Charley x yuri and Rhonda x Quinn, and of course Wally x Maddie!

My idea is that it's the school spirits plot but my own creative with it and to have my favorite ships!

My questions for everyone is

One: what time period do you think Xavier, Nicole and Claire die in? what time would they fit into? I want them different like the original ghosts! (This one is done and figured out!)

Two: how do you want some of their relationships to grow?

Please feel free to ask questions about my fic, it'll help me come up with more plot for it!

Although School Spirits is rated as TV-M, it isn't too graphic or dark in certain aspects (except for the obvious death/murder). It's considered a supernatural teen drama, but can you imagine if there was a darker aspect to the spirits' deaths? the little things from each of their deaths that linger with them in limbo?

On the rare occasions when Wally's quiet, people can hear the sound of bone grinding against bone when he swivels his head.

Sometimes Charley speaks with a rasp, his voice laced with a wheeze like he can't really breathe.

Rhonda will occasionally bleed from her head, the fabric of her hat dented and matted with a dark spot. Don't stand too close, you might see the bruising underneath her turtleneck that eerily looks like a hand.

The smell of smoke, singed hair, and skin linger around Mr. Martin and Janet. There are times when they don't speak much, their throat itchy and tired from coughing due to smoke inhalation. Blink and you might miss the pink rashes and blisters that appear on their skin.

Periodically, Quinn and the band kids have road-rashed band uniforms, their instruments bent/dented, and shards of glass embedded in their skin and clothes.

This one's more lighthearted: The sound and faint feeling of buzzing grow the closer you stand next to Dawn. If given the chance, she can shock the other ghosts by poking them; she giggles when they flinch.

Will revisit when Yuri's death is revealed :(

my man Yuri spent years pretending to loop and in the past few episodes he got a bf, made some friends, and has solved like half the unanswered questions while barely trying

dawn and yuri avoiding mr martin for years but still keeping a nice relationship with janet oh my babies

people can love more than one person, love for one does not negate love for another. charley’s future with yuri doesn’t erase his history with emilio.

When I first watched School Spirits (about a week before season 2 came out) I went on ao3 after I finished and my jaw dropped when I saw less than 100 fics TOTAL. I was so confused because after being in fandoms like JATP and Dead Boy Detectives that have thousands but got cancelled after one season I was like “surely this show with a confirmed second season should have lots of fandom surrounding it!” and THEN I found out that 3/4 of those 95 fics were reader x Wally and I have absolutely nothing against x readers I just don’t read them. I was just so dumbfounded by this and I don’t know why and I needed to break my silence on it. Anyways I need more angsty fics and fics about the ghosts being best friends.

I desperately want to know if any of the ghosts have siblings. I know Janet had a brother, but are Rhonda, Wally, Charley, Dawn, Quinn, and Yuri all only children? Idk what I would do with that information, I just think it’s even sadder if they left a sibling behind 🥲

Okay, but did anyone tell Yuri or Quinn that gay marriage was legalized??? Like Yuri might know if he managed to hear someone talking about it in the band room, but would Quinn know?

For context, anti-sodomy laws were only ruled unconstitutional in 2003, Quinn died in 2004, then gay marriage wasn't legalized until 2015. Obviously Yuri would've been long dead for all of this, but he didn't spend the whole time looping like Quinn did.

YOU'VE been eyeing the kid in the back of your pottery class for a while now. He doesn't say anything. Like at all. As far as you know, no one talks to him except this guy in a blue football jock jacket comes up & rants on & on. The kid still didn't talk. And yet, there was something about him that piqued your interest. Sometimes you feel him look your way, but those are really just rare moments.

You haven't really went up to him. You were an absolute awkward son of a bitch to deal with. But your curiosity was growing more & more by the second. And then suddenly after class on a Friday afternoon, you were carrying yourself over to the kid who was still in fact using the pottery wheel. You clear your throat, causing him to look at you.

A slight glint of recognition reflects in his eyes as he meets your eyes - confusion consuming his face. Were you actually talking to him or was someone else sitting in his seat again & you were just talking to them instead? You awkwardly shift under his gaze. " Uhh.. hi- " You finally say.

The boy blinks, opening his mouth to say something but closes it again before looking back down at his pottery wheel. You start to lose a little hope when he removes his attention on you. " ... Hi. " The boy says calmly - his voice catching you off guard. You didn't think he'd actually SPEAK. I mean, a simple wave & you would've been satisfied.

Holy hell, you were actually getting somewhere with this guy. You compose yourself - taking a deep breath in. " I-I'm [Y/N]. " You say, awkwardly - sticking your hand out towards the boy's. He eyes your hand for a moment - not even sure if he could be able to touch you. His eyes flicker from your hand to your face before giving in & reaching to accept the handshake.

Not surprisingly, his hand phases through - but there was a slight crackle in the air when you felt the slight force of his hand. You although, were absolutely shocked out of your mind. Did this guy's hand just phase through yours??? Was he even a guy??? What the hell was happening?!

" WHAT THE FUCK?! " You exclaimed, a bit high pitched as you took a step back away from the blonde. The boy - whose name you still didn't know - didn't look bothered. Like at all. He just formed his lips into a straight line. You squint your eyes at the boy, leaning a bit towards him. The boy leans back away from you, weirded out by the closeness.

" ... What are you? " You whisper - mostly to yourself. " ... Can you back up? " The boy deadpans, causing you to smile sheepishly & back away - giving him some space. " Sorry- uhh- what are you, exactly? I know for sure you're not human. " You state. The boy sighs. " I mean, it's pretty obvious what I am. I'm a ghost. Y'know, the things you become when you die? " The boy retorts. You fluster a bit at your own stupidity. " Yeah- I-i knew that- " You say, clearing your throat.

The boy smiles just a little, somewhat amused by you. You turn around & grab a stool from one of the tables before dragging it over just a couple of small feet away from where the boy was sitting. You sit down, fiddling your hands as you look to see what the boy was working on.

" So... still haven't gave me your name yet. " You remind. The boy continues his work, opening his mouth to speak before closing his mouth again but then ends up speaking anyway. " Yuri. " He finally says.

" ... Yuri. " You repeat softly, smiling just a bit at this new found information. For some reason, Yuri feels the need to hear you say his name again. You have a nice voice. Calm, careful, & sweet but not too sweet. Just the way he liked it.

" Well, nice to meet you Yuri. " You say, snapping Yuri out of his own thoughts a little. His flicker towards you before nodding a little in acknowledgement - smiling back. " ... Wanna help me with this pot? " Yuri offers awkwardly. You grin a bit. " Really? " Yuri nods a bit. You chuckle just a bit nervously. " Okay then. " You reply.

Yuri gets out of his seat & moves over a bit, motioning you over to him. You both spent a few hours there just talking & making pots together. And then it was time for you to go home. And as you waved goodbye while exiting the pottery class, walking outside the parking lot, putting on your headphones as your favorite song plays while riding your bike home - you thought of two things.

1: Ghosts exists?

And 2: For once in your slow life, you couldn't wait for Monday.

Because you had a new pottery lesson to go to after school.
