Xavier Baxter died in 1996.

he was found by his father after school late at night, Mr Baxter claimed he was there to pick up Xavier late because he was stuck in traffic.

His death was said to be from suicide, as there was no evidence of any violence at the roof he had been up on.

Mr Baxter gave a statement that Xavier had been acting weird and cold.

None of Xavier's classmates knew him well enough to disagree, so the statement wasn't proved wrong if anything it made sense to them.

but what was strange was Xavier had very good grades and his teachers said he was a bright kid even if he was mostly alone and quiet.

Still his death wasn't investigated and left as suicide, only person who didn't agree was a Emilio Figueroa who was a year older then Xavier and was tutoring xavier in Spanish.

Emilio had stormed into the police station and started yelling at Mr Baxter claiming that he did it, that he killed Xavier. no one believed him...

was Mr Baxter innocent? Was it suicide or more? What happened the night Xavier died?

School Spirits Episode 8 Thoughts

This is sooo long and in no particular order but I NEED to talk about this show with someone i’m going feral.

1) okay If you told me last season that Xavier would be one of my favorite characters I would’ve laughed in your face. But the way he just waved at Maddie’s dad at the end and was like “oh yeah btw I met your dead dad” was absolutely king behavior. He’s so dumb and I love him.

2) I am really hoping Wally did not cross over?? He said in season one he didn’t want to go like Dawn and he wanted a chance to say goodbye. I can’t give up the ghosts found family yet.

3) I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS SO DANGEROUS ABOUT THIS SCHOOL. WHY WERE THE LIGHTS RED!??! WHAT IS MR. MARTIN SO AFRAID OF!?!! I love a good mystery and I feel like I have nothing to go off of on this. Please share any theories. Like yes, Mr. Martin, I am and have been wondering why so many people die at this school for two whole seasons! Please tell me!

4) I feel like Simon and Maddie will kinda switch places in season 3? I’m guessing Maddie will be able to Simon, and Simon is stuck in the ghost world (for some reason?) so…

5) I feel like we have escaped the possibility of ahh of the new ghosts betraying the gang, but @/amphibiafanatic on TikTok brought up the point that Quinn is not one of the band kids named in season 1. I was rewatching with a friend yesterday and also thought it was weird, but didn’t think anything of it until they mentioned that Yuri was mentioned in S1 so they obviously had plans for these characters, and why not just make Quinn’s name one of the mentioned kids?

6) I think this is a pretty common idea, but I really don’t think the exit doors lead to the ghosts truly crossing over. If there really is something wrong with this school, these exits doors seem fairly suspicious.

7) The boxes with the clues that were sent to the influences had a note saying there was one final box. My fingers are crossed that it’s a box announcing a season 3? They seem to have been pretty public about how successful this season was, and awesomenessTV seems pretty involved with all the press release and cast posts for them not to renew it?

9) Janet. Oh Janet. I love you so.

10) we’re not gonna talk about the mess I was when Maddie was saying goodbye. I can’t do goodbyes. I’ve never made it through a found family goodbye without sobbing my eyes out. This one was sooo rough for me gang.

Anyways, I really enjoyed the finale although I really wish we wrapped up a little bit more. I know the point of this season was for Maddy to get her body back, which was accomplished, but I feel like I have a lot more questions than I did at the end of season one!

When I first watched School Spirits (about a week before season 2 came out) I went on ao3 after I finished and my jaw dropped when I saw less than 100 fics TOTAL. I was so confused because after being in fandoms like JATP and Dead Boy Detectives that have thousands but got cancelled after one season I was like “surely this show with a confirmed second season should have lots of fandom surrounding it!” and THEN I found out that 3/4 of those 95 fics were reader x Wally and I have absolutely nothing against x readers I just don’t read them. I was just so dumbfounded by this and I don’t know why and I needed to break my silence on it. Anyways I need more angsty fics and fics about the ghosts being best friends.

I’m rewatching S1 of school spirits with a friend and I cannot for the life of me remember…do they ever say who liked that photo on Nicole’s Instagram from Maddie’s phone? Nicole gets the notification that Maddie liked her picture and that sends her to the rooftop place but I am racking my brain and I can’t figure out who it was.

If Maddie is able to go back to her body and has to leave the ghosts the “You’re Gonna Go Far” edits are gonna go so hard.

I need Simon and Nicole to fight so bad. Like things have been tense between them basically since the beginning of the series and they've blown up at each other a few times but I need a full-on, no holding back FIGHT that takes up an entire scene

They moved on SO QUICKLY from Simon accusing Nicole of killing Maddie in s1. Thats not even touching on how he refuses to trust her at every opportunity or the one time he DID try to be honest with her about seeing Maddie's ghost, she completely shut him down. He blew his Northwestern interview because he couldn't go with Maddie, even though the plan was for ALL THREE of them to go to Chicago. And I think that Nicole should have Feelings about how blatantly Simon & Maddie favor each other her, how Simon is the only one who can see Maddie so now it's like the UNIVERSE is telling her that Simon's friendship with Maddie is more important than hers, and I think maybe she should yell at Simon a little bit because of those feelings

I still think it’s wild that Simon’s only problem with Xavier is that he’s just staring like crazy. I mean mans literally unscrewed the lid of a mf salt shaker and proceeded to spill it around playing it off as an accident. How the hell can you pretend it’s an accident when the lid is literally screwed off and why did Sandra or Janet not question it??? I digress.
