Where Every Scroll is a New Adventure
Remember to eat your vegetables!
Don't have any really "before" pictures but this is after a year after really trying to eat clean and hit the weights everyday. Joined World Gym in October of 2011.
Dinner last night 🍅 ham sandwich on sour dough + a garden salad (romaine, cherry tomatoes, onions, celery, sesame seeds and a few cheese curds) with homemade balsamic dressing!
Dressing recipe below:
My favourite recipe is loosely based on this one, but I don’t particularly like grainy mustard, I love garlic, and I like honey.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (it’s honestly fine with normal mustard but Dijon is nicer imo)
1/2 teaspoon honey (sweeten to taste)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
Seal tightly in a container and shake until completely mixed
I think this is so relevant. You are indeed, at least to a significant extent, what you eat. There is so much research to show what a great impact the right foods can have on mood, and how the right nutrition can help stabilize emotional imbalances.

I’ve lost (and gained, and lost, and gained, and lost) a lot of cumulative weight. I’ve been obsessing over my weight and going on poorly informed fad diets since before I hit puberty; in the past 3 years, I’ve weighed 98 pounds and 158 pounds. Right now I’m in the middle, where I’m supposed to be for my height and build. Saying you lost 60 pounds in fun, but it wasn’t achieved in a healthy way and it happened way too fast to be sustainable.
Still, it helped me learn a lot about my body. After a lifetime of dieting, I know in at least the most basic terms what does and doesn’t work for me. None of this information is revolutionary, and it’s all immensely subjective. Every body is different, but through a stupid amount of trial and error, I know a lot about mine!
Some of this information might be helpful, but take it with a grain of salt- if something doesn’t feel right to you, it probably isn’t.

I love trail mix! This mix uses homemade granola so you can avoid the finely processed and sugar-loaded commercial varieties.
I use 3 tablespoons of sweetener in this recipe (honey and maple syrup- and kind of a lot) but feel free to adjust to your tastes/diet. The raisins also add a lot of sweetness so you might want less if you’re planning to include dried fruit!
I took this on my 30km hike and wasn’t hungry for a second 😻
Please do not do this. It tastes horrible.
Listen people if u apply lemon on watermelon it tastes like sugarcane juice.

Soo… Rome, what a place! Except from all the super nice and sweet tourist sightseeing that you can do such as the Colosseum, Vatican City, St. Peter's Square, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, The Sistine Chapel, Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps and much much more, it is always nice to get away from the crowded tourist mass and find your own escapes! We believe in local culture and finding the unshaped pearls of every city and create your own experiences. A lot like "oh what did you do in Rome, this time? Did you see the Colosseum? - No, actually not, but we strolled around in the Testaccio area south from it, and took a food tour…"
Testaccio is a great place to find amazing restaurants, cafés and bars. It's a little neighborhood that introduce you to the city that loves to eat high qualitative, local produced and fresh meals. Cantina & Cucina the perfect place to rest your feet and legs after a long day of walking. There they serve the most easiest but deliciouses dishes, and specially hipster love this place. For vegetarians in Rome are really in heaven, since almost every restaurant has a vegetarian friendly menu, and Cantina & Cucina as well, with super fresh and delicious vegetable. Otherwise a good carbonara is always a great carbonara.
So if you travel to Rome, please visit the Testaccio region and find your own authentic experiences in the local neighborhoods, whereas the real Rome shows itself.

The lagoon city has a long and glorious culinary tradition based on fresh seafood. A writhing, glistening variety of sea creatures swims from the stalls of the Rialto and Chioggia markets into local kitchens. Going with the flow ofla cucina veneta requires a certain spirit of openminded experimentation. Not everybody has eaten granseola (spider crab) before, or garusoli (sea snails) or canoce (mantis shrimps), but Venice is definitely the place to try these marine curios.

As you can see we and Berlin are into the asian food culture. Kimshi Princess is known for their Kimshi, which is a korean dish made with cut cabbage, radish, and scallions and a seasoned paste of red pepper, garlic, ginger, sugar, and fish sauce, salted shrimp, or kelp powder. It is a easy going food to do yourself just chop the vegetables and add some more ingredients and it will get pickled in over some days. But if you are on your traveling journey to experience authentic food and local restaurants, Kimshi Princess is the perfect place to eat! Kimshi Princess is located in Kreuzberg, Skalitzer Strasse 36 / Manteuffelstrasse. Whereas you can explore and experience a lot of local bars and restaurants. The restaurant also serve korean barbecue, as you can see in the pictures, they put the grill on the table and the meat and the belonging vegetables with the korean seasoning is delicious! If you are into that, otherwise you have to try it! The meat can be decided to be beef, pork, chicken, seafood or vegetarian, so it is a place for everyone!
