James Tiberius Kirk appreciation post
The way he places his hands also makes it look like he's about to take of his pants -
This is how pornos start
Something that lives in my head šrent freeš is when Captain Kirk basically yeeted himself horizontally into two other men during a fight.
But I always have a hard time finding it
Op you've meet a genius
I work retail, and yesterday I pulled up a customer's rewards account to see his name listed as "Jim Kirk."
I said, "Cool name."
"Thanks," he said. "Want to see my ID?"
He pulled out a Star Fleet identification card with a picture of Captain Kirk on it.
"My name is Jim Kirk and I'm from Iowa," he told me. "I'm invisible online."
Some fun fan art of the enterprise crew
Men of Tomorrow.
If I had a nickle for every time I had an in the closet gay captain as my favorite character from a tv show named James, I'd have two nickles, which isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice.
My first fanart post that I madeāŗļø Send anyway I could improve.

People Like Us is story about one Sam (Chris Pine), a twenty-something salesman who had to come home for his father's funeral who he hated, and discovered that his father had another family and another daughter (Elizabeth Banks) that he knew nothing about.
Imagine the brattiness of Captain James Kirk from 2009's Star Trek (who Chris Pine also played), put the character in a funeral and family drama, and basically you'll get something exactly like People Like Us. The lead character Sam was something that all of us like to hate: an alpha-type, cocky, over-achiever, money-chasing salesman who would put a bulldozer through a church and the books of law if it fit his needs. Elizabeth Banks' Frankie, meanwhile, was something of a different breed: a single mother struggling to meet her needs and put her life in order.
People Like Us is a simple story about people trying to connect with each other. No gimmicks, no obvious twist-and turns (aside from the core premise); it's just one of those quietly engaging films about people who have no idea why they're doing what they're doing. We get to slowly understand the father and what his family went through his life, as we get to know Sam's mother (Michelle Pfeiffer) and her past, his job, Sam's childhood, and Frankie's life in general. Those details, scattered throughout the movie like a puzzle of life, put layers into the characters in a seemingly obvious family drama. It put a sense of earnestness in an otherwise heavy-handed film.
TL;DRĀ Written and directed by Alex Kurtzman (yes, that Alex Kurtzman. Roberto Orci, his screenwriting partner also wrote in this film.), People Like Us is not a perfect movie, but it's a surprisingly layered one. In all honesty, your enjoyment of this movie might depend on how much you tolerate Chris Pine's Sam (Olivia Wilde is still underused, though), but if you like family drama it's not a bad movie to spend your time with.

Heās probably fantasized about this moment happening over and over again and spends his sleepless nights analyzing how heād accept. He needs more time to choose the appropriate reaction.Ā
Also, L-O-V-E by Nate King Cole started playing from my playlist while I was reading this post and it just makes it all the more funnier.Ā
you can clearly see Jim thinking deeper and deeper as he tries to figure out if this is a proposal or not.
Star Trek: The Original Series, Season 1, Ep 2: Charlie X.Ā
This will NEVER not be my favorite episode. I love it so much. This is my favorite moment from the whole show. My other favorite moment is when Spock tells Kirk that heāll need to act as a father figure to Charlie, which makes him uncomfortable, ESPECIALLY when explaining sex + women to Charlie. I gotta feeling nobody knows sex + women better than Captain Kirk, though.Ā
It looks like heās having the time of his life. Now if only Patrick Swayze were hereā¦
star trek tos fight scenes are a national treasure, usually just badly timed punches and rolling over tables ft kirk and his tiddies but sometimes we get absolute gems like
theyre dancing x

āIf I had a Time Machine Iād stop 9/11ā if I had a Time Machine Iād tell William Shatner he wasnāt fat and even if he had a little bit of chub it doesnāt matter, scripts of episodes that poked fun at his weight would suddenly end up burned and everyone who chastised him would get hit with a water balloon from the rafters. Like I disagree with so many of his takes as a person and I disagree with how heās allegedly talked to people and treated people but like no one treated him nice either.
Okay so maybe yall can explain it to me because Iām still new here
So before I watched Star Trek, there seemed to be this ongoing joke about Captain Kirk being a āfatassā like Family Guy, Epic Rap Battles of History and I think even Robot Chicken (donāt quote me on this) made this joke and I donāt get it. Like is Kirk āfatā by 60s standards or does William Shatner just gain weight as the show goes on because you know, heās fucking human ?
Like I even saw a Reddit post from 2 years ago trying to claim Kirk is āchubbyā and āwearing a girdleā and using these photos as reference and he looks like a regular fucking dude so Iām confused. Like heās not fat and even if he was thatās not a bad thing at all so I donāt get why certain fans have been assholes about this for so fucking long. Like heās fine. He looks like heās average weight. And then thereās claims his shirts just make him ālook fatā like the green shirt, when he literally looks the same.
I donāt know maybe Iām crazy but Kirk looks absolutely fine and even if he was āfatā that shouldnāt be something to riff on, especially now in 2025 but people still do it.
i really love jim kirk so i made a thing to express my feelings
I got a McCoy figure and Iām so happy.
Pictured here is Bones with his tiny boyfriends š§”
are you nerds ready to see TOP SURGERY KIRK??
Omg I can't express how it will help A LOT when drawing him (he's so soft aaaa) thanks for the amazing tutorial, it's a blessing ! šš¼
HOW do you draw Kirk SO WELL??
im flattered! really glad that my intense hyperfixation on him for the past year has yielded good results at least :] i made a quick little guide thing on what i focus on when i want to draw him! well, i hope it makes any sense anyhow
YOU DONāT GET IT
Kirk and Spock will go to hell and back for each other no matter what. They sacrifice so much for each other because they are filled with love for each other. Kirk literally gave up his career, starship, and all else because the needs of Spock outweighed the needs of anyone else. The plan wasnāt to save him, IT WAS TO GIVE SPOCK A PROPER FUNERAL. and Spock was literally told that he couldnāt complete Kolinahr (the ritual to rid all of his emotions) because he was still LONGING and they told him to go and sort it out, SO HE WENT BACK TO KIRK.
BECAUSE FOR THEM, ALL ROADS LEAD TO EACH OTHER.
I'm watching The Final Frontier and Kirk just declared that he could use a shower and then he looks over at Spock and Spock just looks back and says "Yes."šš
