Despite himself not needing much sleep himself, Xiao often usually ends up dragging me to bed. This, aka right now, is one of these examples of being “dragged to bed.”
“You know your mortal body isn’t used to staying up this late. Lay down and rest.” Is what he says, like normal. And like normal, I lay down, but can’t sleep.
“Xiao, you know I have to stay awake until I literally feel like passing out. Either that or ambiences. But either way, I ain’t sleeping. I’m gonna continue playing my games now on my phone, and watch YouTube.” I say, as I turn on my phone, and start watching random YouTube shorts.
It wasn’t long before my phone was snatched away by a certain Adeptus. I shoot a glare at him, which was only returned. “You are only going to delay the fact you are going to rest. It is already midnight.”
“Maybe, I’ll fall asleep if you come and cuddle with me.” I jokingly say. Course, part of me didn’t know what I was saying cause my brain was shutting down for sleep, but it didn’t matter. And well, it seem like it wasn’t that much of a joke to him, since he literally came over, lates down in my bed, and cuddled me.
Oh boy, I definitely won’t be prepared to what I wake up to tomorrow, cause I absolutely fell asleep in seconds, cuddling with him.

Days had started overlapping with blurred faces and rotting emotions that dried on the hill that was her memories. Her feet could only remember one dance, and that was to shuffle around the room of scrolls and books. Her mind was clattered, rearranging the books in pointless positions.
"You've been so mindless, gosh! Take a week off, that should be enough." Her co-worker sighed.
Please don't fire me.
I'm ting my best. I promise.
The sun made its way down the sky as she left, leaving her key with them. Her body was as heavy as broken heart. Her eyes were burdened with bags of dis-ease, yet empty with confusion.
One person was to be forgotten, yet they kept disappearing. No matter how many wishes of her mother's she pushed herself to fix, she was still left forgotten.
She slid the door open, letting her hair down. She glanced at the hairpins, hopelessly rolling them around in her hands. The house smelt of burnt rice, the flowers that grew outside dulled without water. Maybe she could tidy the house.
But she couldn't bring herself to do it. Her body just felt too heavy.
"Jiji? Are you there?" Xiao asked softly, peering his head through.
He saw her, quietly glancing at the window he was perching on. He exhaled in relief, his eyebrows relaxing.
"What's wrong?"
"I wanted to come and personally thank you, but you weren't there."
"Just, my memory has gotten foggy."
Are you beginning to forget me?
"Ah." He stopped.
"Yeah."
His hand clenched, his lips twitching with a frown. His heart choked in his chest.
Summer.
The hot night wafted the area with a starless night, and a lonely moon. The wind brushed his scent onto her. She smiled, despite her chest aching. The emotional agony was sitting at the back of her mind, the dull reality of her eternal life being paused by his presence.
He brushed kissed her forehead, as if to kiss her doubts away.
Of course it could never work.
But, she'd like to pretend. The temporary feeling that grew, only had so much space.
"Please stay, Xiao."
"Call my name, whenever you need me." He looked at her once more, his hand resting on her head softly.
With that, the wind that burst around her left only a hint of him in the room. Once again, she was alone.
Her bed made her hostile. What nightmare was on the menu tonight? Whether it was marble or molded faces, she didn't want to see it. What could she do? Beg?
"Mei?"
"Who else brings you to the beach?" She chuckled.
"This is your favourite moment at the beach, isn't it?"
The sun spiralled into the ocean, the sky tinted with setting grey. The sand was cold, and damp. The small rocks were littered across the vast area. Her face was missing once again, but she could see her expression.
It was smothered.
"You have a good memory." Mei pranced.
"Sometimes,"
Sometimes I can't remember want I want to.
"Sometimes?"
"It feels like a curse."
"How can having a good memory be a curse?"
Li looked felt her eyes burn, as she grabbed Mei's arm, her grip pleading.
"Because whatever I remember never makes me happy." She sniffled.
"It's tiring. I'm forgetting everyone. I don't want to. I don't want to!" Her voice was absolute, the beach dead with her resolve, Mei silent.
She sighed, patting her head.
"How much happiness are you going to sacrifice?"
You don't have to live like this.

Li Jing wished she hadn't taken the route.
She feared for him.
Of course he had lived hundreds of centuries that had built his immunity to wounds, there was nothing wrong with being cautious.
"We'll get to rest soon." She said subconsciously to the two.
Xiao nodded, whilst the Traveller was silent. Who is Mei? They looked to Li Jing, who beamed at them. They looked to the path again.
Li Jing was greeted by a little girl as they finally got to the circular village. The girl tugged on her sleeve.
"Are you staying over again? Everyone missed you. You barely visit after last year's Spring!"
Li Jing chuckled lightly. Her face fell flat, as she beckoned for the two to follow her. The path curved into a lively place, one of yellow hues and humble faces. As they settled in, she couldn't make contact with him.
He remembered; she could feel it in her swollen soul.
"So why did they need you right now? Couldn't they have asked someone else?" He murmured.
Li Jing looked at him for a moment before bursting out with laughter.
"I didn't know you whined." She pinched his cheek, prompting him to scoff.
He buried his head in the nape of her neck, his hands firmly around her waist. She hummed, filling in the last of her scroll. His affection was a plea for her attention. The ink finally finishing. They walked through the back of the village, leaving them to the stars.
His head laid in her lap, she stroked his hair. The moon smiled at the two, willing them to be together.
Except they weren't. The sunset stuck in the sky, unwilling to move for them. She dropped her things in her room, kicking it in so the door could close. The dust stuttered in the air as the door settled in place, leaving the three of them in the open area.
The birds chirped, the crows squawked.
"Make yourselves at home- for now."
"Going somewhere?" Xiao asked gently.
"Mhm. I won't take long."
She didn't have to walk far to find the rounded mound of grass and mold, littered with broken white roses and unfailing snow. Sunrays lulled on the grass, quietly expecting Li Jing.
She kneeled beside the mound, her hands curled up into delicate fists. The snow dampened her dress, as she scraped at the snow to mold a heart. She placed it ontop, and stood.
"I wish I could remember your face."
The path she walked back was one that left her empty, and senseless. She stepped back into the room, unravelling her hair. She placed her hairpins on her table. Li Jing stretched out the scroll, placing a weight on either end.
She loaded the ink.
There was a faint growl, one of pain. She paused, hearing the scraping of wood. Li Jing approached his room, his hoarse breathes filling the room.
A smooth wave of paralysis unclosed around her, hand outreached.
She hummed, like she would always do. She would just have to improvise for the harp that wasn't being played. Her throat grew brittle, as she stood from a distance, waiting for him to show any signs of relaxing.
His shoulders drooped.
A heavy silence filled the room, as they failed to make eye contact.
"I'll leave you alone. Call me if you need anything."

He poured hot water on the herbs, carrying it to her study. His hand hovered over the handle. Either way, he would still find her in her study, her hair like a black curtain over the book. He placed it beside her.
"Oh, thank you."
"How is the book coming?"
"Finding the memories that fit with this book isn't as easy as I thought."
"Maybe you need a break then."
She smiled to herself, closing the book as he sat opposite of her. She glanced into the glass, the hued water letting the petals fall to the bottom.
"...Sorry. I'm sorry for saying that. " She murmured.
Xiao crumpled his face, and turned to the side. What was he to say? I don't have feelings anyway. I don't deserve them.
"You don't need to apologise for that."
Her face grew faint, as she took a sip. As her tongue burned, she realized just how much she want to tell him. She wanted to tell him the truth.

Borrowing town memories was easy. Yet, as she sat in the place where the author once was, she could not remember. In fact, she was beginning to forget. Her eyes dulled, waiting for midnight to strike.
"It must be difficult being a historian. You constantly ignore your life to record others."
Li Jing looked at the Traveller. She smiled gracefully, fixing her posture.
"You could look at it like that. I like to look at it like an escape."
The Traveller sat beside them, resting their hands in their lap.
"I wanted to ask,"
"Who's Mei?"
"I'm not ready to answer that." She faltered, fiddling with her fingers.
"Is that why did you become a historian?"
"That wasn't because of her. I'm just naturally indebted to Liyue."
"Naturally." They thought to themselves.
"You're lucky to have a fate of your own." She chuckled.
The Traveller quipped a brow, to find Li Jing's gaze averted to the sky.

Conversando com uma amiga sobre o tema, ela me deu a ideia de retratar sobre um festival que aconteceu no jogo do Genshin Impact, que é relacionado com o ano novo Tailandês, é costume na Tailândia ter o famoso festival que ocorre todo ano em Chiang Mai, onde o costume é lançar as lanternas no céu e barquinhos luminosos nos rios. O costume tem origem budista e o costume começou no século XIX, onde os budistas do Reino de Sião (antigo nome da Tailândia) lançaram lanternas aos céus, a pedido do rei Rama IV, como uma forma de liberarem o sofrimento que estavam mantendo dentro de si durante o ano anterior, e renascer na vida seguinte com alegria e pureza.
Os personagens principais do evento foram três, mas quis focar especialmente no Xiao porque eu gosto dele e ponto IDONAWOINDAWOINDAW mentira, é porque as imagens dele com o festival são muitas significativas e acho que o festival tem tudo haver com ele mesmo <3
Enfim, como minha amiga que deu a ideia e ela gosta muito dos meus wallpapers, quis dessa vez editar como um wallpaper envolvendo a essa data comemorativa da Tailândia, depois dessa eu e ela prometemos que um dia iremos juntas para ver esse festival porque deve ser a coisa mais linda do mundo.

arguing with xiao is like arguing with a brick wall. your boyfriend, sometimes forgets that you, have a ton of human emotion. so right now, your hands are being thrown in the air every so often for dramatic affect; and he’s standing there, taking it.
you weren’t mad at him for an invalid reason. you actually had a good point as to what upset you so much.
when traveling all together on accident and colliding down at the bottom of the chasm, you and yanfei found a way to connect with xiao and bring him to you. but after figuring out the time-loop, and the true loss of his friend’s life; you found an exit.
yelan and xiao used the said compass to help you all get out of this mess; whilst then xiao had full control of it, and you, yelan and yanfei fought the darkness that swormed.
for some odd reason, this entire small trip of yours, with friends, and boyfriend, he was awfully admiring the thought of sacrifice. and so when the compass was breaking, he teleported all of you to the surface; allowing him to fall alone. in the dark. zhongli had a feeling this would occur, and so luckily he was there to save your boyfriend. but what if..
“xiao, you could’ve died!” your voice on the cusp of a screech, you continued. “what then huh?”
“you were safe. that is all that mattered to me.” he defended, “I am an adeptus, it is my venture to protect liyue and its people.”
“what about being my protector? I don’t care if I’m stuck with you for eternity down there! sacrificing yourself is never the answer xiao!”
“it is when it was the only option for your safety!”
“no it isn’t!”
this argument was pointless. you were getting nowhere. you couldn’t really understand why xiao spoke so much about sacrificing himself earlier in the chasm, because you thought you’d made him a little less miserable. the moment you felt yourself touch the air above, when your feet hit the ground, you were quick to try running back into the chasm. but yelan held you back.
“I’m going to bed.” you mumbled; because after a long and complicated discussion full of yelling, how could you not be tired? in fact, xiao should be resting much more than you. but you weren’t going to push him right now.
you slush yourself into the shared bedroom in the teyvat building, knowing well that the wangshu inn walls were top quality, and still, verr could probably hear you both. you weren’t going to hear the end of it tomorrow.
fluffing your pillow now, you got yourself ready for bed. you couldn’t fight him anymore. like said in the beginning, it was like arguing with a brick wall. not because xiao could care less about you, or your feelings, no. xiao loves you, and for that, he’d do literally anything. but more so because xiao cannot comprehend the way he makes people feel sometimes; how he makes you feel, making poor decisions such as this.
he worries you. you felt your heart pound out of your chest, reliving the moments where you really thought you’d lost the love of your life forever.
as if on cue to the small twinkle of water that melted off the side of your face, your boyfriend wiped the tear from your stained cheek. he felt bad, slightly coming to an understanding on how you felt. I mean, you are his world; what if you were to do the same? what really got to him, was the spoken liquid that laced your beautiful complexion.
“please don’t cry my love.” xiao could feel your discomfort, hurt, fear, causing him to wrap himself around you, enclosing you in his body, as your head measles it’s way into his soft abed chest. still wanting to hit him and fight him, for now, you’d except the comfortable aura that now served the room. “I’m sorry.” xiao’s voice whispered; whilst his chin rests upon your head of hair, comfortably. “though as an adeptus I swore to protect the people of liyue, as your partner I also swore to protect you.”
“I love you.” his hands drabbled along your sides, now resting his head in the crook of your neck; allowing you to swirl your pointer-finger around in circles with strands of the green-blue locks combed through. “I love you.” you replied, still wrapping his hair around your digits, falling asleep in what felt like seconds after; satisfying xiao. and now he, can also rest.
as you predicted, you didn’t hear the end of it when trying to leave wangshu inn discreetly, verr was just waiting for you to try and leave without her catching sight of you.

His face turns slightly, and his molten gaze finds you in the distance as he blows out a puff of smoke. His lips twitch a bit as he catches your stare . He takes a drag again before beckoning you closer with his other hand.
Hesitantly , you approach him , the smell of cigarettes and his musky cologne burn your nostrils as you approach him. " Come closer, pretty thing " he calls out to you . You hesitate and approach him even closer now at his torso .
He just stares at you for a moment before pulling you towards him , practically pressing his hot lips onto yours. You let out a squeak of suprise, allowing him to slip his tongue into you and blow his hot puff into your mouth . His warm fingers trace the bare skin of your arms causing you to shiver in his hold.
He deepens the kiss even more he dominates your own tongue . He pulls away from you, both of you panting . " Mhmmmm.. these lips are way more addicting pretty, " he praises before he smashes his lips onto your once more.

Holding up your hand with the wedding band on it, and telling him how he’s now part of your family convinced him enough.
It was a long journey to fontaine, but you both made it in one piece.
Holding his hand, walking to the location, everyone turned their heads, all attention was now on you and your adepti husband.
waving your free hand and greeting everyone, your other hand occupied by your husbands, everyone turned their heads, excitingly greeting you and calling out your name, hugs were given and received. A bunch of questions where asked until one of your close cousins squealed,
“O M G!! Y/N!! Is this xiao!? YOUR HUSBAND!!?? he’s much shorter then expected !” she screamed out, bouncing on her heels, everyone started swarming, talking about his height, and comparing it to yours. which he absolutely hated, but tried not to burst in front of your loved ones.
You smile, turning to xiao and bending down a bit, squishing and pulling his cheeks, “yes he is!! my wittle’ adorable husband, the best partner I could ever ask for! yes he is!” you babied him, giggling, getting a couple laughs from others.
Xiao’s face was heating up, out of anger, embarrassment, and because you complimented him. He squirms and manages to swat your hands away, “stop that.” he says sternly, “aww your so cute when your embarrassed, aren’t you? cutie cutie” still toying with him, he gives her a small glare that tells you to knock it off or he’ll explode, you finish with the teasing, patting his head.
Turning to your family, finally answering their question; “yes! this is my husband, Xiao.” you hold out your hand with the ring on it and smirk, “officially off limits, hehe”

You wrap your arm around his and peck his forehead, then his cheek, then his lips. “alright, I won’t bug you anymore, cutie.”

you got invited to an interview about your jobs, and your relationship. which you gladly accepted.
You had to drag xiao on to the plane to come. (he doesn’t like interviews, especially about his personal life)
You both agreed not to share too much personal information. wanting to keep it private, just for you and xiao. and maybe some close friends.
“welcome! the ever so famous couple: Xiao and Y/n, how are you this evening?”
“We’re doing good! the flight wasn’t too bad, xiao took a nap so he should be fine for this short interview” you smile, taking xiao’s hand in yours as he huffs and blushes.
“I see! It’s great that the flight went well. Ready for Q&A time?”

since halloween season is coming up (yes I know it’s september but still never to early to celebrate halloween) I was thinking about what costumes some of the genshin characters would wear or you doing couple costumes with them, it’s all right if you can’t do all three of them just some ideas that were in my head!!
you have be trying to convince xiao to do a couple costume with you for a while now and he finally gave in you two are going as jack skeleton and sally.
for childe it’s the other way around childe loves halloween he always did matching costumes with his siblings in snezhnaya so he wanted to do a couple costume with you, you two would go as felix and Sergeant Calhoun don’t ask why I just get those vibes

It would definitely take time to convince xiao to dress up with you for the costume party childe and kaeya are hosting.

You guys dressed up as haku and chihiro; xiao being haku and you dressing as chihiro! you even bought a little dragon haku plush that xiao carries on his shoulder
“Do we really have to do this” he pouts, as you help him with his costume. “yes! we already bought the costumes, so there’s no point in not going anymore, plus, you look super cute in this outfit!” you cheer, patting down his costume making sure it fit him, he blushes and stares at the mirror. “Atleast Im not making you wear the wig..” you giggle. “There’s no way you’d get me to wear that ugly sweaty thing” he crosses his arms but there’s a small upright curve on his lips when he hears you giggle.

Well, sense I couldn’t think of any other studio ghibli couples that represent kaeya; and i just really liked the kaeya + flynn rider idea i kept it.
It was his idea and he had to convince you to wear that long ass mf wig. You refused because it would be heavy and a pain. so you decided to dress up as repunzal after flynn cut her hair in the tower.
Thought you looked sexy in the dress, and liked the idea of wearing a shorter wig because he said, “It would be easier to kiss your neck like this” swat him away like a fly whenever he tries to give you kisses or love bites on your neck.
you couldn’t lie that this was a great idea because damn, kaeya looked so damn fucking good in flynn’s outfit, especially sense he let a little stubble grow on his chin.
You were struggling to tie the ties in the back of the dress, calling to your boyfriend to help you out. “Kaeya, can you tie the back of this dress for me? it’s a pain and i can’t seem to tie it properly” he walks over to you, taking the ribbons in his hands, “of course” He pulled on them and tied them tight. Thought he wouldn’t look any different, so he complied. He was happy he didn’t have to wear a wig for this costume. Also thought you looked stunning in the long wavy pink wig and long dress.
He was sitting down in front of you, sitting patiently as you did small touch ups of make-up for his eye bags, eye shadow and cheek bones. To be honest you didn’t really have to darken his eye bags because there was already some because of lack of sleep, so you just touched up his blue eyes shadow and the blush on his cheeks. Your lips purk up and you out the make up brush down. “All done! you look very pretty, diluc.” you hand him a mirror, blush creeps on his cheeks at your compliment. Honestly a bit surprised when he sees himself in the mirror. “oh..wow, you applied this stuff really well.” he tells you as he carefully studies his Looks. “Mhmm..only the best for my cutie.” you kiss his reddened cheek.

you and xiao were walking out of spencer’s, when you spot a photo booth across from the store in the corner. Hooking your arm around his you start to drag him over towards it.
“Look! xiao, a photo booth!” you smile wide, you haven’t seen one sense you were little; you couldn’t wait to try it out with your boyfriend.
You settle down in the booth, “oo, what kind of pictures should we take?” turning to your boyfriend, but before he would answer the numbers are counting down and your lips are pressed against his, with your hand on his chest and his hand on your cheek.

After a long day of commissions you and xiao are sitting on the Wangshu Inn roof watching the sun set and the moon rise. You were talking about your day and how your commissions went, while xiao listened and took in all the information while looking at the night sky. You couldn’t take your eyes off him, as his hair ruffled in the wind, Looking at his gorgeous critine yellow eyes, the moonlight casting down upon his face..he was just so..beautiful, you thought.
You caught yourself staring at the mark on his forehead, a diamond shaped mark that was purple. You never questioned what it is and where it came from, you just caught glimpses of it when you could. This time you wanted to do more then look, you were curious, was it soft? rough? hard? what did it feel like, you wanted to touch the strange mark on his forehead more then ever.
