Shout out to Kalim for out-sillying the angry at the world crowd with his kindness

Rollo ending up being best friends for life with Kalim. Listen, call me crazy but I feel like if anyone can get through to Rollo it's Kalim. Kalim has so many great qualities, and keep thinking of how heavenly virtues tie in with Kalim and how Rollo is kind of religious-crazy coded. And Rollo would low-key side eye Jamil for betraying someone as genuinely good-hearted like Kalim. And Rollo ends up being Kalim's grumpy ride or die. Can you tell this stays in my head rent free? Oh, I've actually talked about how I think Kalim and Rollo would interact with each other in a hypothetical situation where the casts of GloMasq and Playful Land were swapped! You can read those headcanons here. Even though Idia and Rollo are really strong foils, I think Rollo and Kalim have potential too! They're opposites in so many ways:

Kalim's extroversion vs Rollo's introversion

Not a nefarious bone in Kalim's body, meanwhile Rollo's willing to be so underhanded in order to achieve his goals

Kalim's boundless ability to listen and to forgive vs Rollo's tendency to bottle up his feelings and to blame others while ignoring his own feelings of guilt

Their UMs are also opposites; Kalim has cleansing water that refreshes and rejuvenates others whereas Rollo has flames that literally become stronger the worse he and the people around him feel

They're both big brothers, but Rollo has lost the only one sibling he had while Kalim has like 30-40ish siblings, all of them alive (the irony being that no one's after Rollo's life but a buunch of people would just love to kill the Asim family heir)

Together, I think those two would definitely be like. The Golden Retriever/Sunshine friend and the Black Cat/Grumpy friend dynamic. Granted, it might take Kalim quite some time to break down the fortress Rollo has built around his heart (we've all seen how stubborn that guy is www), but hey, maybe Kalim could eventually get through to him. If anyone can find it in themselves to forgive Rollo, surely it'd be the ONE guy that insisted to everyone else that they listen to what the man complicit in human trafficking has to say (stares at Fellow) 💀

You’re just the worst of the worst.

You and Draconia are attached at the hip, bonding over your shared ancestry and your skills in magic. You’re nowhere near Draconia’s level, but your magic is refined enough to be considered a threat. It’s disgusting, it’s disgraceful, and yet you carry yourself like you’re confident and proud of it.

Rollo hides his face behind his handkerchief, but the way he glares across the room at you cannot be missed.

He knows you know he’s looking. Your eyes have caught his quite a few times during the festivities, and you’ve even had the gall to wink at him. Because of you, he had to swat away the concerned hands of his classmates after choking on his water. He intertwines his fingers after regaining his composure, but his knuckles are white as he tracks your movements across the dance floor.

There's a moment where you're lost in the crowd, masquerade outfit swishing alluringly among the people that could not be any less interesting. Rollo rubs at his temples and shuts his eyes, willing this feeling away.

“Something on my face?” you croon, sliding into the chair beside him with an amused look on your face.

He almost chokes again, jaw clenching as he catches a whiff of your shampoo. Unbelievable. Shameless. How have you charmed him so?

“Your form was dreadful.” he spits, face twisting up in annoyance.

You seem completely unbothered, opting to push out your bottom lip and flutter your lashes at him. You’re not taking him seriously at all.

“Daww, that’s such a shame.” you drawl, turning your eyes back to the dance floor, “If only you were there to teach me how to do it right.”

Something in Rollo seizes, and he jolts up from the table like he’s been burned. His palms slam against the wood as he shoots you a nasty glare, but you couldn’t look more unbothered.

Filthy.

Huffing, he spins on his heel and storms off to a different area of the festivities, just so long as it’s away from you.

If he hears your sugary sweet invitation for a dance, he doesn’t acknowledge it.

Home Idle 1: This is the infamous Night Raven College... Honestly, I would have preferred not to step foot here.

Home Idle 2: Beyond this mirror is the Diasomnia dormitory. That is where that detestable man resides... What a monstrous-looking entrance. Absolutely repulsive!

Home Idle 3: This is a rather dignified academy. In particular, I found the Mirror Chamber to be a quiet, charming, and spectacular room.

Home Idle - Login: So, this is where the evildoers dwell. I shall have to see with my own eyes just how wicked these people can be.

Home Idle - Groovy: I hear they call you Prefect. That is a rather reputable position. Do take care to fulfill your duty to your utmost.

Home Tap 1: It was brought to my attention that Azul-kun manages a small eatery on campus. I do so enjoy cafés. I suppose I could stop by just once.

Home Tap 2: Whilst classes were in session, I could swear I heard a voice coming from an electronic tablet. I realized it was Idia-kun. Does not that laziness seem beyond reproach?

Home Tap 3: Mheh, as expected of a prestigious academy, the quality of these lessons are superb. I find Mozus-sensei's lectures to be especially enlightening.

Home Tap 4: The collection of books here in the library is genuinely substantial. Perhaps I could borrow and take some back with... No, if I were to do that, I would have to come back to return them.

Home Tap 5: ...May I help you? Ah, I see. You were acting quite familiar with me, so I thought perhaps you had mistaken me for someone else.

Home Tap - Groovy: Noble Bell College does not adhere to the concept of separating students into dormitories. But for there to be a Ramshackle dormitory... What a mighty pitiful name.
