Mona

First of all, she’s mostly likely the type not to like public kisses so any kiss in public equals you getting whacked. But at home she definitely wants affection. Troublesome, but nevertheless, you love her.

Forehead kisses go brrrrr, she definitely loves it when you do that, a gentle way of showing your love for her. It leaves her all fluttery inside and she just leans into it because she wants to chase the feeling of safety that you provide for her.

She also finds kisses on the nose adorable!!! Like the way you do it just provides so much affection that she melts inside.

Her favourite are shoulder kisses though. Often as the two of you cuddle before going off to sleep, you, being the big spoon, would always pull her close as the two of you stare at the night sky from your window.

Fischl

Also hates public kisses,says it’s not good for her image, but you know she ends up blushing so hard if you do. She blushes when you kiss her in private, what more in public.

But she wouldn’t mind Eskimo kisses with you! She finds it really intimate, but at the same time it doesn’t involve her getting carried away by your lips so she can fully enjoy your affections uwu but in public uwu

She gets so flustered when you kiss her back, specifically where her tattoos are. It makes her melt inside, knowing that you acknowledge her as both Amy and Fischl, from the way that you kiss her wings, acknowledging Fischl. And when you kiss her eye, now uncovered from her eyepatch, she knows you appreciate her Amy side as well. It’s heartwarming, knowing that someone loves you, and all your different sides.

And in public, the only kiss she’ll allow, is the traditional kiss on her fingers. It’s classic as royalty, and as royalty, she has to follow such standards, no? It’s a running joke between the 2 of you, but the feeling of you being her loyal knight is something you two love to roleplay a lot. Besides, it’s fun to see her struggle in public, no?

She keeps every single them in a small box in a drawer in her room

Always looks forward to them, especially when she's having a bad day

Is elated if you add a small pouch of Mora because archon knows she needs it

Another day in her home, trying to assist the traveller in finding their twin. The stars showed her nothing that she didn't already know, no matter how long she spent gazing through her astrolabe.

Another day Of trying and coming up empty handed. With a sigh, she adjusted her hat. The familiar texture of parchment across her fingers surprised her. She plucked the paper from the rim of her hat, unfolding it with care.

A smile crossed her face as she read it. Her lover's handwriting putting her at ease. He heart fluttered.

Mona, dearest,

I do hope your struggle to gather information regarding the Traveller's missing twin is getting easier. I have full faith in you. You can do this! I know you can!

Their signature at the bottom was dotted with small stars, similar to the ones that adorned her clothing. Making her way to her desk, she retrieves the box and gently places it inside. She skims over a couple of the ones across the top and smiles to herself.

The parlour was as dead as it usually was, as Hu Tao was brainstorming new ways to attract customers. She was bouncing ideas off of her lovely consultant, who was borderline just smiling and nodding at her words.

He was, however, staring on in amusement at the slip of paper sticking out of her hat. Zhongli was well aware of her lovers tendencies, as the notes were plastered all over her office. He was debating on whether or not he should tell her or let her find it on her own.

Ceasing her rambling, she looked over at him for his thoughts when she noticed his expression. Following his gaze to her hat, she reaches up to touch it. With the slip of paper between her fingers, she pulls her had away. Eyes lighting up, she quickly unfolds the note and examines it.

Hu Tao, my love~

I'm coming by later to bring you lunch. I hope work is going well! Don't stress yourself out, okay? I'll see you later. I love you! ❤

Immediately she ran to her office to pin it next to all the others on her wall. And right on cue, her lover entered the building with a basket full of various foods in hand. They gave Zhongli his own dish (probably as a thank you for taking care of Hu Tao) as he greeted them. With a small thank you, he directed them to her office where she stood on a chair, to get a better angle.

At the sight of her lover, she jumped from the chair and embraced them tightly as Zhongli left the two alone. They had much to talk about, and even more to eat.

Immediately puts a smile on her face

Much like Mona she keeps then, but in a clear jar rather than a box

Draws one out and rereads it when she needs a pick-me-up

Uses a lot of them as tabs to mark places in her book

Absolutely gushes about it to Madame Ping

It was around midday when she left her client to gather necessary resources to help with her case. Both she and said client had decided that they would reconvene later in the evening when there was more availability for the both of them. Plus it would give her more time to compile all the necessary information so she would win the case without fail.

She she cracked open her book to reread some legal codices, a neatly folded note fell out from between the pages. Out of curiosity she picked it up and read it carefully.

Yanfei, darling,

I know you have a big case coming up, so I just wrote this to tell you that you're gonna do great! I love you!

P.S. I know you may be late but I'm making your favourite for dinner

Ah yes, the handwriting she'd recognise from anywhere, penned across the paper in a light shade of pink. A smile played at her lips as she folded it back up and placed it back in its rightful place. She would be sure to add it to the collection and properly thank her lover later.

First she had to go pay Granny a little visit.

synopsis. although the stars change, some things remain the same. | requested. ♡

✧ ┊ Gentle winds blew throughout the air as the fire beneath your feet crackled. From time to time you would poke at the hot coals with a long stick... Just to watch as the end caught a small flame for you to put out. This happened quite a few times before you got bored of watching it happen over and over again.

Sitting beside you was a certain astrologist, an expression of great thought written across her face as she pressed at her circle of what seemed to be constellations of some sort. You didn't quite understand what she was so focused on but you didn't really mind. The fact you two could enjoy each other’s company like this was all that really mattered anyway.

"Can't you read the stars above?" You questioned, now leaning back to look up at the clear sky that shimmered above the two of you. From your perspective you could see the wide array of stars showing themselves to the world, twinkling and sparkling as if there was nothing wrong in this world.

"I could, but this way is much more organized and easier for me to use." The black-haired girl replied in a simple manner, not touching too much on the details of what exactly she was up to. You only nodded in reply, your attention to the stars now shifting into curiosity as you glanced over to her.

What exactly was she doing? You wondered to yourself, beginning to slightly lean into the astrologist ever so nonchalantly. From what your eyes could see, it was a mix of what seemed to be sparkling constellations being shifted and changed into whatever she wanted. It wasn't long before you were mesmerized by the colors and sparkles, your eyelids starting to become heavy.

Although she seemed unbothered by the action, Mona eventually stopped what she was. After so long of sitting like this with you, she was beginning to wonder if you were actually interested in what you were doing. "What you are doing?" She questioned, though no response was given afterwards.

After a bit of observation, it didn't take her long to realize you had fallen asleep. With your forehead lazily laying on her shoulder, body awkwardly hunched over, and breathing much heavier than usual, it was generally... Rather easy to tell.

It also didn't take her long to realize just how close you were to her.

Which of course, made her a bit flustered.

Of course, she didn't have the heart to wake you. Why would she when you looked so peaceful? Taking the alternative to keep you where you were, she kept her composure as calm as possible. Ignoring the fact her cheeks were dusted with the faintest shade of pink. Judging the way you slumped over, she also wasn't going to allow you to sleep uncomfortably. With one swift movement, she adjusted your head to lay properly on her shoulder. “Better.” She whispered to herself, content with how much more comfortable you already looked.

She quietly studied every one of your features with a certain feeling of warmth filling her chest. From how you smiled in your sleep to how the fire would flicker across your skin from time to time, she found everything about you admirable no matter what state you were in. Something about you kept her interested, even if it was another story about some slimes you ran into.

Pulling her out of her thoughts, she tensed up a bit when you began to stir from your sleep. Her head quickly snapped to look at the fire in front of you two, acting as if she wasn’t staring at you so lovingly just a moment ago. She remained quiet as she let you adjust your position to a new one she assumed you had found more comfortable. Heaving a light sigh, she could only shake her head at herself for being so flustered.

“Sleep well, Y/N.” She whispered, slowly laying her head on top of yours with a hesitant yet comforting arm around you as she began to continue finishing up tomorrows astrology column. Despite all these days traveling together, things never seemed to change between the two of you.

# Paper Hearts | Mona X Reader

➵ notes: self-indulgent drabble that has been in my drafts for a while;; I haven't written angst in a while, so I hope it's an enjoyable read!

"Being an astrologist such as I, I can see glimpses of the future." With a gentle sigh, Mona traced circular patterns on your palm, humming a familiar tune whenever you wake from your nightmares.

"Really, now?" You asked with intrigue, moving closer to envelop yourself in her warmth and comfort. The vast topic of her abilities was still confusing, for you weren’t blessed with a vision nor a magical ability. Nevertheless, you’ve shown great interest in her works ever since she has decided to teach the basics.

Running your hands through her hair, you’ve always admired how soft it was. “Maybe you can ask the stars how to manage your financial situation.” You teased, nudging her shoulder as Mona feigned an offended gasp.

“Oh hush, you! Astrology shouldn’t be used for minor things like that. Misusing the guidance of the stars can bring great misfortune to its user, and it shouldn’t be taken lightly.” She scolds, then flicking your forehead with her index finger.

“Ouch, that hurts.” You complained, only gaining a giggle as a response.

“I think you deserved it.” Mona teases before running her hands through your hair. It takes a while before she speaks again. "Sometimes, I can see things that'd make you smile, or the numerous ways that can ruin a day, if I truly wished to, of course."

With a yawn, you stretched your arms before slumping over her figure, smiling. "That sounds like a lot of fun." The atmosphere settled into a comfortable silence. Moments such as these were rare since your lover spent most of her time knee-deep in her studies; always searching treatments for ailments and illnesses yet being unable to get the answers that she wanted. You didn’t blame her, though, you know she was only trying her best.

“..Do you see us staying together for a long time, then?”

Mona freezes, turning to look at you as she contemplates the question. She can’t bring herself to answer it, she doesn’t want to destroy that tiny glimmer of hope in you. It was a question she had asked the stars, and time and time again, it had remained unanswered.

She couldn’t.

Instead, Mona interlocked her hands with yours and held tightly, as if she was afraid that you could vanish.

Instead of answering, Mona looked at you with eyes brimming with anguish. Maybe, just maybe, if she doesn't speak of it, then maybe it wouldn't come true. Maybe the universe will be kind enough to spare you from your cruel fate.

It shouldn’t have hurt as much, but it did. You already know what she saw for your future.

“I love you, so much.” She whispered ever so softly, pressing a kiss to your forehead. A promise.

“..I love you too.”

The silence hung heavily in the air, broken only the faint beeping sounds of a heart monitor.

Mona is quite a quiet one. She’d be that kind of girlfriend you would have to buy or do things for her without asking. Because she often hates to ask for things. Especially mora. Though Mona is extremely sweet if you buy her anything or give her more. She would do her best to protect you and would tell you all about astrology. When it comes to talking to astrology she trusts you the most to rant to you about. Because she doesn’t talk to many people, she appreciates it a lot when you listen to her talk about astrology. When it comes to pleasing you, she’ll cling onto you for cuddles. She despises being so bold to have to ask to cuddle but you always like seeing her get red. She’ll lay with her head gently on your chest while you have an arm wrapped around her waist while she falls asleep. Other times, she’ll try to take you out on the best and most perfect dates. So she can appreciate everything you do for her and return the favors. Which is why most of your dates are romantic and usually during a starry night or late evening. Since she knows how much you enjoy the scenery. During the day while you work, she’ll prepare you a lunch for you to take tomorrow and dinner for you to eat. So that you won’t have to worry about cooking or cleaning when you get home.

Fischl is quite the handful. She may be quiet and more to herself, but she does enjoy going on adventures and etc. That’s why you usually come with her since it’s the most you can get out of her. While being with Fischl, she’ll do her best to keep you safe. Meaning she’ll make sure you are protected when you come with her on her commissions. Other times if Fischl has no commissions or ends up sick, she’ll let you do your daily work. And would clean up the house and cook for you. When it comes to dates, Fischl prefers to go at night, because by the time the two of you come home, you can just go straight to bed and cuddle. She would also compliment you time from time, though she’ll blush a bit if you do the same. If Fischl feels unsafe, she’ll cling onto your arm and rest her head on your arm or shoulder. Because she feels that if she is closer to you, she’ll get warmer and feel better.

As for Sucrose, she is a very shy girl and is not the most fond of talking to others. You sometimes even think of how lucky you were to even manage to date her. But you appreciate every second of it. Sucrose is usually busy doing experiments but always comes home at a reasonable time. Since you are usually not home before her, she’ll end up tidying up the place. Cleaning up every spot and then cooking a nice and good healthy meal for you. When it comes to dating, it’s usually spent having Sucrose find things for her experiments. But occasionally during those dates she’ll plant kisses on your neck or ears. When you two cuddle, she prefers it when you play with her ears because it makes her sleep better and easier. She also likes it when you press kisses to fluffy ears as well.

Are you alright? Have you reached your destination? Are you returning? These are the questions that swirl in her head while she thinks about you, when she takes a break, or do something as mundane as eating.

She would definitely get a few days off to spend time with you. While it’s meant to be a way for her to make up for the time that you were gone, it’s also her motivation to stop thinking about you for the nth time and clear all her work for the next few days ASAP

☄️-will keep scry about you. She gets too worried, that every hour or so, she’ll keep checking on you.

She can’t help it, the outside world can be scary, and everyday she worries about whether you’ll come back to her safe and sound.

In the event that she finds you in grave danger, she’ll instantly teleport to your side, or immediately start making her way to where you are. You’re too important to her, she doesn’t want to lose you, her lover.

She will start saving so that when you get back from a long journey, she can treat you to a meal. For once.

☄️-Often at sea, she doesn’t have the time to miss you. She’s busy with her duties as captain of the Crux fleet.

The only time she has to miss you, is when she’s completely drunk, or when she has her own private time. That’s when she starts thinking about you. You can see it in the way her eyes start softening, or how she slowly becomes more silent, as she is pulled to sleep, dreaming of you.

She’ll also be looking for small trinkets to bring back to you. It’s almost subconscious at this point, but it’s a subtle sign to the entire crew that she’s missing you.

When she gets back she’ll be back to normal, but she’ll be more touchy, much to your embarrassment in public. She misses you oh so dearly, after all.

Her hugs are gentle, and make you feel at peace, calming your racing heart and watering eyes.

She'll kiss the top of your head/cheek/wherever she can, and squeeze you for a second. She'll hug you for as long as you need, whether it be five seconds or five hours.

You trudge through the door, head hung low and heart heavy with sorrow from the long, terrible day you had. You sniffle, trying hard not to cry. "Mona, could I have a hug?" You ask, lifting your head and seeing she's already got her arms open. You relax a bit already, walking over and falling into her embrace. "How'd you know?"

"I know everything," She states matter-of-factly, her heart sinking as you bury your face into the crook of her neck. "Well, almost everything... Do you want to talk about it?" She asked, and you shake your head, hugging her tighter.

"No," you mumble, "can we just stay here, like this, for a little longer?" Mona hums, pressing a kiss to your temple.

"Of course, my starlight." She whispers against your temple, before tightening her hug. She rubs small circles into your back, allowing you to cry if you need— it's not healthy to hold in your emotions, Mona let you know this once before, so if you need to cry she hopes you'll allow yourself to do so.

At some point you pull away, sniffling and smiling weakly. "Thank you, Mona." You take her hands and a pink hue dusts her cheeks. "Let's go to bed now," Mona agrees, following you to the bedroom. She makes sure to cuddle you the entire night, and her mind doesn't cease until she's planned out tomorrow— she plans on taking you out on a cute date.

ੈ♡‧➝ FISCHL

Fischl will frown when she notices your saddened mood, and when you ask for a hug? She'll agree instantly (a soft blush on her features as she holds you)!

Her hugs are tight, nearly breath-takingly so! She'll apologize if she notices and loosen her grip, but her hugs are still so tight, and protective, you'll definitely feel safe in her arms!

Fischl isn't sure what happened, and she won't push you to tell her, but if you want to then she'll be there to listen— she knows what it's like when people don't listen, so she's always ready to lend a listening ear!

"Fischl?" Your voice is quiet, nearly inaudible, but she hears and turns around, a giant smile at seeing you however it's quick to fade when she sees your head hanging and a troubled look on your face. "Could you... could you hug me?"

Her eyes widen, a small pink blush taking place on her cheeks. A hug? From her? She takes quick strides to where you are and hugs you tightly, wrapping her arms around you and squeezing warmly. "You seem troubled, but worry for naught, for I, Fischl, Prinzessin der Verurteilung, am but a great listener, for if thou shall need to speak of such troubles, I will lend thou an ear."

"I don't really wanna talk about it right now, is it okay if we just hug a bit longer?" She nods meekly, her grip tightening but you don't mind, it feels warm and safe, and it's not too suffocating this time! You chuckle at the thought of past hugs with Fischl, your worries slowly fading away after hugging her and remembering better times.

She smiles softly at your little laugh, although she doesn't ask what brought it upon you, instead she remains hugging you until you pull away and smile gently at her, although she can still something is troubling you, she can tell it's less so thanks to the affection. "Thank you, Fischl."

"But of course, it shan't do for me to leave you in such a state! Thou hast my fullest attention!" She puts her hand over her heart, an earnest and sincere look in her eyes. She doesn't plan on leaving your side till she knows for a fact that you're back to your usual self.

ੈ♡‧➝ HU TAO

Hu Tao won't notice that you're upset at first, in her usual playful attitude until your voice cracks as you ask for a hug, no longer able to keep up pretending to be fine.

Her hugs are so warm, and she has a hard time letting go once she's started hugging you! She won't let go until she knows you're feeling better, she can't stand someone so close to her feeling like this!

Hu Tao will try and crack jokes to also try and get your mind off of whatever is upsetting you, although how affective they are depends on your sense of humor!

Hu Tao laughed at her own joke, when she stopped, noticing you were no longer by her side. "Huh? Y/n, what are you doing?" She turned around to see you standing there, unable to meet her eyes although she could see tears glistening in yours and she felt a pang of guilt for not noticing earlier. "Ah, is everything okay?"

"Hu Tao... Can you hug m-" You don't even finish your sentence, her arms wrapped around you tightly, she nearly knocking you both over but instead twirling. You sniffle, and if you need to cry, she allows you, not saying a word as you two hug.

She'll begin cooing, pulling away and looking you in the eyes, cupping your cheeks. "What's wrong? Did something happen— should I get the funeral parlor a new customer?" You chuckle, shaking your head and wiping at your eyes.

"No, I just... it's been a long day," You mumble, deciding to tell her later what was upsetting you, knowing if you tell her now you'll only grow more upset and possibly start crying. "Can we go home? I'm a bit tired."

"Of course!" She intertwines her fingers with yours, pressing a cheeky kiss to your hand before heading towards the shared home. She keeps checking on you, and trying to tell jokes; some of them land, others not exactly, but either way, you're happy you've got the jokester with you, to help lighten your mood!

“Mona, we’re lost.” 

“No, we’re not!” 

“I swear we’ve passed this tree three times now.”

Mona glanced up from her hands, where her usual usual constellation chart was  now a makeshift map of Teyvat. You were crossing your arms, more than annoyed at your partner right now. It was her idea to travel across the country for a week to find new star patterns and you had tagged along. For someone so in tune with the sky, Mona had gotten you lost almost immediately. 

“How difficult is it to find our way out of this forest?” Mona questioned, peering down at her map again. 

“Wouldn’t you like to know,” You grumbled. The sun was starting to set and the thought about being lost in the woods in the middle of the night sent a shiver down your spine. 

“Perhaps we should just go back the way we came,” Mona continued, “Do you know which way we came?” 

You shook your head. 

For a while, you dragged your feet behind Mona in silence. She had taken off her hat and swiped a strip of sweat off her forehead. You nearly tripped on an overgrown root and when Mona turned to catch your arm, you pulled it away and glared at her. All you wanted was to be inside your cool house right now. 

Mona said something but you weren’t listening. A bug flew dangerously close to your ear and your feet were beginning to ache from your improper shoes. 

“Listen!” You finally snapped, “Why don’t we split up? We’ll look around and see if anything looks familiar, okay?” 

Mona nodded without a word and you took off in the opposite direction from her. It was only five minutes in when you deeply regretted your decision to split up. Every tree looked the same and it felt like you were stuck in the middle of tall, wooden walls. 

You finally took a break to sit down. Your back slid against the trunk of a thick tree and you let out a sigh of relief. The feeling only lasted for a moment, though, before your mind began to wander again. Darkness was approaching quickly. What was hiding in these woods? 

It felt like the air was growing thick around you and without realizing, your breathing quickened. 

“Mona...” The name tumbled from your lips quietly and when you remembered you were in a forest, you yelled louder. “Mona!”

When you got no response, you looked down at your lap and accepted your fate. Hot tears started to fill your eyes and you pulled your knees to your chest. If you hadn’t gotten annoyed and ran off, none of this would be happening. 

You didn’t even see Mona when the woman came hurdling towards you. “Y/N!” She cried out, thinking you were hurt at you. When she saw your quivering form, she immediately bent down. 

“Mona...” You whispered again, finally looking up and meeting her eyes. 

“Just breathe,” She said quietly, “We will get out of here.” 

She knows how to handle your constant panic attacks. She’s done it so many times now but it doesn’t make it any easier to look at you in that state. It hurts her to see you hurting. 

Mona cradles your face in her hands, trying to peer into your eyes and analyze your situation. After a moment, your breathing begins to even out and Mona sighs. She’s rubbing your shoulder comfortingly and sits back on her feet, giving you some space. 

When she’s sure you’ve calmed down, Mona helps you onto your feet. “We can follow the North Star back to Mondstadt,” She says, pointing a finger at a bright star in the sky, “Once we see Orion, we’re home.” 

You nod and trail behind Mona. You feel bad still and offer to hold her hat for her. Mona seems to notice and frowns, looking over her shoulder. “I’m sorry, darling,” She says quietly, “I’ll make it up to you.” 

“You owe me a Sweet Madam.” 

Mona hesitates at the thought of spending mora she doesn’t have but nods anyways, “Anything for you.”
