there’s fascination on both sides, right from the beginning.

he loves that you’re adventurous and open to go on midnight escapades with the other boys.

you both drink butterbeers, as you two would talk about the last quidditch game and he would make fun about how gryffindor kicked ravenclaw's ass and you would laugh and find yourself smiling throughout the whole date.
towards the end he shows you the start of the design of the marauders map and asks for your opinion on it.

the rest is a slow realization by you both that that what you two have is something bigger and deeper than you could have ever imagined.

My Sirius Black Headcanons:
talked to the moon while in azkaban bc he missed remus
actually a huge softie
tough exterior but super sensitive on in inside
at one point the other marauders found out that he could speak french almost fluently and the one who loved it the most was remus
the first time james told him that he loves him and that he was like his brother, he cried bc no one had ever told him that they loved him before
gave remus a notebook, but only so he can read it when remus is asleep
while in azkaban, he would also transform into a dog every full moon. he would lie down and stare at the moon, hoping remus is okay and that makes it safely through the night
biggest drama queen hogwarts has ever seen
sleeps in remus' sweaters
wears a leather jacket instead of his robes and doesn't understand why mcgonagall tells him to “take that thing off”
always likes to hug everyone and his love language is physical contact
would blast muggle music when he was at 12 grimmauld place for the holidays just to piss off his blood prejudiced family
after graduating hogwarts, he finds out about muggle motorcycles and never uses floo again
black suits are his thing, but only when he isn’t wearing his leather jacket or his gryffindor robes
biggest heart. if he cares and loves you, he cares and loves very hard and deeply. when he says, he got you, he got you. literally for anything
My Remus Lupin Headcanons:
loves classic literature
always takes a book with him wherever he goes
a lot more sensitive than he lets on
sticks little notes into his books
and they’re filled with wonderful, witty metaphors explaining his thinking and also fabulous insights, not just about the stories themselves, but also the nature of reading and writing
black tea fanatic
has a “secret” diary and writes every moment he has with sirius in it bc he wants to remember all of it. first date, first surprise, first trip together, first anniversary etc. he writes down all of it and doesn’t miss any parts
the quietest marauder, but he’s also the one with the quickest, wittiest remarks and comebacks
muggle books. so many of them. in drawers, underneath his bed. he loves the way muggles describe everything with so much beauty and depth
favorite holiday is christmas and he’s the best at giving gifts bc really listens and takes into consideration what would make the ones he loves smile
issues with anxiety and depression
soft spot for lily (platonic soulmates)
makes all his bookmarks by himself and each one is individual
sirius going to azkaban, the “betrayal” of james and lily was soul shattering for him. he spents months remembering everything sirius said to him and wondered if it all been an act. the hugs, the compassion, the kisses and the love
libraries and bookstores are his safe haven and bring him comfort
In every fanfic I read Remus is either the hungriest mf who will eat anything or the dude that James, the mother hen, has to force feed. I love both.
James: Are you drinking enough water?
Remus: Sometimes my tears get in my mouth I guess.

Remus: Oh don’t worry about that, my tears are VERY salty
