Though the extent of Diluc’s strength is unknown to the public, it doesn’t mean that he isn’t deemed the most intimidating man in Mondstadt, second only to Lisa on collection day. His wealth and status already scares off enough people, and his prickly attitude is the cherry on top. No one would dare belittle him, and even Kaeya, who seems to have made it his life’s mission to annoy his brother wherever they may meet, hasn’t tried what you just did.

I headcanon that Kaeya’s love language is quality time because he’s often busy with work as the Cavalry Captain but he’ll set aside some time for you :)

Kaeya also tends to get even more flirty with you than with others.

She’ll let you get away with a little more than others!

Lisa knows that she should act the same with you as with all the others who have overdue books but you’re just too cute! She can’t help but cut you a little bit of slack!

Only a day or two overdue tho, not too much, she still needs those books back.

Yes, everyone's dark knight in shining armor. Is known as "Master Diluc" and "Darknight_Hero" but his username is "Ragnvindr" because darknight hero sounds like a 12 year old roblox name.

Holding over 6 mil subs on both Youtube and Twitch — Diluc's got the heart of his subscribers and followers.

His channel mainly focuses on teaching his viewers mix drinks and gaming — which is everyone's favorite.

Even though he's a stoic and a calm man, he cares for everyone — forcing his viewers to sleep when he streamed too late or his streams is on a different time because ya know, time zones.

His gaming streams are really rare, sometimes playing games that his brother recommended to him but it's PRETTY RARE.

Get's really flustered when someone donated an edit of him — and his brother uses that against him.

One of his fan requested him to say the audio "Oh no! Our table, it's broken!" And he did that with no emotion.

albedo.

ALBEDO wears a simple white shirt paired with a beige vest which compliments his hair and brings out the icy colour of his eyes, which fill with warmth upon seeing you in your stunning outfit. when you arrive at the venue, he's the date who gets you drinks and makes sure you're comfortable at all times. he takes you dancing, mentioning seriously that he's been looking forward to this and practicing ever since you became his lab partner in chemistry. his gaze meets yours, and suddenly confidence rushes through your veins and leads you to press a gentle kiss against his soft lips. the look of pleasant surprise on his expression makes your later embarrassment entirely worth it.

childe.

CHILDE wasn't even meant to be your date, yet here he is twirling you in the center of the room. as he pulls you into a grand dip, his breath caresses your ear when he murmurs, "they don't know what they're missing." rewind to an hour ago, when you saw your prom date kissing some other girl and almost burst into tears. thankfully, CHILDE, your childhood best friend who's stuck with you all the way into high school was there to comfort you, and he reassured you that your prom night will still be incredibly memorable. for the rest of the night, the two of you shared inside jokes, danced, chatted, and overall had the time of your lives. and if the night ended with you leaving a fleeting kiss on his cheek, maybe it just meant your prom night was a total success, with your formerly unnoticed feelings for CHILDE finally coming to light.

diluc.

DILUC is ready to go all-out for your prom night, he's spent weeks preparing himself to ask you, and when you agreed to be his date he was over the moon. with an endless supply of cash at his disposal, he had nothing to worry about - or so he thought. somehow, he seemed to have taken a leaf out of your junior bennett's book, as every possible thing that could have gone wrong, went wrong. the limousine he rented had a flat tire, wine stained his suit thanks to a clumsy drunk venti, the flowers in the bouquet he brought for you had wilted from the heat... the list went on and on. DILUC was about to give up and declare that the universe simply despised him when you burst into laughter. pulling him closer with his crimson tie that matched his hair, you nuzzle against his cheek, "having fun with you is more important than any of these gifts, silly."

eula.

EULA is dressed stunningly, and even that's the understatement of the century. with the lights flashing and the beat thumping through your blood, you can hardly form the words to invite her to dance after seeing her in an elegant midnight dress which hugs her figure perfectly. however, she seems to have let loose tonight after perhaps one too many drinks, as she smiles and accepts your invitation with only one proclamation of vengeance. but when you intertwine your fingers with her, leading her around the room in a peculiar fusion between a classic waltz and a modern dance, you swear you see pink dusting EULA's cheeks, a fact you're sure is mirrored on yours.

kazuha.

prom night with KAZUHA is barely spent in the large hall the school rented for your grade. after a few minutes wasted dawdling around the drinks table together, he grabs your hand and leads you out into a city with an enigmatic smile. with his hand in yours, you're sure you can conquer anything, and you'd follow him to the ends of the earth, even if it's just for tonight. this ends up with the wildest night you'll possibly ever have, from screaming offkey in karaoke rooms, jumping in puddles with neon lights reflected in their surfaces, reels of photos with silly faces from the two of you, KAZUHA almost getting into a bar fight at 2a.m. to 'defend your honour', lipstick stains on his neck and bruises from harsh kisses on yours. no matter what, at least you know tonight is unforgettable.

kaeya.

KAEYA spends at least a quarter of the time whispering compliments in a sultry tone, his hands roaming down your torso and clasping around your waist in a tight embrace. he can barely wrap his head around how someone as amazing as you agreed to be his prom date, and he'll be damned if he doesn't make the most of it. dressed in matching outfits, the two of you are unquestionably the hottest couple in the room as you sway on the dance floor. KAEYA's eyes never leave yours, though they occasionally dart down to your lips as if he's tempted to be reckless and close the gap between you both. surprisingly, you're the one who grows tired of this little tête-à-tête first, and you smash your lips against his, hands tugging on his cobalt hair. when he pulls apart, he's breathless, but he leans his forehead against yours with an overjoyed smile before stealing your breath once more.

xiao.

XIAO is incredibly awkward in the crowded room, and it's after two minutes of total silence, that he gains the confidence to pull you outside into the corridor. here, the surroundings are peaceful and quiet, not to mention secluded, as no one else deigns to exit the room. the privacy of the room prompts you to start a game of truth or dare, which starts wholesome in a slow dance around the area, but somehow ends up with XIAO shirtless, his white dress shirt discarded to the floor. no longer able to focus on the game, your eyes rove over the green tattoo snaking around his arms, and the tensed muscles of his toned chest. thankfully, the two of you lean forward at the same time, meeting in a wonderfully heated kiss that leaves sparks flying between both of you, your hands gripping onto his shoulders tightly as if you're scared he'll disappear. maybe XIAO fears the same of you, for he keeps one arm securely around your waist and the other tangled in your hair as he tastes your lips once more, and he swears there's nothing sweeter in the world.

yoimiya.

YOIMIYA asked you out to prom in a marvellous display of fireworks which illuminated the night sky outside your home, though nothing could compare to the brightness of her smile as she awaited your reply. after a showcase like that, who could say no? and right now, as you gaze at your date, you think to yourself that she actually looks like a firework herself, as her dress is decorated in blazing pops of vibrant colours - it suits her to a t. when YOIMIYA turns to you with an enthusiastic beam, querying what you'd like to do first, you find yourself mimicking her expression as a smile curves your lips too, "whatever you like, darling."

𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐔𝐂, despite his stoic and grumpy disposition, is quite affected by your lack of attention to him. He knows it's immature, but he wants you to smother him with your love. Diluc's been touch-starved for so long, and he's practically gotten addicted to your affection at this point.

So he'll do what he does bestーstare holes into your soul until you look at him. By the time you do, you nearly jump out of your skin. Diluc looks ready to commit homicide at a moment's notice.

When you finally give him a nice kiss on the cheek and hug him close, it's hard to tell the difference, but you can see the happy sparkles in his eyes. There's no visible smile on his face, but the way his eyes light up is enough to give away how happy he feels.

𝐙𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐈 may seem like he's not affected by your sudden lack of affection, but it later clicks in his head that you haven't given him your daily torrent of kisses. In fact, you haven't given him that much of your attention at all.

He surprises you when he suddenly just hugs you from behind, his arms practically swallowing your frame. The thing is, he refuses to let go, breathing in your scent, and let out content sighs, his deep voice slipping out on occasion with each breath. It's his way of being clingy and mopey.

You finally sit on his lap while you pepper his face with kisses, and tell him how handsome he is and how smart he is, and endless praises fall from your mouth, lovingly baby-talking him, and Zhongli eagerly eats it up with a content smile.

𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐅 has been touch starved for so long, and once he got a taste of your affection, he became addicted, wanting more of your kisses, but being too shy to ask for even a simple cheek kiss. So it quite obviously affects him if you haven't paid him any attention.

He'll stare at you, not breaking his gaze for anything, and won't stop until you turn to him. When you're walking about, he'll come from behind you and embrace you, tightly. He'll stay quiet for several moments, basking in your presence to fill up his attention gauge. When he does eventually speak, he softly asks you if he hurt you in any way, and you have to reassure him that he didn't anything wrong.

His stoic face, similar to Diluc, doesn't give away his feelings, however, there is a small smile upon his lips as you pepper his face with kisses while playing with his hair and letting out the occasional praise of how cute he is, of how handsome your Dainy is, and so on. He'll refuse to let you go for some time after that.

𝐊𝐀𝐄𝐘𝐀 is a stinky and cunning bastard, he'll often talk, with you right there, about how mean and neglecting his s/o is, not giving him kisses or hugs, leaving him all alone and brokenhearted. You're so close to smacking him for being such a stinky smooth-talker.

He can and will blow hot air onto your ear, and pull away with a smug smirk as if he didn't just fluster the hell out of you. He'll continue this behavior, along with poking and prodding at you like it's nothing. Hell, Kaeya will even do the ' I'm not touching you ' just to see your reactions.

When you crack and eventually hold him close, Kaeya will have a very smug smirk as he hugs you back while ruffling your head. Don't try him, he'll just turn the tables on you. He knows damn well what he's doing after all.

𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐄 is quite the touchy and handsy young man, always having his hands on you, not caring who is watching. He loves having his hands all over you and is constantly giving you kisses as well. So he doesn't take it too well when you stop paying attention to him.

He can and he will drape himself on you, whining about how cruel and heartless you are, and clings onto you. He rubs his cheek against the top of your head as he squishes you close to him. Childe is acting likeーwell, a child.

When you get tired of his whiny ass, he will refuse to let you go, demanding payment for making him go through that hell. You deadpan at his demands, but go along with it as you ruffle his hair and press a kiss on his nose, while he eagerly smiles and soaks up the attention.

𝐓𝐎𝐇𝐌𝐀, similar to Childe, is also quite the touchy and physically affectionate man, loving the feeling of your skin against his hands. He loves holding your hand as well, as it lets him keep you close to him. Tohma also loves giving and receiving kisses as well, so you know that he's going to act offended should you not pay attention to him.

Tohma will act like a damn widow, fake sobbing and whining about how his s/o isn't giving him the love he deserves, and how they've neglected him so much. If you don't want the entirety of Inazuma to hear his whines, then you'd better drag his ass back inside. Even then good luck, since he'll continue to be a drama queen about not getting your attention.

You finally had enough of his whiny ass and kissed him, hard. Tohma was frozen for a very long time, even after you've pulled away. Then it slowly clicks in his head, and he starts getting redder and redder and hides his face in his hands. He refuses to look in your eyes and ends up being the flustered one instead.

𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐇𝐄 is such a brat about your affections; he'll hiss at you to quit it and swat you away, but later attempt to cling to you as you're busy doing your business. He may act like a brat but he's your brat, and he's the only one who gets your kisses. So he's pissed when you stop paying attention to him.

He'll give you the death stare the entire time you're not paying attention to him, and you're just deadpanning while he burns holes into your very soul. Archons forbid you to pay attention to anyone elseーhe's practically seething. Scara will march right over, and yank your hand and slap it onto his head.

You're pretty irritated because of how moody Scara is, but you just go along with it and begin to rub his head. His once irritated face has now turned into one of soft happinessーit's almost unnerving. But he's like a cute kitty, so you'll let him get away with itーthis time.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒 𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐒𝐄𝐓

𝐀𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 is such a sweetheart that melts under your touch and kisses, and he lives for it. He also loves returning these affections as well, wanting you to know how much he loves you as well. But you really must not know how much he craves your affection because if you stop your affections, he gets antsy.

Aether is understanding if you're not in an affectionate moodーwork does take a toll on people so it's not far-fetched that you haven't kissed him in a while. But he starts to overthink, concerned if he did something wrong that upset you, and it starts to echo around his mind. So he begins to become more and more worried and has the saddest face everーlike a sad puppy.

You feel so bad that your lack of attention and affection hurt Aether in this way, so you spend a nice majority of time reassuring him and pressing comforting kisses all over his face. He's such a kind baby.

𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐎 isn't as physically affectionate or just affectionate in general as some would like, but you don't mind. You like giving him a kiss before he's off to his lab, and another to his cheek when you come to visit. He hums whenever you do so, as it feels nice and he appreciates the gesture.

At first, Albedo isn't all too bothered without the presence of your attention and affections. He does have the habit of staying up in his lab for extended periods of time after all. But if it continues, even with him being physically present, then he gets a bit salty. Not in a rude way, but more so that he just wants your attention after all that harsh lab work, and you're not sparing him a glance.

He's pretty blunt about it too, but even you don't fail to notice to subtle hurt look in his eyes. He's satisfied with your frantic answer that you didn't mean anything by it, but he won't leave until he gets your attention. You award him with a sweet kiss that lasts a few good seconds then pull away and smile.

𝐗𝐈𝐀𝐎 isn't all that familiar with affection, especially that of the physical kind. Particularly the hugs and kisses that you've introduced him to. Of course, you make sure that you're not pushing the yaksha beyond his limits and gauging how comfortable he is. He doesn't say it often, but he enjoys the gentle brush of your fingers against his cheek as you kiss the tip of his nose.

At first, Xiao just thinks that your lack of attention is just due to you being a troublesome human and seems to brush it off. But the longer he goes without your affection or attention, the more his thoughts begin to blame him. Xiao begins to wonder if he said something particularly harsh that hurt your feelings and begins to think that it's all his fault that this happened.

When you noticeーno, see how down Xiao has become, you worry that his karmic debt has become too unbearable today, so you begin to worry and fuss over him. When he finally tells you that it isn't his karmic debt, but rather, he thinks that he's pushed you away because you haven't paid him any mind. You blinkーonce, twice, before hurriedly reassuring him that it isn't his fault before you hug him close and kiss his forehead.

Xiao's pretty cute when he pouts like thatーcomplete with his blushing too.

𝐊𝐀𝐙𝐔𝐇𝐀 is such a sweet and kindhearted man, quietly accepting your physical affections with a soft blush adorning his cheeks. If you didn't know any better, you'd think that he'd almost purr, like a content cat. He rests his head on your chest as you play with his hair and whenever he wants to be embraced.

The ronin isn't visibly upset by the lack of your attention, as he keeps his usually emotionless expression on. But to those who know him best, they can see that after some time that he starts to look a bit dejected and sad without your usual kisses. He just looks like a dejected puppy at this point.

But he won't idle around, so he'll stride up to you, and softly ask if he did anything wrong, or if he hurt you in some way. You blink before you apologize for accidentally neglecting him, and offer to make it up to him. He perks up excitedly at the thought of getting lots of kisses and head rubs.

“Aether? It’s just a hypothetical question, you don’t have to think about it too mu–” you were really just blurting out thoughts and nonsense.

He pulls you in for a hug, one arm tight around your waist and the other behind your head. “Please don’t” he whispers. “I don’t have anything else,”

He’ll become a shell of himself if you disappear. He’d look for you, but he’ll shed tears every night.

ZHONGLI is steadfast as a rock and would be rather difficult to fluster despite great efforts. He’d crack a smile or two, admiring the beauty of your actions, but you’ll never win from the toughness of his shell.

“You’d like to brush my hair?” his voice was laced with confusion before he chuckled, “Well, who am I to deny such a gracious request from my beloved?”

Silence filled the room yet both of you relished on the tranquility of each other’s presence, the scent of the tea you two had still in the air, and the crickets of the night sang to further fill in the harmony of the evening.

The brush skims through his thin, long strands that didn’t seem to have that much need. Yet despite it, you made sure that nothing was left uncovered, leaving no regrets behind. By the time you finished, his eyes flutter open as he turns to you, a soft smile on his lips. He then reaches towards your cheek before he says, “I did not know such a simple thing could put my mind to ease, thank you, beloved.”

XIAO is wary, slow to open up, could stretch his wings and fly away when he feels threatened. It was night when the dark enveloped the depths and crevices of the yaksha’s heart, creeping in and soiling his already lost core. His karma—you were no strangers, you knew.

“Xiao, I’m here,” you whisper as his words pushes you away, his body stiff under your embrace, fingers on the strands of his hair. His system was shutting down, almost getting sucked in by darkness when he felt it. The way you caressed his hair still, his scalp and dark locks locks soothed by the tips of your fingers, as if pulling him from the gloom of his debt.

He breathes in as if he hadn’t all his life, panting hard as if vision clears, sight regained as he realizes he was in your room, your house. Not in Wangshu, but with you.

“Are you back?” you looked at him for a minute, and he saw the tears that were in the corner of your eyes, now falling down when you were able to confirm that he was coming to, a smile—the most beautiful smile he had ever seen—forming on your lips before you pulled him in another embrace.

“You’re back. You’re back, Xiao. I thought I lost you,” you say. He was breathing normally by the time he raised his own arms to wrap them on your waist, letting himself return your affection.

“You saved me. I am in your debt, Y/n.”

VENTI’s body is not his own. His face, his hands, his eyes, his hair and everything else is not one that was fated to him—for him. He didn’t particularly paid much attention to his desires. He was no one before you came into his life.

His giggles echoed in the room as you untangled the braids of his hair, the bluegreens coming into life at the softness of your touch.

“So brave of you to ask, my windblume,” he muses, to which you lightly slapped the back of his shoulder while chuckling.

“What? Don’t be shy now,” he teases grinning in fromr of the mirror with his hair now untied and let down.

Despite tt all, he’d be silent throughout the process, a soft smile playing on his face, yet still silent. You could tell he was savoring the moment of being taken care of, his muscles and body at ease.

His body was not his own, but with you here, every moment makes him feel like it was his all along.

THOMA had always thought of others before himself. He does not also have the time to do so, anyway. Thus when you came and changed his entire routine, it was then that he realized how much effort he puts onto others before, and with you by his side, he was slowly starting to appreciate and be selfish of the attention he had neglected from himself.

“That feels good,” he says as he lets you rub your fingertips on his scalp, your digits on his strands, “You’re so good to me, you know.”

He cracks one eye open and he reaches for your hand, placing a kiss on it for a little while before closing his eyes once again. Such a sweet man, he is, he doesn’t even know how much your heart skipped a beat and your breath halted at such a simple action.

SCARAMOUCHE would kill with the daggers of his gaze—or literally—before anyone could even touch him. Yet, like many other time, you remain his one and only weakness.

And he doesn’t know if he despised it or loved it.

“What are you-” he halts, his mouth pursing shut as you continued to brush his hair with your palm, smiling as you compliment him on how smooth it was. You chose to ignore the blush that appears on his cheeks as he continues to stare at you, forcing himself to narrow his eyes at your form; his hat on your head, a pleased look on your face. It was a good thing no one was there around both of you or else he might have dug his own grave by letting you pet his head and hair delightfully.

“I’m not a pet, Y/n,” he frowns—pouts, actually. But despite this, you could tell how much he liked it with how he doesn’t push you or your hand away.

Soft as a feather. It was natural of KAZUHA to always compliment your beauty beyond his—you’re the priority, When you offered to do his hair one particular time, he was ready to say no. Yet he knows those sparkles and glitters in your orbs, begging him to say yes, thus he did, chuckling with a “Of course, whatever you wish, my dove.”

He remains silent as you carefully brush his hair first, asking him every now and then if it hurts every time you straighten up the knotted strands of his light hair with a whisper. It warms his heart, how much you care, how much you love. By the time you finished combing snd tying his hair on his usual style, he suddenly turns around and grabs your hand, placing a kiss on each of your knuckles before standing to his feet and pressing his lips on yours.

“Thank you,” he whispers next to your skin, “you never fail to amuse me, dove.”

KAEYA has too many secrets to hide. The gravity of his sins couldn’t even compare with those that seemed visible to the eye.

When you touch his hair, you were touching his heart, his core, his soul. He wants to pull away, to never let anyone see his vulnerabilities and fragilities. Yet you, you have something in you that makes him feel… free.

Freedom’s such a heavy word, even from him who supposedly hails from Mondstadt. With your lips, he love; with your hands, he care; with your touch, he submits. You broke him out of the frozen confines of his heart, made him breathe through the air of this so-called love.

“Kaeya? Does it feel good, hun?” you asked him, and he looks into your eyes and tells the truth.

“Of course, sweetheart,” he smiles at you, “Everything you do for me is good.”

Due to his natural instincts, GOROU feels your touches with an intensity. Just merely having your fingers caress and run through his hair makes his muscles instantly ease to the touch. He accidentally lets out a few hums or moans especially since his guard was down, only to let it back up as he consciously looks around, cautious of having anyone else around.

You giggled as you gently pat on the back of his head, halting the soft attack on his hair and ears for a little while, letting the poor boy rest and take a breather, “Don’t worry, no one but me will hear you.”

“This is embarrassing,” he hides his face on the crook of your neck, but remained having his arms around you and legs propped on either side of yours—seated on your lap, actually.

“Don’t be, baby,” you purr, “I’m just pampering you for a little while. So just relax, hm?”

DILUC shielded himself from anything else, anybody else. Deflected any other care towards him and as a result, he wasn’t used to such kind of affections.

“You don’t have to,” he says as you prompt him to sit down in front of the mirror, eyes telling how much it’s not something he does not do often—ever, probably.

He remains quiet for a long while, you won’t even know if he liked if or not until you two were about to slip on the bed, suddenly feeling him hug you from behind and kissing one of your temples as he held you there for a little while.

“Would you like this to be a recurring habit every night?” he whispers, quite hesitatingly but still letting it out, “It appears you took pleasure on it, I don’t mind if you’d want to keep it that way starting from now.”

CHILDE is a wildfire, despite his wave-like strength. Yet there are times when he’s magntized by the force of your peace, and this is was one of those times.

You were taking off his mask, helping him out of pure routine when he comes home. By the time you successfully do so and had the item placed somewhere else, he takes a hold of your hand before pulling them up to his hair once again.

“Why?”

“Can you do that again?” he inquires with a shy smile.

You could only furrow your brows as you then realized what he was referring to, a smirk forming on your lips, “Want me to caress your hair?”

He pouts and he seemed to want to say no but he sooner nods, pulling you from where you both were until he plops on the couch, while letting you sit on his lap.

“Please? I’m so tired from work,” he whines, snaking his arms on your waist and settling his head on your shoulder, not before pressing a gentle kiss on it first.

AYATO‘s hair is like silk, woven by the greatest seamstresses of Inazuma, He lets you brush them since you seemed to have been wanting to—you confessed it to him, actually, by the time you two had gotten together.

He lets you do whatever you want with them; through braids, ponytails, or maybe even a bun. You let him take care of you, thus he lets you do the same to him. Actually, he’d let you play with his hair while he’s doing his work. “It calms me down,” he says, referring to the way your fingers run over his hair, your fingertips teasing his back or his shoulders or the back of his neck, brushing onto them accidentally.

ALBEDO couldn’t understand the pleasure of having their hair touched by someone—being taken care of, actually. Such a confusing topic that he can never relate to until it happened to him—you happened.

He felt it; how his shoulders eased, a sigh falling out of his lips, his back leaning to where you were behind him, and it was as if the world had gone and you and him were the only ones left. When you proposed to take a bath together, he didn’t expect for someone such as himself to feel like this. Comforting, almost like a sanctuary and an escape from the world.

“You’re silent, ‘Bedo, are you alright?” your voice pulls him out of his reverie.

“Better, actually,” he answers, “I did not know how calming it is to have someone massage though one’s scalp or let them wash their hair. Unexpected but it’s not really surprising, after all, there are nerve endings in the scalp, which makes it quite easy to let us, even such as I, to feel good.”

You could only blink as you nod even if his back was on yours, awkwardly chuckling, “Yeah.. that’s right. Anyway, would you like me to apply conditioner on your hair?”

Teyvat is a cruel world. AETHER knew of that as his footsteps wandered around, traveled and met everyone and experienced everything.

He swears to protect you, to show you that there is a light beneath the darkness. And yet, you’re the one who does it to him, who takes care of him or loves him when he didn’t know he needed it. He has his sister, and he has everything. But now, he doesn’t think he could live the same without you and your fingers sliding onto his hair, bringing them together into a braid just how much you put him together. You were now his foundation, a sanctuary he couldn’t have expected to find, the person who makes him whole and drown out all the worries away, even for a little while.

ALBEDO is actually unfairly handsome while he’s reading books, somehow especially so whenever they’re recommended by you, he thinks you may like it, or is reminded of you while reading. sometimes you’re just chilling after he’s finished reading for the day, and it’s such a pleasant surprise when he seems to smile more and is more affectionate? he’s a lot softer than usual then for some reason, hmm…

on one day when the two of you are just relaxing together, ALBEDO lends you his sketchbook! you were expecting to see lovely drawings of the beauties of nature and all… but still, it’s a pleasant and rather flustering surprise to see as well many drawings of you. you, his muse who has shown him many of the wonders of life. and so he kisses your cheek, smiling and merely commenting that you are the most beautiful nature has to offer.

you’re not sure whether to be in a surprised or i-definitely-saw-this-coming mood when you see that CHILDE bought that one a-little-bit-too-pricey top you were eyeing… but you daren’t chastise him for it, especially seeing the genuine love in his eyes. shopping with him is always lovely, as he somehow knows what clothes will look great on you (he says all of them will, though. and he’s right btw <3).

on some really early mornings, CHILDE grins at you cheekily as you both discreetly play music in the dead of night even though you both should be sleeping. he grabs your hand, twirls you around though the song doesn’t even match his actions, and pulls you close. and, he stares in your eyes softly, with genuine love—only to smooch you quickly before twirling away and turning up the music to a louder song he prefers… it’s fun jamming to songs of both of your music tastes, dancing like no one’s watching.

ZHONGLI frequently strolls around the streets of Liyue; day in or day out, he walks and walks. Every time the other people, specifically the vendors would see and recognize him, they knew what was missing and what seemed to be the problem—you, you were not with him. He looks the same on the outside; respectful, dignified, and standing tall. Yet they could never fail to miss the certain glow on his eyes, his face, and his smile whenever you stood beside him. Unknown to them, however, he had got more time in the world to wait for you. So until then, he’d wait for your return as he walks along the streets of his land, waits for the time he could finally gaze upon your beauty once again; may it be under the sun or the stars from above.

XIAO asks for two plates of Almond Tofu—which is quite unusual of him since he never had that much of an appetite before, especially mortal food. Silence had always been his company, not until you came along. You brought him the voices of humans; who they were, what they were good of, what was the light hidden amongst the darkness that he had always seen. You gave him hope and the reason for people to love him—for him to appreciate himself more. His purpose was not just to protect all of Liyue, but he became someone for you, and the same can be said with you to him. He longs for the day you come back, and until you do, he has two plates of Almond Tofu; one for you, one for him. This is a symbol of him waiting for you, and until then, he will continue to do so, no matter how long it takes.

VENTI stays at home even if he’s longing for Dandelion Wine in the evenings when he’s all alone. He waits for your arrival, hopes that this night would be the night you come home and kiss him, hug him, cuddle with him. It all seems so foreign for him to be all alone once again, but it seemed he should get used to it by now. Not long after your absence, he finds himself swallowed up by loneliness, the words falling out of his lips like a cry—but it was tuned, with a melody that seemed to have resembled like a plea, begging for you to come back soon.

THOMA is often seen by the docks, staring far off into the ocean. One can tell that if they talk to him, he wouldn’t be able to give them the attention he so often gives to others. He is very well known to the Inazumans, which is why when he goes in a state like this, they would surely know what seems to be on his mind. You, of course. Your relationship with the Retainer of the Kamisato Clan is not that much of a secret. Contrary to that, everybody knew about it. When he stands by the docks, seemingly awaiting someone, or when people see him looking forlorn despite being surrounded by the strays on the place where he usually goes, they knew. He was missing you. And despite being able to always help everyone else, there seems to be no one who could do the same to him.

SCARAMOUCHE asks his subordinates if there’s any news from you. They would often scramble to their feet, trying to get to where he is when he calls, only to be asked “Anything from Y/n yet?” Most of them would complain whenever this happens to them, but even if they do, it doesn’t really affect SCARAMOUCHE. What’s more, is that he’s more out of it, really. Instead of getting annoyed than usual, he’s more… tame, so to speak. Damn. Why can’t you leave his mind already? He’s aware of what his lackeys are thinking—that you were able to reduce him into this kind of person; searching for your presence until he’s sure that you’re safe within his arm’s reach.

KAZUHA is more silent. Beidou and the Crew could only tease him about it for a while, only for it to backfire due to him being quite good with words. “Well, of course, I miss them. What sort of lover would I be if I don’t?” he will say. However, despite the lightness and ease in his words, it was quite the opposite of the pressure on his chest, and the lack of enthusiasm with the sight of the beautiful view ahead of him. What he seeks is you, and he has no other company but his words and the wind, to comfort him in this time of need. He doesn’t dwell on these feelings quite obviously, but only his soul would be testament to how much longing he could take before he couldn’t anymore.

KAEYA talks more, this is why it’s fairly obvious to other people what he was feeling, especially with you not beside him. Despite his best efforts to attempt to hide the secrecy of his emotions, to encase it in ice, not to be freed and seen, people knew nonetheless. And even if he realizes this himself, he continues to pretend and act like he was okay, like everything was fine and nothing changed since you left. Such a shame, really. How he forces the truth in other people’s minds and his, but the hollowness in his heart continues to stay as it was—empty. Like who he truly was without you.

GOROU buries his nose on your pillow and sleeps on it, or maybe hugs it and the scent that you left off of there lulls him to sleep. It has been so long that he has been alone that he could never truly remember what it felt like anymore before you left. Everything felt so new again as if you had been fixated and remained permanent in his life. He seeks for your presence, and he could only find it with the clothes you left, or the pillow that remained empty on the nights he returns home. Home… it doesn’t even feel like one anymore without you.

DILUC drowns himself in his work. He finds comfort on a busy day, to disrupt his thoughts of you from plaguing his mind, making him corrupted of memories of when you were there, supporting him, getting him through work without making him feel exhausted afterward. But he does it again—over and over again, he thinks about you. The more he does think about you, the more he works. The bags under his eyes, the weariness of his voice, and the slump on his shoulders. No one has the heart or courage to speak up, because they knew he would only close up, return back to the old him when you still weren’t there in his life to brighten it up.

CHILDE is rather antsy, which results in him getting quite messy and irresponsible in his work. It frustrates him, but he doesn’t want to show it in front of other people, especially his subordinates. You are his strength, but you’re also his weakness as well. That is a fact he came to realize before you two had even gotten into a relationship, Yet, he accepted the challenge because he loved you—he has genuine feelings for you. It’s funny, right? A Harbinger, someone who inflicts pain to anyone, being hurt because of love. How childish, the others of his same occupation would think. But he’s proud of this relationship, of you. And he’s a mess without you, which is why you need to go back—you need to come back into his arms and make him feel whole again.

AYATO will often be seen waiting. By the lounge of the Kamisato residence, or maybe by the garden, sometimes strolling around, which will make his sibling, Ayaka, see him often. This will be a recurring habit of his, to await your return since he was too preoccupied to do his work. He will still do what he needs to, but whenever he had the chance, he waits patiently for your return. He’s selfish, he wants to see you first, to greet you first, to embrace you in his arms first. So please, just come back to him—that is his only prayer every single day.

ALBEDO works more to the point of overworking himself, much like Diluc. The only difference is that ALBEDO does this because he has no one to tell him to stop, to rest for a while—that was how convincing you were. You knew how to coax him into doing something someone like him doesn’t really need, but seeing how much you cared for him and his health, he will do so. Actually, he may even have a note by his desk, one that has your handwriting, reminding him to “Take a rest, my love.” He’d read it with your voice in his mind, making him smile unconsciously and stare at the note for a little while longer.

AETHER will try to find you. Even if he doesn’t look like it because he still does what he should while in the process of finding you, he made an oath with himself to do so, wherever you may be. He has faith that you and he will meet again. To gods be damned. The stars will one day align and make him see your eyes which he so longed for in the days you were gone.

Holiday Special in Mondstadt

This was written for 2020 Christmas and decided to wait to upload it here. Be warned that characters revealed/released after December 2020 will not show up here.

Mondstadt was and is your first and forever home. It would be befitting to say the least, seeing as it was the first place tou stumbled upon and start your official journey to find your sibling. No matter where you are in Teyvat, the title of "Mondstadt's Honorary Knight" will be rung throughout that city and you wore it with pride. So, when Christmas came along, it was only natural to come home to your second family.

"(Y/N), is that you?" A voice, that you'd never forget in the many people you've heard speak, calls your name. You turned around and was greeted with the first local of Mondstadt and a whom was part of the Knight's of Favonius- Amber. "Hey, Amb--"

You were cut off as the brunette ran up and hugged you. You stumbled back a bit before returning her hug with a smile on your face. "Oh my Barbatos! It is you!" If you didn't know, Amber had missed you so and would cry, but she was a big girl to not cry over something silly such as a reunion. "Hey, Paimon is here too!" Another voice stepped in and Amber pulls back. "Oh, hey, Paimon! I'm happy to see that you're here too!" She gave the little, floating creature a smile as well.

"Anyway, what are you doing here? I thought you'd be off and in Inazumi when I heard the chaos died down in Liyue," she states, though still feeling happy that you returned. "Ah, I will.. I returned to Mondstadt to celebrate Christmas with all of you," you say in earnest. "Aw..!" She gave you another hug- this one being shorter.

"Oh, speaking of Christmas, Master Diluc is holding a Christmas party at the tavern tonight for just us- although it was kind of forced," she mumbled the last part, scratching her cheek. "Really? Then I'll be sure to come!" You missed going to the tavern to just loiter around and have a chat with the owner, so you took it as a chance.

"Well, I better be off to do a quick clearing of camps. I'll see you later, (Y/N)." She waves and turned around to walk away. But not even a step forward, you called her name, just remembering something. "I have something to give you," you said and turn to your floating companion who took something out from thin air and gave it you. "We bought you a gift!" It was a small, yet beautifully decorated, red box with golden ribbons.

A smile appeared on the girl's face as she happily accepts your gift. "Aw, thanks, (Y/N)! This is the best gift ever!" You laughed at her words. "But you haven't opened it yet," you point out. "But it's the best since it's from you!" You sigh whilst smiling at the girl and then tell her to go finish her mission.

"Well, where should we go to next?" Paimon asks. You ponder it for a moment, fingers under your chin. Then, "Oh, why don't we go visit Mona?" you suggest, wondering how the astrologist have been. Paimon nods with enthusiasm and the two of you walked to her place, but along the way, you met up with a certain knight in maid's clothing. "Hey, isn't that Noelle?" Paimon asks, pointing at the girl who was just exiting a house, probably was called to help the family in that house. "Oh, you're right! Hey, Noelle!" you call her name loudly, earning her attention.

You jogged up to her with a smile. "Honorary Knight, what are you doing in Mondstadt?" she asks with a genuine look of surprise. "I came to celebrate Christmas with all of you!" you answered and look at Paimon who got yet another gift, one whose colours matches that of the knight in front of you. "And we wanted to give all of you a gift."

She stares at the box in your hand with great surprise. Something so simple, yet so great to her, took her lips and tug it into a smile, looking up at you. "Thank you, Honorary Knight, but you don't owe me anything." You shook your head and push the gift closer to her. "It's Christmas! Of course, I'll be bound to give you something," you say. She took one look at it in your hands before happily accepting it. "Well, I must be off now. Take car of yourself!" You waved goodbye to the knight and continued your way to Mona's house, knocking on the door once at the foot of it. It took a while before hearing footsteps nearing the door. Upon opening it, the girl was caught by surprise at the sudden sight of you. "(Y/N) and Paimon? What are the two of you doing here?" she asks, a look of surprise on her face.

"Surprise!" you and Paimon cheers. "I thought you would have foreseen us coming," you joked, catching the astrologist to a baffled state. "Well, ah, um.. I don't use such power to look over at the littlest of things," she says proudly, earning a giggle from you and Paimon.

"Anyway, what are the two of you doing here?" She clears her throat. "We wanted to return for Christmas!" you answered. "And I also wanted to give you a gift." You outstretched your hand holding a purple box with star-like pattern adorned with a gold ribbon. The female was certainly surprised at the unforeseen event. "I, uh.." Words failed on her tongue, but accept the gift. She had never been given a gift before, so something even as small as your present meant much more than you'd realize. "I, thank you.. It's a wonderful gift," she said. You smiled at the girl, warmth filling up inside you at the sight of her genuinely thankful.

After a short conversation, you bid goodbye in search of the others whom you had planned to give gifts to. Of course, you stopped and gave gifts to the Wagner- the blacksmith- Katheryne, Marjorie, Stanley, and Sara before entering Cat's Tail.

The tavern was full of life with people who wished to seek shelter from the cold while enjoying a good glass of alcohol. Not too far from you, you see Diona behind the bar, making a glass of cocktail and giving it to a customer. You walked up and sat down at an available seat at the counter, waiting for her to come to you. "What can I-- (Y/N) and Paimon!?" she gasped. You smiled at the cat-like girl. "When did you come back?"

"Not too long ago," you answered. "Well, uh, what can I get you?" she asks, talking to both you and Paimon. "Ah, we don't want anything," you say and leave the girl giving you a confused look. "Then, what are the two of you doing here?"

"We wanted to give you a gift." With that, you handed her a pink decorated box adorned with a single, blue ribbon. "It's Christmas, after all." The little female stare at you with surprise. "For me?" she repeats, to which you happily nodded. The girl was then drawn to her mind, remembering that today was the day that she should go to Springvale to celebrate the holiday with her family. "Thank you, I mean it."

You left the tavern soon after, missing the warmth that it brought tou upon entering it. "Since we went to Cat's Tail, we should go to Angel's Share next!" Paimon suggests eagerly and you nodded, agreeing to go to the place next. Nearing the tavern, the booming sounds of laughter and chatter could be heard at a great volume. You opened to door and welcomed the warmth you missed for a couple of seconds when you left Cat's Tail.

A familiar, fiery-haired male was the first to look your way and his eyes reflected that of surprise. "(Y/N)?" The call of your name brought the second, familiar male to turn around in his seat. With a smile and wave at the two, you joined them at the bar, sitting two seats away from the second male. "Hey," you greet.

"Ho~ Why, if it isn't the Honorary Knight," Kaeya greets, a glass of alcohol in hand. "What brings you here, (Y/N)? Missed me that much, huh?" He laughs and you rolled your eyes, turning your focus to the winery owner. "Anything you'd like to drink?" he asks, arms unfolding from their day-to-day position. "What about Paimon? Paimon wants apple juice!" Paimon cries at her dismissal of presence. Diluc eyed her and gave her a quick 'okay' and nod before getting her a glass of apple juice.

"Anyway, I came to return for Christmas," you answered, talking to the Cavalry Captain. "How are you both anyway?"

"I have been doing just fine," Kaeya answers, turning his head to the male behind the counter. "I've been better," Diluc grumbles behind the bar, referring how Kaeya's entrance made his day worse, and gives Paimon her drink. "Aw, come now, dear brother, I know you miss my company~" Kaeya teases, attempting to provoke his older brother, but the stoic-faced, red-head didn't dare do anything, albeit a bit annoyed at Kaeya's presence.

"Ah, I heard you guys are throwing a Christmas party at the tavern tonight," you moved on. "That's right. My dear brother happily allowed us to celebrate here-- with him. I'm betting you that he doesn't want to be alone for the holiday," he grins at the sound of it. "Is there anywhere on my face that shows that I'm a bit happy?" Diluc questions, eyes narrowing as he glares holes into Kaeya, and arms crossed-- truly showing how annoyed he looks.

The interaction between the two of the males was something you had missed and couldn't help but laugh a little. Kaeya turns his head to look at you and smiled at your genuine laughter. "Looks like someone is having a good time," Kaeya points out. You nodded, giving a clear-eyed smile. Then, "Oh, right! I almost forgot to give you guys your gifts!" You turned to look at Paimon who had the gifts in hand. "These are for you two!" You handed both of them their reserved gifts and the two eye at the box with surprise.

It took an awkward second before Kaeya clears his throat. "Thank you, (Y/N). This is the best present." Kaeya smiles softly and ruffles your hair. How long has it been since the Cavalry Captain received a gift? He does not know. He reminisces, recalling the last Christmas spent with his family, where Crepus was alive and Diluc was smiling. That was probably the last time.

"Thank you, (Y/N). I am sure this is a wonderful gift," Diluc says and put the present somewhere safe until the day ends when he could come and collect it. You chatted with them for a while until you had decided it was time to go since you have other people to go give gifts to. "Where are we going next, (Y/N)?" Paimon asks. "To the cathedral." There was someone working there whom you have a gift for.

By the time you made it at the door of the cathedral, you were beat, the way up killing your legs. "Paimon is tired.." Paimon pants, a step ahead of you. You look at her, not understanding how, for someone who only floats, could get tired by floating pass the stairs. You shook your head and straightened yourself up. "Honorary Knight?" Someone calls from your right, on the side of the building.

You and Paimon turn your attention and see the maiden of the hour. "Hey, Barbara," you greet her with a smile. "It is you, Honorary Knight! What wind brought you back here?" she asks in great verve, walking closer to you. "The cold air from Snezhnaya," you answered jokingly.

"Anyway, I came here to give you a Christmas present for the holiday." You handed her a light blue box decorated with glitter and adorned with a darker blue ribbon-- just like the receiver of the gift. She was astounded by the gift in your hand and looks at you. "Is this really for me?" she asks.

"Who else would I climb these stairs for if not you?" The words that left your mouth warmed the idol's heart and accepted the gift. "Thank you, Honorary Knight. May the Anemo Archon protect you in your journey." You nodded and bid goodbye to the blonde and made your way down the stairs. "Are we going to the Favonius Headquarters?" Paimon asks, nearing the end of the staircase. You hummed to her question, seeing as the headquarters was just close by.

You greeted the knights who stood guard at the entrance and made your way inside. You knocked on the door that was the Acting Grand Master's office and hear a mumbled "come on" through the wood. Entering the room, you see Jean and Lisa sitting on the single couch in the office, and Klee on the floor, drawing. "Oh my, why if it isn't the cutie," Lisa greets, standing up. "Honorary Knight, what brings you here? Ah, wait.. You should have send notice of your arrival so that we could be a more welcoming," Jean says, following Lisa.

"Don't worry about it. I actually planned to surprise all of you by coming back abruptly," you say. Klee stood up from the ground and run up to you. "(Y/N), look at this! I drew it!" Klee holds up a sheet of paper with pride, showing you the interesting picture she drew.

"Ah, that's  very nice, Klee," you praised which made the young knight giggle shyly. "Anyway, what brings you here, Honorary Knight?" Jean asks, gaining you attention. "I came to celebrate the Christmas with you guys."

Jean smiles. "If that is the case, there will be a party at Master Diluc's tavern-- I'm sure you have heard of it by now?" she questions. You nodded. "Amber told me about it when I met up with her this morning."

"I see, that is good." You turn to look at Paimon who then again took at boxes from her infinity backpack. "I also came with presents for all of you," you said, gesturing at the three boxes.

"Ooh, presents! I love presents," Klee cheers, clapping her hands excitedly. You smiled and gave her her gift. It was a red box with a darker red ribbon adorned with a custom-made accessory of her bombs that she loves so much. "Yay!"

"Oh, you shouldn't have gone yourself to buy us a gift. Just your return is a great and wonderful surprise from Barbatos," Jean says, to which Lisa chuckles. "Be appreciative that the cutie brought back us gifts, Jean," she says and looks at you. You smiled and gave her a purple box, decorated with purple roses with a darker colour of purple lace as a ribbon. She thanked you and you went on ahead to give Jean hers-- a blue box that was the same colour as her cloak with a golden ribbon. "Then, thank you, Honorary Knight." The blonde smiles. "I'm guessing that we'll see you tonight?" You nodded. "Yeah. And oh, do you know where Venti could be?" you ask, not seeing him anywhere in places where he could be.

"I believe he said that he will be at Starsnatch Cliff," Jean answers and you gave a quick nod before bidding a bye for now. "Paimon don't see why we need to give Tone-Deaf Bard a present too," Paimon states once you two were outside of the headquarters. "Doesn't he get a lot of gifts from the people?"

You chuckled and shook your head. "He is our friend, of course we have to give him something too," you said.  "But before we go outside, let's go see four more people within the walls."

The first two weren't so hard to find as they were both in the same place. "Albedo, Sucrose, hey!" you greet, entering the spacious room filled with strange materials. "A, ah! Honorary Knight, when did you arrive in Mondstadt?" Sucrose greets, fumbling with a tube in her hand when she flinched by the sudden voice that broke through the silence.

"I came back this morning," you answered and stepped inside so you could shut the door from the cool air. "What happened, Sucrose?" Another voice spoke between the two of you, and from the back, emerges the blonde alchemist you were hoping to see around. "Oh, Honorary Knight, what brings you here?"

"Hey, Albedo, just here to drop by and give you two a gift and wish you a Merry Christmas!" you say and had Paimon take out two gifts for the two alchemists, the boxes reflecting that of their colour scheme. "Oh, ah, um, thank you, Honorary Knight," Sucrose says shyly, a small dust of pink on her face. Albedo gave you thanks as well, apologising that he had nothing to give you which you reassure that it was fine.

"We're going to the Adventurer's Guild next, right?" Paimon asks to which you nodded. There was two people that you wished to see.

"A-ah!? (Y/N), you're in Mondstadt?" A certain male bumped into you on your way to the Adventurer's Guild Hall and was quite surprised at the sudden sight of you. "Hi, Bennett!" Paimon greets the young adventurer. Bennett smiles and greets your floating companion. Then, "What brings you here, (Y/N)?" he asks, turning his attention from Paimon to you.

"We wanted to celebrate the holiday here-- in Mondstadt," you answered for the nth time of today. "And we also brought you a gift!" You gave him his present and see his eyes glimmer at the sight. He have been unlucky his whole life and many feared their lives when going on an adventure with him, so often than not, he doesn't receive gifts-- only the elders of the guild does so. "I, thank you so much, (Y/N), I mean it." He avert his eyes from the present in his hand and smiles at you. "You're welcome, Bennett," you said. "I would love to stay and chat with you for a bit, but the sun is setting way too quickly and I have others to see. Let's go on an adventure next time!" The last part warmed the boy and wave goodbye at you.

"What ho," a familiar voice calls upon you not too far away. "Why, if it isn't my loyal subjects. Say, what brings oneself back to thy master?" Before you stood none other than the chuunibyou of Mondstadt, Fischl.

"Mein Fraulein welcomes you back with great surprise and wonders why you are back," her bird companion, Oz, says. "We came back for the holiday!" Paimon says and you nod. "We also bought you a gift. I hope you like them," you said and handed two boxes to Fischl-- one for Oz and herself.

"I, uhm, thank you.." She looks at the presents with eyes agape of astonishment, and her words limited from the surprise. She looks at Oz and back at you and smiled, you returning hers with a smile of your own.

"Are we going to Starsnatch Cliff now?" Paimon asks once you both were outside of the city's walls, to which you nod. When you got close to the cliff, you see a large set of wings flapping in the distance. Knowing who it could it be, you rushed your pace in excitement.

"Venti! Dvalin!" you called, gaining  both of the owner's name attention-- Dvalin looks up whilst Venti turns his head around. "(Y/N)?" A smile appears on the bard's face. "Hey, Venti, how have you been?" you ask, making your way to sit beside Venti and Dvalin.

He chuckles. "I've been doing okay. Not many exciting things are going on since, well, you know.." He hinted at the Dvalin, scratching his head. "So, how was Liyue? Did you meet Rex Lapis?"

"About that.." You went ahead and excitedly talked about the chaos that was soon resolved in Liyue and mentioned how Rex Lapis was now a broke consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour, earning a laugh from both the bard and dragon.

"The old coot has finally decided to step down, huh?" Venti laughs once more. "Anyway, what brings you back in Mondstadt?"

"Isn't it obvious? Mondstadt is my first home upon arriving here, so I am bound to come when the holidays rolls in," you say and added, "We also brought you two gifts." Having said so, you gave Venti and Dvalin's gifts, a smile spread on your face.

"For me as well?" Dvalin sounds quite surprised and you laugh at the question. "Of course, why should I leave you out?" you question. The dragon remained silent for a while before thanking you in earnest.

"Oh, right, are you joining everybody else at Angel's Share tonight?" you directed the question to the Anemo Archon. "Do you need to ask? If Master Diluc will give me free drinks, then of course I will!" The four of you broke into another joyous laughter.

The sun was now fading in the distance when you and Paimon had to part ways with the other two to make one, last visit. "To Wolvendom we go, Paimon!"

When you were on the outskirts of the territory, the sun was nowhere to be see, and having the moon as your only light source. "Paimon thinks we shouold give his tomorrow.." Paimon quiver, looking anxiously for anything that might come and scare her.

"We shouldn't wait until tomorrow because it isn't Christmas anymore by then," you state. The walk was silent and you had to admit, you started to become anxious, the sound of crickets being the only thing that was making noise scaring you. You wondered where the wolf boy could be and if he was still out, wandering the forest.

In the dead silence, sound of bushes rustling in the distance came about, scaring both you and Paimon. "Eep! What is it?" Paimon asks, using you as a shield. You took out your sword and took a stance, waiting for whatever was hiding in the bush in front if you.

Then, to scare the both of you even more, the creature leapt out of the bushes. "AHH! Don't eat Paimon!" She closes her eyes and cowers behind you. You took a few moments before realizing what it was that you were staring and sighed a breath of relief, looking at Paimon over your shoulders. "Paimon, it was just a boar." The boar was long gone when it leapt from the bushes, frightened for its life.

"Oh, ah, that's good," Paimon says awkwardly. But wait, "Hey, what do you think it was running from?" you ask, remembering how it didn't simply walk out of the bush and ran, but was running through it as if it was being chased.

As if on cue, more rustling of bushes came from the same direction, but this one shaking the bush to its full extent. You readied your sword and Paimon returns to cower behind you.

It felt slow, but when the thing emerges from the bush, you were surprised to see who it was. "Gah, please don't eat Paimon!" she pleads with her eyes closed.

"(Y/N)..? And Paimon?" The sound of the person's voice made Paimon realize who it was and she opens her eyes. "Razor! So, it was you who was chasing the boar?"

"You see boar?" Razor's eyes lit up. "Yeah, it ran past us just now," you answered, seeing the boy droop his head down. "Ah, do you want us to catch you a boar?" The silver-haired male shook his head. "No need.. Want extra food.. For night.." he says. Ah, he was having those late-night cravings. Understandable, you mentally agree.

"What is you.. Here? Left adventure.. Night now," he asks. You smiled. It has been a while since you last talked to the wolf boy, so seeing him the same as before felt kind of comforting to know. You outstretched your hand with the present and said, "Merry Christmans, Razor."

The boy stare at the object in your hand, a bit confused and stare back up-- into your eyes. "This is for you," you said and urge him to take the gift. "For me..?" You nod, watching him hesitantly take the gift off of your hands. "Razor heard.. Of Christmas. Now know gifts," he says, feeling a bubble of happiness well up inside him. "Thank you.."

"You're welcome, Razor. I wish you a happy holiday with your family," you said, referring to his wold pack. He nods and bid you farewell, waving a hand at your retreating figure, a wolf soon appearing beside him and hint him to go back

"Paimon is hungry," Paimon cries. "Well, it is about time we should be heading to the tavern now, so just a few more walks and you can eat," you said, agreeing that you were hungry as well.

The tavern was filled with light emitting through the crack if the door. Pushing it wide open, you were greeted by a whiff of sweet aroma coming from the many food set before you. "(Y/N), Paimon! The night was filled of warmth with merry people-- eating, drinking, chatting, laughing-- whatever floats your boat. Paimon was stuffed and couldn't take another bite. You watched the people who became your first family, a smile slowly spreading your face, happy of the choice to return for Christmas and join your very first Christmas in Teyvat with your family of this world.

Kaeya Alberich- a gentleman in the eyes of the elderly as well as that of other citizens, or so they think. In fact, he was just a smooth talker that knows which buttons to push and strings to pull in order to manipulate someone. A charm that only he could do.. Well, along with another person.

That person could well charm the citizens, but they had their eyes set on a prey to bother with them. Kaeya sighs just thinking about that prey being him. Glancing at the clock, he knew that you would be entering the tavern real soon.

"Did it hurt?" A flirtatious voice spoke from behind just as he had predicted. The Cavalry Captain closes his eyes and takes hold of his glass, a smirk playing out on his lips. "What? Me falling from Celestia?" he questions, back still facing none other than you. "I can't say. I've never been dropped from there." He chuckles at his own response. "Do you want me to try it?"

You rest a hand on your hip and a sigh escape from your lips. "O' Kaeya, why can't you go along with me?" you ask and make your way over to the bar, sitting on the stool right next to his.

Kaeya just laughs. "Haha, well, you should try better." He looks at his almost empty glass before taking a sip of his drink. "Well then, why don't you teach me?" you half-heartedly joke.

"Oh? Me teach you? I'm not much of an expert in that," he said. "Not an expert of flirting or teaching?" you asked. "Both, I suppose."

You laughed. "Ah, don't pull that on me. Don't think I don't notice how you make people putty in your hands with your sweet words," you said, a suspicious glint goes unnoticed by the ever keen captain. "Oh? Calling me manipulative now, are we?"

"Maybe.. Why don't you try to use that to bend me to your hearts content?" You wiggles your eyebrows, making Kaeya laugh, drinking that last couple of liquid in his cup. "You're very naughty, (Y/N)." He leans closer, face just inches from yours. "Let's see how much naughtier you are in bed."

You admit, you were certainly caught by surprise but regained your composure. "This may be a coincidence, but my bed just happened to be broken-- why don't we use yours." You press a hand on his chest. Now you two were really close. He was eyeing your lips with a smirk, knowing that you were doing the same as well, and probably have some thoughts.

However, that little moment was soon over when a certain someone came to disrupt it. "Ahem. Sorry to ruin the moment, but I think you guys should take this outside. The tavern is closing for the night."

You turn to look over the counter with a pout on your face. "Aw, Master Diluc, did you really have to do that?" Diluc crosses his arms over his chest, clearly not amused at the sight of you two being cheesy.

"As I said, the tavern is closing," he repeated. Kaeya looks at his brother and stood up. "Well, I guess this is where we part ways for tonight. I must say, you did excellent in tonight's attempt," he comments, heading for the door before stopping to look over at you two. "I'll be the first to go. Bye now."

Today was no day to laze around in bed as it was the most important of days in a year- Kaeya's birthday.

You quietly slipped out of bed to get change, and out from his warm embrace, soon missing it when your feet touched the cold ground and parts of your skin- which was exposed- hits the cold air. It was quite early, but you had to get on the move if you want everything done by the designated time that Jean had said.

You along with the top-notches of the Knights of Favonius and Diluc- much to his visible distaste- had secretly been planning for a week specifically for this day. Jean carefully planned it out so that today was his day off today, without raising his suspicion.

From behind, you hear a low moan from the male as he was searching for your warmth, eyes closed. You chuckled at his actions and walked back to the bed, leaning down to give him a kiss on the cheeks. "Get some more rest. It's your day off after all," you said.

You weren't quick enough to move away and his arms quickly wraps around you and pull you back in bed. "Stay.." he moans, voice still groggy as he just woke up. "You know I can't do that. I still have work," you said, but he didn't listen and buries his head into your chest. You sighed and comply to his words, playing with his loose hair. It was really soft.

After a couple minutes, you started to feel his arms loosening around you so you took it as a chance to really slip out of the house and head over to Angel's Share.

When you arrived, everybody was already there and was just waiting for you. "Took you time," Diluc mutters, his expression still the same as ever before and crosses his arms. "Sorry, it was hard to make Kaeya fall back asleep," you say in honest. "Now then, shall we begin?" You smiled, the others returning it with a smile of their own-- Not counting Diluc.

The tavern was closed all throughout the day as the celebration was going to be held there. There were times where you had to go out of the tavern and met Kaeya once, now up and going, and was out to seek for your company. "I'm sorry, Kaeya, I'm running errands for Jean," you said apologetically. You then got Klee to take your place so that the Cavalry Captain wouldn't get lonely and start snooping around the tavern.

The preparations were finally finished at seven in the evening and all that was left was the star of tonight. "(Y/N), can you go get Kaeya now?" Jean asks. You nodded and left the tavern in search for him. It didn't take long as you found him where you thought he'd be- with Klee inside a room in the headquarters, playing.

His head raised up from whatever he was doing and look towards the door, a smile soon replacing his gloomy one- probably because he felt lonely without you. "(Y/N)!" He jumps up from his crossed sitting and runs up to hug you. Although it hadn't been a full day without seeing you, he seeks your affection every chance he could get. You hug back but soon let's go and turn to Klee. "Thank you so much, Klee." You gave a wink and she giggles, earning a quizzical Kaeya. You said your good nights to the young child and walked to the tavern with Kaeya.

"What have you been up to since this morning?" Kaeya asks, holding onto your hand. "Didn't I tell you this morning?" you say, smiling as your look to your side. "Surely, you didn't run around on errands for Jean, did you?" Kaeya was not dumb so keeping secrets was really hard. You chuckle as a response, not giving him a direct answer.

Then, just as you were in sight of the tavern, Kaeya looks at you with confusion reflecting his eyes. Before he could ask, you tug him along until you were at the foot of the door. He stares at you with a raised brow. "Go inside," you urge, failing to hide the excitement in your tone, eyes, and smile.

Kaeya did as told and opens the door. "Surprise!" The people inside greets with full enthusiasm. You entered soon after and stood beside him. "What, what is all this?" he asks and turns to you for the answer. "It's exactly what it looks like." You smiled. "Happy Birthday, Kaeya."

Kaeya was at a lost of words but you helped him with that by urging him on. The celebration lasted quite late into the night with full of chatter, laughter, eating, and drinking. Even Diluc was enjoying the party and you could see that Diluc's eyes were smiling at the sight of his brother enjoying the night.

After helping with the cleanup from the party, you and Kaeya went home. You were too exhausted but still had to change your clothes so you began to take of your shirt. A cold hand held your wrist before you could even have pulled on the shirt, stopping you from changing. "Kaeya?" you call his name in almost a whisper. His arms wraps around your waist and pulls you close to him, your back touching his chest. Heat soon rises from your face when you felt his breath near your ears. "K- Kaeya?" you call again, now stuttering.

"Thank you for today," he finally says. Smelling the alcohol from him, you could tell he drank too much that he was slightly drunk. "Um, it's no--" Your words were cut short when you felt his hands go underneath your shirt, causing shivers running down your spine and stiffening up.

"Relax. It's not like it's our first time doing it together," he whispers into your ears, which definitely did not help with your already warm face. "K- Kaeya, You're drunk. I, I think you should wash up and go to bed.."

"I can handle a little bit of alcohol." He chuckles and nibbles at one of your ears. Your breath hitches. "U-um, Kaeya, we shouldn't be doing this now," you managed to say through airy breaths, but Kaeya was Kaeya and he wasn't going to let a chance like this go to waste. "You know, I haven't received a gift from you yet.." he states. You could feel him smirk and at that moment, you knew you couldn't get out of what's to come.

"Why don't I receive it from you now?"

It is time..

He had fulfilled his duties as a spy and so, it was time for the rightful heir to the throne to return to his home, Khaenri'ah. However, he guilts the thought of going back. In the beginning, he only had one reason of lingering around Mondstadt for a while but now that that he was done, there was really nothing left holding him back to return. So, why is he wavering?

His eyes- both visible- stare at the oh so familiar ceiling of your home. He had grown to love the sight of it over the years. His eyes seemed to sparkle in the night, a hand behind his head. Those eyes if his had always been unique and mysterious apropos to others one would meet along the way. It held a secret that makes one so interested in the soon-to-be former Cavalry Captain, but they could never unveil the truth behind them-- not even you.

Not even you who lay beside him bare and snuggled against him, a hand on his chest. Not even you who was most closest to the knight. If you couldn't do that, who could?

You made a sound during your sleep, gaining the attention of the man. His eyes glistened upon landing sight on you. His heart raced at everything you do. He was happy with you, but he also bitterly blames you for being the reason he was hesitating. Why did you go make such a man fall for you? No, what was it about him that made you fall into his arms? Surely, you could see just how scary those eyes of his, right?

Honestly, you were the first to approach him knowing the darkness that he had carried since young. You dare not question what his past was or where he came from. You openly loved him, but he was going to be your heartache.

If only, he thought, if only he didn't fall into the hole you had made, he would leave Mondstadt all behind without looking back. When did he trip? Was it the first glance of you? There was really something about your eyes that intrigued the male.. Yeah, that was probably it. Something in your eyes shone something he had not seen in himself. Your eyes were free of hidden motives and your quick-witted actions proved that.

Maybe, he was interested because he felt jealous of you. Jealous that you didn't have to carry a burden of a task since young. Maybe he had gotten close to you to take that glimmer in your eyes. After all, he was a man with ulterior motives, no?

Ah, that did no good to Kaeya. He tried to convince himself over and over that there was something he wanted to take from you but as you lay bare beside him, he felt himself at a loss.

You mumbled in your sleep, once more making sounds to gain the attention of the male. Whatever you were dreaming about, it obviously was a pleasant one. He chuckles lowly and put his free hand behind the back of your head, moving you closer to his lips so he could place a kiss on the crown of your head.

The clacking of hurried heels and boots greet you upon entering the headquarters. It was early in the morning but everyone was jolted awake and masked with a stern look, brows furrowing as they rush past you.

You knew what was happening. Otherwise, you would still be lazily getting out of bed. "Acting Grand Master," you greet the blonde whose back was facing you. The call of her title brought her attention from another knight to you. "(Y/N), I'm so glad you're here. Have you seen Kaeya?"

Indeed, you have seen Kaeya. Hoewever, it was just a glimpse before your tired eyes fluttered shut for another hour. "No, I haven't." Jean sighs but did not dwell on the thought of the captain. "Well, we'll just pray to Barbatos that he comes soon. We need all the hands to protect the city from the Abyss."

Something inside you churned. Something was calling out to you that you failed to listen. What is it? Why was dread washing over you at the thought of Kaeya? Surely, he would be fine to take on a couple Abyss mages and hilichurls, right? Well, it doesn't matter. Even if he can take down a whole army, you should still be by his side, fighting with him.

Not waiting for orders from the Acting Grand Master, you made a bolt towards the gate. Jean shouted your name but you ignored it as that churning feeling grew inside you. "Kaeya.."

The entirety of Mondstadt was surrounded at all fronts. All sorts of Abyss mages and hilichurls attacked like savages, using this chance to take down the city while the rest of the troops were still coming their way.

Your eyes darted around, hoping to see the Cavalry Captain somewhere amongst the many men who were trying to by more time for backup to come.

You bit your lips, drawing out the blood to trickle down. Where in Teyvat is Kaeya when you needed him most? It wasn't the time for him to go drinking in a bar, getting wasted.

Not wanting to waste more time dwelling on the thought, you took the lead, running past the other knights and heading deeper into the battle. "Captain!" A knight had called your title but you dare not turn around. Something was telling you that Kaeya was further in, and you were going tl follow it. Knowing Kaeya, it does sound like him for him to rush before anybody else. "Please, Kaeya.. Please be okay."

Clearing any enemies in your way, you felt your heart become lighter at the sight a his familiar back, but you dare not break into a smile. It would just make you lose your focus on the fight.

"Kaeya!" You called, but that failed to reach his ears amongst the chaos around. You were drawing near, noticing that the army started to grow thin in the back.

You were about to call him a second time but the words got stuck in your throat, seeing that the male was talking to an Abyss mage. It confused you. Why is the Abyss mage bowing to Kaeya? Why isn't it attacking Kaeya?

The mage looks up, eyes looking past Kaeya and onto you. "Your highness, behind you," the mage gestures him to look behind. Wait, did the mage call him 'your highness'?

Kaeya turned around to look at you, revealing you both of his eyes that held no warmth as usual when they laid upon you. You were stoned into the spot, mouth feeling dry. What were you supposed to say at this point? Your head dizzied, wanting to collapse on the ground for support.

When your silence was prolonging further activities, his eyes narrowed coldly and his mouth drew a wider frown of displeasure. "(Y/N), what are you doing here?" His voice was montoned and no longer spoke in a flirtatious manner.

The mystery behind his eyes were revealed to you; the mystery that all of Mondstadt wanted to know yet could not get close enough to know.

You gulped back the lump that grew. Surely, there is some misunderstanding, right? Kaeya just wanted to toy with the mage before he killed it, right? Yeah, that has to be it. "K, Kaeya, Acting Grand Master wants you back and help protect Mondstadt.." Your eyes slightly widen in desperation, searching for the truth.

"Oh? Does she now?" A smirk tug his lips yet his eyes stayed the same. He turns his full body to face you and rested his knuckle on his hip. He was toying with you. "Y, yeah.. You better get back before she gets mad at you."

Kaeya chuckles at the look in your eyes, knowing that look all too well. "Why should I go back? I'm not from here so I have no reason to protect it." He shakes his head, all the while smiling. "(Y/N), I'm sure you already know that I am not from here, yes?"

"Where are you going with this, Kaeya? Please stop playing around and come back," you spoke with a shaky voice.

His smile drops. Were you seriously trying to convince yourself that he was a good man? He sighs and walks close to you, grabbing your chin in his hands. "Oh, (Y/N), you could be so cute at times. It almost makes me want to take you with me," his words were sincere. "But the land of sinners is not a place to call home for someone like you. So, be good and listen to when I say to stay." A flick of sorrow failed to catch your eyes.

Kaeya had not slept that night, waiting for the sun to shine through the curtains to tell him that it was time. As much as he wanted to stay with you, he was a sinner who ruled a land abandoned by the gods. He had no place in Mondstadt- with you- knowing his origins.

A tear slipped from the corner of your eyes, but Kaeya did not dare to wipe it away in fear that his heart would waver.

"Be good.. Protect Mondstadt.." He shows you one last genuine smile that you loved. His eyes allowed itself to show you his true feelings for you once more as well which just made your heart squeeze itself.

He brings your face, your lips, close to his. He was giving you one last kiss. A kiss that you would miss for as long as you lived. A goodbye kiss.

Tears left your eyes as he deepened the cherishing kiss.

He soon pulls away, watching your tears fall silently onto the ground. He smiles and turns on his heels to walk away, the Abyss mage following close behind him.

Your legs gave in and fell onto the ground as you watch the man you loved walk away from you-- never to return to Mondstadt-- to you.

Kaeya dares not to look behind. If he did, he had a feeling that he'll run up and hug you to stop those tears of yours. This was goodbye.

"Forget me and find someone else, lest you will be broken."

"Master, your parents sent a letter demanding that you return to Fontaine," Ronan says, hand over his heart and bowing slightly as he gives you the news. You ignored him and stare out the window, sipping coffee that was freshly brewed and delivered directly to your room. It was pouring thus couldn't go to meet Kaeya.

You were in deep thought. It truly has been a long time since you departed in secret to Mondstadt and you knew that if you don't go home, your parents will send a person or two to bring you home. They weren't overbearing parents, no- they are just worried about your safety since you have been out of their sight for about two months now.

Setting the cup down, you turned to look at Ronan, who was urging you to follow the order with his eyes. "Alright," you sighed, "Send word to my parents that I'll return within a week. No more, no less. You know that I keep my words." Ronan nods, and seeing as you had a serious look, he trusts that you'll do as you had just said and excuses himself to go write the letter.

You turn away from the door to the wet landscape outside. You only had a week left with Kaeya and you were determined to spend every second of it with him.

"Kaeya!" You waved eagerly at the Cavalry Captain, gaining his attention by the loud yet enthusiastic call of his name. "(Y/N), good morning. It was a shame that yesterday was pouring," he said, a smile on his face. "Give me a moment and I'll be with you." You nod and see him walk to a knight and talked to them in a serious and ordering tone before going back to you. "Alright, I'm all yours for today."

You smiled at his words. It was just the two of you today, without your butler, Ronan, as you had ordered him to stay at Diluc's mansion. You wanted to spend the remaining days with Kaeya alone before returning home. "You know, I haven't met your cousin yet; I'm starting to think you don't have a cousin in Mondstadt," Kaeya said, strolling beside you.

"You don't believe me? Well, that's understandable since he is busy- both during the day and night," you said, "But, believe me, I do have a cousin and he is working at a tavern."

"Oh? At a tavern? That's interesting," Kaeya said. The day was fill with fun- eating, strolling both inside and outside of the city, hearing bards sing, and more eating. Kaeya is surprised that you could take so much food in and had asked if you were from Liyue instead, considering their iron stomachs.

The blue sky started to change to a mix of orange, yellow, and red as the sun started to set behind the cathedral of Mondstadt. That's when you realized that you had forgotten to tell Kaeya something important. "Um, Kaeya, thank you for guiding me around Mondstadt through my time here," you started off, getting the blue-haired male a quizzical stare at you. When he didn't say anything, you took it as to continue. "I'm returning to Fontaine by the end of this week."

There was silence on the receiving end of the conversation as darkness cast over at Kaeya's eyes. He had known that you won't be staying forever, but he didn't think it would be this month that you were leaving. I mean, there was probably still chaos that you wanted to get away from as he had calculated that the traveller- who is always causing something- had probably not yet reached the hydro region to fix it.

"I see."

You started to worry if he was unhappy but when he turned his head to the to stare at you, he was smiling. "Well, then, we should spend this week together as much, no?" He half-heartedly and forcibly laughs. You forced yourself to lightly chuckles as well, feeling already sad that you had to depart from your friend.

When you returned to Diluc's place, you find him sitting on a sofa in the living room, reading a book as he drinks his grape juice. "Diluc!" You came from behind and leaned over the sofa, wrapping your arms lazily around his neck. "I heard that you're leaving this week from your butler," he said, setting down his drink. "Mhm, so, will you spend at least a day with me?" You stare at his side profile.

"I'll set aside time in the morning tomorrow," he said. A smile appeared on your lips and you were beaming with excitement. You did spend time with Diluc throughout the month and something weeks but it wasn't as often which made you a bit sad. But, when he says he is free, you would take the opportunity to hang out with him. "You better keep your word," you said. Diluc knows how serious you are about keeping promises and so was he. He nods slightly before telling you to rest up otherwise you two won't have time to hang out tomorrow morning.

When the sun's light started to peek through the little gaps between the curtains, you were already up and ready to go. Diluc, on the other hand, was still asleep and you had to pull him out of bed. "(Y/N), it's barely six in the morning.."

"Hey, you said that we're going to hang out all morning and I'm not wasting a single second!" You tug on your cousin's arm. After a few more minutes, the fiery-haired male finally got up, telling you to leave the room as he changes his clothes.

You two skipped breakfast at home to eat breakfast outside, on your wishes, of course. You two strolled around and bought some things that caught your eyes for you to take home to Fontaine. "(Y/N), you don't need that," Diluc said for the nth time at another souvenir you had found that was sitting perfectly in the middle of Marjorie's store. "But, Diluc, I want to remember all the things in Mondstadt!" you said.

"You can always come back to visit Mondstadt," he states. "Yeah, in a couple of years.." you mumbled, pouting as he drags you away from the window. "As long as you can visit again and not be locked up inside some tower, you'll be fine with just a couple of souvenirs," Diluc said. You were a bit careless with mora and that's something Diluc caught up on when reading your letters sent from Fontaine and wanted you to stop spending so much of your father's money.

You didn't hide your sulking expression that Diluc would take time to figure it out. In the distance, to the direction you two were walking, Flora was at her usual spot, selling flowers to those who passed by. He thought it would be better to buy something meaningful like a flower bloomed only in Mondstadt rather than souvenirs of artifacts that can be found across Teyvat. He drags you by the hand to Flora's stall. "Hello there, mister. Do you care to buy a flower for the lovely person beside you?" the little girl asks with her usual, happy smile.

"Yes. Do you have a flower especially from Mondstadt?" he asks. Flora nods. "I have cecilia flowers which can only be found in Mondstadt's Starsnatch Cliff; a perfect flower to represent Mondstadt for travellers that comes from another part of Teyvat," she answers enthusiastically. Diluc agrees to buy a flower and hands it to you, who was busy looking at food from a far away stall.

"(Y/N)." You turn your attention to Diluc who held a single cecilia flower. "Instead of artifacts, why not have a flower?" A small smile appears on his face, a genuine one at that. You stare at the flower in his hands and returned him a smile of your own. "Aw, you should smile more often," you said and pulled on his face, stretching it to make his smile bigger, although at this point he's smile is that of a forced one and he looked annoyed more than anything.

You giggled and let go of his now reddened cheeks before accepting the flower. "I should be going now," Diluc suddenly says, "I'll see you at home; you better be home by then, understand?" You chuckled but nodded at his commanding voice before shoeing him away.

The morning was enjoyable on your part, but what about the Cavalry Captain who stood just a few feet behind you? A shadow loomed over him as he had just seen the intimate gestures you and Diluc had with a smile on your face he had never thought to see for another person. When did you two ever meet up, he asked himself. It was probably when he wasn't around.

He was about to greet you when a familiar red-head entered his line of sight with cecilia in hand, giving it to you with a smile that he had thought that was long gone.

Kaeya had to find out so he put on a perfected, fake smile that was scarier than any other smiles a person could see in a lifetime. "(Y/N)!" He calls out, getting your attention away from Diluc's disappearing figure and to him.

A smile tugged on your face when you see who had just called you. "Kaeya, I was about to go look for you!" you said as he walks closer to you. "Oh, really?" he asks, knowing that you had just parted away from someone else not too long ago. You nodded, not knowing the hidden venom in his tone. Kaeya was most ticked off when you nodded but then see the cecilia. "Oh? Did someone buy you that?" he asked innocently as if he hadn't just seen Diluc give you the flower.

"Yeah, how did you know?" you ask in pure surprise and awe. "Lucky guess," he lied, "So, care to tell me who bought you this?" His eyes were cold and you were completely unaware.

Your eyes softened and smile gently when you thought of who everyone thought of as cold giving you a flower. "Someone dear to me," you answered. Kaeya felt something foreign well up in his chest. It felt as if it was squeezing his heart to pieces. How could Diluc be someone already so dear to you when you had just arrived in Mondstadt. He wanted to ask, believe me, but he had to hold himself from asking since your love life wasn't something he should be concerned with and reminded himself that you'll leave the city soon enough so there couldn't possibly be something between you and himself.

You pulled him along and enjoyed the rest of the day. When the sky was dark enough to see the stars and moon, it was time to part for the day. You part ways with him at the fountain in the center of the city, but instead of going back home, Kaeya followed you in secret.

He had followed you to Angel's Share- where Diluc was at- and watched as you entered the busy tavern. It was clear to him that something was up between the two of you so he stayed, hidden around the corner of a building that had a perfect view of the door to the tavern. It took hours of just standing there until you had left the tavern with Diluc, chatting something amongst you two and laughing about it. Then, Kaeya notices that you had your arm wrapped around his as you both headed out of the city's walls.

The next day, Kaeya had watched you intensely, waiting for something to happen. You caught on but didn't want to say anything about it to only feel awkward later. Slowly, you reached your arms out to an item that the stall you two were at had to offer. "(Y/N), mind if I ask you something?" he asked in a tone that made your skin jump. "A-ah, sure. What is it?" You were honestly afraid and worried about what he was going to ask since he was practically emitting his cryo vision around him.

"I had been wondering, do you perhaps stay somewhere outside of the city? I always see you leaving the gate when we part," he said, lying about the part that he always sees you leaving; he just found out yesterday when he saw you with Diluc.

"Ah, yes, I am. Is there something wrong about it?" you answered honestly. It was about it that Kaeya could stop himself from asking as he part his lips to utter the words he'd been dying to say. "(Y/N)?" A voice that both knew all too perfectly well caught the attention of both of them. Diluc.

"Diluc!" you eagerly call. Diluc looks to Kaeya who stood behind you, his eyes narrowed at the sight of Kaeya. "Kaeya, what are you doing here?" he asks in a dark, almost growling, tone. "You know Kaeya, Diluc?" you asked, surprised that neither told you of the other.

"You could say that," Kaeya asks, a smirk growing on his lips. It was time for his answer to be revealed. "So, (Y/N), who--.." You caught Kaeya off with full of excitement. "Wow, this is perfect then!" you say. "Kaeya, this is my cousin, Diluc! See, I didn't lie when I said I have a cousin in Mondstadt."

Kaeya's shadowy gaze lighten up as he heard the words leave from your very own mouth. "Cousins..?" he repeats, processing the familiar word in his mind. "Mhm, that's right."

Kaeya's heart lightened up and felt kind of ashamed that he didn't think of another possibility to your relationship with Diluc even though you said that the only other person you knew here was your cousin thus wouldn't be out with anybody else.

"Safe travels, (Y/N)," Diluc says warmly. "Thank you for your hospitality," you thanked with a smile. Then, you realized you had forgotten to do one last thing. "Oh, right! I still need to say goodbye to Kaeya!" you said out loud. "Well, I'll be going to the city before I go back. Make sure to read the letters I send and to write back, okay?" Diluc nods and see you out.

"Ronan, let me visit Kaeya before going to Fontaine," you said. Ronan complies to your wishes since it was the day of the departure after all.

When you entered within the city's wall, your eyes immediately started to look for Kaeya. After a while, you still couldn't find him and thought that he was out on a mission. It saddens you but you decided to wait until he comes back since you'd hate it if the person you know leaves without a goodbye.

A few more hours passes by and you lit up when you see Kaeya entering the city. "Kaeya!" Kaeya turns to you, surprised that you were still loitering around when you should be leaving.

"(Y/N), what are you still doing in Mondstadt? I thought you left.." his words trailing to a whisper on the second half. He was happy that you were still around and knew why you haven't departed yet.

You wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled him closer, leaning your head against his chest. Kaeya's face reddened at the sudden action. "(Y-Y/N), you.." The Cavalry Captain couldn't think of anything to say as he was still busy being flustered at the hug. You smiled and took this chance to kiss his cheeks and moved away from him to take a better look.

"I- Why did you kiss me?" He was getting redder by the second as he placed his hand on the cheek you had kissed. "It's the way the people of Fontaine bids farewell," you said with a cheeky smile. Kaeya regains his calm exterior, but his heart was still pounding rapidly in his chest. "I'll be writing to you when I arrive at Fontaine so you better write back, okay?" He smiles and nods, bidding you farewell.

It was the first visit in a while and the first encounter with him. But, you both clearly could tell that something could be developed between the two of you and maybe in your next visit, either will take action for it.

No one in Mondstadt has ever known that Diluc- the cold and expressionless man- had a surviving family and for a reason; they live all the way at the hydro region, Fontaine, and the last visit was at least more than 10 years ago.

Diluc had been exchanging letters with them throughout the years though and although not completely knowing each little secret of the other's, family blood is what made the two stay put in each other's heart.

The sound of hooves trotting was getting louder from the distance and servants of Master Diluc looked up from their works in curiosity. The carriage was intricately designed- from the shape to its little silver linings- but foreign to what Mondstadt know as carriage.

Other than the coachman, a man stepped out from the carriage. He was well dressed in foreign clothing. But, instead of walking up to any of the servants, he waited at the side. Was there someone in there?

Just as the thought passed through each servants, another came out of the carriage. This one was dressed much fancier than the man and everyone could tell that they were of that in higher status than they were.

The mysterious person looked around before their gem-like eyes landed on the servants. They approached them calmly but the servants were on edge.

"Where is Diluc?" were the first words the person had asked. The person were looking at each other before a maid had spoken up-- most likely the head maid since their clothing was a tad different than the others.

"I'm sorry, but Master Diluc is out today," she answered. Her form was strict and firm, confirming that she was the head maid.

"So, where is he?" they asked once more. The head maid was confused, had this person not understood what she said? "He may not be here, yes, but I'm sure you know where he is."

The head maid was hesitant but comply to answer, "He is in the city as of now. If you so wish, I will inform Master Diluc that a person was looking for them."

"Eh? Really? Then I guess I'll wait here.." The head maid noted that this person was not someone to anger-- oh how she is praying to the Anemo Archon for her master to hurry. "Then would you like--.."

"What's going on here?" A familiar voice lifted the invisible weight of the maid. "Master Diluc, this person is looking for you."

"Hm? An uninvited guest? Well, sorry to inform you this, but I'm not meeting with anyone today. Please come again another time," Diluc said sternly.

The person was silent which confused Diluc. Then, "Are you really going to say that to me?" the person said and turned around with a grin. "Long time no see, Diluc."

"(Y-Y/N)? What are you doing here? I was not informed of your arrival," Diluc says with wide eyes of surprise.

"Hm? I'm sure I've mentioned it in the last letter.." you put a finger over your mouth, thinking about the last letter. "Oh, I must've forgotten, whoopsies." You stick out your tongue and lightly knock your head.

Diluc sighs and had ordered a couple servants to prepare a room for you. "I'm assuming you'd be staying for a while," he says and looks at you.

You nodded happily. "How have you been?" you say and walk beside him, looking at him from the corner of your eyes. "Okay. How about you?" You looked away from him and answered that you have been good as well, but just that there were things going on in Fontaine that made you travel all the way to Mondstadt. "Oh, you told me about the traveller in one of your letters-- are they still in Mondstadt?" you ask excitedly.

"They had left a couple of weeks ago. I believe they are in Liyue as of now," he answered which made you a bit sad. Being a vision user of hydro, you were curious how someone could have obtain an element without one.

"It's been a long travel, I assume," Diluc says as soon as you both got to the foot of what will be your room. "You rest well."

You nod. "Will you be free tomorrow? I want to go see the city with you," you say. "I'm afraid that I can't accompany you tomorrow but I'll have someone guide you throughout the city."

"Thank you, but I'll be fine with Ronan," you said to witch he nods and excused himself so you can rest.

"So, this is Mondstadt!?" You gazed around with an obvious awe. It had been so long that you had forgotten what it looked like. The wind blow pass gently and the atmosphere was very lively.

You roamed the place and caused many to look at you oddly but you were too busy running around to notice-- except your butler, who is having a hard time trying to catch up with you.

"Ronan, hurry up! We don't have all day." You turned to look at the old man with excitement. "I'm sorry for delaying you," Ronan says and caught up to you. Ronan had never seen you so excited before and he had guessed it was because you had finally gotten away from the mess at Fontaine. But, he was happy as well since he had never seen his master so free.

After hours of roaming, you finally gotten tired and wanted to grab lunch. You sat down outside of some restuarant and told Ronan to order food for you. "Um, you want me to order the whole menu? Are you sure?" Ronan asks, sweat dropping. You nodded and told him that you wanted to try all of Mondstadt's foods. Ronan excused himself from your presence and went to order.

You looked around and found the fourth bard today. "Mondstadt has a lot of bards.." you say to no one in particular. You were thinking of bringing one home to Fontaine, but you want the best bard.

"Agreed. Are you thinking of bringing one home?" An unfamiliar voice spooked you from behind and you looked over your shoulder to see a man with an eyepatch. His hair was a long blue that was tied and wore fur as a decoration on his shoulder. But, what got you curious was his eye.

"Um, who are you?" you ask, eyes following his every movement to him sitting down in front of you. "Kaeya," he answers, crossing his legs and arms. "I've heard that a foreigner has been running around today. Might that be you?"

"I guess? How often does Mondstadt have travellers coming?" you ask in pure curiosity. Kaeya chuckles. "Often, but mostly for the wine here," he answers and put his face on the back of his hands, leaning closer to you. "So, where did you come from?"

"From Fontaine," you answered. "Oh? That's quite the travel then. What made you come all the way to Mondstadt? Surely it isn't because of the wine," he asks, a light flickering pass his eye.

"You're right. I came here to visit my cousin." Just the thought of Diluc made you smile. "But he's busy today so I came to look for myself."

Ronan soon came back to your side. "Sorry for the wait, they had said that they will bring it over shortly," he said and you nodded. "Um, sorry for my rudeness, but may I ask who this man is?" Ronan looks at Kaeya.

"Oh, I don't know who he is either. He introduced himself as Kaeya," you said. Ronan pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing. This occurred quite often back in Fontaine; someone random just casually walks and chats with you in public. Ronan warned you not to talk to other that is irrelevant but you don't listen. "It's fine. I think he's a nice person," you say and turned around to talk to Kaeya.

"Oh~ so it seems that you're someone not to be messed with," Kaeya said, eyeing Ronan. Ronan- despite his age- can fight as if he was in his prime life and Kaeya could see that. You two chatted throughout your lunch and parted not long after. When the two of you did, it was only then that Kaeya noticed that he hadn't gotten your name.

It was the second day of you touring Mondstadt and getting odd eyes from people. This time, you went near the cathedral to hear a certain bard sing. "Ronan, Ronan! Look, at that bard." You pull on your butler's sleeves repeatedly. "Yes, I am looking," Ronan said, tired at this point.

"Ah, just the person I was hoping to run into," a voice from the distance spoke and you and Ronan turned to your left to see Kaeya. "Mister Kaeya, hello!" you greeted enthusiastically.

"Are you interested in the bard?" he asks as he faced the short bard in green. "Yeah, I think he's way better than the other ones I've heard so far, even though it's a first that I've heard bards sing."

Kaeya stood silent for a while as if he was thinking of something. Then, "It's about lunch time, is it not? Want to grab a bite with me? There's a place that you probably haven't went to yet that serves good local food," Kaeya said to which you hurriedly nod your head.

When you got there, the smell was so strong that it made your stomach growl. "Haha, and here I thought that the food you ordered yesterday was enough for a week," Kaeya laughs. He ordered a couple of Mondstadt's most served food and both of you went to find a seat.

You chatted about the most randomness of things and also about you and the place you grew up in. It was quite the company, you admit. It would truly be sad if you left to go home anytime soon.

You had gotten to know Kaeya quite well throughout the two weeks you had spent with him and even consider him a friend. He was secretive at times which makes you question him but never pushed that thought.

"Ronan, I am your master, so you must obey me," you said and cross your arm. Ronan had pushed you to finally go home but you outright refused before he finished saying anything.

"Yes, I apologize for angering you," he said, putting a hand over his heart and bowing deeply. You had come to love Mondstadt and Ronan feared that you will never go home and stay with Kaeya thus was making a fuss of returning home to Fontaine, albeit he was happy that you finally get to rest from the chaos in Fontaine.

"You're forgiven. Now, let's go find Kaeya!" You walked away in your normal, speedy walk, excited to see Kaeya. After a while of searching, you couldn't find him anywhere in the usual spots. "Ronan, did Mister Kaeya say that he'd be somewhere today?"

"He did not. Perhaps he's busy today," answered Ronan which disappointed you. "Well, I guess we'll have to go bother Diluc today.." And that's what you did for today. When Diluc said that he'd take a day off for you at some point, you declined, saying that you were okay and that you met a person to company you while he was off at work, but now that Kaeya was not around, you thought that it was time to take him up on his word.

It wasn't until tomorrow that you finally got to meet up with Kaeya who excused himself as he was out on a short-notice mission.

"Did you miss me that much?" he asks, chuckling a bit. You nodded. "Yeah, I did. But, don't worry about yesterday; I still had my share of fun," you said in earnest. Kaeya was a bit caught off guard with how honest you had spoken but soon regained the smirk that everyone knows, and is either in love with or scared of. "My, you are quite honest," Kaeya points out. "You should be careful, (Y/N)."

"Hm? I'm not following you, Mister Kaeya," you said, "But if you mean that I can't handle myself, I'm a vision user as well so I can defend myself." You show him a determined fist and fiery eyes. Kaeya chuckles at your silly gesture. "That's not what I meant and could you drop the mister? Don't you think we can consider ourselves friends?" he says.

"Friends..?" The word you've heard multiple times out of other people's mouth, yet still foreign to you that Kaeya can practically see your gears churn inside your head. Then, "I've never had friends so will you be my first friend?" you ask. Kaeya smiles and reaches an arm across the table and ruffles your hair. "I'd love to."

║Kaeya║A Cold War

You two had been at it for quite some time now. The war between you and the Cavalry Captain, Kaeya, didn't look like it was going to end any time soon. "Honestly, this has gone for far too long that it's silly at this point," Lisa sighs, watching the two of you from afar. "When are they going to make up?" Jean, who stood beside the librarian, nodded in agreement.

You and Kaeya had crossed paths in front of the fountain in the centre of the city one fateful morning. Snarling and angry at the sight of the male, you turned around with a huff and walked away. Although he was your captain, you two clearly showed a much stronger relationship than commander and knight; you two were friends until the fight two weeks ago.

Kaeya sighs at your retreating figure and walked over to the two, tall females who he had noticed was watching. "Good morning," he greets, a hand raised and a smile on his face. "Kaeya, when are you two going to talk?" Lisa asks, a concerned expression on her face.

He shrugs, pretending not to care of the matter. "Who knows?" he simply say. "Anyway, if that's all you're going to talk about, I'd rather get going with my missions." The Cavalry Captain walks away without letting either of the two say anything. Lisa sighs at the retreating captain. "Both of them really are like couple in quarrel," she states, resting her cheeks on her hands. "I find it very cute." Lisa keeps going on about how you two acted like a couple even though you two obviously weren't. Jean looks over at the witch with dismay and shook her head.

You and Kaeya really showed the citizens of Mondstadt of how you two were at war at each other. Kaeya had started to become a grouch and cold while you were fuming with a fit of anger and it showed in everything you do- from training and wiping out hilichurls to simply eating and easy chores.

"We should get (Y/N) to do something else right now, rather than let them wait for Kaeya's orders," Jean says, knowing that even if Kaeya got a mission for you, you won't even listen to him and go do your own thing. It was also bad for you to linger around the city and throw passionate anger into everything you do as citizens reports how an underling of the Cavalry Captain is scaring away people- be it customers or the people themselves.

You were heading off to the training area to train even more. Although you were kind of sore from training from morning till night yesterday, it didn't keep you from training today so that you can make the blue-haired male take back the words he said to you two weeks ago. "You're not capable in doing these alone!" The words rung repeatedly in your head and made you even more angrier, but mostly saddened.

As much as you appreciate Kaeya's concern of your safety, it can sometimes make you question your worth. What are you good for if you are basically told to sit back and do nothing? That's not why you became a knight in the first place; you wanted to seek thrill while protecting the citizens of Mondstadt and you won't improve if he tells you to slack off.

"(Y/N)," a voice calls from behind you, stopping you on your way to the training grounds. You turned around to see the Acting Grand Master with a couple sheets of paper. You guessed it was most likely missions for you. "Are these tasks?" you ask, no sign of hostility in your tone as you spoke with the blonde.

"Yes, we're short of hands right now and was hoping you could take a look at them," she said and hands you over the papers. It is true that since the Grand Master took most of the knights, there aren't a lot of knights left in the city. But, the tasks given to you can be given to any other knights at any time; Jean just wants to help you clear your mind. "Okay, I will. Thank you!" A flare of determination and excitement reflected your hyped tone.

Jean smiles before waving bye and getting to her own things. You look at the papers in hand, seeing that some would take longer than others, but can still be done all today. Not caring to read the full details, you headed to the locations written and wipe out any and all enemies.

In the end, you did clear them all and felt really proud of yourself that you managed to do all tasks alone. You kind of wanted to boast at Kaeya's face but you were too prideful let that happen.

You were making your way inside the city, now late at night, feeling even more sore than yesterday. Although it was hurting you, it felt rewarding since you haven't done this much moving around under Kaeya's orders.

When you got home, you went straight to your bedroom, rather than eating dinner and washing up. You felt the stinging soreness wash over your body when you were taking of your shirt. "Ack!" You immediately lower your arms as a reaction to the pain. "I should deal with this.." you mumbled. You decided to deal with it tomorrow since you don't have the energy to do so tonight.

The next day, you went to the training field, albeit still sore from two days worth of strained movements. The pain really made you question if you had done anything at all to contribute to the Knights of Favonius; you see the Acting Grand Master put her all into everything and the build up of stress and strain on her, Outrider Amber running around and helping anyone who she comes across and scouting areas around Mondstadt, and even the traveller from some place else is doing something much greater such as helping Dvalin, but what about you? You felt miserable.

You headed to the Knights of Favonius' headquarters to see if Jean could give you some missions for today. You knocked on the door lightly and entered when you hear a quick and muffled 'come in'. "Good morning. Sorry to bother you this early in the morning, Acting Grand Master," you started, closing the door behind you. "I was wondering if you could give me any more tasks?"

Jean looks up from her work and smiled. "Ah, (Y/N), good morning," she says. "I heard you came back late last night. Did I give you too much to work?" You shook your head immensely. "No, no, it's just the trips that made it long."

"I see. Well, I don't have any missions right now.. Why don't you see Kaeya and ask if he has any for you?" Jean says nonchalantly as she discreetly adds, pretending she doesn't know what is going on between you and him. Your head slightly drops at the mention of his name. You didn't want to go to him- not now, at least. "Ah, he probably doesn't have any either. It's fine, I'll do some training on my own," you said and left the headquarters.

When you said that you'll train on your own, you mean to go search for some dangers that will help you improve. You still are feeling sore all over but dismiss it. You did, however, applied some essential oil to help relieve your muscle pain and thought that that alone would help. You headed out of the city's wall and looked for some tough opponents.

Kaeya's eyes narrowed as he saw you leaving through the gates, a worrisome feeling in his guts, but he wasn't going to let that feeling in the pit of his stomach get to him. He felt that he was in the right and that you were too stubborn. Your stubbornness and prideful personality made him really irritated, but he felt sad that you two didn't get to chat like before.

He shrugs his shoulders and went to bother anyone who he sees- most likely Diluc, who was at Angel's Share at the moment.

Nightfall started to set in and you hadn't returned- no sightings of you ever walking around the streets since thos morning. Kaeya wasn't aware of this since he thought you were home like he had always expected of you. It wasn't until the next day when he was summoned to the headquarters by Jean that he knew of your absence since yesterday. "Hey, what did you call me for?" Kaeya says, his usual, playful smirk on his face. However, that fell when he saw Jean and Lisa's expression and feel the atmosphere of the room. "What is it now?" His stomach started to churn in an awful feeling and only one thing was on his mind- you.

"It's about (Y/N)," Jean starts off, making Kaeya starting to feel even worse. "A ruin guard has been found awoken near the Thousand Wind Temple by someone in the Adventurers Guild and no one has seen (Y/N) since yesterday morning. I have a feeling that they are the one who woken it up."

Upon hearing the news, he clenches his fists and his jaws tightened, a shadowed cast over his face as he narrowed his eyes. But, "What does this have to do with me?" he asks coldly. Lisa and Jean looks over at each other with a concerned expression. "Kaeya--" Lisa started off but was immediately caught of by the male.

"They said that they can handle anything so shouldn't you two put some faith in them as well?" he said, raising his voice in anger, recalling what you said to him two weeks ago. "Kaeya, I am aware of the fight you two had but this has honestly gone for far too long that it's silly," Jean says in a calm tone. "Isn't the reason why you don't allow them on dangerous missions is because you care about them?" This hit Kaeya and he hang his head low. It was true that he cares about you deeply and doesn't show the same feeling to anybody else but you.

He imagined scenarios of situations you could be in right now and it made that feeling inside him snap. He turns around and storms off, shutting the door with a boom.

Praying. He was praying to the Archons of your safety as he feels something went trailing down his face from his eyes. It was blurring his vision but he ignores them, running through the darken day.

When he reached to the location of the sightings, he found the ruin guard, awake and walking, but no signs of you. He quickly disposed of the ruin guard and searched the area for you or anything that was on you that dropped that might give him some hope.

A few metres away, there your body lie on the cold ground. "(Y/N)!" Kaeya runs over to your side and felt his heart dropped to the pit of his stomach. You were all bruised up along with scratches and blood that was either still running from open wounds or had already dried up. Your eyes were closed and he worried for the worse. Rushing to kneel beside you, heb helped you sit up against a rock, putting his hands under your chin to feel for a pulse. To his relief, he found it beating and pulled your body into his chest, one hand behind your head as the other wrapped around your shoulders. "(Y/N)," he whispers your name, his heart feeling lighter.

Your eyes slowly opens from the sudden warmth that engulfed you. "Nngh!" The moment your mind became conscious, the pain from the battle and the soreness from training before suddenly rushed all over your body. "Ack!"

Kaeya immediately pulls away from you, his face full of worry. "(Y/N), are you okay?" he asks. You look at Kaeya with surprise. "Why.. Are you here?" There was no anger in your tone as you were too exhausted. "I came looking for you, dummy. Now, let me take you back so ease up." You gave a quick nod and closed your eyes, falling into another sleep. Making sure you were asleep, he stood up with you in his arms and made his way back inside the city.

He went to see Barbara in the cathedral so that she could heal you. "My, they're badly injured! Hurry, bring them here," she exclaims with a hand over her mouth at the sight of your badly figure and gestures towards the infirmary. Kaeya listened and places you on one of the beds inside and let her do her thing.

She left as soon as she healed any and all visible, major wounds. Kaeya sits down on the wooden chair beside the bed and waits for you to wake up. You were asleep all throughout the day and only woken up the next morning.

You felt something at the side of you and you slowly turned your head but hissed at the sudden pain, closing your eyes in reaction. Although it lessened thanks to Barbara, the pain didn't fully go away.

Once it subsided, you open your eyes to see whatever was beside you. To your surprise, it was Kaeya. His arms were crossed on top of the bed and rested his head on top of it, sleeping with his lips slightly parted. Your heart warmed and remembered the little scene when he hugged your bruised body.

It looked like he slept late and didn't even bother to comb his hair- meaning to say, he didn't go home and return early in the morning. In that moment, you let your pride down as well as forgave him for what he said two weeks ago. You weakly reached your arms out and tucked a strand of his unkempt hair behind his ear.

You suddenly remembered the reason why you two fought in the first place- you went out to a dungeon, alone, on a mission that you secretly accepted without the help of the Cavalry Captain. It was a simple wiping out of a hilichurl camp but there was no knowledge of an abyss image nearby since it wasn't written on the report.

When Kaeya received word you left on a mission, he was upset and immediately left to find you. He found you soon enough, wiping out hilichurls. His eyes looked off to behind you and see a cryo abyss mage. "(Y/N)!" he warned. You turned to look at him and that's when the abyss image shot an ice crystal. It hit your left arm and you roared in pain. Kaeya quickly made due of the image and quickly rushed to check your wound.

"What were you thinking- going out on a mission alone!?" he angrily asked, gripping your upper arm. "Kaeya, you're hurting me!" you hissed.

"I told you time and time again that you should tell me when you're going out!" he said, raising his voice. "I was doing just--"

"Just fine!? You were hit by an abyss mage, goddamit!"

"It's just a scratch--" He cuts you off again, his tone now booming with anger. "Yeah, it's just a scratch, but what about the next time you go out alone? You could be heavily wounded or even worse!" He wasn't listening to a word you said and the grip on you looked like it wasn't loosening anytime soon.

"Kaeya, would you just listen to me!?" you shouted back in the same volume and tone as his. "I am more than capable as a knight to wipe a few hilichurls and an abyss mage!"

His anger didn't subside but he let's go of your arms, head down as a shadow casted over his face. "So, that's how this is going to be, huh? Alright, then I'll leave you be. See if I care." The words broke your heart. Kaeya turned around and left you there with your head down. That was the last time you guys talked to each other before the cold war.

He groans at the touch, making your heart flutter. Then, you see his visible eyelids open slowly, revealing his unique, blue eyes. He straightened up in his seat with a loud yawn before looking over at you. "(Y/N)..!" he says your name, his visible eye showing surprise.

"Good morning," you weakly greet, a gentle smile tugging your lips. A few short seconds passed before he quickly draws you into an intoxicating embrace. This man is rarely ever sleeping in bed at night

He’s either working late nights at Angel’s Share, or fulfilling his duties at the Dark Knight Hero

So when he has came home early in the morning to see you still sleeping, blankets wrapped around you, he had a good idea that he would be better off bringing his own blankets.

On nights where he does lay beside you to go to sleep, you two always cuddle up underneath the covers.

And Diluc always wakes up in the middle of the night because of the cold air

To which he just sighs, reaches down to get the spare blankets, and drapes them over himself before going back to sleep

He’s a man that adapts to situations, and this is no different

Sometimes when he wakes up, he just stares in wonder and confusion at how you even managed to get the blankets wrapped around you so tight

He’s almost convinced that you do it on purpose sometimes just to annoy him

He secretly finds it adorable though. He’s a stoic man with a soft heart.

He goes right back to cuddling you too with a sigh of annoyance once he’s situated with his own blankets

Kaeya

This man smirks and tries not to laugh

He has photos on his Kamera of you hogging the blankets in the most inhumane positions ever

With your protests being ignored, he wraps the blankets around the both of you and goes to sleep

Although there have been nights where he has gotten slightly annoyed that you took the blankets away from him for the fifth time within the past hour

During those times, he’s tempted to keep the blankets in place with ice

He actually did that one time, which you had to explain to him that that’s counterproductive cause now it’s extra cold in the room

He just shrugged, “At least now you get to feel what I feel dearest, now, come here and let me cuddle you for warmth. Maybe then you’ll leave the blankets alone, hm?”

Ever the gentleman, he’ll let you have the blankets

He doesn’t want to disturb you from your sleep, you look so peaceful

He instead settles on cuddling close to you for warmth

On a particularly cold night at sea, he woke up shivering

He tried to slowly wedge the blanket out from under you, but ultimately ended up waking you up

He smiled at you before apologizing, “I’m sorry my love, I didn’t mean to wake you, please go back to sleep. I’ll be right here when you wake up once more,”

You felt so bad, especially with how you saw him shivering like a leaf in a harsh storm

Since that night, you made it an effort to tuck him into bed first to ensure the blankets stayed on him

Beidou teases you both for it ever since she accidentally walked in on you tucking him in one night

During a conversation when Beidou was teasing you guys about it, he just smiled at her before stating, “I’m just grateful that that’s all you walked in on us doing.”

Cue a spit take from Beidou and her cackling like a madman

You had to walk away from the shear amount of ignominy you felt coursing through your system

Kazuha just gave a soft grin as he watched you walk away

Yae Miko

Early into the relationship, she would have gently woken you up and asked for the blankets back

Then she would cuddle in close to keep you from moving around so much

If you kept taking the blankets, then she would zap you till you gave them up

Not in a harmful way, but just enough to make it tickle

She’ll have you in tears from laughing until you’ve learned your lesson

She also just loves your laugh but don’t tell anyone that

Later into the relationship, once she knows she can truly trust you, she’ll sleep on the bed with you in her fox form

At that point, you can hog all of the blankets if you’d like to. Her fox form keeps her warm enough

She’ll snuggle up to you in her sleep, her tail and ears flickering every now and then

DOESN’T GO TO YOUR OFFICE — diluc

when you first told DILUC that you'll start working at home from now on, he was relieved. ever since the announcement of a certain virus that's been infecting everyone like wildfire, the man could only worry about your safety – especially since your workplace has so much people – so now that you're officially working at home, he can now rest peacefully.

as someone who respects privacy and silence, diluc makes sure to not be noisy outside, including not vacuuming in front of your office and wouldn't put the volume on the tv to the max (im sorry but hes honestly the type to make his tv loud just to have a bg noise), which you appreciate a lot. though you wonder if he forgot the fact that your office is sound-proof.

he also doesn't want to go to your office, mainly because he doesn't want to be seen by your nosy colleagues and because he simply doesn't want to disturb your meetings with his presence. it's like the tables have been turned around the both of you since back then, you're the one who didn't want to interrupt with his work.

sometimes when he feels like it, diluc would send you a text message and ask if you'd like him to bring a drink or snack to your office. if you said yes, expect yourself to hear a few knocks one second after you sent your message. turns out, he was actually supposed to come in to your office unannounced with your drink and snacks but decided to text you first because of his conscience bothering him. it'll take months before he'll actually start visiting your office without having to text you that's a lie, he'll never do it.

LOVES YOUR BOSS MOMENTS — childe, kaeya

the moment you informed CHILDE that you’ll be working at home, he was honestly curious to see how you work. are you the type to scold many of your coworkers in a scary manner? are you the fun and chill type that made your coworkers love you? ah, so many questions !!

eventually his curiosity was lifted when he overheard you while he was cleaning outside your office, causing him to stop cleaning for a moment to hear what you're saying to your colleagues, listening to you destroying your coworker for something they’re trying to bring you down from.

it only increased his love for you because wow, who knew you would be such a boss at your job? don’t get him wrong, he very much knows how great you are — it just astounds him since you’re so closed off about your work ! childe could only smile from just imagining how scared his old subordinates would be if you were a part of his organization.

KAEYA would be happy that you no longer have to go out to your crowded workplace and risk your health anymore when you told him. he feels even more unease when it comes to your safety since there’s been a virus that’s been causing so much trouble for everyone, so now that you’ll stay home until it’s considered safe to go out, kaeya can live happily.

unlike childe, kaeya only gets to see your angry side when your coworkers didn’t do their job and would think wow, you're so cute when you're angry as if he hasn't seen you being mad at him at all. he doesn’t even have to go near your office to hear your angry voice because he can simply hear it from where he is (given that unlike diluc’s, your office isn't sound-proof).

during those times when you're mad, kaeya will make sure to help you calm down after the meeting. he'll either stop by your office to give you a snack and drink or cuddle with you until your next meeting starts. if you're into sweet-talk, then kaeya's the right person for you, expect him to start telling you sweet-nothings in your ear and do everything he can to make you smile or make your cheeks feel warmer than a stove.

as much as kaeya adores your boss moments, he doesn't like how you're too busy with your work because of your piled up works to do. whenever you sometimes overwork yourself from the amount of work you've been given, your lover will make sure to make you take breaks every now and then by dragging you out from your office and spend time with him even if it takes a few minutes. you may be cute but not when you're stressed and overworked >:00 !!

VISITS YOUR OFFICE TO GIVE YOU FOOD — thoma, zhongli

when THOMA finds out that you'll start doing your work at home, he beams. mainly because you don't have to get out from your home and risk your health and definitely not because he misses you a lot.

he would often find himself at the kitchen daily even more than before, trying out snack recipes that he thinks you’d like as taroumaru watches from afar, eating his dog treat happily as always. if he deems the said snack worthy, then thoma will immediately take it away to your office and give it to you with taroumaru following.

however, unlike the rest of the househusbands besides diluc and scaramouche, thoma wouldn't be seen by your colleagues since he makes sure that he's not seen in your screen – whether it'd be going behind your laptop and place the food beside your things, or stay a few steps away from you and just give you a thumbs up before rushing off outside to not disturb you anymore.

whenever you're done with your meetings, you always have your favorite choice of drink waiting outside with your lover and dog watching a movie or resting while waiting for you to finish. expect him to try and help you clean up your desk so that you can have a tidy spot for once.

sweet-sweet ZHONGLI, who smiles so wide when he realizes that he won’t have to feel lonely anymore because of the fact that you’ll be staying home without going out to work. expect him to take you to your workplace to get your things and will help you start rearranging your office to make it more comfortable and suitable for your online meetings.

sweet-sweet zhongli, who makes sure to be quiet whenever he’s outside of your office and always prepares snacks for you. it’s scary how he always knows when you’re craving for something to eat, something that he excuse it as a coincidence and chuckles about it. he likes to think that it’s an instinct of his to know when you’re starving and/or know what you want.

sweet-sweet zhongli, who always makes sure to knock on your door before entering with foods that’ll surely make your mouth water at the aroma alone. at this point, it’s normal for your colleagues to see his lower body coming to view in your screen and putting down the tray that has your meal. they actually find it endearing and a bit jealous.

sweet zhongli, who listens to what you did for work as he massages your shoulders happily after your tiring meetings, adding a few comments here and there so that you’ll know that he’s listening to your rants. he's that good of a househusband <<3

SOMETIMES IN THE BACKGROUND — itto, xiao

ITTO felt excited when you said you'll start working at home, thinking that you meant that you’re willing to help him with the farm – only to find out that you meant you're actually still working in your career but at home, much to his sadness. nevertheless though, he was still happy because hey, at least you're now staying with him 24/7 :DD !!

like diluc, itto wouldn't dare to enter your office during your meetings in fear of disturbing you as well. despite that though, your colleagues know him already because of your choice of.. background.

you see, your office has a window that shows the beautiful view of the farm and field, something that you thought would look great as your background since the window is behind you and is visibly seen to your colleagues. what you don't think about is the fact that your husband could be seen by your many colleagues – leading many occasions where they can see itto talking with his farm- animals and/or getting chased by chickens and hens.

it only took you a long time before you realized that itto can be seen thanks to one of your friends who pointed it out, causing you to feel your cheeks warming when you realized your mistake. how could you face your lover knowing that almost all of your colleagues have seen the things he did outside?!

XIAO felt like the gods have smiled upon him when he found out about the new changes in your work. he’s been anxiously waiting for the announcement of what will happen to your and your company, so now that it's official that you'll be staying at home, he won't have to worry about anything regarding you catching the virus.

now, unlike most househusbands, your office is an open-door room that leads to the kitchen and dining area, causing xiao to be often seen by your colleagues doing random things. whether it'd be cleaning up some items in the background, walking by but accidentally tripped, cooking a meal, or even eat almond tofu nearby, not knowing that he can be seen. you didn't bother telling him since you assumed he knew.

sometimes, you'd feel like a boomer. especially during the first month of remote working since you had never used zoom or any online meeting apps, so you often come up to xiao when it comes to encountering technical difficulties. thankfully, xiao's been with zhongli for a long time to know how to fix your problems and/or answer your questions. he's basically a technician to you now.

NOISY AS FU— — scaramouche

“so? i’m still your alarm either way.” is SCARAMOUCHE’s response when you first told him that you’ll start working at home. in reality, he was lowkey relieved since he didn't want you to risk yourself to go to work.

just like diluc, scaramouche respects boundaries and silence, so he makes sure to not interrupt any of your meetings. he'll only enter if he wants to let you know that he'll be going out to buy some groceries or if he brings you a drink after you texted him.

now, despite not being able to enter your office, he's often... loud outside without realizing it.

it's not that he's intentionally loud to disturb you – no, no – he just gets a bit clumsy whenever he cleans. whenever scaramouche cleans, he sometimes gets too deep in his thoughts that he doesn't pay attention to his surroundings besides the one he's cleaning in, leaving him accidentally stumping his toe on one of the table legs and speak in colorful language, much to your embarrassment and shock when you’re in your office hearing it. thankfully it only happens when you're not talking (so far, at least).

besides that, on occasions when you're taking a "short" break while waiting for your next meeting, scaramouche will make sure to keep an eye on the time to let you know when you need to go back in case you ended up procrastinating. if you ever say “just a few minutes”, you can say goodbye to your sweet bed because your husband will literally drag you away towards your office. it's honestly scary how strong he is 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️
