Where Every Scroll is a New Adventure
I made this one specifically for irrational fears.
What you'll need:
Net ball
Tape
Crushed eggshells (cleansing and trapping negativity)
A small plastic or paper bag
A paper to write your fears on
A small rope like twine or cord
A small candle, colour of your choice
Execution: Grab your net ball (if you have the surprise attack version, unscrew the bottom first, here we will put the spell) and other components and sit in a comfortable spot on a Wednesday during the hour of Saturn. Write all your fears you wish to bind on the paper. Doesn't matter if it's big or small, just write them down. Then say "I bind my fears" and read your fears out loud, ending with how you don't want them in your life anymore. Do this is as often you feel is needed.
Fold your paper until it fits in the small bag. Grab your twine and wrap it around the paper saying:
I bind bind bind you away In my mind is where you will not stay
Tie a knot, put some eggshells and the paper in the bag and seal it with some candle wax. Take your tape and tape the bag inside of your net ball. Drill the lid back on and as you close the ball say:
As I close this ball my mind will change The irrationality edge will decay So it shall be Hold the ball in your hands for a while and visualize yourself tying rope around the ball. I imagined doing this with the energy of Saturn, who I envisioned as Sailor Saturn holding the ball with me. Make it clear that the fears will not come out unless you will it so. I specified that unless the lower compartment opens up, this spell will not reverse. I'm not planning on opening it up ever again, but if it happens to drop and open up because of a clumsy cat, it won't immediately be broken.
For extra comments and the why I made this spell you can read it on my website.
You donβt have to choose between Β Devil Homura or Goddess Madoka. The world is built on complementary forces.Β
Iβd say they both have attributes youβll need in your spiritual journey, thus both are very, very important.Β
Madoka is selflessness and sacrifice, the sacrifice of the self to attain a greater good. She is aΒ bodhisattva. She is passive.
Her love is universal and bright, but reflexive and not passionate.Β
She is hope.
She is the world of Salvation, she is Transcendence.
Accepts that her laws bring about her own dissaparition.Β
She is what a post-modern mage would callΒ βThe Right Hand Pathβ
Homura is doing the bad thing for the juste cause, fixing unfair situations by doing the wrong thing. She is a rebellious goddess of chaos and knowledge, a Lucifer, a Prometheus. She is active.
Her love is focused and passionate, destroys and creates, but above all, it binds.
She is rebellion and change.
She is the Material World, not the unknown beyond.
Accepts that her world will bring her hate, even her own self-hatred.
She is what a post-modern mage would call βThe Left Hand Pathβ
(I hope I can go and add more to this post in the future!)
Clairvoyance: The ability to see the not so ordinary. Your intuition speaks directly to you in the form of sight. Images form in your mind or interpret information through pictures.
Clairaudience: The ability to hear or interpret information from spirits. Clairaudience is a way of receiving intuitive messages without using your physical ears but rather hearing messages within your mind.
Clairsentiency: The ability to sense the presence or absence of spiritual beings and feel energies.
Clairempathy / Psychic Empathy: The ability to feel anotherβs feelings as their own. This is different from regular empathy, which is the ability to identify with anotherβs feelings.
Claircognizance: The ability to just know things out of nowhere. It can tie into Precognition.
Precognition: The ability to know something is going to happen before it does, premonitions.
Clairtangency: The ability to assess metaphysical properties through touch.
Clairalience: The ability to perceive metaphysical smells.
Clairgustance: The ability to perceive the metaphysical through taste.
Artistic and Divine Inspiration: The Poets have given many names to the unprompted artistic impulses found in creatives. The Norse concept for this isΒ oΓ°r. The Welsh and Celtic concept for this isΒ Awen. This is the act of receiving metaphysical or divine information through artistic impulses.
Exercise 1
Sit quietly with your eyes open.
Focus on a still object in front of you.
In your mind, take note of the objects and furniture around you.
If you see shadows, sparks, or movement, keep focused on the item in front of you.
Sit for as long as you feel comfortable.
Make notes on what you saw and felt.
Exercise 2
Sit with your eyes closed.
Clear your mind and thoughts.
Once you feel your thoughts leave you after a comfortable amount of time, focus on your eyelids and that black canvas it is.
Imagine that blank canvas and focus your intentions while keeping an open mind.
Allow whatever images that come to mind to play out. Donβt try to make sense of it.
Document findings in a journal.Β
Exercise 1
Go to a place where you are most comfortable.
Close your eyes, relax your body, and let hearing be your dominant sense.
Gently tune in to sounds that you donβt normally focus on.
Really pay attention to the layers of sounds and identify what each one is.
Document your findings in a journal or record yourself.
Exercise 2
Sit with your eyes closed.
Clear your mind and thoughts.
Once you feel your thoughts leave, focus on your eyelids and that black canvas it is.
Focus on the sounds around you and slowly try to tune them out.
Imagine an old radio with a frequency dial. Turn the dial through each station.
With an open mind take notice to any sounds chiming through. Itβs okay if you hear nothing. Keep moving through each station. You wonβt run out of them.
Put your intentions into each turn of the dial taking note of any sound.Β
Document your findings in a journal.
Exercise 1
Get more familiar with your energies by touching how your hands, feet, eyes, etcetera feel.
Learn how the environment feels around you rather it be the city or rural areas.
Learn how animals and plants feel from one to the next. Not everything is the same. Become aware of that. Every plant has its own pattern past the base patterns. Every animal has different markings apart from the next. Identify those traits.
Once that is learnt and recognized. Learn to feel the airs around you in different regions if one is able to do so.
Exercise 2
Visit different haunted facilities observing all the key details.
Take note of the atmosphere. How does it feel?
Take note of the emotions you feel during a tour.
Take note of the temperatures surrounding you.
Take note of any odd experiences and the people with you.
Exercise 3
Meditate with a specific spirit.
Take in the surroundings before starting.
Consider your moods beforehand. Noting them down.
Focus on the intentions for communication.
How do you feel during the meditation? What about after?
Did anything in the environment change?
Did temperatures in the environment change?
Did you feel hot or cold?
Did you feel any movements outside yourself?
Document your findings.
Ask someone you know to show you a picture of somebody they know very well, but youβve never met at all.
Look at the picture and feel into it by observing all aspects. Focus on how this person was feeling when the picture was taken.
Ask yourself what kind of person this individual is.
Share your findings with your friend.
Now, ask your friend for feedback. How correct were you? Repeat this exercise as many times as you want with different people. Remember to keep a journal for any findings.
Exercise 1
Grab a pen and pull out your notebook. Before you start writing, ask yourself a question. What guidance do I need today? How can I find a resolution with a problem? How can I be helpful today?
Then set a timer for five to twenty minutes and write whatever comes to you. Donβt edit yourself. Express yourself fully and write whatever comes to you.
The more you do this exercise, the easier it will be.
Exercise 2
Meditate before bed falling asleep to a method of relaxation.
Clear your mind during this meditation pushing away any internal thoughts.
Focus your intention on an open mind and dreams.Β
If a dream begins let it play out.
Upon waking write down your findings. Keep a dream journal taking note of anything that happens later in this world.
Compare and contrast experiences in this world versus your dreams.
Exercise 3
When topics are being discussed among individuals take note of things you know but have not studied or read about or heard about from any other source.
Document any experiences keeping notes on things if any.Β
Disclaimer: this post will have no mention of tulpas. I see them grouped with thoughtforms constantly, and from my limited understanding of tulpamancy, the definition that I see passed around on Tumblr is fully incorrect. Tulpamancy is also a closed practice. It isn't mine to be part of, and in all likelihood, it probably isn't yours to be apart of either.
Second disclaimer: this is all 100% my opinion and my own personal beliefs. You do not have to agree with me
(Important note: This is NOT the same philosophy that HelPols apply to gods, we do not believe that they exist because we know about them. We believe they exist as fully separate entities regardless of if we believe in or observe them)
In my own personal opinion, this is bullshit fear mongering. In my opinion, I think there are dangers to casting spells on big figures. I mean, everyone and their mother hexed trump in 2020, and he just had the biggest political turnaround in modern history that literally nobody saw coming. Some might say it's connected. My personal opinion is that there's OTHER reasons you shouldn't cast on big figures like this. But historically, we cannot ignore the fact that hexes and curses have been used by the oppressed to fight back against the oppressors. Erasing that erases so much history that it's important we don't forget.
In my opinion, I agree with this! From my standpoint as a Hellenic polytheist, I will never hold any spirit as highly as I do the gods, however I do believe that egregores can be worked with like any other spirit. Even the PGM has a spell for creating a personal daimon, and in many ways I see this as no different.
So if one wanted to work with Twilight Sparkle, under this school of thought, you aren't actually working with a personified spirit of a cartoon horse. It's more like a way to visualize a spirit of kindness, knowledge, magic, friendship, learning, etc. Some might just use the image of Twilight Sparkle as a way to bring those things into ones life. A lot of autistic practicioners do this because it's a way to link your practice to something you already know about and like.
The second school of thought is obviously, as per the post, that you are actually working with an egregore of Twilight Sparkle, and that it can manifest as the cartoon horse, because that's the collective belief in it.
I don't judge anyone for not understanding it, but I urge you to give it a try even if you think you won't like it. Opening yourself up to energy work is so rewarding if you're willing

Hello chicken!
I come to you today with a question I've had for a long time, and I read a post a while ago where you gave tips on entering the astral for people who struggle with it. In this, you mentioned, if I remember correctly, that people who day dream a lot should find a way to tell apart their spiritual travels from daydreams.
The thing isβI'm not only a maladaptive daydreamer since I can remember but also a fiction writer. Meaning my mind comes up with random places and people and story fractures all the time. And when prompted with something, it can run pretty far. I have no way of determining wether or not my spiritual encounters with familiar spirits have been legit or a complete result of my own imagination.
I really wanna know if there's a way to determine if my experience are "real" or made up and how I can go about differentiating them. If you have anything that could help with that I'd be super grateful.
Have a wonderful day and thank you already
We're in reference to this, I think?
This is one of those situations where there are IME never any blanket tips, because everyone has their own needs.
"Real astral travel is fatiguing whereas daydreaming is not" is not a rule of thumb that is helpful to people that don't really get tired astral traveling, or who are exhausted by racing thoughts.
I believe it's vital to experiment for oneself to build up a system of checks and balances that works for you.
That being said here are some ways that travel can be tested (again, consider how these checks may be inadequate depending on the areas you travel, your innate skills, etc).
If you have tips or thoughts to add, please feel free!
You have valid experiences with your spirits if they pan out - if your spirits give you information, spells, techniques, etc., that work. A lot of valid techniques and lore aren't written down, so comparing it to other sources doesn't always work - you have to put it to the test. You can also ask spirits to do things for you - things that should be easily doable - and see if it happens (like, asking them to visit you at a certain time and setting a reminder after the fact).
You can't really control spirits in the astral the way you control daydream characters. Your daydream character can say or do whatever you think even on the slightest of whims. Spirits do not, and if you try to force them to say or do things they can become very upset.
In the astral, there is no story to fracture. It's not a story, there is no narrative. It's a lived experience.
Astral realms are causal, just like our normal physical reality. In a daydream if you realize a character has on the wrong outfit for this scene, based on that mere idea the story might retroactively correct to suddenly have the character be in the right outfit. But in the astral, for a spirit to have on different clothes, they have to go change clothes. And that takes time. They have to leave that location, go to where they keep their clothes, change their clothes, and come back.
There is no fracturing the story into two versions, one where the spirit has on the right outfit from the start, and one where they don't. There is no story.
In a daydream, you control the experience. At the perfect moment, it starts raining in the graveyard for the dramatic reveal. In the astral, you are experiencing something external. You can imagine it's raining, try to force it to rain, or project rain. You might even see rain for a few moments. But your perception will tend to snap back to the actual experience. And then the spirits might be looking at you weird, asking what you're doing. You can't restart the scene because there is no scene.
In a daydream if there is a locked door, that doesn't necessarily stop you in any way. You can know what's behind the locked door, where the key is, how difficult it is to open the door, if there are alternate routes, and so on. You can even know who made the door and the forest the wood came from. The characters might be stuck on one side but you are the omnipotent creator god of that reality and you have all the information you want.
In the astral if you encounter a locked door, you don't automatically know what's behind it. If you don't have the key, you can use magic to unlock it or you can try to break it down. But if you can't, then you can't. If your path is blocked, you won't automatically know any alternative paths forward. The narrative isn't going to be rewritten to account for plot holes; there is no plot. Do you want to know who made the door? Well, how do you intend to find out? Because that information isn't up to you; it exists externally from you.
The characters are at a gorge. The next part of the story is on the other side. Figuring out how to cross the gorge isn't interesting right now, the emotional energy is ready to carry us deeper into the plot. Let's just put a pin in the crossing and figure it out later. For now, we teleport into the future. The characters are on the other side of the gorge, ready to travel into the city.
In the astral, you are stuck on that side of the gorge until you figure out how to cross it. You can imagine or pretend you're on the other side, but eventually you will be bounced back to where you are actually standing.
Daydreams remain static unless you are there to change them. The changes may be sprawling and nigh instantaneous, but they come from you; you are making it up. You are never going to come back to a daydream and realized the fundamental reality of the daydream changed since monday and is irreversible to its prior state.
Astral realms will change on their own whether or not you're there for it. One day a new path appears that was never there before. You can't "switch back" to the other version because there is not more than one version, it's a living area. One day there is a blockage and you can't go to that location. The next day the blockage disappears, or it remains until you resolve it.
Daydreams tend to be low-energy. You can go through the epic history of an empire in 30 minutes. Astral travel tends to be energy-intensive. You can hang out for 15 minutes and talk to one fish in a fountain before you get tired and sleepy.
Similarly, changes in daydreams can be done with nothing more than the energy of a thought; you can raise up houses, neighborhoods, cities, empires, and solar systems with the blink of an eye. In the astral, if you want a bucket of water, you have to pick up the bucket, go to the well, get the water, and walk back. And if it takes you 15 actual IRL minutes, then that's how long it takes you.
My tl;dr is that if it feels like you're an omnipotent multiversal creator god having adventures in endless stories with clear narratives, side-quests, and character arcs, then I'd be more likely to hazard that you're daydreaming. If it feels like you are a person trying to live your got dang life, if you run into problems that require real time and energy to resolve, and if you drop the ball and the world moves on without you - it's more likely you're traveling.
(The only thing I will say is that time in the astral generally doesn't work like how it does here - time can scroll forward very quickly. But if you have time-god powers like editing the past, jumping around from past to present and into alternate timelines, or flash-freezing the universe to walk around in it, I'd be suspicious.
In addition, what worlds you're going to can have a huge impact - personal astral spaces you're fully in control over are, well, much easier to control than external spaces where you're a visitor.)
A nice cup and some clean, fresh, water on the altar can often be all you need for daily offerings
Grow a plant on your altar, use your weekly watering as a devotional act. Hermes is currently helping my peace lily grow :)
Draw their sigil on your nails and then paint over them with nail polish that matches their color correspondences.
If you canβt acquire alcohol for your deities (wine, vodka etc) because youβre too young, white vinegar also works. The quality weβre looking for is the purification aspect. White vinegar is natural, antibacterial and never goes bad. You can leave it on your altar until it evaporates if you want.
If you work with a deity involved with self love like Aphrodite, investing a little more time into your skin care and scent can be very rewarding. Nothing super boujie, it can be as simple as getting some nice smelling lotion at the dollar store.
Food and water offerings donβt have to be external, especially if youβre in the broom closet and donβt have an altar. Reserve the first bite of your meal for your deity. Savour its taste while you think about them. Pour yourself a crisp glass of cold water and guzzle it as a devotional act.
Use a washable or dry erase marker to draw sigils on your shower wall for bath rituals. Itβll come right off when youβre done.
Tea bags are just bags of dried herbs. You can use these as offerings or draw sigils on them and burn them for witchcraft. No one is ever suspicious about a little tea. Adding a tea bag to your water offerings also gives them an extra kick.
A couple dollars at the thrift store will take you a long way. I love thrifting items because theyβre usually well loved. I especially like thrifting spirituality books that past practitioners have written in. Sometimes my deities communicate with me through the books that are available on any given day. If I was just talking to Leviathan about the power of water and I see a book about Hydromancy, I know that heβs sending me a sign. Like, 90% of the books Lucifer has sent me popped up at the thrift store. Most expensive one was $7.99. (and I tag swapped it for 2.99 π thanks, Hermes-
and on this note, literally steal. Not from small local thrift stores, but I mean this with my whole chest, steal from Value Village. If you can sneakily swap a tag and get something for cheaper literally do it. Value Village gets all their inventory for free I literally do not care. Corporate thrift stores donβt deserve rights. I steal from Value Village as a devotional act to Hermes π lmao )
If you donβt have money to spend on really nice paintings and posters of your deities for your altar, start buying books about them. Itβs a double win. A book about Greek religion will certainly have multiple beautiful sculptures and paintings of Aphrodite that I can cut out and put on my wall. A book about angels might have a cool painting of Lucifer. Books about Goddesses, ancient religions, anthropology, astrology etc. You get the opportunity to learn, and if itβs a book you donβt particularly care too much for, you can take it apart for imagery. People ask me all the time where I got all of my paintings and pictures from. BOOKS.
Does your deity have a kind of complicated sigil that you love but you also kinda hate redrawing every other day? Sorry Cerberus (Naberius) I love you but that sigil is so complicated babe.
Learn how to block print! Itβs very simple. You get a block of linoleum (usually pretty cheap, I think mine were like $5) , some ink (~$10), and a carving tool (varies depending), and make a sigil stamp! All you gotta do is draw your sigil and carve it out nicely one time. You can still bless it and imbue it with your energy, and you can easily put it on prayers, talismans etc.
Chalk is your best friend. Use it to draw sigils on the floor or wall that can easily be wiped away. You can imbue special chalk and use it for casting circles if you donβt like the mess of salt.
A lot of witches will tell new witches (baby witches) that they should start by learning and using protection magic. However, I've started to see a lot of witches say that protection magic is not as important as other witches claim it to be. Saying that they don't have anyone coming after them or an enemy in real life to warrant a spell of protection.
I think this may also be due to how I've not personally come across anyone really explaining why a witch may want to use protection magic all the time.
Now, it is true that there's no need to be paranoid all the time and have protection up 24/7. But here's a list where you may use it, find it useful, or haven't thought protection magic could be included.
An actual person -- This one is obvious, you have an enemy in real life or on the internet and you need protection magic to protect you from their curses.
A malevolant spirit -- They can come from your windows, mirrors (including tv screens, computer screens, and other reflective surfaces maybe), they seep through floor cracks, hanging onto your coats from outside, etc. Just like how you'd use garden gloves to avoid dirt up your nails being trapped there. Protection magic is just like putting on those gloves.
An energy -- Say you have a neighbour who's arguing with someone. They're yelling and screaming and it can be heard through the apartment walls. That negative energy is seeping into your home and your energy. So it may be worth protecting your home and energy from that sour neighbour's energy. (ever been scolded by your mother and your mood is sour? it's kind of like the same here.)
Your own spell -- Now a self-love spell is probably not something you should protect yourself from. But let's say you're doing a curse. It would be a smart idea to make sure you're protected before beginning such a spell. Much like how you'd wear an apron to protect your clothes from stains when cooking food. You may not always spill your food when cooking, but damn it is it annoying when you do and the stain won't wash off. It's the same with a spell.
Unintentionally -- Sometimes things can happen that's out of our control and it's a good idea to be a little prepared. A black cat suddenly running across the street? Bad luck. Someone got jealous when you told them something good? Evil Eye. Think of it as going to the store with an extra bag for your groceries. You may not need it, but isn't it handy when you at one point do need it?
Protection magic doesn't have to be elaborate or grand or be convoluted. Protection magic is powerful but also extremely simple. All you need is a horseshoe above the door, a little talisman in your pocket, a sigil for your car, etc.
So don't dismiss the importance of protection magic. It may help to improve your spellwork and your energy.
I've noticed that in both on and offline witchy and pagan communities a lot of people's first question relating to deity work and communication is "how do I tell if something is a sign" so I wanted to share my perspective and how I vet something as being a sign or message from my deity or not. This is a pretty simplified 'checklist', but it's important to note that signs are not my main form of communication with my deity which is why I'm quite 'conservative' in identification of them!
How many times? Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence but three times may be a sign. This is a general rule I use for signs like angel numbers, specific animals or imagery or something similiar. Though it doesn't always apply - for example, if I see five crows on a nearby roof I don't see it as a sign because that is a very common sight where I live. But if I see three deer near my house in one day, that IS pretty mystical.
How unusual is it? If something 'makes sense' or can be easily explained by mundane reasons it is less likely to be a sign, and this can work in "levels". E.g. if I see a spider in the corner of my room, that's pretty unlikely to be a sign because that's just what spiders do. A spider running across a specific chapter in my book or tarot guide is still explainable but I'd probably check if it was meant to be a sign. And a sparrowhawk landing on my windowsill would almost definitely be a sign because they rarely come into the area where I live.
How does it make me feel? Sometimes I get a gut feeling that something is a sign or a message, even if it isn't unusual or has only happened once. This can easily be mistaken for 'wanting' something to be a sign so still vet and double check but the differentation does with time, experience and a growing relationship with a deity. Often, signs are clear that they are signs, because you're deity wants you to see them and so your intuition often drags your attention to the, and tells you that they're special somehow.
How do I confirm? I almost always vet signs and messages, typically it's just a quick tarot reading to confirm that something was a sign and what it might mean or represent. Often I'll also meditate or consider the sign to see what feelings or knowledge it inspires in me as well. Sometimes I don't need confirmation, I just know. But that has come with time and I would always check early in my relationship to my Mother Nature.
Important notes If something is just coincidence, that's okay, and it's still cool! So what if that crow wasn't a sign from a deity, you still got to see a crow! And so what if that fortune cookie message wasn't actually a message from your spirit guides, it can still be an inspiring and needed message! There is magic in the mundane and that's wonderful.
If you're new to paganism or witchcraft and want to work with a deity I will warn you to be wary and do a lot of research. Don't just assume: "I saw crows the other day, Odin must be reaching out to me." or "I found a bunch of rose petals on the floor so it must be aphrodite." Signs can mean a great number of things and if you truly believe it is a deity, vet and research source materials for that deity and pantheon. Ask for confirmation and take things slowly, it is very easy to trick yourself into seeing something you want to see.
Signs vary between practitioners and it's important to understand and respect that. What might mean one thing to you, means something entirely different to someone else - even if you're devoted to the same deity. While I always recommend checking original religious sources (if possible) for traditional omens and meanings, they will probably be quite unique to you!!
Tell me about some signs you've recieved from your deity or spirit guides (or whoever)! Mine tend to be animals or plants, which is definitely on brand!
(note ; this is not roleplay, fictionkin, or delusion, though roleplayers, fictionkin, and delusional people are allowed to interact. this is pop culture paganism. please do not call me delusional, as this can cause me to doubt my experiences and reality, which can send me into pyschosis.)
before this post starts, i just want to say that this post isnt meant to be taken as "absolute truth". take what resonates with your own personal practice, and leave behind what does not.

If youβre new to visualization and astral projection, are having some difficulties with it, or even if youβre a veteran looking for resources, I highly recommend The Mentalist's Handbook: An Explorer's Guide to Astral, Spirit, and Psychic Worlds by Clint Marsh with illustrations by Jeff Hoke.
It was one of the first occult texts I picked up that I found refreshingly succinct and accessible. One of my biggest pet peeves is when occult authors describe tools or techniques but fail to explain the mechanics or donβt even attempt to offer any insight; Marsh not only details an approachable practice regimen but Hokeβs illustrations offer a bit of whimsy and inspiration for your own visualizations. Not to mention, the publication itself is just beautifully printed! Of course it is also available online in many formats but I definitely do not regret having a copy in my personal library!

how do you astral project? Do you have a spell for that?
you can use subliminals or spells if you want, but it's not needed at all ! i havent actually ap'd yet , but i've done a ton a research and asked other magical heroes that have ! ( tip - if you're a beginner magi trying to fight your first witch , PLEASE bring another , more experienced magi just in case ! never fight your first witch alone , wait until you get the hang of everything ! )
find a comfortable , quiet spot to lay down and relax . you can ap any time during the day , but in ny opinion , it's easier to attempt in the morning so you don't fall asleep . when you wake , stay very still . VERY STILL . don't even move your TOE .
παππαππγα‘£π©γππαππαπ
your body will eventually start tingling uncomfortably . ( this is where i usually mess up , i cant handle the sensation ,,, ) at this point , move your body upwards ( without actually moving your body ) . just imagine it very strongly .
παππαππγα‘£π©γππαππαπ
eventually , you should be able to pull your being up and out of your body ! personally , i recommend just getting used to the experience first , the first time you AP you shouldn't stray far from your body . stay in the room you're ap'ing in , and look at something you don't really pay attention to in your room . maybe a specific crayon or something ! note things about it ( ex , the paper is peeling off, the color is dandelion yellow , ect ) then return to your body. then , go and check the object and see if your descriptions were right ! the next time you AP , you can go to a different room ( one that your body isn't in ) and do the same thing with an object there ! and eventually , you can travel to different places you havent been before, then go to those places awake and see if they're the same ! that's how you know if it works
παππαππγα‘£π©γππαππαπ
to return to your body , there are multiple ways . you can either go towards your body and pull yourself into it , make yourself aware of your body ( ex , thinking of it , trying to move your real limbs instead of your astral ones ) . some people , if they have an objective going into the astral , just automatically return to their bodies after completing their task . but if all of these fail, don't worry! your body will pull you back once it wakes up .
παππαππγα‘£π©γππαππαπ
i hope this helped ! this is just according to my research , not according to my personal experiences . but , when i do finally get past the stupid tingly feeling and ap ( which i really have to do soon , because my soul gem is so dull ) , i'll update accordingly !! β‘
Psychosis Discussion for the Witchy/Pagan Folks In My Phone
also i'm not an expert, this is based off personal experience, personal research, formal research (my past college classes, but it's not like we had an in depth class for psychosis specifically, we just touched on it for like a week or two total), what i've heard from others, and observation
u know what. no one tells y'all what to do if you think ur in spiritual psychosis* (or just psychosis). all they do is make fun of people they think are in psychosis and use the term like a weapon.
here's what to do
eat enough (this one is underrated. how will your brain be able to work properly if not given the fuel? it takes energy to emotionally regulate and double check conclusions you come to)
drink water
try to get enough sleep (also underrated)
do something non psychosis related. draw something silly, or go sit outside, or watch a comfort show. observe how your body feels without assigning explanations to why it feels that way. these are all to help ground yourself. (sometimes grounding is explained with a spiritual lens and you may not want to get into that if you're trying to take a break from spirituality). if you're delusions are about deities, take a break from your deities. they won't be mad, they've seen psychosis before and they love you.
address your distress. i can't speak much for manic feeling types of psychosis, my episodes were very anxiety based. but for anxiety, use coping mechanisms for calming yourself down. do something that doesn't harm you but makes you feel safe.
if you can, get professional help, or get medications adjusted if that's what's causing it
if you know the source or something heavily influencing your psychosis, distance yourself from it. witchtok is known for fearmongering and feeding peoples psychosis
reach out to friends if you've been isolating yourself. you can just spend time together doing something chill. something that helped my episodes was being with people who weren't tied to the themes of my psychosis, so if your psychosis is tied to witchcraft for example, hang out with friends who don't do anything witchy, or stay off the topic of witchcraft if your friends are all into witchcraft
hold off on major decisions like large purchases, getting rid of lots of personal items, moving, etc until you feel better and more stable
a bonus tip is to spend time away from people who are toxic or who make you feel confused and off kilter. if there's someone who for reasons you can or cant explain, just repeatedly makes you feel bad about yourself or guilty or angry, it might be because they're toxic in a way you havent noticed yet. if i had a nickel for every time someone told me they thought they were going insane until they spent less time with someone who turned out to be an abuser, and they suddenly got better, i'd have three nickels including myself.
i see too many people in witch/pagan communities acting like the psychosis is just when people are weird or when believe weird things and it's such a bold thing to say when we literally talk to gods and/or light candles to get money. it makes it seem like the bad part of psychosis is being weird or cringy. that is not what is destructive about psychosis. what's destructive is the social isolation, obsession, anxiety, paranoia, lack of self care, and big impulsive decisions. if you feel safe, are safe, and aren't harming others, your beliefs are not a major concern. you're either right, or harmlessly wrong. nothing wrong with that. so stop bullying people you think are weird, i will always repeat this sentiment
if something happens in your practice that is a little wacky, just keep taking care of yourself. the priority is your safety and others' safety. there's a lot of fearmongering in witchy spaces about being wildly wrong meaning you're in psychosis, but being wrong is okay. do some research (not on social media), ask for signs you can't miss, get a tarot reading from someone you trust, and remember spirituality is just wacky sometimes. we can't prove every single spiritual occurrence. we can only prove if we're physically taken care of. if you're safe, and the people around you are safe, and you don't feel overwhelmed with paranoia or anxiety or mania, you're probably okay to move forward, and just accept you could be right or wrong.
also, coming out of psychosis is a slow process. you're changing your view of your own reality. that doesn't happen in one night.
*i want to add to this, it is possible to know you're in psychosis, it's just not always common. if you are feeling like everyone is out to get you (thinking everyone is trying to hex you or you're being constantly spiritually attacked), or that you are more special than everyone (thinking youre a gods favorite devotee, that you're the most powerful witch, thinking you're the only one stopping an astral war, for me i thought i personally would cause the rapture), feeling like everything is a sign, those could be delusions. (the ones i'm describing here are delusions of persecution, grandeur, and reference. i see these most often in witchy/pagan/spiritual spaces)
also this might just be me, i have chronic dissociation, OCD, GAD, and such but psychosis has its own separate feeling of "i'm losing it". it feels like that mental thing you get in dreams where you just don't question anything. once you're out of it, you're like "why did i just believe that???". and like you can question yourself in a dream, but you'll only catch one thing. you'll recognize the clocks are look weird, but you won't notice the walls changing colors, you know? so if you feel that half-in a dream, reasoning isn't working right feeling, that could be a signal too. i think the closest feeling i've had to this was a PTSD (not a cptsd one in this case) flashback after a night of no sleep.
okay i'm rambling. tldr: if you think you're developing are/in psychosis, do basic physical self care (especially eating enough). do things that are simple and fun that isn't related to what is triggering you (so like grounding). social self care, like meeting with friends to do things not related to your psychosis triggers. try to use basic coping skills for anxiety, guilt, fear, things like that. you don't need to dig into why you feel it, just how to calm it down.
and stop bullying ppl online, doesn't matter how insane you think they are
(i have DID and it's hard to keep track of what i say without rambling and switching trains of thought and repeating myself without realizing so if this is confusing. uhh. rip lmao)
Astral Projection - In Depth Tutorial κ°ΰ¨ΰ§ (Written as someone with diagnosed ADD who APs maybe 5/7 nights) (This is magical hero specific, given the sole purpose of my travels is witch hunts and training, but it can be tweaked for the "normies!" /aff)
The Golden Rule If you want to astral project, you have to put in the work. Really believe. Spend time meditating, talking to your patron/contractor (this would be whoever you made a deal with/gave your soul to in order to become a magi), study the topic, read about it, watch videos, etc. Not everyone will get it first try, and that's okay! Everyone gets the hang of it with practice! I used to only be able to do it maybe monthly, and now I do it most of the week!
Sleep Paralysis Given sleep paralysis is one of the most powerful tools for astral projection, I'll provide a method for that first! From this state, it's impossible to move, so you can easily become disconnected from your body similar to how you do in a dream or trance!
How To Enter Sleep Paralysis 1) Lie on your back. Dead still, this won't work for anyone who twitches frequently/has tourettes. Keep your mind active, think about whatever you want. Blast loud music in your headphones, anything to keep your body still but your mind up and awake. 2) Don't even think about your body. Let your thoughts consume you, forget you're anything more than a mush of brain. Don't even focus on your breathing. A lot of techniques will say to, but just let it naturally come to you, focusing on it just reminds your brain you're inhabiting a body. 3) Wait until you tingle like HELL. Not just a little buzzing or numbness, you gotta feel like you're being electrocuted (without the pain. Immediately stop if it hurts, something's wrong) for it to work properly. Most people who've experienced sleep paralysis know you tingle like crazy. 4) Stay calm. Pretend you're on vacation or some shit. You want this, you know you do, so once you're frozen, stay calm and let it happen. 5) Once you feel completely tingly, disconnected from your body, and like you're nothing but your thoughts (not even your brain, just thoughts) congratulations, you can move on to astral projection!
How To Astral Project 1) Do some heavy meditation. Get your brain in a state of drowsiness, like you're about to fall asleep. Make sure not to, though! Keep your mind active and ready, just like in sleep paralysis. Stay alert and open to responses from your body. 2) Lay down, preferably on your back with your arms at your side and your palm up. Close your eyes and just stare at the back of your eyelids until either your eyes hurt or you simply don't want to anymore. 3) Stay still. You can twitch, unlike the sleep paralysis method, but don't focus on the involuntary movement, focus on the darkness behind your eyelids. 4) Do whatever you have to. Stay awake and alert. Some magical heros are responsive, even in sleepy states like these! Strive to be just like that right now. Listen to loud music, a podcast, just do something to keep your body asleep, but your mind awake. 5) Imagine you're lifting up from your position on your back. Make sure you picture it from a first person perspective, not a third person one. Keep doing this over and over until you start to actually feel yourself lifting up. Be careful not to lift your physical body with you! 6) Once you're sat up, meditate until you start to see your room/wherever you fell asleep from behind your closed eyelids. You might be able to skip this step if sitting up gave you this ability. You should be able to look down and see your physical body below you.
How To Lucid Dream 1) Put together a playlist of subliminals/binaural beats with a timer at the end. I have one linked at the end of the post that I use! 2) Once the timer goes off, let yourself wake up, but stay as still as possible and keep your eyes shut. The alarm will turn off on its own after a bit, just ignore the beeping. 3) Take deep, controlled breaths, make your brain think you're still asleep, even if the alarm woke you up. 4) After a while you should be in a state similar to paralysis, where it feels hard, but not impossible, to move. Once you feel like your body is completely asleep, pinch your nose closed. If you can still breathe with it shut, congratulations! Open your eyes and enjoy the dream!
How To Go From Sleep Paralysis To Astral Projection 1) Focus really hard on a first person perspective of lifting your body up from the bed. Given you're in paralysis, you can't move your physical body, but your soul (or spirit, if your soul is outside your body already) can be transported, as it's not physical. 2) Do this until you feel yourself floating/lifting up. After a while, you'll start to see your room behind your closed eyes. Congratulations, you can now astral project!
How To Go From A Lucid Dream To Astral Projection 1) Summon your contractor/patron and ask them to help your soul travel back to the astral realm from the dream realm! That should be all you need <3 2) If they refuse to help/can't do that, I unfortunately don't know how to help you, as I've always had Kyubey help! Maybe look up some tutorials?

do u know how to astral project :D
not yet T_T im going to be trying to astral project once i've researched enough though !!!
disclaimer: this is not roleplay, fictionkin, or delusion, but those who are roleplaying, fictionkin, and/or delusional are allowed to follow and interact. please do not call me delusional, as this can trigger my paranoia and cause me to spiral into not believing my own experiences / reality, which could send me into psychosis.
π ,,, hello ! my name is samuel, i use he/it, im 16, an im an aspiring irl magical boy !!
my concept is puella magi madoka magica, but that might change as i am very new to this community.
i have been practicing chaos magick on and off for a few years now, and while i am not new to the concept of pop culture magick / pop culture paganism, i am new to the practice of it. same thing w/ astral projection as well. im also a shifter ! i knew about and was a shifter back in 2020, but forgot about shifting until recently, where i got back into it.
im the host of a did system, am nonhuman (mentally, will identify as physically once i make my contract), queer, trans (genderqueer + ftm), and am physically and mentally disabled.
my main / biggest kin is grey wolf (though i do have others), and this aspect of who i am impacts me greatly. tldr; beware of wolf posting
i worship both "traditional" gods and pce/d's. i currently worship Loki, Gaia / Mother Earth, Dionysus (causally, dont work w/ Him at all atm), Madokami / Ultimate Madoka, Homucifer / Devil Homura, and may start worshipping Ho-Oh (pokemon) and Hekate as well.
