Where Every Scroll is a New Adventure
Please don't give up, things are dark and bleak right now but please don't give up. Everything me seem and feel impossible but there's so much left to fight for. So many to fight for.
-------------------------------------------------------
*America, Now*
America, land of fractured dreams,
Where hope is dimmer than it seems.
Once bright with promise, strong and sure,
Now shadows linger, hard to cure.
The streets are loud, with voices raw,
Divided hearts, divided law.
Truth is scattered, torn in two,
While justice falters, lost from view.
The cost of care is measured cold,
A weight too heavy to uphold.
And children, eyes too young for grief,
See futures robbed by silent thieves.
Guns in hands, fear in eyes,
Unseen wounds and whispered lies.
A country built on strength and pride,
Feels splintered now, cracked open wide.
Yet still beneath the hardened soil,
There’s grit, there’s fight, a pulsing coil.
A spark of what it once could be—
A dream that strains to be set free.
America, bruised but holding on,
In every heart, a quiet dawn.
For even through the darkest night,
There’s still a chance to heal, to fight.
That's my inspiring message for today and you should make it yours, too. If you want to hear what my rough patch is, DM me.
P. S, Reblog this if you agree!!
oh you better BET
Trump just declared that there are only 2 genders, so this is your reminder to get WEIRDER and QUEERER gang
On twitter I’m seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.
On tumblr I’m seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.
Be careful who you get your information from. Don’t let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.

A message to everyone who is against Trump in the U.S,; don't give up.
I understand that statement may seem cliche and useless to many people. But everyone needs to understand the significance it holds.
I am heartbroken about the election results in the United States. But I will not stress how important it is to stay strong, and not give up on our democracy. I won't tell you it's not terrifying.
But we can't stop fighting for the rights of ourselves and others. No matter how hopeless it may seem at the moment, we must work together to maintain democracy in America.
If you feel like it's not worth it to keep trying, think of the genocide against the Palestinians, which will only reach new extremes under Trump's presidency (he has said he wants Netanyahu to be even more aggressive and tough on Palestine than he already is being—sit with that for a moment.) the transgender people who won't receive the affirming care they deserve, the people of color who now have nearly no protections against racism and police brutality, the children who won't have access to the education they need, who won't be protected against rapists and gun violence, the people who will not be able to get abortions no matter how dire their situations are, the legal and illegal immigrants who will be deported, the Ukrainians who will now longer have protection from America against the Russian invasion in their country. And there is so much more, so much more that we won't even see coming.
However, we can still do things to make a difference. Go to protests, educate yourself and others, donate to Palestinians/charities that help Palestinians and other people in need, volunteer at organizations that help women travel to different states to have legal safe abortions, flood your congressmen, representatives, mayors, governors, anyone in our government, with letters and complaints.
Use your voice! Remember, you have free speech no matter how much you are made to feel like you don't.
Now is not the time to worry about hurting anyone's feelings or being annoying. Be a bother. Force everyone who is using their power to ignore you and your rights to notice you.
Don't be scared to aggressive as you fight against the fascism that threatens our country. We cannot and will not allow this nation to slip further into hate, homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, white supremacy, xenophobia, misogyny, and anti immigrant ideology any more than it already has.
We cannot afford to be selfish or weak. Even if your state has voted to add protections for women and trans people in their state constitutions, doesn't mean you're safe. Do you think Trump won't do everything he can do outlaw these rights everywhere eventually? Fight and keep fighting. For everyone.
This may seem dramatic to some. I've heard the argument "Trump won't follow through. He's not being serious. He won't actually try to become a dictator", several times. Wake up! He has presented these intentions time and time again. Take his words at face value. He will strip people of their rights, especially if we actively chose to ignore his clearly communicated intentions. Do not think he won't do everything in his power to pass Project 2025 and other hateful, controlling, unconstitutional policies.
Believe it. But also believe in hope. It's easy to feel alone during this time. Remember, however, that there are millions of people behind you, and we can keep it that way if we remind ourselves and each other that we are fighting together and we will not give in.
No matter what, do not give up on our country and every single citizen that still needs our protection and support.
No matter what happens next don't give up. Go to protests, find leftist communities you can join, be loud. Be as loud as you can. Fight for your freedom, because with the cursed orange in power people will have the opportunity to wake up and see for themselfs what the far right actually stand for. I know it's gonna be hard, but please don't give up. Every time in history before we take one big step in the right direction we backtrack a little. Trump in power is just temporary. Just don't give up.
Has anyone else seen the quote: “I’ve never met a strong person with an easy past?”
I have. On multiple occasions. And although, as a realist, I have some difficulty believing this, I see it everyday without noticing it. I’m not saying there are dragon slayers and knight in shining armor all over the place, but you have to admit that someone who gets up everyday even though they know it’s going to be a shitty day is truly brave.
My point isn’t to define who deserves to be called strong and who doesn’t, because that is a subject that would create too much problems and I don’t think I get to judge anyone, ever. The reason why I stated this was that I wanted to tell everyone how brave they are. Now, don’t go away thinking that I am trying to please your ears. I want to let anyone and everyone who needs it that they are good and strong and that I admire them for being so brave.
As a matter of fact, I will enumerate all the things I think make someone strong. The following are things that takes a lot of my energy and my courage to do, but that I do anyway:
· You’ve been able to get up in the morning without snoozing you alarm clock.
· You’ve actually asked a question to the teacher in front of the whole class even though you thought you might sound stupid (which I am pretty sure you didn’t).
· You have planned you study or your school working time in advance.
· You have chosen school before going on the internet.
· You’ve gone to sleep at a reasonable hour (considering the hour you would have to get up).
· You’ve taken someone’s shit and haven’t tormented yourself afterwards with what you did or what you could’ve done.
I could go on for a while, but I’m guessing you get what I mean. You are strong. You may not think so, but I do and even though I don’t even know you, I care. Know that if anything happened to you, my heart would ache, and I would actually be sad.
And just so you know, although you may not realise it, I am far from the only one who thinks that way.

hi friends
as we boycott in support of palestine, here is a little reminder of the companies that specifically supported israel in their crimes against palestine (taken from the al jazeera website)
do as much as you are able to during the boycott, but if you need essentials or need to go to work to support yourself, that is okay! anything helps and boycotting these companies specifically is great because of their direct role in the violence against people in gaza

I never really wanted to make this to be a blog-blog, like write anything other than describe my art and put hashtags to the pieces. Yet, here I am, midnight, nearly 1 am; and I just couldn't wait to write this out.
I am afraid. I am lost and afraid, yet this feeling drives me more. I don't feel like an artist. Maybe it is because I never was formally trained, my skill has always been self taught mostly with guidance from other artists and my father. Maybe the lack of formal training is why I never pursued a career with my art? I have always regretted that and nearing 40, who knows if that will ever happen. This thought causes dread, depression and anxiety. I don't know if I should continue to draw, I feel lost. I am afraid to pursue my art even as a freelance, I don't take judgement well or criticism. Yet I know if I do not, I wont grow or gain more skill. I digress.
I write this because I post my art on various social medias and get nowhere. I don't know if I am doing this correctly. Should I network more? It's ok to ask for help. I see my posts get very few clicks, likes, etc. and others seem to explode with popularity. I have tried fan art, OCs, progress art, revisit old drawings. I haven't tried the DTIYS stuff, but I want to because it looks fun.
To those that read this, to the artists who feel invisible because you don't get the traffic you deserve, comment below so we see you. I will follow. It's ok to feel invisible, we all have to start somewhere. Even if you are near 40 like myself. There are so many artists out there who have been rejected or never found their style, medium etc. until later in life.
Carmen Herrera Rose Hilton Mark Rothko Phyllida Barlow Wassily Kandinsky Betty Tompkins Claude Monet Vincent Van Gogh Johannes Vermeer El Greco Paul Cezanne Georges-Pierre Seurat Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec Edouard Manet Paul Gauguin Alfred Sisley
Don't give up and don't draw for the likes, the fame or the notoriety. Draw because you want to create. Create because it is worth doing. In a world of destruction, chaos, hate; we need beauty. Things that inspire, drive us, give us awe and make us feel. Keep drawing. I see you, because I am you.
Tired, ancient soul,
What secrets do those eyes hide
That you shelter so close to your chest
A chest that is bursting at the seams
With raw anguish,
But beautiful soul
Pain isn't meant to last
And neither is happiness
These fleeting emotions
Hold not tight to them
Because the only immortal here
Is You
~Me
Depression may be invisible, but your absence is not.
Now that Trump is your President, many of you are thinking about moving to Canada. Well I say welcome abroad (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp), but first there are some things you need to know first before you become a Canadian Citizen.
1) you must be over eighteen years old
2) You must be able to both speak and write in either French or English
3) Have lived in Canada as a permanent Resident for the 4 out of 6 years before you apply
4) be physically present in Canada for 183 days or more during each of those four years.
5) filled your taxes for at least four years since the past six years as well as pay any income tax that you might owe.
6) Apply for citizenship within Canada.
You may not become a citizen if you have an inadequate knowledge in either French or English, nor can you become one if are or have recently been in Prison. Additionally, for anyone under the age of eighteen, your legal guardian(s) must apply for you and they have to be either a Canadian citizen or applying to become one themselves. However, if you are a minor, you do not need to meet the residency requirements. Finally, if you are or have been part of the Canadian Armed Forces, you may be eligible for a fast-track application process.
Note: all of the above info was gathered from here http://settlement.org/ontario/immigration-citizenship/citizenship/apply-for-canadian-citizenship/how-do-i-apply-for-canadian-citizenship/
Now the first step to becoming a Canadian is that you need to be a Permanent Resident. A Permanent Resident is someone who has been given permanent Residence Status by the Canadian government. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/about-pr.asp
Additionally, the website: “Move to Canada -15 miles http://15miles.info/move-to-canada/“ can help you see your chances of becoming a permanent resident. If you have an advanced degree, 2 or more years of professional experience, and $12,000 ($9000 USD) or more in savings, you can probably immigrate to Canada within a year. If you want a more detailed answer, take their quiz and see how good your chances are.
Now the final step to become a Canadian citizen is the Citizenship Test: a written and oral test where you’ll be asked about
the rights, freedoms and responsibilities of Canadian citizens,
Canada’s democracy and ways to take part in Canadian society,
Canadian political and military history (including the political system, monarchy and branches of government),
Canadian social and cultural history and symbols, and
Canadian physical and political geography.
Additionally, this test will also be used to see if you have adequate knowledge in either English or French. For more info on the citizenship test see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/cit-test.asp
So to answer the question you may all be wondering, no you can’t just move to Canada because you dislike Trump. You need to actually be prepared and have a plan if you want to live in Canada.
I understand that many of you are scared, myself included since we rely heavily on trading with the US, and that you may be wanting to move to Canada, but remember this.
Trump isn’t the first, nor will he be the last. There have always been idiotic and terrible leaders throughout every nation in history. Yet despite this, many nations are still standing. Why? Because their citizens never gave up. They still believed in their country, it’s people and wished it to be the best it can be, and they fought or still are fighting for that dream.
If you are afraid of living in America either due to your sexuality, religion or ethnicity, etc, and wish to move somewhere safer, I totally understand. And you want to become a Canadian, I welcome you open arms, but I beg of you. Do not give into nihilism and abandon your country. Discrimination has and always existed. It may not always be obvious at times, but every country has its xenophobes of various degrees. Canada is no exception as shocking as that might be.
So keep on fighting for what you believe in. Even if the entire nation is telling you to move, you must stand firm like a tree and say “no, you move”.
Remember Trump isn’t America. Nor are the republicans, Hilary, the Democrats, Obama or any other politician or political party. You are America, just as we are Canada.
You are the heart and soul of America. And if you truly believe in your country, you will make damn sure that both are as bright and vibrant as they can be.
Peonies on caskets. It's all yours. your wait your study. Engulf in your time and if it kills them you can as well send them condolence messages and lovely peonies to be put on there caskets.

This universe is full of miracles. Something good will happen for sure. Stay Strong !
You can cry.
You're allowed to cry, you're allowed to rest, you're allowed to roll in bed and wish to stay there for a minute, you're allowed to stop being productive in some time, you're allowed to take a break from shifting and from everything.
You're allowed to allow your body to calm itself, to understand that the reality is near, nothing of those I mentioned above will tent your life, nothing at all.
Because you know it yourself, you found shifting for a reason, home is always where your heart will be, head on their shoulder, sharing earphones, walking in the rain, finally having that burden off your shoulder.
I'm proud of you ml, you've gone long enough, and let me see you truly get whatever you want, whether it's the void, manifesting or revising something, shifting or anything of sort.
You're valid, and think of how your younger self would feel to know they achieved something their little heart wanted for so long.
Xoxo. Coco
I had my life seemingly together
But then the air turned into leather
With every breath my chest grew heavier and tighter
My head started to feel lighter
Get back up
Don’t give up
Propel
Out of Hell
Sometimes I fall down
And I forget that it doesn’t mean that I will lose my crown
I will rise
And get the prize
I have to get back out there
To breathe the mountain air
Don't step back a single inch.
Also: omg trans cattos just like meeeeeeee
In regards of the Trump government scraping all trans inclusion in its queer information portion of its websites I have made this thing. Spread the word. Don't let them pretend we never existed.
P.S: Don't like! Reblog! <3
EDIT: Well this got a lot of attention! I got a few users asking to print or repost my art and I am unimaginably grateful to everyone's interest, especially since it's a really simple drawing I made on a whim haha! Anyone who is looking to print these out to hang or hand out or repost on another platform is free to do so, although I ask you to credit me and let people know it's from my Tumblr profile! If anyone wishes to do anything else with my art or post and wants to clarify what I consent to then they can message me privately and I'll explain! <333 all my love to my queer siblings
EDIT: I made an LGBTQIA+ version with a focus on trans and intersex folks, it's on my pinned if you prefer this version of the acronym.
Reblog this when it’s on your dash. You will save someone’s life.
I'm seeing a lot of posts on my dash today encouraging folks to start archiving their favorite online resources, in case they might be at risk of disappearing in the near future. Since privacy and data ownership are major interests of mine, it seems like a good time to share a bit of what I know! I hope that some of this might be helpful--please feel free to reach out if there's a specific question that comes to mind! 💕
(My bona fides, in case anyone wants to know: I do work in tech, with over fifteen years of experience in the same. Linux systems administration is a hobby of mine, and privacy, particularly as it relates to tech, is very near and dear to my heart. That said, I am not an infosec professional, so you may want to supplement this guidance with your own research, depending on your threat model.)
If you rely heavily on traditional cloud storage providers, like Google Drive and Dropbox, now is the time to start exporting your important files to a more secure location. Data stored with most online platforms is encrypted at rest, but the encryption keys are stored on the server's side, meaning that the contents of your files can still be accessed by the service providers themselves. This also means that your files and their contents are vulnerable to data breaches, DMCA takedown requests, subpoenas, and the oh-so-popular AI scraping that has wormed its way into nearly every tech product of note. (Including Tumblr! Lucky us!) Saving files on your own computer is one option, but if you want something closer to the Google Drive experience, Proton Drive is my recommendation. Free accounts get 5 GB of storage, and all data is end-to-end encrypted, which means even Proton can't read the contents of your files. A suite of document features were rolled out earlier this year, including rich text editing, collaboration, and sharing, so if you use Google Docs for writing, you can use Proton in pretty much the same way. I also use Proton for my email, and I'm happy to vouch for them--they are nonprofit-backed, EU-based, and all of their products are built on privacy from the ground up. If you have an Apple device, you can also turn on Advanced Data Protection for your iCloud account, which will enable end-to-end encryption for most services. (Notably, mail, contacts, and calendars will remain unchanged, to ensure compatibility with standard protocols.) This might be a good option for folks who already have iCloud services and who don't want to set up anything new. You can learn more about how to enable this feature here.
There are a number of ways to archive specific webpages, depending on how much content you want to preserve and how tech-y of a solution you're willing to tolerate. A web clipper is probably the most straightforward option: install one of the listed notes apps, install the web clipper browser extension, open the page you want to save, and clip clip clip. The images and text (with formatting) will be stripped from the page and saved to a note in your app. Both Joplin and Obsidian's apps are available cross-platform:
Joplin + Joplin Web Clipper
Obsidian + Obsidian Web Clipper
Notes you create in Joplin are encrypted before being saved to your device, while Obsidian's notes are saved to a location of your choosing in plain-text Markdown format. If you aren't sure which to choose, choose Obsidian--it's a little easier to use right out of the box.
If you want to preserve the full context of the webpages you save, similar to what you'd see on archive.org, SingleFile is a browser extension that lets you save complete web pages as a single HTML file. You'll find links to the various browser extensions, as well as documentation, on the project's GitHub page:
Note that these files can get pretty big. In general, I'd recommend a web clipper for most cases, but it's good to have multiple options on hand!
Even in the absence of major geopolitical events, it's worth remembering that anything you see online can change or be removed at any time. Keep backups of anything that's important to you. (And make sure you back up your computer, too!) Have an alternate contact method for your online friends, in case one platform goes down or otherwise becomes inaccessible.
Consider signing up for a Signal account, if you haven't already, and recommend that your friends and family do the same. It's a free end-to-end encrypted chat platform, and unlike some privacy-focused chat protocols (looking at you, Matrix), it's easily accessible to non-techies. Don't use email, DMs, Discord, Slack, etc. for any communication that you expect to keep private. Any platform that can access your messages will give them up to authorities if compelled to do so by a court order or subpoena. This is not a theoretical risk. It is happening to people in the US right now. I am being so, so serious about this.
If you're looking for a new creative hobby, why not teach yourself a little HTML and CSS? Neocities is a great place to build your own website, and it's free. And it's fun! (If you make something, please drop the link, because I want to see.)
Breathe. We have to survive this, somehow. Log off for today, if you have to. Drink some water. Pet a cat. Sit outside and watch the birds, just for a few minutes. Believe that we will be okay, however you can. ❤️
(for real bc I made it a week this time <3)
