Our Boi Yoriichi is tired from hunting down Muzan😭

Rarepair are crazy bc they just appear like that and you're like “Wha—”

Like I just realised I shipped Yoriichi and Tamayo, suddenly.

I forgot about this one from the last post 😔

(little drabble)

Yoriichi watches the man -- large, ethereal-looking man -- tilts his head as his ruby eyes dart up and down in interest. The boy blinks, unsure what to make of this. It's one thing to be suddenly greeted with such a sight of a being, moreover that he sees the massive differences in the inside of the man.

Whereas the staff of his household manages a steady rhythmically heart beat, this larger being has his heart moves in a way Yoriichi has never seen before. Out of the world-like.

" Yosh! " The man starts, his voice surprisingly airy and light, but still full of life. " Nice to meet you! I am Nika! "

The boy stares for a bit. " I am...Yoriichi. "

" Yoriichi. " Nika leans in, his grin resembling the beams of sunlight. " Well, it's not everyday I get to meet the embodiment of nature. "

He speaks strange words, not that Yoriichi mind much. The man, or whatever he is, shifts on his spot, movements bouncy and uneven. Nika tilts his head up, narrowing his eyes for a moment as he surveys the sky above.

" What a nice weather! Wanna go play together? " He looks back at Yoriichi, holding out his hand.

Yoriichi glances at the position of the shadows cast over the ground from the familiar tree near the small room he lives in. Mitchikatsu should be training by now, his father is currently out for a meeting, and his mother is in her room sewing. The staff cares less about him.

Oh well. The less he's being seen near the main court, the better.

He takes Nika's hand, or finger. The size difference is rather comedical.

" Okay. "

" I am not leaving you. " Uta has said once, grasping Yoriichi's hand under the blanket. He returned the grip with the same amount, assured, as he rested his chin over her head and allowed her to doze off to sleep first before following suit.

Even if she isn't physically there anymore, nor does their unborn child, Yoriichi sometimes holds out his sword to the sun and watches the way his obsidian black blade glistens under the light, his hearing picks up the relentless chirping of the wildness around him, feeling the pouch containing his flute settles in nicely in his clothing folds, and he knows that she's still there with him.

Just a thought, but if you tell Yoriichi that he's the strongest and most powerful and that anyone would be safe under his care, he'll go silent and mutter,

" Yet my wife and unborn child are not here with me. "

Tsugikuni brothers being flirted by their women.

Extra point : Fumiko doesn't really know how to flirt actually but Douma had given her a few lesson here and there ( Muzan is not pleased when he found out about this )

Uta used a dirty pick-up line once and Yoriichi was literally on the floor, becoming a blushing mess.

She always made sure to hold his hand tightly.

The first day Yoriichi decided to come and live with Uta, the girl took a hold on his hand and lead the way to her home, her tight was strong.

It was as if she was afraid he would leave.

Since then, whenever they both went out together, Uta had always held his hand in hers. She had asked once if he felt uncomfortable with it and would rather her not to do it.

Yoriichi answered by gripping her hand in his.

He was happy.

Very happy.

His face didn't show his true feelings, but the small action from Uta made his heart fluttered. He noticed that it was something that calmed Uta down, as she sometimes had nightmares when sleeping and he would reached out and hold her hand, and she would immediately calmed down.

10 years later, married, even as adults, she would still hold his hand. She was still worried that he would leave her and she would be left alone again.

Yoriichi would gripped her hand and reassured her that, he would always stay by her side.

He would never leave her.

But she did.

Yoriichi would never forgive himself for coming home late that night. His mistake had caused his wife and unborn child to be murdered. If only he had returned quicker...

And so he cradled Uta's corpse in his arms gently for the next 10 days, tears already dried from the constant crying.

He held her hand in his. Her skin was so cold, no warmness on it like he usually felt. He regretted letting her hand go that day. She must have felt so lonely. She died a lonely death with their unborn child.

His grip around his wife's hand tightened.

What he would give to have her hold onto him again...

An AU where Yoriichi openly shows him simping for his wife and Mitchikatsu doesn't get too jealous with him and doesn't turn into a demon.

Also him suffering the third wheel presence among Yoriichi and Uta, the lovely couple.

I'd like to think that Mitchikatsu's marriage is an arranged and loveless one. Not sure if it's canon, but I'd like to think it that way.

It makes me happy to know that Yoriichi and Uta are reborn in the modern world and even have two kids together 😭🤧🥺✨💖
