Hmmmm Interesting…

hmmmm interesting…

Well I hope Gertrude has fun leading humans elsewhere. It’ll be difficult.

Like herding cats, but otherwise a noble venture.

Do you like chickens? Do you believe in the mysterious theory that the chickens are bald and the egg rates are decreasing? Do you believe in Gertrude?

That is a very good question.

I do in fact like chickens. There are many breeds and colors that are interesting, such as the Lavender Orpington. I highly recommend that you check those out, and they are also excellent egg layers (allegedly).

I don't think chickens are bald, if you are referring to the fact that chickens are not covered in hair, which they are not, but feathers are similar enough to hair in makeup (keratin) and use that I do consider them functionally hair. However, it is possible for chickens to not have feathers on all or parts of their body, as there are several breeds that have those traits on purpose.

I am not sure of the egg rates decreasing. I suppose I will have to do further research on the topic.

If this Gertrude will give me something to believe in, then I may believe in her. For now she will remain as she is, a name.

How to Make a Masterlist

Part 1: The Basics

Step 1: Open tumblr on a computer or laptop. It is possible to make a masterlist on a smartphone, but it’s much more difficult and doesn’t turn out as nicely as a masterlist made on a computer.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 2: Create a new post using the ‘Text’ option.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 3: Title your masterlist.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 4: Create a heading. This step is completely optional, but I would recommend this step if you’d like to inform your followers on how often you update.

Part 2: Organizing Your Masterlist

Step 5: If you write for multiple fandoms, I would start by titling each one. This is optional, but I prefer to make these titles bold, italicized, and I select the ‘Header’ option, although this is entirely optional. If you only write for one fandom, skip this step.

Step 6: Separate your writing by style. Once again, this is entirely optional. I find it makes the masterlist much easier to navigate, though. I divide my writing into five sections; blurbs, imagines, smut, series, and miscellaneous. If you write for multiple fandoms, make sure to create these categories individually under each header.

Step 7: List each character who has a post written for them under the proper category.

Step 8: List all your works under the correct category and character.

Part 3: Inserting Links

Step 9: Open a new tab, and scroll to the first writing on your list.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 10: Hover over the top right corner of the white box until you see a fold down appear.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 11: Right click the gray fold down. If you are using a laptop without a mouse, click with two fingers at the same time. A pop-up list will appear.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 12: Select the option ‘Copy Link’.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 13: Return to your other tab (the one with the masterlist).

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 14: Highlight the title of the link you just copied, and click the option that looks like a diagonal infinity sign.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 15: A blank box will appear. Paste the link you copied into this box, then select ‘Done’.

How To Make A Masterlist

Step 16: Repeat steps 9-15 with each writing. This may take a while, but it will make your writings much easier to navigate for both you and your followers!

I hope this helped anyone who was struggling with creating a masterlist. Please, feel free to let me know if you have any questions or need any clarification! I’d be happy to help. :-)

Do you have any ocs for your fandoms?

Hey Ruby!

You’ve asked me a rabbit hole of a question. The short answer: yes. The long answer? Also yes, but with significantly more words than this one post will afford me

I’ve honestly been considering opening up some pages for my characters, but I feel like it might distract from the other writing projects that I have in mind {I have concepts of a plan guys I swear} and if you want me to, I’d be totally down!

I have characters for a multitude of fandoms, including Harry Potter {specifically Fantastic Beasts as well as the Marauders era}, My Hero {embarrassingly}, Haikyuu, JJK, Demonslayer, and quite a few others.

Lmk if I should share!

the thing about bullets is that you can touch them and it's fine, but if they're shot by a gun they get so fast they can kill you. it's the speed that does the killing. so much of martial conflict is just using speed to harm one another

Part 2 of Celebrification

Masterlist | Entire Work | Previous Part | Next Part

Word Count: 465

Overture [content]

A long table sits in the middle of a dimly lit room with bare walls. The floor is grey concrete, as are the walls, and the only source of light comes from a single pendant light hanging directly above the table. The door is quite ordinary, and there are no windows. The room is devoid of any information regarding location, or anything that could signal time. It is the very picture of a blank slate, with exception to the three chairs that sit at the table, facing the audience.

From stage left to stage right, one chair is carved delicately, designed charmingly, and has no blemishes to the naked eye. It has gorgeous designs, perhaps hand painted and carved on, with love. The next to the right has still been carved with the same level of thought, but the designs have begun to fade with use, and it appears as though one of the chair legs are shorter than the others, but only enough to prove a nuisance. The final chair to the right is in an astonishing state of disrepair. It still provides its job, to hold a person, but the designs are so faded and chipped that at first glance, it seems to be marred with scars replicating a human’s. It is important to state that all these chairs contain similarities, and that perhaps, long ago, they were all part of one set.

The light flickers just a bit brighter, and the door opens, with three ladies walking in from upstage right, taking what seems to be their predetermined seats. They are all blonde and of average height, but of different ages. When they reach their seats, they all smile to greet each other silently. The one to take her seat at the newest looking chair is the youngest, with no wrinkles on her skin, and a youthful glow. In the middle chair, sits the lady that is neither young nor old, perhaps closer to young, but her skin has lost its glow, and her smile does not quite reach her eyes. The oldest woman sits in the chair that is most in disrepair, the rightmost. She has smile lines, and yet her eyes are dull, a tell of experiencing a life many would not have the gall to withstand.

The ladies begin chatting amongst themselves, although the conversation appears to be led mostly by the youngest, with the middle and eldest listening to her, nodding along, placated by the mystery of youth and innocence. Music, reminiscent of some mainstream pop plays faintly in the background, and the lights dim slowly, and the music fades.

Silence.

The curtain closes, and then opens, with only the youngest in the leftmost chair. She looks around and appears shocked that she is the only one left.

it's funny although a little exasperating how artists designing "princess" or medieval-esque gowns really do not understand how those types of clothes are constructed. We're all so used to modern day garments that are like... all sewn together in one layer of cloth, nobody seems to realize all of the bits and pieces were actually attached in layers.

So like look at this mid-1400's fit:

It's Funny Although A Little Exasperating How Artists Designing "princess" Or Medieval-esque Gowns Really
It's Funny Although A Little Exasperating How Artists Designing "princess" Or Medieval-esque Gowns Really

to get the effect of that orange gown, you've got

chemise next to the skin like a slip (not visible here) (sometimes you let a bit of this show at the neckline) (the point is not to sweat into your nice clothes and ruin them)

kirtle, or undergown. (your basic dress, acceptable to be seen by other people) this is the puffing bits visible at the elbow, cleavage, and slashed sleeve. It's a whole ass dress in there. Square neckline usually. In the left picture it's probably the mustard yellow layer on the standing figure.

coat, or gown. This is the orange diamond pattern part. It's also the bit of darker color visible in the V of the neckline.

surcoat, or sleeveless overgown. THIS is the yellow tapestry print. In the left picture it's the long printed blue dress on the standing figure

if you want to get really fancy you can add basically a kerchief or netting over the bare neck/shoulders. It can be tucked into the neckline or it can sit on top. That's called a partlet.

the best I can tell you is that they were technically in a mini-ice-age during this era. Still looks hot as balls though.

Coats and surcoats are really more for rich people though, normal folks will be wearing this look:

tbh I have a trapeze dress from target that looks exactly like that pale blue one. ye olden t-shirt dress.

so now look here:

It's Funny Although A Little Exasperating How Artists Designing "princess" Or Medieval-esque Gowns Really

(this is a princess btw) both pieces are made of the same blue material so it looks as if it's all one dress, but it's not. The sleeves you're seeing are part of the gown/coat, and the ermine fur lined section on top is a sideless overgown/surcoat. You can tell she's rich as fuck because she's got MORE of that fur on the inside of the surcoat hem.

okay so now look at these guys.

Left image (that's Mary Magdelene by the way) you can see the white bottom layer peeking out at the neckline. That's a white chemise (you know, underwear). The black cloth you see behind her chest lacing is a triangular panel pinned there to Look Cool tm. We can call that bit the stomacher. Over the white underwear is the kirtle (undergown) in red patterned velvet, and over the kirtle is a gown in black. Right image is the same basic idea--you can see the base kirtle layer with a red gown laced over it. She may or may not have a stomacher behind her lacing, but I'm guessing not.

I've kind of lost the plot now and I'm just showing you images, sorry. IN CONCLUSION:

It's Funny Although A Little Exasperating How Artists Designing "princess" Or Medieval-esque Gowns Really

you can tell she's a queen because she's got bits I don't even know the NAMES of in this thing. Is that white bit a vest? Is she wearing a vest OVER her sideless surcoat? Girl you do not need this many layers!

thinking about daichi, suga and asahi joining karasuno for its reputation while the team was at its lowest, never giving up or letting go. taking over and training to the point where dadchi was real. backbone, foundation, nurturance but haunted by vague hopelessness that passed down. a team they believed was out of seijoh's league but won against, realised atleast 3 consecutive captains desires of making it to nationals AND THEN consistently staying there, one of the best in the country. top 8, top 16, TOP THREE. thats the team they joined. the team they built. thinking about Ukai and Takeda taking a new batch of students with hopes and dreams just like these boys when they started - a powerhouse - strongest in the prefecture maybe even - TO WATCH THEIR ALUMNI play professional volleyball, be the best in the WORLD.
