Where Every Scroll is a New Adventure
Cow Chibi for a client!
Finished commission for a client on Discord! I had much fun with this one, because the background was such a relaxing task to work on. Painting hills and gras is just therapeutic, I don't really know why. Also I found a new brush to shade fur with and it went sooo smooth... this commission was like the fastest one I ever completed in that size/level of detail x)
"The wolf within"
An older reference sheet of mine of my viking character, Hati. She's a so called úlfheðinn (wolf-skinned or wolf-coat). I took some artistic freedom when it came to her clothes, since I wanted to fulfill a certain vision. Also the world she's coming from is not exactly Scandinavian, but more a fictional version in it's own kingdom. Maybe one day I'll create more lore for her world! I'm just... slow. There's so many OCs to attend to q_q
Schmetterlingskunde My girlfriends fursona and her uncle, one of my OCs, exploring butterflies in the desert. Funnily enough, the butterfly in his hands is colored like my fursona :P This is an older piece, maybe from a few months ago if I remember correctly. I still like the shading and vibe it gives off, although there are some mistakes I'd like to tackle the next time I do something similar.
Finally was able to finish a reference sheet (actually, it was finished quite some time ago and I never exported the PNG file... whoops) for my character Johnny! He was around for quite some time before finally recieving an updated reference sheet... he was quite overdue for that one. So, Johnny has quite the troubled backstory, but finally got his redemption arc in a roleplay he stars in... hehe. He grew up in Scotland during the 50s and 60s, before fleeing to Germany when he was aroud 14 years old. Due to the nature of his parents, he's a hybrid between a vampire (mothers side) and demon (fathers side). His parents have designs as well, but to be quite honest... they're old & I haven't come around to give them proper references yet. Whoops. If you're interested in reading more about him, he has a Toyhouse page! https://toyhou.se/2727673.johnny
"Der Heiligenschein des Ergebenen" An older piece I dug up and decided to upload here as well. It's a more story-heavy piece as it depicts a scene from a story I've been working on and off for several years now. War and it's people fascinated and frightened me since I was little. My family came from all sorts of places, including Germany and Poland, making the era of WW2 so much more personal for myself and them. This scene depicts Jonas, my WW2 pilot character, who decided to flee from Germany at the later period of the ongoing war. He crashlanded in England and was captured, turning himself in essentially, to free himself from the grasp that tortured the country for so long. Working with such heavy topics is another way to work through your families and countries history, exploring what happened and understanding the people from times long ago to a certain extend.
glowing eyes hide sadness way better
A character I originally intended to be for the Top Gun universe after re-watching Top Gun:Maverick like 4 times in the theaters with my girlfriend. Though he outgrew only being considered a character living in an rather enclosed universe, so I mixed in some... well, creative aspects as well. It's more symbolic than anything, but still fits his character and backstory a lot. There's some heavy topics regarding his life, especially his childhood and relationship with his parents, but if I find the time to, I'll eventually tackle "fake screenshot" artworks with scenes from his early life :-)
sundowns martyr
Another digital drawing featuring Korpus. I told ya, he's often enough featured in my duller and color deprived artworks. The background was created with a blurred photograph of a lake and the forest I found on Google the other day. Since I loved the color aesthetic I used the image to create this rather... bland background which started to fit even more with the character in the foreground. The posing and lightning felt quite fitting for Korpus.
"Schau dich an! Was ist nur aus dir geworden? Hast du auch alles brav in dich hineingefressen? Willst du dich auf Raten nun selbst ermorden, Um die magren Jahre endlich zu vergessen?
Selbst völlig nackt Fühlst du dich falsch angezogen, Zu schwer bepackt Und irgendwie, als wärest du auf Drogen."
Inspired by ASPs "Panzerhaus", I made this digital painting of my original character, a sheep caprisces (species by my girlfriend) 'Korpus'. He's quite often featured in my more melancholic, tragic & duller works as his backstory is tainted by many things he's not fully responsible for.
This is a slightly older piece, yet I'm still in love with it, bumps and mistaked considered.
