a contest of who is the prettiest mother in school

Zach didn't go to school much due to his training and other things, most of his education at home he only went to school to pretend more than anything because his academic level was already very advanced for his age.

Poor Zach had to go to school two days in a row and the second day was the contest. Zach, confident that he would not go the next day, wrote down his mother so as not to raise suspicions since he rarely came.

Zach's mother Cassandra didn't know there was a beauty contest at school and she was just leaving some photo shoots when they called her from school because she was the only participant missing (Zach wanted to die because of it as a child)

Linda, the mother of the Kratts brothers, won second place and Cassandra won first place without much effort.

Zach tried not to cry because he didn't want his mother to hit him or scold him for having entered her in the contest, but Cassandra let it go because there were a lot of people.

Linda Kratt loves Cassandra because she is pretty and she admires him from afar because they never talked much but she still adores him (even though she doesn't know what Zach does to her otherwise she wouldn't even see Cassandra)

Martin and Chris are very happy because their mother won 2nd place

Adam Walton, Zach's father, is a very, very wealthy person and a good martial arts fighter, and he loves animals with his heart.

Cassandra varmitech she is literally very strong a great martial arts fighter a good engineer and scientist although she does not use her skills for technology she has a lot of money

Cassandra fell in love with Adam because of his physical fighting skills. She didn't care about his feelings for animals. She simply wanted someone to get along with. So she put up with animals since Cassandra didn't like animals. After losing one, she didn't want to. know nothing more about them

Adam is someone who is relaxed but adventurous. He is good at martial arts and loves to climb and loves animals. He knows a lot about them and likes to study them, but mostly in books.

Cassandra and Adam are not married and Adam did not know that he had a son since at a certain point in Adam's life he had surgery to avoid having children but Zach already existed.

Zach takes his mother's last name because she wanted a child with Adam, the only person she loved, but she didn't want said man in her life. It's complicated.

He met his father as an adult after some events, Zach cannot help but compare Chris and his father because they have the same tastes.

Picture this….a 1920s Gatsby AU where Zach is Jay and he’s pining over Violet who’s Daisy, but Violet’s not an ass and leaves Travis (Tom). Violet owns up to her feelings for Zach and commits to him. She lets her husband Travis have his side chick in return for a quiet divorce and custody of their daughter.

And… Zach doesn’t die! They end up together living happily ever after…oh and the daughter Daisy had, well with Zach and Violet that’s actually Zach’s child, Travis never knew it. And Nick’s character is Jimmy Z or Chris or Martin, and Jordan is Aviva or Koki.

Yes this is an outlandish idea, but I like it. This movie means the world to me, and the book was one I hated in high school but have come to appreciate as an adult…I’d be butchering the storyline but I hope no one will hate for it!

I can just imagine Zach throwing all these elaborate parties hoping Violet will show up….he buys the house across from Violet, and the scene with the shirts 😭, oh it’s beautiful…

And the music, so many of the songs are already ones I use for Zach and Violet inspo!

Just peaked at the Wild Kratts tag on A03, and the amount of k-cest I saw is…disturbing. My live reaction:

I have not been in the tag for so long except to read some works mutuals have posted and to post my own work, but I decided to go into the tags and…yeah….not pleasant. I am so scared to write and post, but seeing all of that…well, I can’t let it stand.

Even if my writing is crap I’m going to start posting more pieces to A03 again. Just to fill the tag with something that’s not k-cest. Summary:

Martin was the self-sacrificial type. He was the one who woke up every night just to pull Chris out of a nightmare. He was the one who tested the more questionable technology Aviva whipped up. He was the one who took on extra tasks when someone wasn’t feeling well. He was the one who would take the blame when the brothers landed themselves in trouble. He was the one who would carry the burdens of everyone else around him, while locking his own away in a dark corner, and never once complain. And Chris knew for a fact, the only reason Martin didn’t trade places with him when Diego dragged him away and locked him within his own mind was because his brother couldn’t work miracles. But Chris didn’t think he could share this burden with Martin. He decided he wouldn’t even give him the choice.

Hi!!! Thank you so much for this question! I’m going to let Zach answer this one! This answer technically has two parts, so I’ll post part 1 here, and I’ll tag you in part 2 as soon as I finish it!

Zach’s Response

Well, we technically have 2 proposals…and I proposed both times. The first time was March 16st, 2014. Violet and I had just found out we were pregnant with Alexandria, and I wanted to ensure the safety and security of Violet and the baby if anything were to happen to me.

I had been planning to propose to Violet for a while, I’d made a ring for her and had it hidden in my closet, waiting for the right time to propose. I tentatively planned to propose to her on her 23rd birthday, on April 22nd, 2014.

But one unexpected, high-risk pregnancy later, and I knew it could not wait. I wanted to propose to her, I wanted to marry her, I wanted to take care of Violet and the baby, I wanted to properly start our lives together. So, I knew the first step was proposing.

I was an absolute mess when I proposed. I wanted to make the moment so romantic and special, but I panicked…I just had to do it. So, I walked into the closet, pulled the ring out…and walked into our master bathroom…where Violet was experiencing a horrible bout of morning sickness.

I should have just walked out, left her alone and waited until she was feeling better, but she looked up at me from her curled position on the floor by the toilet and saw the triangular ring box I’d fashioned for the ring.

“Zach? What’s that?” She croaked, shakily pulling herself into a sitting position.

I tried to hide the box behind me, nervousness creeping into my voice, “I…uhhh, it’s nothing…”

Violet started becoming annoyed with me: “Zach…I can see it, if I can see it that means it’s not ‘nothing,’ what is it?”

I hesitantly pulled the box out from behind me, and I lowered myself to the bathroom floor in front of her on one knee, “I wanted this to be perfect…But…I can’t wait…I wanna take care of you, I wanna take care of our baby…I wanna be with you forever…”

Violet was staring at me with tears in her eyes and her mouth dropped open as I opened the box and said, “Violet Virginia Tyler, will you marry me?”

Violet couldn’t get any words out for a moment, she just started crying and looked between my face and the ring. She finally choked out, “yes, of course I’ll marry you, Zach! Ohhhh, I’ve dreamed of this for so long, Zach! Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I love you, so much!”

I shakily pulled out the ring and slipped it onto her finger, then she threw her arms around me in a tight hug. She cried and mumbled about how much she loved me against my chest as I stroked her hair, crying into her shoulder, professing my love for her, too.

We remain like this until…well…she became sick again. She pulled away from me and I had to fight the urge not to become ill myself, but I refused to leave her in that moment. I just rubbed her back, and we waited for it to pass.

After she finished being ill she looked at me with a weary expression, “Zach, I’m so happy, please don’t take this the wrong way, but…couldn’t you have waited until I was done being sick…”

I smirked at her, cupping her chin in my hand, “you’re sick all day, if I waited I would never have proposed.”

Violet snorted, “well, that’s true, we wouldn’t want that, and honestly, I don’t care…we’re engaged, we’re gonna get married, we’re having a baby, we’re gonna be a family, and I couldn’t be happier.”

Oh he's a little more than that 🤭 SPOILER FOR MY WILD KRATTS X WOLF WALKER AU BELOW

Jimmy's a fae!! He originally helped changelings transfer back to the fae realm but since he was around towns so much he grew fond of humans, he saw that they weren't just destructive forces against nature they just needed guidance on how to live with it! So he started bouncing around towns and teaching them about the fae and nature and how to live in peace with both but he wasn't afraid to get rid of anyone who refused to respect it. He knows lots of shape shifting spells, hence how he never gets recognized, but his main animal is a Red Kite, a species of Irish hawk! In his fae form he has feathers on his face and arms. He also has hawk legs and wings and is a very capable flier. He met Koki when she was a little kid and he was using a spell to look different and she was lost so he helped her get back home. He liked the people from her village so kept an eye on things for a bit before she became an orphan and then he said screw it and turning into a younger version of his normal red head self and joined the orphanage to help keep everyone safe and teach this village like he'd done others, he didn't intend to stay as long as he did but he just fit right in and became really good friends with Koki to the point he actually told her about him being a fae. He also knows Chris! He doesn't like know know him but they're aware of each other since they're both creatures of the woods. He also picked up cartography so that he could keep people away from fae areas and out of other creatures territories. That's one of the problems he has with Zack and his dad is that they don't care. They go where they want and then blame him for "not warning them" when a soldier mysteriously goes missing.

In the movie it takes place in a little Irish town where the British have invaded and built massive stone walls around it and are tearing down the forests that used to surround it. The guy in charge is a religious man called The Lord Protector who believes the God from the Bible wants him to destroy everything wild so they can claim it as there own for Gods glory.

My au version is Zach is the son of the Lord Protector and obviously an inventor who deeply envies Aviva cause the OG town people ADORE Koki and Aviva. They actually built them their own little repair shop and blacksmithing shop but both were later taken from them by British soldiers under Zach's orders.

Koki's very buff. (But that's my all around head cannon lol) Especially cause of her black smithing. She has some minor scars all up her arms from her work but she proudly shows them off. She's one of the best black smiths out there and everyone knows it. People were so mad about Zach shutting down her and Aviva's shops they almost rioted but they both calmed everyone down and told them it wasn't worth anyone getting hurt over but Koki's secretly very salty about it and spits on the ground any time she hears Zach's name or thinks about him. She also dabbles in architecture and has some decent medical knowledge from her mother who was a doctor before she died. Once she lost her job she started helping the farmers with their sheep and selling medicinal herbs for super cheap. Zach once tried to claim she was a witch but people got so angry he had to publicly apologize less they stormed the castle.

Jimmy's weird. He's nice and all, laid back but always willing to help, quite jumpy but he's SUPER into his job. He seems to know where things are before they've even been discovered. Martin once caught him drawing up a map for an area they'd never been too and when they went there a few days later it was completely accurate. Jimmy claimed he'd been there a few days before but Martin has his suspicions. He sometimes jokes the forest tells him things but the WK crew gets the feeling it might not be a joke. Before the walls were built Jimmy would sometimes go off into the woods for the night or even a few days here and there but he always came back, and usually with a sweet treat! Once Aviva saw him sleeping in the middle of the woods and shook him awake and swears on her life when he opened his eyes she could see the sky in them before they turned back to their normal blueish green. K̶o̶k̶i̶ k̶n̶o̶w̶s̶. But no one bugs him too much about it because he really is just a chill guy and him being a little funky pays off since he somehow ALWAYS knows where to find whatever herb or mushroom or other plant they may want. There's been a few times he's basically begged them never to enter a certain area of the woods and they follow his rules religiously and without question. He REALLY doesn't like Zach. He always just uses the reasons everyone else has for not liking the guy but there's something in his eyes. In his blank stare at the guy. Like he's waiting for his dues to catch up with him. Like he knows they will.

Aviva. Our icon. She's always creating little toys and trinkets. She's an AMAZING wood carver. She taught herself everything she knows. She and Koki love to bounce ideas off each other and work together to build things. She actually tried to be Zach's friend when he first showed up but he was too bitter and jealous. She doesn't believe in anything. No ghosts no spirits no fae no Selkies nada. Science can explain everything and she can't be convinced otherwise. Till she sees it for herself 🤫. She hates what the British are doing but doesn't want anyone to get hurt. She's the older sister of the group while Koki's the mom because while Aviva has more common sense than the boys she disregards it easily in the name of curiosity and who's gonna stop me?

So I headcannon that Jimmy and Zack are like distant cousins from the same huge rich family tree and a random idea I had was like what if a 39 clues type situation happened and they had to team up lol, not sure how it would work but it's funny to think about

Wild kratts x Wolf walker au

For context a wolf walker is similar to a werewolf except they look completely human till they fall asleep and their soul basically leaves their body and becomes a wolf but they can go back into their body whenever they want but they have to be near it, as in right in front of it. They can transform normal people by biting them, talk/communicate with normal wolves and a little with other animals ((but not in the "oh they're actually talking" kind of way in the mutual understanding kind of way)), they can see scent trails, and heal injuries.

So uh just spit balling here but,

Martins an orphan in this au (he and Chris aren't biologically related in this but we all know they're tied together by soul 😌) along with Koki Aviva and Jimmy and they all work together to provide for themselves and everyone else in their little dirty orphanage.

Martin does lots of things but usually gathers herbs and mushrooms (and consistently brings back injured animals that they all nurse back to health before returning them to the woods)

Jimmy is a cartographer which helps them all get out of the village without many problems

Aviva's an inventor and Koki's a blacksmith, a skill she got from one of her parents before they died 🤷, but they're both belittled and looked down upon because they're women and this takes place in ye olden days.

Chris is a wolf walker and his mom is/has been asleep for awhile cause her wolf self mysteriously hasn't returned. (For context look up the movie or watch it on daily motion!) He's of course a sassy little wild child with little to no concept of danger and while he enjoys the company of the wolves he gets cripplingly lonely.

Chris and Martin meet when Martin finds a wolf caught in a trap. It's dark brown with green eyes and snarling mad at him. Luckily Martin has no sense of danger either and pretty much jump scares the poor thing but jumping on it and wrapping his coat around it's head before prying off the trap and clambering up a tree to avoid losing a limb. It shakes off the coat and takes off. Martins happy with this outcome. A few days later however he gets caught in a rope trap. He's thinking "Dang this sucks 😑" when that same wolf shows up. Martin loves animals but he has enough common sense to realize this situation is not ideal. Especially when it starts jumping and snapping at him. He flails trying to get himself free and it bites him on accident and he accidentally kicks it. It jumps away with a whine before falling back and with one big jump manges to snap the rope and set him free. They're at a stand still for a moment before it runs away and Martin retreats back to the confines of the medieval town.

Imagine his shock when he wakes up in the middle of the night to a little boy howling over him, gold circling his arm. They stare at each other. The boy just looks wild in nature. Sticks and leaves in his hair, Martin's pretty sure there's some pebbles in there too. His hands and feet are dark brown, tough and calloused. His nails are sharp to match his canines, even in human shape he looks like a wolf. Martin isn't sure what to say so he looks at his healed arm and simply says thank you for healing his bite. The boy simply frowns and snarkily tells him to stay out of the woods if he doesn't like being bit and leaves. Of course he goes back to the woods the very next day and the boy is waiting for him.

I'll do a whole movie rewrite if anyone's interested 🤷

Okay so I've been out of motivation but still wanna talk so HEADCANNON TIME:

The Kratt Bros!

1. Mk was more smart creatively in school while Ck was more smart academically (not based on anything irl)

2. Mk Stims. Alot. Specifically with his hands and legs. More on his hands though , Chris usually helps Martin out with it

3. Both bros are Extremely protective of each other. Just show it in different ways. Martin is the "I'll shield you" way and Chris is in the "I'll punch them if they try ANYTHING" way. Actually scratch that, the both of them are both ways! Just one side they show more than the other

4. Chris hates Physical affection, and doesn't like it when the rest of the Tourtuga crew just try to give him a hug or accidentally rest on his shoulder, he'll immediately ask for you to back away or he'll slowly move away himself

Not with Martin though, His older bro can be as physically affectionate as he wants towards him! And all though Chris just says he "doesn't mind" when the crew asks, in reality, Chris loves it. And Martin knows. He just doesn't like showing it (unless it's just the two of them)

How the brothers came to be.

It was about 200+ years ago, when there were two brothers living with their mother and father in a kingdom surrounded by a massive forest. As kids, The Kratt bros were seen as odd by the rest of the kids and townspeople. Willing to pass the kingdom walls and venture into the dangers of the forest. Everyone else saw it as so anyway. To them, it was their only place of freedom. The only place they could let loose and get away from the high standards of the Kingdom. Their mother had a hard time keeping them under control either. They'd just sneak out to go to that forest no matter what she did. So she didn't even try. But as they got older.. they started conforming to the rest of the kingdom's wishes. Yet went to the forest every now and then.

The two Kratts were now young adults. Working on the Kingdom's Guard. Chris as a Archer and Martin as a swordsman. And although they both enjoyed their lives. They felt like it wasn't their true calling. Like their hearts longed for something more. It was like this for a few years until.. the kingdom's king at the time, Planned to destroy the forest to expand the kingdom. Which the two brothers were extremely against. They tried to convince everyone, anyone, but no one would listen. So, on the day of the forest's destruction. They fought for it themselves. It took weeks of planning, but they had sabotaged The plans and the forest was saved. Well.. for the most part. A significant part was still damaged. Caught ablaze. As the Rivers dried up and the leaves became nothing but ash. All though they had stopped it from getting worse. The harm done was already too much for them.

Chris remembers the way martin saw the river. All the fish were dead.. he loved swimming in the waters. And he was hurt too, seeing the trees he used to climb on now lifeless. Martin then just went on his knees. And prayed to mother nature herself. With all the power he had. Chris was a little surprised at first, but joined his older brother.

And To their shock, she responded. She'd been watching since they were young actually. Seeing their souls was as in tune with her creation as she was.. so. The winds blew and the rain fell.. as a drop of ancient power was bestowed on them both.

The power, of the gods themselves.
