I'm going to watch the cartoon, 2001, and 2016 versions of the Tick and then write a review about how I think comedy is a better way of deconstructing the superhero genre than certain gory superhero shows.

(Pretty sure the comics will be different but I'll get to that much later.)

There's a really cool point in this if you will bear with me, okay!

Peter Serafinowicz voices Death in the new audio books and in the new The Amazing Maurice, right? He's kind of like the new official Death in productions now like Christopher Lee was.

BUT guess what other show he was on that is a complete tonal shift and I didn't even realize it was him? He was The Tick in the Amazon Prime show!!! I absolutely LOVED this show!

(The bastard hid his britishness)

And now get this!

Sir David Jason played Rincwind in the Colour of Magic adaptation, okay? Well he also played Albert in the Hogfather Adaption!

There were a few other actors that where in both as well.

My point is:

Actors play in different things and everytime I discover this I get really excited for no reason 🙃.

I just feel like they’d clash together pretty well and Chris would teach Tick about the healthy things he could eat. He’d probably listen to the Blue Yonder talk about Arthur and they’d share stories about their friends.

And Tick would totally catch on to the last name thing and try it on everybody he knew had a last name

Last night I had a dream where Munkustrap was in a pixelated computer game and he had to defeat Thrakkorzog or something. He shot out electric shocks when you pressed X and coughed up a hairball when you pressed space. “Extra Nerdy” was his big move and it’d put the enemy to sleep for a moment.

It was eventful

What if the tick was actually immortal? What if he was still around when his sidekick got old? What if Arthur died of old age? What would The Tick do then? Imagine, Tick seeing his most favorite person in the world slowly pass away
