Hey, um. So.
Solar Opposites has the best queer representation out of any entertainment/media. Not even kidding. Like... I see these stupid little cartoon aliens and I think... wow. They get me.
Not only is Terry and Korvo's relationship actually well crafted and entertaining and heartfelt and amusing and wholesome, but also just the way in which Shlorpians (particularly seen w/ the replicants) interpret gender is just so... validating, I suppose? ALSO like... All of them are automatically bi queens because of how gender is essentially not a thing to them..1>!/!??
Making the protagonists a monoecious plant species is alone a very fun and interesting idea, but then adding to it the idea that they simply choose whether to be considered a he or a she without any real consequence of their selection other than personal aesthetics makes the whole thing kind of unexplainably uplifting.

Had the sudden urge to draw the best couple of married plants in the whole galaxy. Was gonna be a doodle but wound up being the first drawing I’ve fully colored and shaded in I don’t freaking know how long. I’m happy with how I captured Korvo’s big fuck me eyes. And I think those shorts look swag af on Terry. You can buy that shirt he’s wearing on Amazon I suppose.
Also idk how the flip to shade stuff so I kinda just abused Procreate’s burn filter. Time to never draw ever again

Korvo Solar headcanons!!
1. Definitely listen to "divorced dad rock" when he's alone or while fixing the ship. He's kinda ashamed of it, so he will never admit it.
2. Definitely NOT a Hufflepuff. He is actually a Ravenclaw, but refuse to believe it.
3. Definitely has religious trauma. I mean look at him.
4. Was obsessed with Mulan for a few months. He couldn't stop playing and singing I'll Make a Man Out of You, so Terry and replicants had to wear earplugs at some point.
5. His love language is acts of service
6. Claims to love black, bitter coffee, but actually he likes better Terry's very sweet coffe with milk, syroups and bunch of extras. I imagine that whenever they order coffee, Korvo is just holding his cup of black coffee and sips from Terry's cup all the time.
7. Absolutely love to cuddle.
8. Sometimes whem him and Terry have "husbands only movie night" Korvo intentionally chooses to watch a horror movie so he can cuddle Terry whenever he's scared.
