Fame and Fortune(are nothing compared to you) Chapter 1

Keith just got a job on a movie called The Countdown and honestly, he has no idea what it's about, but money is money. As he walks onto the set, the first thing he notices is that 'holy shit this is going to be cool', because renowned action movie director Takashi Shiro is directing this movie. As he looks around, he can't help but wonder what it would be like if he was an actor instead of a stunt double. Then a loud crash sounds behind him. Keith whips around to see an objectively attractive man. He has bright blue eyes, wavy brown hair, and a smirk that could make knees give out. His legs were lean and muscular, almost lanky, and his shirt stretched across his chest in a way that alluded to the strength of the person underneath. He didn't know if he had ever seen a man that attractive. What? He does have eyes! "Are you okay?" Keith questions, not sure where he had seen the man before.
"Huh? Oh! Yeah, I'm fine, just a clumsy moment." the man replies.
“I feel like I know you from somewhere." Keith blurts out.
The unfairly pretty man laughs and says, "The name's Lance McClain." "Like the actor?" Keith asks dumbly, and immediately regrets it, but Lance just chuckles. "The one and only. And you?" Lance asks, "Or should I just call you Mullet?"
It takes Keith a minute to truly process what Lance just said. Unfortunately for him, Keith's mouth works faster than his brain and he blurts out. "It's not a mullet asshole!" Lance laughs, "Yeah right Billy Ray Cyrus." Keith bristles, "Keith. My name is Keith.” He replies as professionally as possible, but Lance just laughs. "I think I'll stick with Mullet.” he says.
Keith thinks he understands why people say never to meet your heroes. While Lance isn't his hero, he sure is let down by his personality. He's just hoping that he doesn't have to interact with him too often. "Please call me by my actual name.” Lance looks at him with a smirk, “Ooh is mullet mad?”
Keith glares at him and screeches, “Yes I’m fucking mad, you’re being a pretentious ass!” Lance seems to chill out a little bit at that.
“Ok I’m sorry. I was just trying to joke around with you.” he apologizes, “I really didn’t mean to offend you man.” Keith pauses. ‘Okay so he’s just trying to…. be friendly?’ He thinks, slightly confused as to how that's supposed to be funny.
He's opened his mouth to say something when Lance says, “What are you here for? You a crew member, producer, or what?”
‘Okay, I can work with this.’ Keith thinks and says, “I’m a stunt double.” Lance's face lights up. “That’s really cool man! I do my own stunts, so I know how difficult it is.” then he smirks, “We’ll have to see who can do the stunts better!” Keith smiles back, “Hope you like second place Mr. Movie star.”
Lance laughs, “I would hope the same for you, Mullet Man.” he retorts. And with that, Keith leaves to try and find the executive producer Allura. She told him to talk to her so that he could meet the actor who he was stunt doubling for.
A pretty white haired woman walks up to him and says, “Are you Keith Kogane? My name is Allura Queenston, I’m the executive producer for The Countdown.”
“Oh, I was looking for you.” Keith replies.
She motioned for Keith to follow her. “I would like you to meet the actor you will be stunt doubling for.” she looks him up and down, “You look just like him, minus the hair. We will need to get you a haircut, are you okay with that?” Keith pauses for a second. He's had to get haircuts for jobs before, and it’s always a possibility, so he’s not really surprised. Besides, he needs a haircut anyway. What Lance had called a ‘mullet’ was really just an overgrown mop that he hadn’t had time to cut. “Yeah, that’ll be fine.” he says, “What haircut will I be getting?” Allura looks at him, “You’ll be getting an undercut.” She answers.
Keith doesn’t know how to feel about that. “Ok, is that it?” “No, I believe that you will have to dye your hair non-permanently for some scenes towards the end of the movie.” ‘Okay, that’s not too much, I can work with this.’ Keith thinks as he walks with Allura. As he looks around, he notices that Lance is on the phone with somebody, and he looks either pissed off or distraught. No, both. Lance is almost crying, and it looks like the only reason that he isn’t yelling is because whatever's going on is private. He isn’t close enough to hear what Lance is saying, but quite frankly he doesn’t want to know. I mean, Lance is a pretentious ass who thinks that insulting people is funny.
Keith realizes that he's stopped walking to stare at Lance and hurries to catch up to Allura. They arrive at a very posh trailer with a name on the door. It reads: "Steven Yuen". Holy shit, that guy played Kester Kennedy in the movie Voltron. He costarred with Lance, who played Langston Sanchez.
Keith might not be the biggest fan of Lance, but he loved that movie. Allura knocks on the door. Keith hopes this isn’t another Lance situation. Steven walks out and smiles at him. “Hi I’m Steven, you must be Keith. It’s nice to meet you.” Keith felt relieved, maybe this guy will be nice. “It’s nice to meet you too, I loved you in Voltron.” He says professionally, and feels rather proud of the fact that he didn’t fanboy over Steven. Steven chuckled. “Thank you! I heard that you’re a very talented stunt double, what’s the biggest movie you’ve worked on?”
Keith thought for a moment. “It would have to be Watch Your Back.” Steven looked thoroughly impressed. “Wow! That movie had some very hardcore stunts.”
“Thanks, I’m looking forward to working with you on this movie.” Keith said. Allura walks over. “Keith, it’s time for your haircut, are you ready?” “You bet Allura!” Keith says, “See you later Steven.” Keith has some mixed feelings on this movie, but overall it doesn’t seem like it will be unbearable. He just really wants to beat Lance McClain at stunts, that asshole needs to be taken down a peg. He swears he will do the absolute best stunts on this entire damn movie. Suck it Lance.

This would obviously be a big project, so anyone who wants to be involved in script editing, placing audio, voice acting, etc. PLEASE reach out to me! Most importantly, I am LOOKING FOR VOICE ACTORS!! I imagine the male characters will be the hardest to find voices for, so lmk if you have the voice for that! doesn’t have to be exactly the same as the og as long as it fits the character, of course.
we would probably go episode-by-episode, my best way of communicating would be Instagram dms since I don’t have discord but we would also send emails/google drives of the files needed. Please dm me either here or on Instagram (same username) if you want to be involved!! Voice actors, I would appreciate a voice sample as well so I can properly cast you but we can wait until necessary. EVERYONE WILL GET CASTED!! I imagine we won’t get enough actors to fill each tiny role individually, so if you don’t get the role of paladin you’ll certainly be able to voice multiple side characters, so please stay on standby throughout the entire thing in case you get another opportunity to participate.

I hate to say it, but I was disappointed with Allura’s Paladin Vlog????
Like Allura is an amazing character and she could have talked about something else rather than roasting the paladins for 80%.
Things she could have talked about:
How she overcame someone on her team who is half Galra
How she feels running everything and how she’s managing after waking up 10,000 years later and suddenly being thrust into a war
How her and Lance felt about the switch and the bond they have piloting the blue lion
Shiro disappearing
How it feels for her and Coran to be the last Alteans
There’s so much that could have happened. I was into the paladin roast for one or two jokes, but then after that, it seemed like they almost portrayed her as mean/rude? She’s much better than that.
This just means we have to be on guard about the rest of the vlogs. I love Keith but he can’t be the only one with a deep/sympathetic vlog. Give everyone their due diligence

no one talk to me im only mildly emotional. this is it, y'all. last chapter. highlight reel includes: klance fluff, found family is found family, feel-good moments for both keith and lance independently, allura graduation, surprise appearance from supporting character.

Well, y’all, I lost again.
I still haven’t seen the Avengers Endgame yet but in this movie and the MCU, Romanogers isn’t canon in this universe when Black Widow sacrificed herself for Hawkeye to get the soul stone and Captain America decided to stay in the past to be with Peggy Carter. So I’ve taken another L. But I’ve been through that before when it comes to ships in TV and movies. Lion-O didn’t end up with Cheetara in Thundercats 2011, Superman and Wonder Woman’s romantic relationship along with New 52 got retconned in favor of that dreaded Rebirth and my all time favorite Kallura along with all the ships didn’t end up the endgame, the moment when Princess Allura briefly dated Lance and then sacrificed herself to save the universe and all of reality. I guess when it comes to the ships I like, I ended up losing. The only time I won is when Korrasami became canon on the Legend of Korra in 2014. To be honest, I don’t know what to say anymore at this point. The only way I’ll keep those ships alive is through fanfic. Until they make more shows where my favorite ships will be the endgame in the future, they’ll always be canon in my head and more importantly, my heart. Until next time....

Kallura/Plance Season 8 Fanfic Challenge/Request
So with that being said, I challenge/request someone to do a Kallura/Plance fanfic take on season 8 with Keith and Allura resolving their issues with each other and develop their relationship into romance and after the final battle, Allura survives after sacrificing herself to save the universe and she and Keith getting married becoming the King & Queen of the Galra and Alteans bringing peace and prosperity to the entire universe. And on that, find a love interest for Romelle. She could be either straight, lesbian or bisexual.
My Reaction to VLD Season 8.
I have to be completely honest with all y’all. When the 8th season of Voltron Legendary Defender came out, I skipped it to the final episode and boy was I pissed, angry, sad and heartbroken. The entire show became another reboot epic fail like Thundercats 2011. Not only that Kallura didn’t become canon in the end when the creators of the show paired Allura with Lance, they killed her off for their own petty reasons. In the end of the Shipping Wars, it turned out that all ships are casualties and the fandom lose. So yeah, we took a major L. Nobody wins in the end.
I decided that from now on until someone makes another Voltron cartoon that’ll top that monstrosity that is Voltron Legendary Defender, I’ll stick with the original Voltron from the 80′s and Go Lion from Japan because they are a million times better than that damn reboot from Netflix because seasons from 4 all the way to the 8 turned it into biggest piece of crap and all the characters have been botched very badly, mainly Keith and Allura! Sorry. I’m just gettin’ it out of my system.
And yeah, we were wrong for being toxic fans over characters and ships. One day, we’ll be better human beings and fans. Season 8 has been our punishment for behaving the way we did. We’ll try hard to make sure that it never happens again. So....our bad!
And to Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos, I must speak on behalf of the Voltron fandom since 1984 when I say that you didn’t ruin our childhood,both of y’all broke all of our hearts and make us love, cherish and appreciated the original Voltron Defender Of The Universe even more because it’ll always be better than your creation Voltron Legendary Defender. Thanks but no thanks. And you get millions of middle fingers and smiles from us as our way of showing how much we appreciated y’all and how much effort you put into it. Nuff said.

I’d like to get this off my chest
Ever since I watched the 7th season of Voltron Legendary Defender, I’ve been thinking about Kallura while hoping that they would develop and improve their relationship and hoping that Keith and Allura would kiss each other in the lips in the end despite the creators and writers pushing for Allurance but I need to be completely honest with you. The main reason why I wanted Kallura to be canon because of what happened with the Thundercats 2011.
On that show, I wanted Lion-O and Cheetara to be canon but instead the creators put her with Tygra in the end. That’s where the show went downhill and the characters suffered character assassinations after the other with Pumyra betraying Lion-O in the end which led to show’s fatal demise. After hearing about what the creators had in store for season 2, I didn’t like it one bit and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Which is why I’m planning to write a fanfic about my take on season 2.
After watching VLD, I was hoping that it would different as so far it lived up to my expectation until Keith left the team on season 4. I only watched seasons 4 and 5 once and never watched them again until Keith came back in season 6 as the Paladin of the Black Lion. I’ve watched season 7 and despite some of the Kallura moments, the creators pushed hard for Allurance and I’ve suffered for it because I desperately wanted Keith and Allura to be romantic and hopefully he’ll give her a wholehearted apology for all the mean things he said to her about Alfor and Lotor. While at the same time, I’ve maintained the fact that fighting and bullying people over ships can only make things worse, which is why I refuse to bash over ships while hoping and praying that Kallura will be canon like all the Voltron incarnations in the past, like it’s a tradition.
So I’ll tell you what. If Kallura is canon on VLD, I’ll be happy. If not, me and my fellow Kallura shippers will admit defeat and tell the world that we’ve done our best. That’s all I can say for now. And promise you that none of us fans will survive season 8.
Allura wants Keith to come back on season 6.
