the most iconic trial of sun/moon
story stuff under the cut for those who are curious
Characters are from my dragon-only nuzlocke of Pokemon moon. in this trial I did not have my salamence, Ikaris, (at the time he was technically still a shelgon but shelgon isn't that fun to draw so yeah -Salamence)
on the back of my character, Izu, was my catch from after the trial, Hector the Goomy. She took so F-ing long to get
personally my favorite pokémom was the alola one. 7 years and she still probably hasn’t unpacked those boxes.
being a trial captain must be tough. imagine having to spend all day guiding 11 year olds to fight giant powerful monsters while you stand off to the side and think “damn i have a paper due at midnight”
i think we need to give alola some credit for its educational output simply because its trainer school isn’t a one room glorified daycare

I was experimenting with different brushes and shading in this one. It looks decent, but I wish I spent more time rendering the fur. I can’t redo anything, since I lost the original file oof.
These are somewhat old but I’m posting them at like 11 and no one can stop me.
All six pokemon here were my actual main team for my first Pokemon Moon playthrough, and the top picture was my outfit for most of the game. As for the second and why she’s decked out in Team Skull gear, I just wanted to see how it looked (it also fit the aesthetic I was going for so that’s great too)
