Sometimes I just love to read a happy sskk fic

Like, I love when their relationship is angsty or messy or complicated, because that is how it is! But sometimes the hurt gets too painful and I adore how tragic they are but I need happiness

Sskk may not be the softest ship, but it's so refreshing to just read a fic where things are...peaceful. There's no miscommunication, there's no death, there's no tears or despair. It's the aftermath, where Atsushi and Akutagawa have learned to love each other without fear

Where they're together and they're happy, where they can wake up next to each other and walk around the city together and give each other goodbye kisses that aren't actually goodbye

When everything's okay

And sometimes, things are so happy it makes you sad anyway. It makes you sad that Sskk is happy together because you know it isn't true, so while it soothes your soul with the fortune, it also reminds you of canon Sskk and how many doors that they can't walk through

I truly do love the heavy, angsty Sskk fics with all the heartbreak and anguish and forbidden, confusing love that they have with each other. But the fics where they're together, and they have sweet nothings shared between each other is also so wonderful, where things are soft and magical and it's all okay still have a place in my heart

I love the perspectives of their relationship from both sides

Wait, wait, wait, okay, so in your "Leo's design" post, you mentioned that Mikey had an idea of how to fix up Leo's old tattered mask. Then, in your "Donnie's dynamic" post, Leo's got his brothers' colors braided into his mask tails (which looks, just, so cool btw). Was this what you meant???

Yes!!

One of my favorite things about Leo's design in the movie is that he has Donnie and Raph's masks tied to his sword.

I decided that in my au, when Leo's Mikey 'disappeared' in his timeline, Leo held on to his baby brother's mask the same way.

Jump to a few (several) years later, and Leo's mask was in desperate need of repairs.

And so (with the aid of Splinter's sewing skills) Mikey thought it would be a fun idea to combine all of the masks Leo carried around together.

I like to think that Mikey chose to incorporate all four masks into one just because he thought it would look cool, not necessarily because they belonged to Leo's brothers (though that was definitely part of the decision process.)

For Leo?

It meant the world to him. Those are the last things he has of his past life, the last tie he has to his brothers. And now they'll always be with him, forever by his side, even if separated by death.

These kinds of things are what make Leo wonder what he ever did to deserve getting a second chance of being with his loved ones again.

Welt’s hands tighten their grip around Sunday’s neck, glaring down at the younger one.

In all reality they weren’t two different. 2 people playing the role of gods, a path that 1 choice and the other had forced onto them.

“Sometimes I truly wonder.” Welt mumbles “Do I truly hate you? Or am I just projecting my own self loathing onto and tricking myself into thinking I hate you.”

“What an odd question.” Sunday says

An odd question it was, Welt let his hands relax and then fall back down to his sides. Sunday regaining the ability to breathe once more

“Piss off Sunday. And stop asking for my forgiveness…next time I might not be able to take back control of myself.” Welt says

“Control yourself?” Sunday asks

“…don’t worry about it kid.” Welt says

“You can’t tell me something like that then refuse to elaborate.” Sunday says

“I can do whatever the fuck I want.” Welt says

“But Mr. Yang-“

“Shut your mouth you worthless insect!” Welt shouts “You falsely claimed yourself a god! Learn to have some respect when talking to true divinity.”

“T-True divinity?” Sunday almost scoffs

“Just fuck off. It pisses me off just how much it feels like I’ve had this conversation before.” Welt grumbles

The silence was loud even on the busy express. The tension in the room was thick….but perhaps it wasn’t tension and was just the honkai energy that Welt’s body gave off. Welt turns and walks off, back to his bedroom

Mostly March was the only person who questioned why welt spent so much time alone. Welt knew why he spent so much time alone. He didn’t want to hurt the others. His body gave off honkai energy, a lot of it..spending too much time around these humans could cause them to become sick due to the excessive exposure. So he locked himself away in his room. The one place no one can disturb him, the one place no one can enter but him. Sometimes being a herrscher and it’s perks. A big one being the ability to walk through solid objects. Welt could keep his door firmly locked up and still be able to easily enter and exit.

Incase anyone is wondering yes Herrschers can phase through objects.
