Few fun facts about Angie Yonaga!!

She hates the police, She calls them "heathens" because they get in the way of her cults traditions

She's an advocate for human trafficking because she thinks it's purely for ordering willing sacrifices

She's an active murderer(Sacrifices people who are willing or not)

She's tasted human blood before but doesn't think it's "tasty"

She can't feel negative emotions so she can only empathize with people(Which also plays apart in how she gets confused why her actions in chapter three make people upset)

She seems to canonically be attracted to Tsumugi or at least her body, She has several points in the game where she compliments her body and even once asked if she could touch her chest

She hates children and laughs at their pain

She's very proudly sexual in nature and says her god enjoys watching

You know, I think Maki actually does feel guilty about Kokichi's death.

Yes, by Ch.5 she absolutely hated him, but it was understandable. He declared himself the mastermind — person who supposedly kidnapped forced everyone to kill each other. He took Kaito — the most important person for Maki in this game — hostage. He mocked Gonta after his death. He told everyone that he enjoyed their suffering, laughing like madman. Throughout all the game, he accused and insulted Maki of being an assassin. And finally, the last straw was the fake memories that he also helped Junko start wars and cause destruction. This all led to her snapping and trying to kill him.

And Maki never enjoyed killing. She was forced to become an assassin and only stayed for the safety and wellbeing of children in the orphanage she grew up in. She really wanted to prove the group. that she could be trusted. She even told this to Kokichi after the 3rd trial.

Yes, at the end of the fifth trial she told Kaito that he shouldn't have agreed to Kokichi's plan and it would have been better for Ouma to just die. But at that moment she was desperate, hurt and scared that Kaito would be executed. Naturally she would be mad at Kokichi.

But in Chapter 6, she was the one who volunteered to search Kokichi's room to find any clues that could help end the game. If she didn't care at all, she would not offer to search there. I think part of her also wanted to find some kind of confirmation that he really was an asshole who absolutely deserved to die. Or, on the contrary, confirmation that he really did try to help them. Just anything to form her own final opinion about him.

And also that moment during the Final Trial when Tsumugi, the real Mastermind, revealed that those memories, that finally pushed her to try to kill him, weren't real. Maki sounds shocked and horrified at that. Because those memories were the reason that pushed her to try to murder him. And if they were fake, that means she did all that for nothing. She broke her unspoken promise to Kaito, and that resulted in Momota and Ouma both dying. And all of it was because of a lie.

It feels to me that she does feel guilty for both Kaito's death and Kokichi's death, because it was her actions that partially led to everything ending that way. I think no matter how she feels about Kokichi, she regrets what she did.

Also I didn't change Maki's outfit from canon cause nothing about her really changed, She's still like the same age and occupation in it so it's still perfect🤷‍♀️

That moment when I'm enjoying myself then remember Maki was the only person who survived to chapter five who gave two shits about Kiibo, Even when it didn't apply to her or the group as a whole

Kaito is so fucking tragic and I hate how people completely ignore he's more than just a support to Shuichi

Like Kaito's problems are never brought to the surface but in like very few short instances which make it worse because the fact his problem is hiding his feelings from people to make them all feel like he's the perfect person to look up to

He's scared of being vulnerable with people because he thinks that will lessen their view on him(Exactly why he hides his illness), The need he feels to pick everyone up and always give them someone perfect to look up to, His implied internalized homophobia(The way I read it at least)

Can people please fucking comprehend the fact Maki didn't hate Kokichi till he killed two people and Kokichi learned to separate her from her talent because I'm over here sounding like a broken record and it's so annoying

Who are the best Danganronpa protagonists and why are they Kiibo and Maki

I feel like Kaemaki(Kaede x Maki) wouldn't work and would be toxic no matter what AU it was in(At least in ones where Maki is still an assassin/they keep their personalities) And all you need to look at to prove that is canon, Maki has a strong dislikeness for Kaede. Which says a lot on it's own given that she has no strong opinions on anyone that early in the game, But Kaede is the only one that Maki cannot stand. Maki doesn't like her brand of optimism, She finds it annoying how Kaede refuses to acknowledge anything bad that's happening and just continues to push the narrative that everything is completely fine when too much is going on to try and get people's mind off of it Maki spends all of chapter one just being an asshole to her more than she is with the usual person because she doesn't like Kaede at all Now, Looking at Kaede's perspective, She died early and wanted everyone to like her, Which in her way; Meant actively ignoring boundaries to basically force everyone to be compatible with her(She does this a lot, And more primarily with Maki) Now, Yes, Kaede died before Maki's talent was revealed. But it's honestly ridiculous to think she would react any less than Miu had(Miu had been the one actively trying to convince the group to kill Maki) If Kaede found out she was an assassin, Kaede would very quickly have the same mindset as everyone(But Kaito), Which was to kill her before she could strike first Kaede would refuse to be in the same room as her, She'd even ignore anyone who told her Maki wasn't here to hurt anyone Kaede would hate Maki if she knew she was an assassin, And wouldn't bother to get close to her She'd most likely push others away from her because of her talent Kaede would be the same no matter what AU, No matter what relationship they had before it, As soon as she finds out; She'd cut all ties with Maki because of it It's just how her personality is

The trope of a character(Usually Kokichi or Shuichi) "taking down" the Holy Salivation Society and "saving" Maki from it, Is wishful thinking, But canonically impossible Maki has directly said that even if the HHS disbands, She'd just get lofted into another assassin agency. And if she ran away she'd most definitely be killed, And even if she could live after escaping, Maki wouldn't try. Maki's whole reason for being an assassin is to make sure no kid at the orphanage has to replace her and go through the gruesome training she had to Like, I wish Maki didn't have to deal with this shit as much as the next but it's quite literally impossible unless you change her whole backstory to have her never become one in the first place

Like Korekiyo and Maki get on each others nerves SO MUCH MORE than Kokichi gets on either of their nerves and it's so overlooked when their interactions are so funny</3 Like Maki constantly tells Kiyo to cut his occult bullshit to stay on topic and it rattles him to his core, And Korekiyo called her "Such a poor, miserable girl who can't understand love" TO HER FACE They need more fanart or little stories where they argue like they do in canon, IT'S SO FUNNY

Riiiight, Miss Ultimate Assassin?

She's in the hanger, I don't have any reason for this except the fact I wanted to draw her covered in blood(Isn't her's, Idfk who's it would be)

Top reasons not to like Himiko Yumeno (Before you call my bluff on any of this, Be my guest to go look in these spots of the game.) 1. She's made racist comments(One I remember being in chapter five, Investigation I think) 2. She's made homophobic comments(Can't remember exactly when) And you cannot excuse her cause "She's a lesbian", That is a HEADcanon. Tenko and Juzo are the only canonically queer/Heavily queer coded characters 3. Threatened to strip characters naked on multiple occasions(I know she said this to Kokichi in one trial, Might be the first or third but I'm not actually sure) 4. She told Kiibo go kill himself(Self destruct) because that's "All robots are useful for"(Chapter four, Dining hall) and you cannot excuse her cause "It's a killing game", She had no reason at ALL to say that. And, yeah, Miu said Kaede should do it too. But that was during chapter one when she was panicking about the time limit. CLEARLY not the same situation 5. Not as big of a reason as the other four, But she literally does nothing for the plot except give Kaito a crossbow and her character arc is kinda...Meh...You could swap her out with anyone and it'd still be the fucking same(Like, Even Tenko at that point would give Kaito a crossbow to help him. Nothing would change.)

The danganronpa fandom has such a misogyny problem, I've mostly seen it more prominent with Maki and Miu

Examples—"Miu is the same as Teruteru" No, She fucking isn't. Miu only explicitly sexualizes herself except for like two comments in the entire game(Which are only comments on possible "kinks" they'd have), She apologizes and backs off when someone lashes out because she doesn't actually understand what she should or shouldn't do or say. And if she was a male, I swear yall would like her all the better.

—"Maki is a horrible person for trying to kill everyone in the 5th trial" First of all, This is a fucking death game with the fear of dying looming over your head 24/7, OBVIOUSLY people would do bad shit to try to end it. And second of all, She was trying to kill everyone TO END THE GAME. Guess who also did that? Kokichi and Gonta. But do they get shit for it? Fuck no. Why? Cause they're men

The Amazing Karnak - Monodam

Out of everyone among the Monokubs and Monokuma, Monodam seems like he'd be the only one who'd be willing to give them a chance to compete for another chance at life

No hate to anyone who casted Monokuma as Karnak, But Monokuma would never give these kids the chance

Virgil the Rat - Monokid

Monokid plays guitar and has a distaste for Monodam, Therefore, Motive to just kill him for kicks. Need I say more?

Ocean Rosenberg - Rantaro Amami

You need to hear me out. People always cast Miu or Angie as Ocean when frankly, Rantaro would match with the motive. He hardly knows any of the other contestants(Since he died first and didn't really get to know anyone) and his whole motivation for "What the World Needs" in the first place, Would be his sisters because of his determination and debt feeling that drives him to want to find them

Noel Gruber - Korekiyo Shinguji

Not motivated by his sister thing. "Noel's Lament" would more be motivated by like a want to live a life without her, And using the symbolism of the French Hooker

Mischa Bachinski - Angie Yonaga

Natalia Bolinski - Tsumugi Shirogane

"Talia" was cut from this considering every character would be there even if they weren't competing(They participate in the unanimous vote and serve as ensemble) but it deserved an honorary mention

Richard (Ricky) Potts - Kokichi Ouma

I've seen people make Shuichi or Kiibo Ricky which really doesn't make sense to me. Kokichi definitely would be more Seattle "Space Age Bachelor Man" than the cast recording version, Saving earth feels more his speed instead of becoming a superhero sex god on a cat planet. Also he wouldn't take it too seriously because he highly doubts anyone will vote for him anyway, So why not go out with a bang?

Jane Doe - Maki Harukawa

I always see people make Tsumugi Jane, When it makes more sense to make a survivor Jane considering the fact she comes back to life. And since in the context of the killing game, Everyone would know anyone else died, But using a survivor would give mystery of not knowing what the fuck happened(Cause you can't exactly make anyone a Jane or John Doe in this context so their motive could be more the mystery of not knowing anything about how you died)

Constance Blackwood - Miu Iruma

Constance's whole shtick is being outcasted and only really known for like one thing and growing sour for that. THAT'S MIU'S WHOLE THING BASICALLY. The whole cast really only uses her for her inventor talent then shuns and ignores her after she finishes something for them, Miu would definitely grow annoyed of that

For how or why she accepted everything about her life is actually undecided but it could probably be because she lost it all and realized how great it was after death like Constance did but idk
