Here's a tiny comic with Crystal (My OC) and her older sister, Alicia! ^^

Also, there's used to be a word in this and it was witchcraft. I tried to post the pic, however, it didn't seem to let me post it because of that word so yeah, it have to be censored.

TW: The character portrayal of Alicia in this comic might not be accurate since I didn't watch the 90s version of Moomin for a month because of school. So plz forgive  if I made a mistake here.

Fang is the older of the two. Unlike his younger brother Fang goes by his real name and doesn’t have a nickname. Snufkin made his hat for him before he was born and decorates it with flowers, vines and feathers every now and then. (I thought it would be a nice family tradition if one of the children from each generation got a hat similar to their fathers. Like how Snufkin and Joxter have similar hats). Also his bandana is Moomins old one from his traveling days.

Long tail is the younger brother to Fang and rarely goes by his real name of Oakley. He got his nickname for his abnormally long tail for a Moomin and Mumrik. Longtail also inherited an item from his parents, a small Swiss Army knife.

Fang and Longtail get along with each other rather well, rarely having arguments that genuinely upset each other. They make comments to one another that may seem hatful or mean but in reality are just jokes. Fang being older takes responsibility for Longtail’s mistakes (for example if he broke a pot or trampled some flowers, Fang would say he did it and take the punishment) despite his brother’s protests.

Unlike Longtail, Fang travels south like Snufkin during winter as he hates hibernating. When he was younger he would wake up and read books, draw and carve things from wood (he’s a quick learner, knowing how to read very early and how to carve without actually being taught. He simply learnt from trail and error, and seeing Snufkin carve boats and figures). He would even catch fish and cook them if he ran out of jams to eat and if he couldn’t get fish he would eat roots from under the snow (Snufkin taught him how to survive if he got separated from his parents for long periods of time just to be safe).

Longtail doesn’t like to travel during winter. He’s rather like his grandfather the Joxter in a sense. He’s very lazy and laid back. He’ll take the easy way out of any situation. Especially traveling in winter, he truly loves his winter rest. He calls it his recharging sleep. Much like Snufkin, Longtail prefers to be in little company or alone for periods of time. He usually gets very anxious around people he hasn’t met before but will open up with time.

Fang is quite sociable and enjoys meeting people on his travels. He visits many of the people he’s met in the past when he gets the chance and even asks some to come visit him in Moominvalley although not many do. Despite his love of people he isn’t one for parties or large crowds. Instead he’ll stand to the side lines with his brother, friends or Father (Snufkin, who sometimes lingers near the edges while Moomin hosts or socialises).

Idk if this was on purpose, but I saw your recent post and since Moomin is originally Finnish-Swedish... I just figured I should mention that "Tjej" is literally the Swedish word for girl? Like, just in case you didn't know/it wasn't on purpose.

First of all, thank you you're my first Ask !

Second, yes I know, and I did it on purpose! She was supposed to have no name, I wanted her to just be "The girl" for a good part of the story and then I did some research and discoverd the word Tjej (I thought it was funny and usedull to give her that kind of false name)

That and the fact that I had no inspiration and she's literally a girl from the south (Södra Tjej)

I really wanted (and needed) to make a post that would summarize my little weird, modern Au, so I put it here:

🌟Story🌟

In a parallel universe to the 1990 moomins series, a 16-year-old Snufkin, instead of going on a winter trip, returns to the city where he was born to go to school.

There he meets a strange girl, Tjej(oc), with whom he becomes friends. The following spring, she embarks with him on a strange adventure by following him in the moomins valley.

Come on ... it's just a lie.

Of course it doesn't exist.

It's just a story of perfect duality and compulsive daydreaming.

Taking inspiration from a reality to create another one, that's all.

It's mostly the first year: snufkin starts to talk with Tjej and they are becoming Friends. They talk a lot and she followed him. They share the feeling of being out of this World. They have fun in the moominvalley for a few months before coming back to their town in september.

Goals🫠

The main goal of my Au is to write and draw about the disillusionment of returning to a "normal life" and beginning to notice similarities between the inhabitants of the whatever you lived in and those of your city.

Others:

There is no other ships than the couples presented in the series.

If you notice that for example that I am completely wrong or saying bullshit on a subject I would like corrections, but also I am really bad at English and I apologize in advance for the mistakes but I do my best.

Why ?!? Why is this the 10minute art style so much better ?! I had so much trouble with the round-strechy one and the other is better ?!

Anyway i'm sorry for that I needed to share my pain,

I was supposed to end the weekend with some more progress but my seasonal depression is here and I just watched several hours of the 1990 moomins show without moving.

I guess I'm starting right away, partly because I'm impatient, partly because I haven't made stuff this cute and relaxing in a long time! So here is my very first post on tumblr! I present to you Snufkin and Tjej's designs in my Alternate Universe!

For now they are very Tall and I like that very streched look but I Guess we'll see !

Oh and Snufkin's looking sick IDK what happened with his skin color but I kinda liked it as well !
