WE ARE SOOO CLOSE!! SIGN THIS PETITION SO WE CAN GET IT TO HOYOVERSE BEFORE NATLAN COMES OUT!! The erasure and whitewash of the Latin American and places like Nigeria in west Africa culture is undeniably disrespectful. BUT WE AS A PLAYER BASE CAN DO SOMETHING AND EDUCATE HOYOVERSE. A LOT of people use the excuse that “there are light skinned people in ___ culture!” But there are also darker skinned people apart of the culture too, so why not implement that in the game? This is late but here’s the rest of Genshintober. Days 19-26, and 28-30: Mualani, Xianyun, Arlecchino, Zhongli and Guizhong, Sigewinne, Xilonen, Freminet, Mona, Mavuika and Capitano, and Chiori

my take on mavuika

as you might know, I kind of hate original Genshin designs, so I was asked (!!!) (I swear I didn't want to even start with Natlan characters because it's just so bad gods help us) to redesign the new Pyro Archon

and I did

I tried to keep it close to the original culture but if I made any mistakes please let me know

Me: Mavuika doesn’t know what a Gnosis is and/or doesn’t understand what they do?? Is she even the archon???

Somehow I thought and decided that I could try my hand at redesigning a Genshin character. Mavuika is one of the most scandalous images in my memory. The references in her image are not clear to everyone, and a modern motorcycle, in my subjective opinion, looks wild in the realities of Teyvat, so … meet my redesign of Mavuika! with the preservation and addition of references to the culture of Maori, Aztecs, Incas and Maya. <3 (I am not a professional and am far from the mentioned cultures, so do not judge strictly. I did everything in my power!)
