imagine the cool air of spring, the beautiful colours that start to emerge and the life that starts to wake up. just a few short months since that fateful day.
stood in front of a grave, you sucked in a breath and reached a hand out, fingers tracing over the letting carefully as you tried to bite back the tears wanting to fall. the reality of the very person who swore they’d be by your side was no longer here; nothing more than memories made of times that had passed.
kneeling down, you took a moment to arrange the flowers you’d bought with you, tears now falling as reality hit you again for the millionth time. “why did you have to leave me?”.
words that were meant to sound harsh came out in a soft whisper, breath catching in your throat as you placed a hand across your mouth stifling your sobs. who knows how long you stayed like that, hunched over as you kept ahold of the cold stone trying desperately to feel some warmth, to not accept this was your life now.
soon enough it was time for you to leave, time for you to head back to your home that was now quiet and empty without their presence, their belongings never touched since the moment they left this world.
looking over your shoulder, you blew a kiss and started to walk only to be stopped when you saw it. small gasp leaving your lips as you watched it come closer to you before it perched on your outstretched hand, settling just above the band you wore on your ring finger.
a butterfly as white as snow, it had to be them, their way of letting you know they were still with you despite no longer having a body. tears fell again as it fluttered to land on your shoulder, facing towards the ring you kept secured around your neck, never moving as you let your head drop.
“oh satoru, i miss you so much. why did you have to leave this world so soon?”

AITITSYLWKYEOSOYDOJFULMMR THATS MY SON
we may have lost Gojo but holy FUCK
don't talk to me about his pout oh my GOODNESS
i saw a post about how modern tv suffers from the death of filler and it got me thinking about how it's exactly one of the problems i have with jjk: we didn't spend enough time with the characters.
and don't get me wrong, i love them all, but i would have just liked to see more of them interacting besides when they're fighting for their lives, because there ARE tidbits of it and they're so good and they also enhance the story because you get more attached to the characters and the emotional stakes are higher.
the flashback to where yuuji, nobara and megumi mess up gojo's shirt? hilarious, and it makes the scene of nobara's death even more heartbreaking. the part after yuuji is presumed dead, and the room goes dead silent when megumi mentions yuuji taught him how to cook the food they were eating? imagine how much harder that would have hit if we actually saw it.
i want more! i want to see megumi being forced to give nobara and yuuji a tour of tokyo, i want to see them making a mess in the kitchen while attempting to cook something, i want to see hakari and kirara being bad influences on their underclassmen, i want to see choso and yuuji bonding via usual siblings shanenigans, i want to see gojo convincing inumaki to use his cursed technique to pull a stupid prank on nanami, i! want! more!
I thank God for Baeli's existence tbh.
Happy late father's day from papa-toru and his nuggets 🎀
Let the poor man rest.
the thing about jujutsu kaisen is it really is as gay as everybody says and it is equal opportunity about it. yeah whatever the hell satosugu and itafushi got goin on but at the same time nobara’s backstory is like she was plucked out of an angsty yuri and accidentally put into a shonen. then two twin sisters who hate each other are fighting over her. megumi is telling yuji he never once regretted saving yuji and satoru is calling suguru his “one and only” meanwhile nobara talks about her literal ring of keys moment as a kid and thinking of her childhood best friend in her final moments. a BL and a GL at the same time we just don’t have time to unpack all of that bc bitches are dying left and right

spoilers ahead so you have been warned
i read 7:3 and my mind immediately thought of nanami kento and his ratio technique. gege....what are you planning? and i mean this in a suspicious way because this is his innate technique.
for anyone who doesn't know, an innate technique is engraved into you the moment you're born; it's not something you can create and it's definitely something you cannot copy. even in the jujutsu kaisen wiki page says, "techniques cannot be copied in most cases because they require innate talent and to possess." so it's like the technique chooses people (and not the other way around) who have the drive to use it at the fullest potential.
as someone who really loves nanami as a character, it doesn't sit right with me that this stranger may possess the ratio technique knowing nanami is dead. i'm not over his death, and probably never will, so seeing his technique possibly be shown again is like witnessing someone coming back from the dead. IT JUST DOESN'T SIT RIGHT WITH ME. gege...pls tell me i'm wrong like i usually am. i just have a very very bad ominous feeling about how this could go down.
and this isn't even about me feeling this way, it's more of me feeling this way because i'm thinking of itadori. this twenty-seven year old man is someone who itadori looked up to. can you imagine how devastated and confused he'd be if he ran into this man who possessed the very technique of his mentor? the very adult who told him being a child is not a sin? the very adult itadori blames himself for dying? this teenage boy had to watch him die in front of his own eyes, and the only thing keeping him all intact are nanami's last words to him, "you got it from here." it's suddenly like, his death was all for naught.
itadori is probably still grieving his death and still trying to wrap his head around everything that's happened. he is still beating himself up for what he did even if he's smiling and helping megumi. what i'm saying is itadori is in a vulnerable phase right now where, i feel like, one small thing can trigger something in him. and to have this slapped in his face? he's going to be confused and shocked. and the worst part is, knowing how caring and empathetic he is, he'll probably even be kind enough to tell this stranger to take care of his mentor's technique.
and to think that itadori may have to fight this person, i, look, i don’t even want to think about it. this is too cruel because if we think back to the culling game rules, you basically have to kill your opponent to survive and get points. so i’m sure itadori will have to kill this man, which is like killing nanami. and i kid you not, i’m 100% sure that when he kills this man he’s going to say, “sorry” just as he did when he killed choso’s brothers.
itadori yuuji deserves better than this. both him and nanami do.
i already love choso as a character, but gege really solidified it by these panels. it gave choso more depth and showed more of his human side. and as the oldest of five siblings, i have mad respect for the things choso said:
+ choso being the badass person he is
spoilers ahead for jjk manga chapter 141!
look, all i wanna say is, how tf am i supposed to handle both the latest aot chapter and jjk chapter in less than 48 hrs?
anyways, that isn't the point. the point it that i'm positively sure megumi is gonna show up in chapter 142? why? bc of this:
sukuna's simple "tsk" followed by perking up is enough to tell me who he senses. bc he smiles and the panel next to it is a dark tunnel. to be exact, the very tunnel in the first jjk opening:
megumi is seen looking at the puddle in the tunnel. but i honestly don't believe that's all he's doing here. bc remember this scene?
he's doing the same. exact. thing. in those two pictures. mappa and gege really has been giving us the answer right in front of our bosses.
megumi is literally pushing his technique past it's boundaries. he's taking advantage of an objects shadow and manipulating it, messing with it and seeing how far he can push it to its limits. (there's so much potential for his technique that i honestly see why sukuna sees him valuable, but that's a different post for a different day).
he can slip into the shadows, which is the equivalence to gojo teleporting. i'm confident megumi has been going around the town, slipping from shadow to shadow to find yuuji. and that's why this tunnel is so relevant. it's so dark in the tunnel, pitched black, and there's no better place for megumi to use it to his advantage. he'll come out, i know it. it's him. and he'll cause havoc. save yuuji unlike the first time when he wasn't able to and put yuuta and rika in her place. megumi isn't going to hold back. he saves people selfishly. bc the darker the shadow, the scarier it is right?
anyways, what i mean is this, this is called the ten shadows technique where he can create shadows. and not only that he can store objects within that shadow, he can store himself.
every time i think about inumaki post shibuya all i hear is a loop of
