Wow tumblr is really against being as good as it used to be while at the same time the whole reason they did the purge is still around :/ The nsfw gifs and blogs they target literally aren't harming anyone but get flagged and taken down yet every single time I log into any of my tumblr accounts I have messages and follows from p*rn bots... make it make sense
i don't know how many people this is going to reach, but i figure it's best i get a message out there. this is the former owner of the blog beachflags. i say former because, well, the blog isn't up anymore. it's been terminated.
around 5 hours ago, a number of my posts were removed on the grounds of having "sexually explicity material," even though i made sure all my posts used tumblr's community labels feature to file them under "mature" with "sexual themes." sadly, in no time at all, the entire blog was quickly terminated as well.
i made this back-up blog a while back on the chance that this scenario might happen, as even before the termination, many of my posts were being hidden before most people could see them. (if anyone was wondering why i was so inactive... well, you start to lose interest when you end up in an endless cycle of posting, flagging, appealing and denial.) however i have no intention of starting the blog again. not only has tumblr made it clear that that's breaking the rules, i also don't really see the point.
this back-up blog will now exist as an archive (unless tumblr takes it down too). unfortunately any post that was hit by a strike is now missing its content. i didn't save copies of my gifs onto my own personal drive so as it stands most of my work is now lost to even me. sadly, it is what it is.
i want to say thank you to everyone who followed beachflags and showed love to my gifs. every like and reblog kept me going and i wish i got to share more of my stuff with everyone. 🫶 hope you all have a lovely day. this is me signing off here for good. 🫡
You should be able to say “don’t touch me” to anyone ever in any context and not have it be considered in the realm of surprising or insulting imho if we ever needed to normalize something it’s this
