what i love about mhyk is the way they really played around the concept of magic and wizards and incorporated promises into the lore. like, we as humans often making promises to others, but most of the time, it's merely brushed off or not taken seriously. mhyk takes the concept of 'making a promise' to a whole other level by emphasizing the fact that promises are NOT meant to be broken and if it becomes broken, you eventually are forced to confront the consequences of your actions. (or in mhyk lore terms: wizards making promises to others---whether wizard or human---emphasizes the heavy weight that comes in making a promise and striving to fulfill that promise. you must always take your words seriously because it means a lot to others who are on the receiving end of your own words. wizards in this world lose their magic if they break their promise because it simply means that they failed to commit to their own words---to their own promise.)

somehow my mcu phase resurfaced but it's crazy to think that it was a picture of tony and peter that made tony decide to invent time travel. like. wow. damn. okay.

i made this realization almost a month ago about that my extreme liking and obsession towards yanshen is also because of the fact that i like caiowe but unfortunately i do not know anyone who likes both mhyk and thousand autumns so i feel like i'm talking a wall whenever i mention this. anyway, for example:

a-qiao's and cain's constant goodness and perspective on the world, their strong will and determination on their beliefs and morals...

yan wushi and owen enjoying 'good' people straying away from their good character, their eagerness in riling up the person they've taken a liking to (shen qiao and cain respectively), their questionable beliefs and worldview... also the fact that both of them have a child-like personality (as a result of ptsd) LIKE THAT HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD FOR ME. xie ling and kizu owen 🥺

oughhh i'm so mhyk main story deprived i wish they had better pacing with the main stories but if it’s for good writing then i can deal with it...... the world building in this stupid wizard game is actually so interesting to delve into and all the characters are carefully written in a way that it forces you to learn more about them. what i like about it the most is the combination of older wizards and ""newborn"" wizards. it creates crazier and more fun dynamics

i wish there were more canon interactions between silver and vil so they could talk about living and growing up being raised by a single father. it's more timely now considering the end of the diasomnia book... and deuce can join in too and talk about his life being raised by a single mother!!!! twst writers please let them bond.....

my favorite song from the album rn is sole star🥹 it's just so beautifully composed and written, a signature "floating through space" kind of onewe music, and i love it!

traffic love, rise again, and indelible definitely rose up to my personal onewe song ranking too LOL. and the first note of coincidence got me instantly sobbing; it's also the kind of song that you would just immediately know that it was composed and written by yonghoon lmao

ms2 spoilers but the scene where oz tells akira about arthur's prophecy and says like "please do not let him turn into stone... he has not yet lived 20 years" or something along those lines. and like. wow. it's just so profound and 'desperate' coming from him.

'desperate' in a way like, considering the way oz has lived his life. he doesn't form bonds or relationships or fails to sustain these bonds; it was always others reaching out to him and not the other way around,,,, then arthur comes into his life and he started finding himself reaching out to take care of arthur and reaching out to others to ask for help on how to take care of arthur LIKE. YOU GUYS GET WHAT I MEANNNN

i just finished watching the newest mahoani ep and the end gave me Food For Thought. because arthur was so distressed about the fact that he has yet to repay oz's kindness to him back in the north, but oz is just glad to see him again, taller, older, and ALIVE. i think the arthur prophecy reveal in ms2 was definitely one of my favorite ms2 moments because you could clearly read into the desperation in oz's lines. his affection for arthur ran deeper than his blood and veins to the point that he was summoned as a central wizard instead of a northern wizard; that's how deep he cares for arthur, deep enough for his pure, full northern roots to get mixed with the central ideals

this is so embarrassing to admit because i've been into mhyk since 2022 but only was updated with ms1. i just read paradox roid story yesterday and what the fuck. what are the canon mhyk lore implications of cain making a promise to owen and does tsushimi bunta know i'll offer my life for them

one day i will make a comparative analysis of oz-arthur father-son dynamic and lilia-silver father-son dynamic. i love it when a hundred/a thousand year old wizards unintentionally adopt a kid who has royal blood ❤️

I finished ms2 like. weeks ago. but holy shit it's still haunting me i have so many thoughts about it like:

owen constantly provoking cain to "leave his knight-like/knighthood" and cain going "aight bet" then owen legitimately crashing out when he saw cain doing Whatever at the western country???? Chat this is actual peak.

also owen holds So Much Affection for cain. not speaking as a caiowe shipper right now but i'm speaking like in an analysis way. he refuses to admit it out loud but he constantly, without fail, puts his trust on cain's attitude and character. (See: the lennox vs cain discussion wherein owen was literally the only one who said cain would win over lennox LMFAO) (Speaking as a caiowe shipper: HO THIS GAY AHHHH)

i seriously love the oz and arthur discussion at the later chapters🥲 arthur Really, REALLY needed to hear those words come out from oz himself, and oz really needed to tell his feelings to arthur. they're so father and son🥹 (See: Screenshot below ↓)

my personal struggle with translating stuff from one language to english is that my english vocabulary at present is built on english-written novels and conversational philippine english (which is a whole different language in itself).

i find it a bit hard to choose the right words to localize something (as an occasional jpn→eng fan translator) since, obviously, the audience or people reading my translations come from all over the world. i just noticed this when reading fan translations by people who grew up with english as their native tongue, and also when i read the official twst eng server because, seriously, i can't understand like half of the slang(?) words LMAO

on the brighter side, it's such an interesting way to learn more about different cultures!!!!!! my initial fear with translating words to english is that they might not end up sounding like what a native speaker would say but now i'm like who gaf. as long as people can still understand it, it brings us together or something

kaito tasuku appreciation incoming. i really love his passion in voice acting.... he really takes care of his characters so much, particularly with kohaku and bachira🥹 and i'm seriously so glad that he got more roles in music projects because it made me realize like. wow. this guy actually has a good vocal range.
