Michelangelo "Mikey" Hamato. 14. Japanese/Black American. This project was the very definition of "trust the process." From the beginning I struggled with this piece and I almost gave up and started over many times, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. I love this piece! His orange tips, the jewelry, the jacket. I'm in love with all the little details. For example, Mikey's customized his amulet (of course) with color tributes to each of his brothers. And I see Mikey as a face sticker-wearer, yeah?

Raphael "Raph" Hamato. 16. Japanese/Black American. We stan a big guy with delicate features in this house. I'm high-key obsessed with his hair, so I kind of killed myself getting it to look right and I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Fun fact! This was supposed to be longer originally but I shortened it down to be easier to make! Also the designs will change a bit to make the comic easier to produce :)

Hey! Here's a quick explanation of how the Mystic Powers work in my H!AU :D

The Mystic in my Human AU is a sort of projection of one's soul. All the yokai have it in a basic form, giving them mutant-like appearances whenever they desire. Basically it's what's in the show but flipped. Eg, Big Mama is a human crime boss that can project her soul around her into a spider and use it to project webs.

The Hamato Spirit is a advanced version of the mystic. They can project their souls but it's them with the Hamato Clan symbol. The turtles use this as their Mystic powers. Eg, Donnie, instead of making Mystic Tech out of thin air, makes it using his soul.

The turtles markings only really appear if they use their mystic powers. Except for Raph and Leo. For Raph, his whole body glows instead of just his eyes and some markings. For Leo, he always has his markings, they just glow when he uses his mystic portals.

The Yokai still live seperate from New York, but it's to hide away the powers then because they might not be welcomed. Only a select few non-Mystic Users can harness the mystic. They usually have something special about them and they usually have gone through their own battles (wink wink).
