Smoke curled upward from the scorched ruins of the Marine testing island. The sky was dim, bleeding orange as the sun tried and failed to burn away the choking clouds.
They found your body beneath the collapsed structureâarms still raised like you were shielding the others even in death.
It wasnât the injuries that broke them. It was the look on your face.
Peaceful.
Like you knew.
ONE WEEK EARLIER.
"These weapons..." Franky said, examining the diagrams. "Theyâre worse than anything Vegapunk ever dreamed up. Theyâre built to erase islands."
âAnd theyâre testing them here?â Namiâs voice trembled with disbelief.
Usopp peered over the map. âThatâs not all. Some of this... itâs Poneglyph script. These freaks are mixing history with firepower.â
You didnât say anything.
You just stared at the map. Quiet. Calm. Like a storm on the horizon no one else had seen yet.
âWe have to stop this,â you said.
Of course, everyone agreed.
But none of them saw what you saw. None of them realized the cost yet.
Not even you.
THE BATTLE.
The Straw Hats split into teams. Luffy and Zoro drew the front lines away. Robin sabotaged the comms. Brook and Jinbei distracted the guards. Chopper tended to wounded civilians trying to escape.
You were supposed to go in with Franky and Usopp.
You didnât.
You slipped away the moment they werenât looking, whispering your last words to Nami before disappearing into the smoke.
âI trust you. Donât look back.â
You found the core buried deep underground.
A thrumming vault of seastone and ancient script, glowing with stolen knowledge and raw destruction.
You knew what it meant.
You could read the Poneglyph fragments embedded in the weapons.
You knew what would happen if they were activated.
So you made a choice.
A selfish, irreversible choice.
You overloaded the core.
THE AFTERMATH.
When the blast hit, it carved a crater into the earth.
Luffy felt it firstâhis scream carried across the island like a cannon blast. â(Y/N)!!â
Frankyâs stomach dropped. He bolted toward the smoke, ignoring everythingâorders, pain, fire.
Usopp followed. Nami, too. She didnât even speak. Her Clima-Tact sparked wildly, emotions bleeding into weather.
They dug with bare hands and bleeding fingers.
And finally, they found you.
Still. Burned. Crushed.
But unmistakably you.
And unmistakably gone.
THE SUNNY.
Franky hadnât spoken in two days.
He sat in the engine room, back turned to everyone, arms blackened with soot and oil. He worked until his hands bled, building gods knew what.
Chopper had tried to check on him. Franky didnât even look up.
Usopp wandered the deck in silence, eyes red, mouth dry. He hadnât told a single story since they left the island.
Heâd tried. He opened his mouth once to make a joke, and nothing came out.
So he just sat with your grave marker, talking to it like you were there.
And NamiâNami was broken in a way no one had ever seen.
She didnât cry loudly. She didnât scream. She just shut down.
She went days without food. Sat curled in the crowâs nest, staring out to sea, clutching the note you left her in your final moments.
"Donât look back."
She hated you for it.
She loved you for it.
She never stopped shaking.
NIGHT.
Luffy stood by the railing, his hat pulled low, wind in his face.
Sanji stood beside him in silence.
âYou knew they were gonna die,â Luffy said suddenly. His voice wasnât angry. It was hollow.
Sanji lit a cigarette, fingers shaking. âI knew they werenât coming back.â
Luffy didnât answer.
âThey saved all of us,â Sanji added after a long pause.
âI didnât want saving,â Luffy whispered.
Then he turned and walked away.
FRANKY.
The machine he was building exploded.
He didnât flinch.
Robin found him hours later, crouched beside the wreckage, staring into space.
âTheyâd have slapped me for this,â he said quietly.
Robin knelt beside him. âFor what?â
âFor not stopping them.â
âThey knew what they were doing.â
âThat doesnât make it easier.â
Robin placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. âIt never does.â
USOPP.
He buried the dials you used in a small, unmarked box.
Every trap you helped him design, every gadget you tweaked. Gone. Hidden away like a secret.
âIâm never going to be that brave,â he whispered.
Then he broke.
Ugly, shaking sobs that echoed across the deck.
NAMI.
She didnât speak for three days.
Then, she found Franky. Slammed him into a wall.
âYou let them go alone!â she screamed.
Franky didnât fight back. âI know.â
âYOU PROMISEDâYOU PROMISED ME THEYâD COME BACKâ!â
He wrapped his arms around her mid-swing, held her as she sobbed, her fists pounding against his chest until they were too weak to lift.
ONE WEEK LATER.
Luffy called everyone to the deck.
No one knew why.
When they arrived, they found him standing in front of a small, newly-built monument.
A single beam of the destroyed fortress. Carved with your name.
And beneath itâyour jacket. Cleaned. Pressed. Folded neatly.
Luffy didnât speak.
He didnât need to.
They stood together. Silent.
One by one, they left offerings.
Sanji placed a bottle of sake.
Robin left a single violet flower.
Chopper tied a string of charms around the wood.
Zoro leaned his sword against it for a moment. A quiet nod of respect.
Brook played a low, mournful tune on his violin.
Jinbei lit a lantern and pushed it into the sea.
Usopp placed a small slingshot on the beam.
Franky left a blueprint.
And Nami⌠Nami placed your note. The last one you ever wrote.
âDonât look back.â
She whispered, âIâm going to.â
Then she walked away.
.
.
.
They kept your room the way it was.
No one said it aloudâbut they all visited.
Nami would sit on your bed when the nightmares came.
Usopp would fix the shelves you always overloaded with junk.
Franky recharged your tools every week, even though you werenât there to use them.
And LuffyâŚ
Luffy would sit on the figurehead, facing forward, holding your jacket in his lap.
He never cried where anyone could see.
But the jacket was always warm.
As if it still remembered you.

Chapter 1 Chapter 3
Robo-boning uder the cut:
Chapter 2: The Cyborg
It was a breezy evening aboard the Sunny as you sipped from your wine glass while leaning forward against the railing of the deck. Sanji had once again prepared the crew a fantastic meal and you felt full and comfortable with the cool sea wind blowing through your hair. It was late, most of the crew had returned to their quarters. Zoro was up in his crows nest dojo having a late night workout, Franky had returned to his workshop to fiddle with some new cannon technology, Luffy was in a food coma and snoring loudly laid up against the mast, and even Sanji had finished dishes with Robinâs help and excused himself to bed. Robin was always so helpful with the dishes with her Devil Fruit powers and all.Â
You were alone out here with only the sounds of the waves crashing against the hull and your captainâs aggressive snoring. You thought about how you missed your old life, but also how happy you were with the Straw Hats. You loved your job at the brothel and it certainly was less dangerous⌠but this new life? It was⌠exhilarating. You loved it.Â
*I think I need something stronger* you thought to yourselfâŚ
You looked at your empty wine glass and walked into the galley for something more exciting. It was spotlessly clean and empty. You opened up the liquor cabinet and perused your options. Vodka, tequila, gin, rum.. hmmâŚÂ
*Itâs a pirateâs life for me, I guess.* You giggled and grabbed the bottle of spiced rum off the shelf. You realized that taking it straight from the bottle was a little barbaric for a late night solo cocktail and went to the fridge for a mixer. Orange juice, mineral water, nothing suitable to mix with rum. You wracked your brain, what would go well with rum? A lightbulb went off in your brain, thereâs an obvious choice. Cola!Â
Rum and cola went together like peanut butter and jelly, like pancakes and syrup, like tea and honey. Your mouth watered at the prospect of a tasty drink⌠You knew there wasnât any cola in the kitchen, but you knew exactly where it was. You filled a glass from the cabinet with ice and held it in one hand and the bottle of rum in the other. You pushed past the swinging galley door towards the hallway that went to the center of the ship. You skipped down a flight of stairs until you reached a wooden door marked with blue cartoonish stars. Blue lettering adorned the top of the doorway reading âFranky House.âÂ
*So nostalgic of him* you chuckled to yourself before knocking twice.Â
âWhatâs up?â You hear Frankyâs booming voice from the other side of the door. You opened the door and sidled in with your glass and bottle in hand.Â
âOh heyyy pretty thing, what are you doing up at this hour?â Franky turned on his stool next to his workbench to look at you.Â
âI could ask you the same thing.â You smiled at him as you strode confidently towards the fridge you spotted in the corner of his room. âFancied myself a rum and cola, figured youâd be the guy to call about finding a bottle of cola around here.âÂ
âYeah babe! Mi cola es su cola!â He flashed you a winning smile before he turned back towards his work bench and continued fiddling with whatever gadget he was working on before your intrusion. You grabbed a bottle of brown syrupy liquid from the fridge and brought it over to him. You said nothing, just pointed the head of the bottle in his direction. He barely looked up as he reached his large hard out and popped the cap off of the bottle for you. You smiled.Â
âThanks, handsome.âÂ
You returned to the desk in the middle of the room where you had set your rum and glass, setting the cola down. You picked up the rum and poured a GENEROUS amount over the ice. You topped it off with the freshly popped cola and brought the glass to your lips. Holy shit you over did it with the rum but damn, thatâs good. You took a few more sips and let out a big sigh.Â
âRough day, sweet cheeks?â Franky laughed after hearing your exasperated sigh.Â
âHmm.. I guess. Just feeling a bit nostalgic is all.â
Frankyâs hands continued to manipulate the mechanical item on his work bench.
âYeah I get it. It happened to all of us, ya have this whole life and then all of a sudden youâre a pirate. Itâs super weird. Youâll get used to it, y/n, we all do. We can talk about it, if ya like.â He doesnât turn around. He had always been so good at expressing his emotions, such a tender and kind soul. He knew how you felt, and wanted you to feel heard.Â
*Such a sweet heart for a robot* you thought to yourself. But he wasnât a robot, he was still a man. Sure, his body was more metal than flesh at this point, but it didnât take away from what a gentle spirit he had. You started to wonder what other human instincts he had leftâŚÂ
âHonestly Frank? Iâm kind of trying not to think about it. What are you working on?â You walk over to his work bench and lean up next to him, against the table backwards, able to see the item on the table but facing his body.Â
âOh this? Nothing totally crazy, just something I was thinking about for my forearm cannon. You see this part hereâŚâ He was excitedly telling you about his work, clearly passionate about his science. You nod and give him âhmmââs here and there. You pour another strong drink and bring it back over to Frankyâs work bench. You set the glass in front of him.
âI canât be the only one indulging tonight, right?â You say seductively as you slide the glass towards his massive chest.Â
âWell little lady, Iâm usually a cola purist, but I guess one drink wonât hurt.â Franky grabs the glass in his large hand and slams the drink in one gulp. He hisses out, not prepared for how strong you made the cocktail.Â
âMy god girl, youâre trying to get me drunk?!â
You laugh out loud and pour yourself another drink.Â
âNo no, just trying to get more comfortable!â You laugh again. âNow tell me more about this hydraulic, fusion combustion, thingy againâŚâÂ
You say this as you set yourself down on Frankyâs wide lap, drink in hand.Â
âOkay so if you can see this piece right hereâŚâ Franky continued explaining his latest project to you as you became distracted by his handsome features. He had a strong, chilled jaw, defined abs, incredible thighs and you couldnât help but let your eyes wander to his swim briefs. Was it still real? Did he have anything or was he like a doll?
You let your thoughts get the better of you and you set your glass down on the workbench. You slid to your knees in between Frankyâs spread legs and let your head rest on his thigh.Â
âWoAAhhh sweet thing, something else on your mind?â He dropped what he was working on and lifted his sunglasses onto his head as he looked down at you. He leaned back. You giggled up at him while stroking his crotch slowly.Â
âmmmm yes. How could I not wonder? Iâve thought about it so much. Never had someone like you beforeâŚâ You drew your face closer to the growing bulge in his swim briefs as you palm him.Â
âAre you sure? How much do you want it? It might be too much for ya, doll faceâŚâ Franky puts his large palm on the side of your face, seemingly a bit concerned.Â
âI want it. I can take it, please show me.â Your fingers worked at the hem of his tight black speedo before he helped you bring it down to his ankles. You pull them all the way off and return to your kneeled position between his legs.Â
âWowâŚâÂ
His cock was so gorgeous. It had to be real. It was so long, thinner than youâd like, but the length was truly impressive. The base was decorated with tufts of blue hair.Â
âIs this good for ya, babe? Tell me what ya like and I can make it happen." Franky stroked your hair as you were staring at his cock from between his knees.Â
âWhat?â You didnât know what he was talking about. Was he that confident in his sexual abilities? You felt your cunt clench in anticipation.Â
âNo, this," He nods his head down at his erect cock. "I can make it anything you want. Too big?â You stared up at him with wide eyes.Â
âWant bigger? Maybe youâre a little size queen?â Franky smirked at you with those last words.Â
âNo no,â You stuttered out. âCould you⌠could you maybe make it a little⌠thicker?â You were so embarrassed, you felt so silly asking for this man to change up his own cock for you.Â
âOf course doll, if you want to be stretched out real good, who am I to deny you?â Franky smiled as he pressed his metal nose.Â
You stared at his erect penis as it became grittier right before your eyes.Â
âNo wayâŚâ You gasped quietly to yourself.Â
âYes way baby! You really thought I would rebuild my own body and not give myself an incredible dick?â He grinned down at you between his legs. âNow⌠where were we?â
You felt his hand gently push the back of your head towards his newly engorged cock. You were snapped out of your stupor and grabbed the thick length with both hands and began to pump it slowly.Â
âPerfectâŚ.â Franky cooed at you as you stroked him.Â
You leaned forward and took his tip into your mouth. He groaned loudly. You knew he would be loud, he always is, why would now be any different?
You gradually took more and more of his cock into your mouth and bobbed your head up and down. With each pull backwards you slurped and dragged your tongue across the bulbous head of his dick.Â
âFuck, shit, just like thatâŚâ He tried so hard not to ram his hips into your face, knowing it would scare you off. His body was too strong.Â
âShit baby⌠Youâre way too good at this⌠get up here and let me stuff you.âÂ
Once again your pussy squeezed around nothing, pushing out a drip of your arousal. Franky leaned down and grabbed your hips to pull you upward.Â
In a moment you were on your back on Frankyâs workbench, his projects swept to the the floor with one brush of his huge forearm. He was man handling your body to pull all your clothes off of you. You lay back down on the table, now fully bare in front of him.
âFranky, fuck me. Please. I want it.âÂ
He hovered over you, massive body eclipsing yours.Â
âAnd youâre sure? I told you it might be too much⌠Once I start⌠well it can just be a lot for someone who isn't used to it.â Franky asked you for the last time, making sure you knew what you were getting into.Â
âYes, Frank. Iâm so sure.âÂ
He pushed you down forcefully, but you protested by rising to your elbows and catching his lips in a wet kiss. He accepted your kiss and forced his tongue past your spit covered lips. You groaned at his dominance, such a change from how you were used to being with your other lovers.Â
After making out for several moments, you whined a bit too loudly when he pinched at your nipple.Â
âOkay okay needy girl, Iâll give you what you want now. But donât say I didnât warn youâŚâÂ
He pushes your thighs up with one hand as he lines his perfect cock up with your sopping hole with the other. He squeezes himself in slowly.Â
âHoly FUCK, my GOD FrankyâŚ!â You shout out as he sinks balls deep inside of you, having you in a mating press with one hand due to his large stature.Â
âOh pretty lady, we havenât even started.â He begin to pull out and shove himself back into your cunt, slick coating his cock more and more with each thrust. You slammed your eyes shut in pleasure, his dick was hitting all the perfect spots inside of you almost like it was made perfectly to fit your body⌠oh wait⌠it was.Â
All of a sudden you felt a new sensation along with his heft length splitting you open. Was he⌠vibrating? Your neck snapped up and your eyes shot open to meet his above you.Â
âOh yeah, I forgot to mention that. Had to add something for the ladies pleasure, right?â
âFRANKY!â Your body lurched forward and grabbed his biceps. You had never felt anything like this before. Itâs like your body was lit up by electricity. The smooth drag of his vibrating cock against your g-spot was complete sensory overload.Â
Franky chuckled. He continued railing into your tiny body, chasing his own pleasure, not worried that youâd reach yours.Â
âFrank Iâm going to-!â You yelped as your body tumbled over the edge in pleasure. It was the most intense orgasm youâve ever experienced. Your spasming cunt pushed out your release all over your lovers abdomen and legs.
âWow doll face, I never thought youâd be a squirter!â Franky laughed over you as he drilled his hips into yours further, not concerned about your recovery from your intense orgasm. Your body was limp in his hold now, not able to produce any sort of coherent phrase.Â
âFranky wait, I feel like-Ah!âÂ
You were cumming again. It was only a few moments after your last orgasm and your center was squeezing and creaming on Frankyâs thick robotic cock again. You had lost full control over your body, it was like nothing youâd ever experienced. You screamed. You had no idea what words you were trying to scream, but you screamed.Â
âYou like that, huh baby? How about one more for me? I think you can do it, right?â Tears streamed down your face as you laid on his workbench, boneless. Your cunt was throbbing in both pain and pleasure. You were being thrust into so forcefully that your body slid back and forth on the table, your breasts basically hitting you in the chin as they bounced so aggressively.Â
âMmmm.. Hmm. FUCK! Yes I can do it, I can take it!â You felt drunk on pleasure, barely able to keep your eyes focused. The sensations in your pussy were unlike anything youâd ever experienced. As your cyborg lover pounded into you at an impossible speed, you felt the familiar wave of pressure bubble up from your center, but this time far more intense than the others.Â
âThere it is baby, I can feel it, I knew you could do it for me sweet thing.â He coaxed you into tipping over the edge. Your back arched and you shrieked up at him. You vision went completely white for a moment as you felt your massive release splattering against Frankyâs thighs and cock. Wet, sloppy noises filled the room as you felt your cunt start to tingle with numbness and overstimulation,Â
âCanât⌠itâs too much!â You whine loudly at him as you make a feeble attempt to push at his abs, not entirely sure what you wanted yet.Â
âThatâs just fine doll face, Iâve got something else in mind anyway.â He flashes you a huge grin before grabbing you around your ribs and setting you down on your knees on the floor in front of him.
âOpen wide, pretty lady!â He held your hair in a makeshift ponytail with one hand and stroked his massive cock in front of your face with the other.Â
Obviously after 3 earth-shattering orgasms you were putty in his large hands. You stick your tongue out and look up at him. After seeing the makeup smeared on your face from spit and sweat and tears, there was no way he could hold back any longer.Â
âFuuuuuuuckâŚ!â He groaned out as he painted your eager, wrecked face with simply so much cum. It dripped off your cheeks and your chin as you happily kept your mouth open for him. He finally finishes his release and taps his cock on your tongue, so you can taste the last bit.Â
âShit you look so super like this!â Franky beamed down at you covered in his thick cum. You grin back up at him, delirious from exhaustion, cum dribbling down your neck. âBut I guess I canât leave ya like that huh?â He grabbed a clean rag from a drawer in his workbench and started wiping his seed off your face, you were so exhausted your eyes fell closed and you held your head in his free hand.Â
âHold on hold on doll, Iâm almost done then Iâll put ya to bed.â Franky finished cleaning your face and picked up up off your knees and set you down on his bed. He tucked you in and went to put back on the little clothing he had on in the first place. He moved towards the door of his room.Â
âWell thanks for the break, little lady! I have a repair I need to finish up on the deck tonight, but you get some rest.â Franky says from over his shoulder on the way out to the rest of the ship. You close your eyes and relax your bruised and exhausted body into Frankyâs mattress.Â
"Hey, if youâre feeling up to it when I get back, we can have a round 2! You havenât even seen half the super stuff I can do, I just went easy on you!â He shouted as he left the room with his toolbox and the door closed behind him.Â
Your eyes snapped open.
âWHAT?!â

Mindlessly walking the deck of the Thousand Sunny, you used the rail for balance. With blurred vision, you helplessly caught your breath, gripping the rail like a lifeline as it cut edges into your palm.
Blood didnât draw, but it pooled at your feet as you sluggishly walked down the stairs.
The moon hung high, and it was nearing 11:00 as the crew kept to themselves and their duties, relaxing in the galley or their designated spots.
The Sunny traveled at night, meaning everyone had to be alert. Shifts were taken and naps were often, though you were left to your senses.
Feeling everythingâbut nothing at once.
Your nervous system couldnât tell the difference between being held at gunpoint to the peaceful company of your crew.
It could never make up its mind, and it left you cautious of those around you. Especially Zoro, who you avoided as he rested by the mast.
You carefully, as quietly as you could, stepped down the stairs, faintly making out his form through the dark. His arms were crossed over his lap, protecting his swords even in peace, soundly asleep.
Or so you thought.
Stepping down the last step, your breath hitched.
crkâ
A sharp pain ran up your side, making you stagger to grab the rail, fighting yourself as you fought the raw ache in your chest.
You squeezed your shirt, temporarily kneeling, and you knew you had given yourself away. Quickly, you looked up to watch the swordsmanâbut it was too late.
Zoro didnât move; he was as silent as a ghost, no longer snoring.
Fuck. Greatâheâs awake.
Embarrassed, you fled inside, unaware of the eye that cracked open to watch you. The door swiftly shut, and Zoro sighed, leaning up, muttering something soft under his breath. âIdiot . . .â
You hurried down the hall, passing the kitchen as you ignored soft-talk; limbs burning in protest, with a hand muffling your breath, but you pushed on.
You couldnât let them see you like this. It wasnât fair. They hadnât done anythingâit was just you.
It was your problem.
âYour tea, Robin.â Sanji swooned, probably spinning around the table by now. âAh, thank you,â she smiled, taking the cup. âHey, whereâs my tea?â Usopp grumbled, tinkering with his gadget
âYouâll get in a second.â Sanji replied, then casually, âChopper, yours.â âHeyârude! Iâm right here, you know!â
You held the wall, slowing down, keeping quiet. But it was damn near impossible to.
âSanji, Iâm hungry!â âI just made you something!â âAnd since when has that ever worked? Heâs an endless pit, bro.â
Suddenly, your hand grazed a painting, and you froze.
âSooo... about that meat, Sanji?â âGet out of my kitchen!â
âShhâwait,â Chopper muttered, âdid you guys hear that?â
âHear what?â
With your heart racing, you slipped into the infirmary, going unnoticed. Footsteps came from the galley, and you knew you had to act fast. Tears covered your vision, though a shortcut to the aquarium bar sparked your movement.
You shifted to the hall, exiting from Chopperâs side doorâbut a familiar hum filled the corridor. Flinching back, you realized it was Brook.
Shit. ShitâShit.
Impulsively, you left in the opposite direction with your back facing the skeleton. Your shoulders were hunched, and you quietly cried into the palm of your hand.
âOh, ____! I thought I heard you!â Brook piped, then paused, watching you stumble into the tank room. âOh, there they goââ
Crashing into the couch, you gasped for air, holding your chest. Dammnit. You couldnât do this. Too much.
Way, too much.
You loved them with all your heart, and every single of your beingâbut fuck. There was too much action. Adrenaline coursed through your veins, and you could barely breathe.
A struggled noise escaped you, and you curled into the couchâs armrest. Your limbs ached, tingling as they grew weak, and you muffled a sob, sharply drawing in.
The quiet surrounded you, suffocating you only for a moment, before you realized the roomâs lights were on.
Someone else was in here.
â____?â Nami asked, peeking over the couch. âOh my god, hey,â she worriedly came to meet you, but youâd already bolted up.
âIâm okay,â you rasped, using the wall for leverage. âIâm fine,â you repeated, wiping your eyes.
âHeyâhey, wait,â only getting so far, voices sounded from the door you reached.
You flinched, stepping backâbumping into Namiâyou were lost. You didnât know what to do.
âI knew I heard someone, I figured it wasââ
Someone touched your shoulder, and you flinched, covering your ears. You searched for an exit, looking through tears, but there was nothing.
There was so much happening at once.
â___, heyâhold on.â
Voices. Muffled voices, in blurs shapesâyou could barely make out what was in front of you. You stepped back, bumping into something, and you couldnât tell what happened after that.
Your eyes shut.
âYohoho, there you are!â âI told you they were in here!â âNo, you didnât, you said they wereââ
âOhâYou guys, hold onââ
âStop talking!â
For a moment, you looked for some way out, and a peaceful, single storage closet called to you. You didnât even hesitate. You bolted.
The door slammed shut, and you crashed into whatever was inside.
Silence shrouded, and objects poked at you. Your head felt like it was going to explode.
With your heart pounding and anxiety raging, you couldnât think, you couldnât feel. Only the burning of your nerves, to the shaking in your limbs, was overwhelming.
In the dark, static blurred with reality, and tears covered them all. You felt like it was the end of the world, with everything folding in on you at once.
â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘
Outside the closet, a room of confused and worried crew members stood still.
âShh!â Nami hushed, silencing the group. âBe quiet.â
âSorry!â Chopper whispered, covering his mouth, side-kicking Usopp, who winced.
âAre they okay?â Luffy asked.
âWhat do you think?â Sanji spoke, physically tensing as the cyborg strolled in. âYoh! Whatâs the bigââ A giant hand slapped over Frankyâs face, and he nodded, immediately getting the memo.
Robinâs hand disappeared, flurrying into petals, and Zoro silently followed in.
Everyone shared a look, checking the closet, and an understanding passed through. The moment seemed to slow.
Luffy slipped by Nami, sitting beside the door to listen to your panicked breaths. His hat covered his face, and his fist clenched over his knee.
Youâd think he was angry, but right now? It was the complete opposite. He was torn.
Another moment passed before Sanji spoke quietly. âWhat happened?â
âI donât know,â Nami muttered, âThey burst in here, trying to be alone, I think I scared them.â A hand rubbed over her chest, and her eyes softened.
âShe was already startled,â Robin murmured, taking a seat on the couch. âI believe itâs a panic attack.â
âYeah,â Chopper mumbled, lowering himself beside her. The doctor looked to the closet, wishing he were in there with you.
It wasnât fair that you were alone.
âI wish Iâd noticed sooner,â he added quietly,
âYou couldnât have done anything,â Zoro said, leaning against a table, âthey were hiding. I saw them sneaking around the deck.â
âSneaking?â Brook blurted, a little too loudly. The skeleton quickly covered his mouth, ducking to avoid Robinâs hand that sprouted from the wall. He placed a bony hand over his heart, thinking back to earlier, when youâd avoided him.
Realization set in, and he sighed.
âOhâ____, no one deserves to be alone when experiencing something so hard.â
Sanji hummed, his expression growing grim. He leaned against the wall, opposite of Zoro, bringing a cigarette to his lips.
No. No one did. Especially you.
âThey were fine earlier,â Usopp whispered, pausing. He looked at his hands, closing them into fists. âI swear, I saw them not even 30 minutes ago, they helped me find a piece for something.â
âThey come on fast,â Chopper responded, sniffling. He rubbed his nose, leaning against Robin. âItâs hard to control them when they do, I just... I donât think they wanted us to see them like this.â
âThey avoided me like the plague.â Zoro tsked, crossing his arms. âItâs probably a lot more than that.â
âWell, thatâs too bad,â Luffy said firmly,
âTheyâre a part of this crewâtheyâre ours. They donât get to go through this alone, not when weâre here.â
A gentle pause, and the heavy breathing finally stopped. Everyone listened, but only to silence. Nami let out a breath, looking at Robin.
Already acting, the archeologist crossed her arms, muttering a soft; Un Fluer,â and a single hand sprouted from inside the closet.
It gently reached your leg, grounding you with single taps.
You sniffled, blinking through tears, and you hesitated. Through the dark, you saw her hand, and you didnât know why you froze. Your throat tightened, as if this simple gesture were a grand speech.
Outside, Robin was determined. Her eyes had a focused gentleness to them, and she wouldnât let this go. She closed her eyes, making her hand reach yours.
It was the gentlest push, but it was needed, and your hand squeezed hers, signaling you were okay.
Robin smiled, reciprocating the gesture. âTheyâre coming out of it, just give them some time.â
âFine by me,â Zoro grumbles, taking a seat. âIâll sit here all night if I have to.â
âFor once, I agree with you,â Sanji sighed, blowing out his cigarette. He leaned against the tank, quietly watching the reflection of the glass.
âUh-huh,â Franky agreed, âweâre super patient, kiddo, take all the time you need.â he plopped down, creating a loud thump, and Nami shook her head at Usopp.
They shared a look, checking the closet.
Clunk
Something fell from inside, as if you were moving, and the crew acted casual. They lounged, creating a soft tension that left it easy to breathe. They made sure not to make you feel small or crowded, even if they were secretly watching.
Another object fell, thumping softly, and a weak âowâ echoed.
Usopp cracked a smile, and so did Luffy. The captain leaned on his left knee, peeking at the door that cracked weakly open.
âShishi, there you are.â he smiled, âWe were worried aboutâcha.â
You wiped your eyes, managing a smile, though it wasnât convincing. It was weak, just a tip of the lips, but it was there.
Papers littered where you sat, with bent boxes and random trinketsâyou slowly stretched your legs, leaning against the doorframe.
âYeah, sorry about the shelves.â You mumbled, looking behind you.
âItâs fine,â Robin assured, as calm as ever. âWe didnât need it anyway. It was just free storage.â
âYeah,â Franky mentioned, âI was gonna turn that into room space, but you just did the demolition for me.â he laughed, eliciting a few smiles throughout the room.
âIâm just glad youâre not hurt! I heard the crash from upstairs.â
âAs did I, you startled us ___.â Brook started, crossing his legs. âYohohoâit looked rather painful, seeing you so lost.â
âYeah, it was, Iâm sorry you have to go through that.â Usopp said, rubbing the back of his neck, âYou donât have to hide that, though.
âYou know weâre here.â
âMm,â Sanji agreed, âWeâre everywhere, whenever you need. Always.â
You nodded, looking at your feet. âThank you, that... means a lot.â
âIâm sure it does,â Nami hugged her sides, checking the clock. Not out of urgency, but as a reminder. That you, right here, right nowâweâre struggling.
12:05amâŚ
This late. And you still tried to hide it.
She was frustratedânot at you, but herself. Sheâd been the one to startle you further, and that guilt lingered.
Namiâjust like everyone else thought, knew this wasnât fair. Because you were safe: with them, not with whoever made you feel the need to act this way.
To hide, bury your feelingsâtune it out till it all boils over, leaving you overwhelmed. Bittersweetly, she smiled.
You reminded her a lot of herself.
âAnd youâre welcome, but you shouldnât feel the need to thank us.â âItâs not out of obligation,â she added.
âIt never is.â
âWe want to be there for you, even if you think something like this is âsmall,â itâs not. Everything matters, and if you already know it, I, and everyone else, are going to remind you, over and over againâyou matter.â Nami walked forward, standing close.
âIt doesnât matter what it is, just tell us. Tell someone. You donât deserve to suffer alone.â
Luffy stretched, internally relievedâbecause in his own words, he wouldâve said the same thing.
Just . . . Not as Nami-ish.
However, he still had something on his mind, and it was killing his patience to ask you. Luffy nudged your foot with his own, bumping it again as if he were thinking.
âIs that why you hide?â he asked, casually.
â'Cause you're scared?â
Pulling a leg close, you shrugged, knocking his foot back.
âSometimes,â you admit. âSometimes itâs like that, when I donât know what youâll say, or how youâll react. Or, I just donât really know. It just... happens, and I freeze up. I canât think, and I canât talk, and I donât know what to do with myself other than hide.â
A short pause.
âIt feels safer that way.â
Luffy hummed, bumping your foot again.
âIt shouldnât,â he muttered, almost grumbling. âWeâre just as safe as some stupid storage closet. And you shouldnât worry about that, weâd never hurt you.â
Weakly, you nodded. You couldnât stop your tears, but you didnât know if you wanted to. You hadnât let yourself cry like this in a long time, not with people who cared for you now.
âI know youâre safer than some storage closet, Luffy.â You chuckled, sniffling. âItâs not that I think youâre not, it just... Itâs different.â
âI know it is,â he shifted forward, placing his straw hat on your head. âJust come to one of us next time, yeah?â
âYeah,â you agreed, nodding. Nami rubbed your shoulder, and Luffy slowly stood up.
He offered you his hand, as a choice, and you took it. With little warning, he pulled you up, and almost instantly, dizziness washed over you.
You didnât have enough time to even think.
âOhâLuffy, be carefulââ Chopper warned. But it was too late.
Static spread up your body, crawling into your visionâand as stable as you came, it suddenly disappeared. You went limp, ears blaring as both knees gave out underneath you.
âOiâ____!â Luffy quickly caught you, eyes wide as he held you to his chest. In a matter of seconds, the room erupted.
âIdiot! You canât just pull them up that fast! Their body needs to readjust!â
âReadjust? What does that mean?!â
âHe means acclimatize, Luffy,â Robin sighed, watching your head loll gently against his shoulder. Her eyes softened, âThey just canât seem to get a break, they?â
âNo, apparently they cannot,â Usopp sighed, his head dropping.
âSo whatâthey just passed out?â Zoro ignored, walking over. âAre they okay?â
âYes, and no, I meanâtechnically?â
âChopper.â
âIt was a drop in blood pressure! Orthostatic Hypotension, they had a lot of things to contribute to it, anxiety, dehydrationâstanding up too fast,â Chopper listed, coming beside you.
âWhen that happens, their brain and heart donât have enough blood or oxygen to properly function,â he finished, gently taking your vitals.
âI understood none of that.â Franky blurted.
âExactly, thatâs why Iâm the doctor.â âOk, lilâ bro.â
âThey just passed out, theyâre only unconscious,â he continued, pausing. Worriedly, his eyebrows scrunched.
âOh, thatâs not good, thatâs really low.â
âLow? Whatâs low? Are they dying?!â Usopp panicked. âYohoho, my heart canât take thisââ
âNo, you idiots! They arenât dying, quit it!â Nami snapped.
âThey just passed out, like Chopper said. Just give it a second.â Robin assured.
âYeah, well, I hate waiting,â Franky muttered, standing above Luffy. With his hands on his hips, he watched you protectively, just like the crew did.
If he ever found out whoâd done you harm, to this extent? Bringing your anxiety to an all-time high? They wouldnât walk another painless day. If at all.
âSanji, can you get them some water? Theyâll need something light to eat too, for when they wake up.â âAlready on it.â
â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘
Blearily, you stirred to panicked voices.
Luffyâs hat had tipped to the side, shielding your vision, while Chopper tracked your pulse, and Zoro broodingly hovered . . .
You wondered how long youâd been out, but youâd been too tired to moveâor signal that you were alive.
âGod, there you are.â Sanji sighed, placing a hand to his heart. âYouâre just all over the place.â
âOh, thank goodness,â Chopper muttered, âHow are you feeling?â
You blinked, slowly, very slowlyâalmost grogily. âDid I jâs pass out?â
âYeah, you did.â Nami deadpanned, gently adjusting Luffyâs hat. She looked at the captain, glaring. âDonât ever do that again.â
âI wonât,â Luffy chuckled, âsorry, ____.â
âItâs fine,â you muttered, shakily leaning up. Your balance didnât last, and Luffy let you rest against him. âUgh, I think I got hit by a ship.â
âNo, you got hit by a Luffy.â Usopp corrected, letting Sanji slip by with some water. âHere, thisâll make you feel better. There are some electrolytes in there, so itâs sweet.â He soothed.
âIt wasnât that bad,â Luffy grumbled, but Franky was quick to interrupt. âOh, it was that bad. They folded like a chair.â
âI did not.â You mumbled, though it was completely ignored.
âHow was I supposed to know theyâd do that?â Luffy huffed, his arms tightening around you.
âYohoho, because.â Brook shrugged. âBecauseâ?â
âOk, on a serious note!â Chopper finished, bringing their attention back to you. âYour blood pressure is low, youâre dehydrated, and you need rest. So donât even think about doing anything strenuous.â
You nodded, but went to say somethingâ
âAnd no. Iâm not sure about training tomorrow, weâll see how you feel.â âSeriously?â
âYou just passed out, moron.â Zoroâs eye twitched. âGive yourself a break.â
âYouâre one to talk.â âOiâwatch it.â
âTheyâve got a point, Zoro, I donât know how many times Iâve seen Chopper chase you around.â Usopp plopped a seat beside you.
âHahaâremember when he bandaged him to the mast?â
Here we go . . .
âDonât turn this on me!â
Leaning against Luffyâs side, you listened to the crewâs banter, relaxing. Everyone had made themselves a comfortable spot, lingering close, and your eyes began to droop.
âIt was a good waste of bandages, Iâd do it again.â Chopper proudly smiled, crossing his arms as he finally let your wrist go. âShishiâhe looked like Sanjiâs pork wraps!â
âI did not!â Zoro blushed, scoffing as he turned away. âIâm leaving you to drown next time you fall overboard.â
âNo, you wonât!â âOh, yes, the hell I will!â
Luffyâs hat fell in your lap, and slowly... your eyes closed. The light-hearted arguing acted as a white noise, and as insane as it sounded, the loudness was comforting.
Yet again, everyoneâs voices blurred, but this time it was by sleep, not by the torment of your anxiety. Your body, for once, relaxed, and almost instantly, you were at peace.
In the arms of your captain, and the company of your crew, you could finally rest. It would be okay, and in a matter of no-time, your energy would return.
It wasn't everlasting, only temporarily in the depths of your episode, and you had to remember that it would pass. And I would be okay.
