Where Every Scroll is a New Adventure
A few things to add which I was told about in my self defense course:
- Your elbow is one of the hardest points on your body, same goes for your knee. Make use of them as long as you can.
- Sensory organs are weak points: Jab your fingers into their eyes, hit their ears with slightly cupped hands to rip their ear drums, push your thumbs up their nose until you can't get in further.
- Bite them. As hard as you physically can, try to tear out a piece of their flesh. Even if you don't succeed, teeth marks are unique and can be used for identification. What stops us from biting too deep into our own flesh is inhibitors in our brain. If you want to tear through their flesh, you can
- Go for the throat, especially the windpipe. The muscles there are really damn difficult to train so even if your attacker is twice your size and jacked like a bodybuilder, this likely remains a weak point. If you can hit them hard enough, you'll crush their windpipe.
- It doesn't matter how stupid it sounds, do anything you can think of: biting, scratching, pinching, spitting, hair pulling, punching, kicking. Anything you can think of, do it. You might be fighting for your life and you will stop at nothing.
It's likely they'll let you go if you're too much of a hassle.
Lastly: Don't worry about consequences. In most countries I'm aware of, you are allowed to defend yourself in case of emergencies. If you fear for your life and health pretty much everything is fair game to get yourself out of that situation.
