I’m really not okay right now. I know I shouldn’t be so upset about a show, but it’s been my escape since I found it and I adore these characters so damn much. Please let another network pick up the show and run with it and let these amazing actors tell the rest of these awesome story.

ok so I came across a little malcolm bright fanfic (don't worry babes, linked below, go enjoy) and it began a lil bit of brain rot so hear me out:

(spoilers for the fic, go read it first if you want, commentary/word vomit bit is below)

ok so in this malcolm has a seizure disorder which Gil knows about, but not Dani. stuff gets figured out, others are updated etc. etc.

BUT

my lil goblin brain couldn't leave well enough alone so after like the third time reading this i've decided to pen (or rather type) these ridiculous things i can just about call thoughts

SO

let's set the scene, malcolm (yh for some reason my brain thinks the name looks better lower case? sorry if that bothers you but now it's slightly more symmetrical?) has a seizure while Gil and Dani are there.

(also not trying to romanticise anything, just going off what i got)

Dani and Gil are both used to the Complete Human Disaster™ that malcolm is so obviously they both know seizure first aid for future reference.

(also gentle reminder, if you don't know this go find out, there's like st John's ambulance videos that make you a functioning member of society in under 10 mins)

now, based on the confidence that each of them seem to have regarding the situation, they keep looking at each other like "huh, they seem to have done this before"

so they end up each thinking that malcolm must have epilepsy/a seizure disorder that the other knows about but they never got told.

they look after him, do all the things you have by now learned in helpful video format (wink wink) and everything is fine, right?

THEN

when malcolm eventually wakes up, and is told what happened he is understandably eloquent in saying "wtf, how, why etc." and his surprise makes them realise that for once he wasn't just conveniently leaving out information.

i feel like this started out fine and got slightly more unhinged and less logical as it goes on but if that isn't life i don't know what is

the point may have gotten a little lost and it petered out a bit but i said a thing and it's done so woo

I am gonna get a lot of shit for this but I kind of dont want brightwell to happen. I think they are better off being good friends 😔👉👈

And telling them personally you want more PSon and even why you do if you have time (the more you write the better, but something is better than nothing at all!) The more people who do this the better chance at them seeing and noticing. It only takes about a minute and I’ve already done it. @ing FoxTV on Twitter will not reach the people who actually make these choices, but do that, too, as long as you also do the feedback form. The goal is to get them to notice their fans want it renewed, to make us unable to be ignored. Honestly, the goal is to annoy them enough they just get pissed and say FINE ALRIGHT HERE, like, that’s how shows get saved lmao, showing we’re dedicated and won’t stand for it being canceled before its time. THIS IS TRUE AFTER SHOWS HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN CANCELED BUT I DONT MEAN THIS IN AN ACTUAL HARASSMENT WAY, RIGHT NOW IS THE TIME FOR POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT OF JUST REMINDING THEM WE LOVE THE SHOW, DO NOT TAKE THIS AS ME MEANING “GO PISS THEM OFF WITH 500000 TWEETS FROM ONE PERSON SAYING "RENEW OR ELSE” PLEASE!! The viewership is down an entire million from 3.3 at the S1 finale to 2.3 for both eps 1&2, and it’s likely the competing it with This Is Us (and on 1/19, NCIS). FOX already has 6 new pilots for the fall season, and PSon is their LOWEST RATED SHOW. It’s already being predicted as “most likely to be canceled” by people who do/count up TV Ratings and predict these things.

FOX likely will make their official decision in May (though it’s possible earlier) so the important thing is we start doing this kind of stuff now before it’s too late. That way even if it is canceled still, the show will have a better chance at getting picked up somewhere else knowing how many people like it and fight for it and will watch it.

Please reblog this. Please let people know. If you are or know a Neilson family try to get them to watch live and not delayed (DVR) or Hulu as those count but not seemingly as much. I don’t want this show ending after a cut-short season like it isn’t even worth a proper chance to be better.

It has been done before, even on the FOX channel, but the fanbase is literally entirely on the line for saving it. And I know a lot of people really love this show and the characters, and I have a really good feeling what could happen if everyone gets together to save it.
