I have a bunch of old handmade dresses that I don’t wear anymore since my style has shifted to being more masculine but I still want the experience of making more. Would anyone be interested in me creating some kind of online store to sell the dresses/feminine clothing+accessories? Most of it is gonna be large-3xl but I can make some stuff in smaller and bigger sizes if there’s a demand for it.

Not liking popular things does not make you ‘better’ than everyone else. If you’re a person who says things like ‘I’m not like other people,’ then you aren’t better or worse than them. Popular things are not inherently bad. There are a lot of popular celebrities, trends, songs, clothing styles, etc, that are great and there is absolutely nothing wrong with liking them. ‘Mainstream’ and ‘bad’ are not synonymous, nor are ‘unpopular’ and ‘cool’. Don’t diminish the interests of others just because you yourself do not agree.

I’m finally working on the rough drafts of clothes for Neue & his AU Variants.

37th Ukrainian Fashion Week, Project “ORIGINS” (x)
The project combines traditional wear with modern details while paying the homage to Ukrainian culture, from its origins to its present. Project curators: gallery owner and art manager Maryna Shcherbenko, folklorist and ethnographer Marichka Kvitka.
So, after four days of fighting with the sewing machine, broken threaders, and so much fraying, I finally finished this shan! It will be my first shan in this style - because when it finally started to be fashionable, I stopped buying much hanfu… Also I really hate when the bottom hem is uneven on me, so it will have to be tailored-made instead of buying from the rack.
This post only talks about drafting the patterns and the measurement. The steps of making… I think @yi-gege‘s post here should be enough. I usually sew in the following sequence (not sure if it is the right way of doing it): the back seam, the sleeves, front and back, the collar, and at last the bottom and sleeve hems.
This post also includes some tips on the back seam, the arm pit, the bottom hem, bar-tack at the vents and what to do if you ran out of fabric. Also, while I did not put it in the slides, but do remember to iron before and after sewing every seam to get a sharp finish.
There will be another post specifically on how to collar a hanfu.

Trying to declutter and downsize my stuff so I'm selling some clothes & other items for cheap, but reasonable price. Also, actively searching for a day job so having some starter money from selling on mercari really helps. All funds go to moving out of my parents' house someday.

But I'm so frustrated with clothes shopping. Like, okay so I'm a bit more on the big side - but I should still be able to shop at stores like pacsun and hot topic and other stores for clothes. I should be able to go to Kohl's for shoes, but I can't
Like for example; a pair of shorts I got at pacsun, they were so cute!! Black and white flowers. And they were a size 30, so I assumed they'd fit well. Well fuck me in the ass with a chicken and color me surprise when I discover that they are too small
I, wear a wide 14-16 in normal jeans. So why can't a size 30 fit me? It honestly makes me feel like crap.
Not to mention underwear, oh my fucking god I just want to buy underwear that covers the entirety of my ass cheeks without buying underwear too big. I buy boy shorts panties and still half of my ass is hanging out. I should not look and see my butt cheek popping out like it's a neighbor coming for a cup of sugar I should see that shit quarantined like it's still covid lockdown
It is a pain to find clothes and shoes in my size, and I know many others have it worse when it comes to clothes but it's still fucking frustrating. I should be able to wear ripped jeans from a store like pacsun and be able to do a squat in them without feeling like someone tied plastic around my thighs and belly to extract blood.
I should be able to wear ripped jeans and shorts without my thighs or legs popping out further than the fabric itself and making me look like a damn balloon animal freshly tied. And for God's sake it's even WORSE when I get tights and they look fucking see through on me when they're my size
That's all, just some frustrations about my body and clothes shopping
