I love old doordarshan series, they are short, meaningful and definitely worth watching. Here are my top 3 favourites, in case you wanna binge watch them too🩷
1) Trishna
It's the Hindi adaptation of the classic book 'Pride & Prejudice'. The characters are portrayed accurately and it's a 13 episode series.
2) Kashish
This series highlights the slow burn romance portraying an aspiring actress as female lead and a successful director as male lead. The characters are written very well, I actually watched this before Trishna.
3) Chanakya
This series is directed by a renowned director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. This used to come in the evenings before Mahabharat during lockdown and dare I say, it was my favourite and still is. I suppose, it's the most accurate representation of Chanakya and the politics during the Nanda and Mauryan era. It's longer compared to the first two, but it'll certainly leave you with lots of useful insights and knowledge.

When I was in twelfth grade, I came across this fabulous writer on Wattpad. They highlighted themes of love and platonic relationships and a strong sense of nostalgia. Pretty intense and very beautifully written. Now at that time, I just wasn't mature enough to understand each and every verse, I just wasn't able to, though I tried a lot lol. The books used to make me cry a lot, a lot (I mean a lot okay, u don't understand). Now they've deleted those books, and I have nothing to return to. I'm only left w memories of them. So uhh I had another debate with the same BJP bootlicker friend. This time, the debate was about body image and physique and stuff like that.
He said that guys like girls that have thick thighs and big 🍒 but they don't like chubbyness(is that a word?).
Now, I, as a chubby girl, was curious about this. I said that u can't have thick thighs and big 🍒 if you aren't chubby(to an extent). He said no it's possible and the majority of girls are slim thick. The mansplaining continued. I got pissed. I also brought up the fact that most of the female Indian population is chubby/curvy. He refused to believe it. Said that I don't know anything (about my own gender surprise surprise)

So uhh yesterday I had a debate with one of my friends. We were talking about the exit polls and the elections. He's a bjp supporter, I am Congress supporter. I said that to the common man, it doesn't matter which party win, we're still gonna suffer cuz both parties are corrupt. He started saying that BJP isn't corrupt and it's doing so much good for our country. I called bs on this. Brought up Manipur, agniveer, unemployment in UP and MaHa and how the industries are being shifted to gujrat, how poverty increased, the farmer's protests, Kerala MLA's kid, Ramkrishna cafe attack, mujra and mangalsutra too. He didn't respond to any of these, said I've been fooled by the media, that the opposition is brainwashing me. He tried mansplaining too, saying how he wants to help me get better and be educated cuz I'm uneducated rn. How he wants me to be humbled. I also brought up hindutva, how I am deeply terrified of having to leave my country if hindu rashtra is established cuz I am a minority religion. He said I should be grateful that I get privileges (minority religions don't get privileges, castes do btw). He also stated that bjp is doing good for Indian brotherhood and oneness. The irony.
