Update: Where I’ve been

Okay so this post is gonna be just a quick update on where I’ve been considering that I haven’t posted in a very long time.

So the reason I’ve been inactive for so long is that I just lost the motivation to post anything, I’ve also been dealing with a lot of personal things that I’m not comfortable going into, one of the main reasons is that I’ve just kind of drifted from the beetlejuice fandom, I still ship beetlebabes and love all beetlejuice media but I’ve somehow just drifted from the fandom.

Another thing I feel like mentioning is that my main fandom has changed to a fandom I feel very comfortable in and have made friends in, I haven’t made many friends in the beetlejuice let along beetlebabes fandom but I doesn’t mean I didn’t feel welcome, the babes have been so welcoming and the community they’ve helped build for other beetlebabes shippers is amazing and so kind to others in the community. 

This isn’t a goodbye post of any means to the community, It’s just an update post on where I’ve been while I haven’t post for so long. This isn’t the end of my blog either or even a change in theme because I will be back and posting a lot of beetlebabes content very soon Including edits, fanfiction, and of course one of my favourite kinds of post headcanons.

So until my next post I’ll see you guys again very soon and thank you for reading this post and following my blog.

Beetlebabes headcanons because I can’t sleep

Lydia sometimes tries to scare BJ and it usually works everytime.

BJ tries to get Lydia back for scaring him but she rarely jumps when he scares her but sometimes she does because she likes seeing him happy.

Sometimes Lydia sings thinking no one can hear but BJ always hears her and loves hearing her sing.

BJ used to try preparing breakfast for Lydia but after he almost set the kitchen on fire he’s only allow to make her cereal and anything that doesn’t need heating up.

Once Lydia fell asleep on BJ while they were watching Toy story 4 together, he also ended up falling asleep, but woke up shortly after the film had ended, since Lydia was asleep he carried her upstairs to their bed and then get in bed next to her.

BJ woke up the next morning to Lydia hugging him.

Lydia and BJ both never decide on what movie or genre to watch when they have movie nights so they have a jar with the title of a movie and what genre it is, they add to it quite often since they both love movies.

BJ likes to whisper really bad jokes to Lydia while she’s trying to sleep in the end, she doesn’t sleep for over an hour because her and BJ keep each other up by telling each other the worst dad jokes they can think of BJ using starts it but whenever Lydia does it he bursts out laughing because some of her jokes are worse than his.

Lydia is a blanket hog in bed.

BJ got a soda-stream and made fizzy milk, he enjoyed it.

BJ made Lydia try the fizzy milk, she hated it.

Wow the antis are actually out here being annoyed over someone who won an art competition because the winner just happens to ship Beetlebabes, I can't believe that the antis can't even respect people now and be happy for the person that won the playbill competition.

Next they'll be hating someones just for liking someones art that just looks like Beetlebabes that isn't.

Fucking yikes the antis have hit a new low now.

When will the antis learn how to respect people, just because someone has a ship you don't like it doesn't give you the right to be horrible towards them.

I usually stay out of discourse too but this fandom has so much discourse it's hard to ignore that this point tbh, honestly when I joined the fandom I didn't think there would be discourse especially with ships since I'm in some fandoms that have shipping wars and anti shippers but it's not as bad as the antis in this fandom.

But this fandom has lead me to make friends and that's the best part for me, the anti part is so hateful but the other part is so caring and supportive and honestly this is the best fandom I've been in for a long time considering how nice it is aside from the horrible people in it.

Wanna put a point out there into the open. Antis tell us babes that ‘we hurting children’ and yet I know a babe who has suffered panic attacks because of this accusation because of a specific phobia they have (they’re terrified of hurting children) Antis, they have to remember that Babes are REAL PEOPLE WITH REAL FEELINGS.

I think this right here is probably the worst part of all of this.

We have multiple minors, CSA survivors, abuse survivors within the beetlebabes shippers.  Just because they ship Beetlejuice and Lydia, they’re called pedophiles until some of them snap.  Like what the hell?  We’ve had antis say to those CSA and abuse survivors that are using fanfiction and fan art as a way to cope, that their coping isn’t legitimate.  Like they know better than the psychologist.

Antis “social justice” for these fictional characters is causing actual harm to real live people and that makes you proud of yourself?  Does telling people to kill themselves over two characters that don’t even exist really want to be something that you have on your conscious?  It’s called cyber-bullying.   It’s called suicide-baiting.  These two things are real live problems whereas shipping is just that…shipping.

I’m a huge believer in karma.  One day, antis will get what’s coming to them if they think that shit like that is okay.  It may not be today or tomorrow, but it will come back to bite you in the ass.  When you sit there and ask yourself “what did I do to deserve this”…I hope you remember all this shit.

This is why I say that antis don’t actually care about what they’re fighting for.  They don’t actually care about the children.  They don’t actually care about CSA survivors.  If they did, they would be volunteering.  They would be going out and actually making a difference rather than screaming at strangers on the internet and hiding behind anon.  If they actually cared, they would put their faces next to what they’re saying, but no.  They like to feel important.  They like to feel like they have the upper hand and saying nasty things to people that do something that they dislike is the only way that they feel better about themselves.

Imagine…having so little going on in your life that the only thing that makes you feel better is spreading hate to people you don’t even know.  We’re real live people with real live problems that we have to go through every day.  You don’t know what we may be going through.  There may be someone who absolutely is ready to kill themselves and your condescending, dumbass attitude telling people to go choke is the last thing that they needed to push them over the edge.

Antis don’t give a shit.  They’re in it for the moment.  They’re in it to make themselves feel better and to maybe look better to other strangers on the internet that would turn on them in a minute.

They don’t care that we’re real people.  In their mind, they have watered down the term for pedophile so much that they equate pedophilia to shipping which all in all, only harms the people they so-called “want to protect”.  Rather than children being aware of what actual pedophilia is and what to look out for…they’re going to equate it to shippers.  Meanwhile, the real monster may be lurking around the corner ready to strike while they’re distracted because they don’t know the actual meaning of the word or the difference between the two.

- Celebrated MULTIPLE anniversaries throughout the series.

- Have literally dozens of pictures of each other.

- Actively participate in courtship of one another (beetlejuice gets lydia flowers, lydia tries to seduce beetlejuice, beetlejuice takes lydia on dates to fancy restaurants/on vacations, lydia wants to meet his parents)

- Have keepsakes from one another (pendants, rings, brooches, other sentimental gifts)

- Understand each other on a deeply personal level and DO NOT WANT TO/TRY TO CHANGE EACH OTHER.

- Show physical affection AT LEAST once an episode.

-created a whole child together (Beetlejuice is referred to as Doomie's father and Lydia as his mother on MULTIPLE occasions)

- exclaim constantly that they "Can't live with out" one another...

- Are jealous when the other pursues someone else.

So basically an anti saw my last post and clearly didn't read that I said no one would have a problem with Beetlejuice X Lydia if Lydia and that was my main argument but they clearly ignore that, commented and then blocked me so, I couldn't see the comment so I decided to see what it said in my browser and this is what it said for those who also couldn't see it.

So I'm getting real annoyed with antis since most of these antis seem to ship Beetlejuice X Adam and that's fine so to their logic if Lydia was a dude, they would probably ship it and say it's okay because he would one of their "Precious UwU soft yaoi Bois" because we all know most of them are fujoshi which are fucking disgusting.
