When the characters are Intrinsically Connected to each other and keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Constantly thinking they’re too weak to save anyone and trying to hide any sign of vulnerability for fear of being shunned. I love you good character writing

istg just when you think a character cant possibly be more traumatized than this theres people in the fandom. fucking. psychoanalyzing them by breaking down their every thought and action and you realize that they are, in fact, a lot more traumatized than you think.

So I’m singing “Diggy Diggy Hole” in the shower because I had it stuck in my head all day. I end up playing with the lyrics to make it female-centric (making the first line “Daughters of the mine, rejoice” and changing “brothers” to “sisters”) because I’m imagining myself as a soprano opera singer with a female choir/metal band in the background. Now I’m suddenly homesick for some made up Erebor-like realm where me and the dwarrowdams (and elf maidens if they want to join- we don’t discriminate!) are digging holes, forging elaborate tools, weapons, and trinkets, cutting gems, cultivating rock formations (because we’d totally have a version of the Glittering Caves), toasting to our glorious Queen Under the Mountain, and feasting to our heart’s content without judgement far below any outside threats. 🥲

I love how I'm always reading things on tumblr about some people's school being wild and crazy and I'm always so upset because my school's like that until I realize... wait, we do have some goofy things.

The purpose of this post is to tell you about how my choir teacher keeps a notebook with the strangest things he's heard in any of his classes. Here are some of the quotes I remember:
