RABIESSSS!!!!!!! an open species by me, Finch Rabies! (credits plz)

These little buggers are just silly aliens. The example pictured is zomp, one of my OCS. Zomp is a Rabie, that's pretty much the only reason this race was created! just silly aliens guys with similar energy to slimes from slime rancher lol. They're based on cats, lizards, and bug aliens.

Here's a ref sheet with some examples on what rabies look like, how they work, and some design elements you could use! No gatekeeping or restrictions on designs!

Okay, so I used to write short horror/Gothic/scifi stories (which I might post here soon), but anyway, I just thought of a story concept and I need to know if it sounds atleast somewhat interesting.

(A very rough and audhd concept i know needs polishing)

So, the main character is a test tube baby made specifically to be better than regular man through both some light cybernetics and genetic mutation. However, her parents try to raise her normal for a time. She reached young adulthood and was too sheltered that when she goes out into the loud scary world, she's overwhelmed and is having a hard time coping.

Suddenly an alien crashes in front of her/maybe it's just eating her trash, and she thinks it's a wild animal at first only knowing from TV and stories. So when she sees this 8 foot tall fleshy carapace bug humanoid thing she treats it kindly and feeds it. Soon she discovers it can change its form(I definitely wanna make it a visceral and graphic transformation, think animorfs but bloodier) she still can't do human speech but does learn sign language.

It's eventually revealed that The alien (I think I'm gonna call her Mixy) is on the run and hiding from the Mi-go (They are possibly my favourite sci-fi race, and they are public domain!) So now they both have to stay hidden and fight these highly advanced and decently intelligent xenos.

Only for the MC (I can't really think of a name, open to suggestions) to find out that she and her alien love interest arent so different in origin (yes, I had to make it gay! Sue me!)

Well? What do you, someone who totally read this far down, think? Should I pursue it further? Or does it sound too crazy? I'm open to suggestions! 😊

I want to simply put it here.

Kondrat smugly slides a piece of paper to the other side of a a table in the dining hall. Big part of the science crew stands behind him, whispering about his choice. Its not an every day that something grant like this is happening. His opponent takes the paper and examines it. Another part of a crew is behind her, whispering and hushing each other. Its her time to make a step, she had to choose wisely, so much depended on the outcome of this. Every second she was planning and strategizing, but time was limited and it was running short. She had to do it. Breath in... Breath out...

She writes it on a paper and slides it to her opponent and taps the timer to her right. Whispers behind her grow louder.

" Mm, up left corner. Good choice…”

Kondrat muses aloud. She can’t stop but fidget with her pen. He complimented her move. His face doesn’t show if he’s stressed like her or not, but knowing him Kondrat is just coldly strategizing without anything else plaguing his mind. He quickly draws a circle seemingly not hearing gasps and loud whisper behind him. The timer is tapped by them. The paper is slid right in front of her. She looks at it in horror but there is nothing monstrous on a paper. She looks at it, then at Kondrat, again at the paper, then at Kondrat. 
Their smug face almost instantly vanishes as they realize what mistake they’ve made. He hides his face behind his hands and scratches his horns, muterring something. She looks at him and blindly draws her finishing X. The paper is in front of him again, he takes it and looks at it tiredly. His eye are getting wider each time he looks up from the paper to her.

Why- Why is he so confused?

She did the finishing stroke! He was supposed to look defeated, not confused! Then he puts the paper on the table, sighs and draws his circle. She now can see their tic-tac-toe board and everything is like last time but when it’s in front of her again -

THE X IS LOWER!!!

She hides behind her hands much like her opponent and lets out a sheaky breath. It’s repeating again! It’s the 20th time in a row when both of them get distracted and do a wrong move! Noooooo…

She fills up the last free space and slides the paper in a middle of table. Both, she and her opponent sigh defeated, covering their eyes in embarrassment. Someone comes up and adds the paper to the stack of draw results.

“ How you do that? It’s been going for hours!“

People behind them moan tired, she can even hear a certain wheelchair user taking his bets. She probably should later ask the spaceship computer to delete a part of their tic-tac-toe tournament, because no-one would want to watch them struggle with that child's game for so long. She looks up and sees tired Kondrat stretching out his arm to her.

“Draw?” He asks quietly.

She takes his arm and shakes it slightly.

“Draw.” People behind them cheer.

I wrote it after being inspired by some post on tumblr, sadly I don't remember what that post was about. And I wrote that a month ago or smt.

Funny thing I know absolutely nothing about Kondrats' opponent, because at first Dorzo was supposed to fight in the tic-tac-toe tournament, but I decided that he would lose much earlier. So I made her (noname for now I think), but she probably works as an engineer on the spaceship.

Kondrat is the security leader on the spaceship. He is kinda of a hothead, but that somehow doesn't prevent him from doing his job excellently. He had to swallow his pride for his last line L.

About the tic-tac-toe tournament. Its just a silly little event so scientists and workers wouldn't go insane from doing nothing but work with the same people for like half a year. Its like a mental safety practice (idk how to name it).

Life Cycle of a Peridot

Hi, so there's my Tiny Gems AU again. I love these little guys so much. Think of them as a mix between plant and insect (inspired by ants and leaf sheep. If you don't know what a Leaf Sheep is I implore you to search it now! :D)

This is kind of a gemling Au but not really since gems still emerge from walls and the diamond are the only ones with essence to make them (like queen bees) Young Gems need to eat materials that have minerals related to their gem, but after that they only need sunlight to live. Gems are still immortal but commonly fall prey to falling boulders and large organics. They just get gobbled up. (Our Peridot is spoiled though, don't worry about her.)

How this alien crashed...

1- Kashi pulls up his terminal, he's been on mission for about a week on moon 0089 and is ready to go home and see his family. "Time to go home"

2- beep beep beep Kashi turns away from his terminal mumbling, "Hm? whats-" his hovering finger accidentally pushing the wrong planet while his head was turned.

3- jumping now The consul says, Kashi didn't even have any time to deny the order before it was already too late and he was jumping. Yes, Kashi is a space exploring and is a trained pilot but he's never done a jump before! This moon wasn't even that far from his home planet! As the stars start to zoom by, he remembered his training-- Cover his eyes or you'll go blind. The only problem was where that blasted button was. His antenna move a bit and he can kinda see the layout of his ship, he covers his eyes fully with his right hand and quickly reaches for the consul. It was hard fighting against the speed and the force pushing against him but he slams his hand down on the button.

7- His ship stopped hard. He swears it almost threw him out of his seat but his seatbelt stopped that. When he did open his eyes, the glass of his window was splinting. "shit" He need to get out...

8- The consul was smoking. "that's not good..." Okay... After a deep breath he hit his arm against the already splinting glass and crawled out... He didnt even think about putting on his helmet as he carefully stood up and calmed his breathing. He heard this... noise... It was weird like... He looked over his shoulder and saw the city. He didn't know how long he had been looking before he remember his ship-- What would he do now?

I've opened up the rabbit hole in my brain for Ford and Mabel interactions because of the comments on my last post with @sharksfrommars so now I need to write a little drabble with them for my au.

A sharp gasp made it's way to Ford's ears followed by a quick short "Oh my gosh". He looks up from what he'd been reading to be face to face with Mabel staring directly at him with bright, wide eyes.

A feeling of self-consciousness and worry makes it way through him. Had he done something odd without realising it? He's readjusting to human social norms and getting used to the ones in this time, after all.

"Oh my gosh! Grunkle Ford!" Mabel squeals, putting her hands on her cheeks and looking at him with pure, admittedly adorable, excitement.

Furrowing his brows, Ford tries to think what he could've done subconsciously that would've caused excitement, this much at that, within his great niece. Before he can even think of how to phrase his question to Mabel on what's excited her so, she continues to talk.

"Are you married, Grunkle Ford? Is that a wedding ring? That looks like a wedding ring. Why didn't you tell us you were married!?"

Oh. That was what it was. Ford felt a slight tightness build in his chest and rise to envelope his throat, too. It's only been a week since Ford had been torn from his home by the opening of the portal, something he doesn't think he could ever forgive Stanley for, but it feels like it's been a lifetime since he's seen his husband and daughter.

The pain feels almost unbearable at times, to accept that he'll never see his family again. He's been torn away from them and is probably as good as dead in their eyes.

But... this is Mabel who's asking about it. She's just an innocent, curious, young girl and for her he can steel himself to talk about his husband at least. Not his daughter, that pain cuts much too deep to talk about yet. Maybe that pain will cut too deep for forever.

Taking a deep breath, he looks down at the wedding ring that his husband had so lovingly made for him by hand, having wanted to do something human for Ford in the aquatic world they called home.

"His name, my husband that is, is Nimyrlov," He starts, looking into Mabel's eagerly excited eyes.

I also have to make a kholod country map soon so hopefully I will have enough time to do that. :)

I made a Birrin killsat concept called the Reclaimer. :)

I don’t know any Birrin groups before the fall so I just made it be made by the reclamation, and i imagine the reclamation just reverse engineered from pre fall kill-sat designs. I think it would be like the Odin project from COD Ghosts where it has multiple projectiles in one large projectile. This design is 100% fictional, by the way I just thought it would be cool to make a Birrin military ship. Also the Birrin project belongs to @alexriesart

I am creating a speculative biology project!!!! :D
