Where Every Scroll is a New Adventure
Happy Klavier Gets His Life Fucking Ruined Day
SPOILERS FOR ACE ATTORNEY: APOLLO JUSTICE
There's something so beautiful yet tragic about all of the similarities in the lives of Vera and Lamiroir. I felt the need to share my thoughts with any fellow Ace attorney fans out there. Just so you know, I've only played the trilogy and Apollo Justice, so I don't know what will happen in the rest of the series, but still.
First of all, the theme of being a painter of what they can't see. This was what set my thoughts off to begin with.
We learn in case three that Lamiroir is described as "The Landscape Painter in Sound," taking inspiration from the different parts of the world she's seen. Yet later in the case, we discover that she's, in fact, blind. This means the "paintings" she is well known for is a fake concept. She can't see the landscapes she's painting with her music. Later, we even learn that all of the music is made so that everyone, regardless of where they live, feel like her music hits home.
As for Vera Misham, she grew up forging art pieces, living an extremely isolated life. Her only acquaintance was her father, and she barely saw anyone else, except the rare case of a few visitors. She also barely went outside during that time because she almost got kidnapped as a child. Due to that, she had a very isolating life, and so she never really got to explore the world for many years. She was a painter of what she couldn't see.
Vera and Lamiroir are parallels in their story. They switch between being able to see the world they abode in and being isolated from it.
To start off with Lamiroir again, she begins off her life as Thalassa Gramarye, a part of the legendary magic group of the Gramaryes. The Gramaryes were very successful at winning the hearts of everyone and appeared on television regularly. Back then, she still had her vision fully intact. Yet one unlucky day, during one of their rehearsals, she was shot by accident. That was when she lost her vision and memory of her life as a magician.
As for Vera, she began off as a small child, living a fairly normal life. But due to the trauma of the almost kidnapping, she essentially never left her apartment. She couldn't see the world anymore due to the state the trauma left on her. Later on, she is in a murder case regarding her father. She goes outside and ends up poisoned due to her atroquinte-filled nail polish. When she ended up almost dying, her fear of the outside world died, too. She is now able to see the world again!
A fun note is how it took a near death experience for both of them to alter their perception of the world.
In short, it's so beautiful how connected their paths are despite being basically strangers. Sorry for the long textblock. If you guys have any thoughts, I would love to hear them!

Title: Polly and Trucy meet with their new papa
In the style of "Max et Lili" (a French series of books depicting the life and vicissitudes of two siblings by author Dominique de Saint Mars), I decided to make it Ace Attorney style.
