I’ve Been Asked Many Times What Someone Should Look For When Trying To Find A Good Artist. The Best

I’ve been asked many times what someone should look for when trying to find a good artist. The best way you can do this is to look at their portfolio, whether it’s in a book at their shop or online. If they don’t have good work in their portfolio, they’re probably not good artists.

The shop may be clean, the people there might be nice, and the design they draw up for you might be exactly what you want, but if your artist doesn’t stand up to the points listed above, then you’re going to get a bad tattoo.

It’s okay to walk into a shop, talk with an artist for a while, and decide you don’t want a tattoo from them. Even if the artist has a bad attitude about it or tries to convince you to just let them do it, remember this is going to be on your body for the rest of your life.

I like the word gay. But I like “lesbian” better.

I like it because of Sappho of Lesbos, a lesbian and a Lesbian whose memory reminds us that women who loved women existed long before any time on earth that any living person can remember.

I like it because of Sappho’s poetry, the sweet prose she wrote for the goddess Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Aphrodite has her counterpart in the Roman goddess Venus, whose symbol has evolved to represent the woman, the female, the feminine.

I like it because of its culture and history. Butch, fem, stud, dyke. Bars where women drink and dance and laugh and kiss other women. Boston marriages. Women’s colleges. They wanted Ellen to get a puppy but she wanted to kiss a lady.

It hasn’t all been pretty. This word has been taken from us, made into a fetish, a porn category, fuel for men’s libidos. Hysterical. Asocial. Deviants. Lesbians.

But that makes me love it all the more—to spite them, to spite the men who salivate over us, to spite the churches that rally against us, to spite it all. But I wear this badge for more than just spite. I wear it for love. Love for women, love for our history, love for love for… lesbian.

It’s not a dirty word. It’s beautiful, and I am proud to call myself a lesbian.

you ever wanna just live with your girlfriend in a nice suburban cottage that feels rustic and homely.

flowers of all colors in the front, flower boxes in the windows, and fairylights on it all year long.

with a nice cobblestone path leading up to it, a body of water nearby, and plenty of green scenery around, all kinds of animals living nearby.

the walls inside are decorated with a bunch of pictures and memories of eachother, and you snuggle up with a woolen blanket together on a fuzzy couch.

I Got My Son A Book Called ‘jack, Not Jackie’.

I got my son a book called ‘jack, not jackie’.

Its about this little boy whose sister is intent to label him as a girl. She eventually realizes that regardless of what she calls him he is still the same person as before.

I don’t know if my son might one day be my daughter. But i want him to know its always okay to wear his princess dresses.

So today I went to the straight pride event in Boston. I spent a lot of my time handing out water and snacks to counter protesters.

During this time counter protesters were arrested, people were pepper sprayed, a friend of mine had a police bike slammed into her throat twice.

A Trump supporter stalked someone through the crowd and grabbed someone and started a physical altercation.

A cop at one point shook his pepper spray in my face. It wasn't until I pulled out my phone that he walked away.

At another instance a cop stood in front of me with his hand on his gun.

When the protest ended the cops pushed us away from the straight pride people using force. They used a barricade of their bikes. I was chatting with my friend collecting water when suddenly I heard screams, people running, and I felt pepper spray sprinkle my face. People were being carried away from the police to have milk poured in their eyes. At least 5 people were sprayed in that instance. Eventually someone was hit by a police motorcycle. At some point a tourist group got hit by pepper spray getting a child. A child was pepper sprayed.

All of this happened across the street from the Holocaust Memorial and along the freedom trail.

When you die, your atoms are reborn into something new, meaning that we’re all made of bodies of the past

Your first time is NOT supposed to hurt

You are NOT supposed to bleed

If you bleed, that is NOT your hymen being ‘popped’, it is a tear due to lack of sexual arousal and natural lubrication.

This is all a MYTH perpetrated by men so they don’t have to make sure you are comfortable and sufficiently aroused enough before you have sex with them. It is an excuse to disregard and hurt you.

I just really want women to know this.

hey not to be a killjoy but can y’all spread the carrd about what’s going on in Poland

obvious warning for homophobia, transphobia, etc. in the link above.

I was born there. I have countless of LGBT friends there, and the fact that this is happening in the year 2020 is inhumane and terrifying.

If you’re Polish, vote in the upcoming election. If you’re not polish, please spread the carrd around.

I am not an ideology. Nie jestem ideologią.
