Achilles: Do you like-like me or just like me as a friend?
Patroclus: *exasperated* I literally just railed you. What do you think?
it’s very Annabeth to be stabbing something in our first real look at her
best boys ever
it wasn't until i watched the third episode that i realized how essential grover is as a character. he knew both percy and annabeth as individuals, before and during their journey into the godly world. he understands percy's devotion to his humanity and his inexperience with his godly side. notably, he also understands annabeth's devotion to her godly side and her inexperience with her humanity. so when these two inevitably get into arguments because of their opposing worldviews, he is the perfect mediator because he understands both of them. and no other character could have balanced these two out as well as he does. not even the books explicity address this significant detail, but the tv series does this in the third episode. gods, this show just gets better and better every week.
thinking about how inej was touching her legs when kaz asked if she was injured post-kidnapping. thinking about how he left his cane beside her when he left the warehouse. thinking about how kaz might have thought she was injured so he left his cane for her to use if she wanted to wander around the warehouse. thinking about how kaz might have thought she was injured so he left his cane for her to use if she wanted to wander around the warehouse. thinking about how kaz might have thought she was i-
some people literally watched this teaser and are still adamant the casting is not perfect. wdym. percy looks confused in every shot that he's in. grover looks fucking terrified on the verge of a mental breakdown. annabeth is stabbing someone. how is this not perfect for you. LOOKS DON'T MATTER AS LONG AS THE ESSENCE OF THE CHARACTER IS THERE!!!!
do you ever wonder if at Jan Van Eck's party there was someone praying for divine intervention or something and then Kaz Dirtyhands Brekker and Wylan disguised as some guy from Shu Han fell through the ceiling
Sure, maybe the firepox caused his raspy voice or maybe it's the fact that this guy is quite willing to swallow any tools he might need for a job with no qualms about throwing them up later.
Maybe it was both.
A moment of peace and quiet before everything went looney tunes
"To hell with revenge, to hell with his schemes. If Rollins had done something to Inej, Kaz would paint East Stave with his entrails"
- Crooked Kingdom
I don't think we talk about this much, but this one line just shows how important Inej is, to Kaz.
Revenge is the foundation of Kaz's life, his sole purpose, his final destination, his motivation. The reason he lives. Revenge is why Kaz didn't give up. Revenge is everything to him.
And yet he was willing to give that up. For what?
For Inej. Inej Ghafa. His Wraith. The only person he could trust and knew won't use his secrets against him.
And I think it is very important.
