Sort of obsessing over the concept of Tim, having been acknowledged canonically as a talented photographer, using these skills for morally gray reasons. This kid doesn't intend to use his fists to win every battle, or even most battles, actually. He's well-connected, fits into unconventional hiding spaces due to being lean and slender and 5'6", and he has a very nice camera. So really, Senator, it's a shame you thought you'd get away with so much. Think of what the Times could do with this evidence. High-definition doesn't lie. ok but i saw someone on tt pointing it out that kenjaku, who has been switching bodies for like YEARSSSSS, and for the first time ever the original hosts’s body reacted when gojo called out suguru’s name 😭 he even CHOKED himself SO SO hard that it left marks, that i never once noticed, on his neck LOOK AT HOW KENJAKU IS HOLDING BACK

it wasn't until i watched the third episode that i realized how essential grover is as a character. he knew both percy and annabeth as individuals, before and during their journey into the godly world. he understands percy's devotion to his humanity and his inexperience with his godly side. notably, he also understands annabeth's devotion to her godly side and her inexperience with her humanity. so when these two inevitably get into arguments because of their opposing worldviews, he is the perfect mediator because he understands both of them. and no other character could have balanced these two out as well as he does. not even the books explicity address this significant detail, but the tv series does this in the third episode. gods, this show just gets better and better every week.

I have to be honest. As much as I love making fun of Bruce and Tim, I think that they’re more talented than fanon makes them out to be.

Like, the point of Batman as a character is that he’s unrealistic. It would be a very boring story if they made it realistic. Yeah, realistically, he’s not prepared for everything, but this isn’t realistic! This is a silly comic series about a man who has sent a box of live bats to another human being more than once!

I want that unrealism! I want Bruce to be able to get out impossible situations because he saw them coming! I want his convoluted, dumbass plans to work flawlessly! I want his plan to “fail” only for him to wink at the camera, revealing that failing was also in the plan!!

Batman is such a comforting character! I’m always “How’s he gonna get outta this one” instead of “Can he get outta this one” and it’s very nice!

He’s lame, he’s cringe, he’s the worst, he’s the dumbest man alive, but Bruce Wayne is never surprised and that brings me a great amount of comfort and joy.

Tim is the same way. I don’t want to think about a realistic fifteen-year-old being Robin, I want to think about the unrealistic ability Tim has to be completely unnoticed even by those with super-hearing. I want Tim to inexplicably think of every possibility and have a million contingencies, and while Tim does get surprised, he’s the most adaptable person on the planet, he can remake his plan in milliseconds!

I don’t want to think about Tim or Bruce failing or whatever. I want Tim and Bruce to inexplicably be all-knowing. Batman has managed to beat up Superman more than once, Robin xan inexplicably punch like a bullet through fucking water, and they both are billionaires with souls, do you really think I’m reading these comics for realism?

kindness and freedom despite everything IS punk. and Hobie destroying the system with that is so fucking powerful and beautiful. he is the embodiment of punk, and its not just an aesthetic. even if he wasnt aesthetically punk, he would still be punk because punk IS his character, it is his values, his morals, his message.

gods i just keep finding more reasons to love Hobie so deeply. he's genuinely one of, if not, the most inspiring character i have ever witnessed in media.

Can someone explain to me why people are boycotting the new Percy Jackson series. I understand that Disney is evil for different reasons, but why does this boycott seem to only happen when talking about Percy Jackson?
