Vietnamese Javan Rhino This One Was Very Fun To Do. I Had A Very Low-quality Photograph As A Reference

Vietnamese Javan Rhino This one was very fun to do. I had a very low-quality photograph as a reference and I had to invent all the textures and wrinkles and also the color. Very challenging but I'm happy with the result.

There was a very small population of fewer than 12 individuals living in Cat Tien National Park in Vietnam. The last Vietnamese Javan Rhino (a subspecies of the Javan Rhinoceros) was shooted by poachers in 2011 in Vietnam. This animal used to live around very poor populations of villagers that were very hard to convince not to kill them, knowing that its parts could be sold for good money. Let's don't forget that those who decimates the population was mostly European trophy hunters at the beginning of the 20th century.

Risso's Dolphin Grampu griseus Family: Delphinidae Genus: Grampus Status and Conservation: Least Concern Working on this one was very relaxing. Dolphins take me not so much time and still, the result is nice, So I usually work two every week I'm working on this family. Still amazed at how little I know about this bug family and how interesting its members are. If you want to know more about them, you can join my club here ____________________________ That will be it for this week. If you like the content, leave me some love. Reblogs are also loved. This blog is becoming the most complete source of mammals. Adios!

I Think We Take Giraffes For Granted. Studying Its Evolution Must Be Really Fascinating. How An Animal

I think we take giraffes for granted. Studying its evolution must be really fascinating. How an animal evolved its neck in such a long size in order to reach food that no other could? And, Why is not strange to us an animal with such particular features? Still is great that an animal had developed weird characteristics to survive but I see some holes in its path of evolution. That will be when they have to go to the ground. I don't think there is any other animal in nature that have to put itself in such a very uncomfortable position in order to do something that is so vital and "simple" as drinking water. I would love to live millions of years more to see where the evolution of the giraffe will go. I would love even more that the giraffes last enough to keep evolving. Thornicroft's Giraffe It is also called the Rhodesian Giraffe. It is commonly seen as a subspecies of the Masai Giraffe but some scientists believe is a single species. This subspecies has a particularly long neck and is among the largest of all subspecies of Giraffes. It has been seen that the coat of giraffes darkens when they grow up which could be a way to know the age of an animal. However, further studies need to be conducted.

Is a giraffe exclusive to Zambia and its numbers are no longer than 550 individuals. No populations are kept in captivity and tourism has been a way to protect them since they are a very popular sight in Africa. 20% off in my store starting tomorrow and running the whole next week. Check it out here ________________________________________________ Credits: Rhodesian Giraffe Photo Credits: Harvey Sapir ________________________________________________ Thank you guy for all the love and support. As You Might Already Know, I Am Working On Illustrating All The World's Mammals, Including Subspecies.

As you might already know, I am working on illustrating all the world's mammals, including subspecies. I've created over 200 realistic illustrations and counting. I've been exploring ways to promote my work, and as you're aware, I've established a club for this purpose. Among the options, I conceived the idea of an EAlbum to collect digital stickers featuring animal illustrations.

I want to be honest with you—while the EAlbum isn't exactly as I envisioned, it reflects the extent of my programming knowledge. In the future, I hope to implement the complete dynamics of a sticker album, allowing people to swap, buy, and sell stickers. For now, subscribing club members will receive four stickers each month to add to the album.

The album provides key animal information such as family, genus, and conservation status. The inaugural album focuses on the Perissodactyla order (Rhinos, Tapirs, and Horses), but as the project progresses, more albums featuring various animal families will follow. Both the album and instructions will be available when you join the club.

Have a look at the club options here: Discovering Club Another way to support me is by liking, sharing, and/or following my social media, helping spread the message to a wider audience. Thank you and see you soon with more animal stuff. Quedamos Q.A.P

Kabonabi Tapir

Kabonabi Tapir

This Tapir is relatively new discovered. Although The ex-president Roosevelt shoot one in 1914 and named as a new species, the scientific Marc G. M. Van Roosmalen discredited in 2000, Until it was named as a new species in 2013.

However, the aboriginals that inhabit the Amazon knew that they coexisted with two different species of Tapirs, the Amazon Tapir and the Kabonabi Tapir. This was principally due to the difference in coloration and size. In Brazil, the Kabonabi’s tapir is called danta pretinho, which means Little Black Tapir.

Its status is unknown but is believed to be vulnerable.

For Those Who Are Been Following Me For A While, This Post Might Be A Little Strange Because The Rhinocerontidae

For those who are been following me for a while, this post might be a little strange because the rhinocerontidae family was previously posted. However, I think this project has evolved so much that it was worth it to re-visit those old posts and update them.

Southern White Rhinoceros

This is the most common rhinoceros of all the family and the less endangered. However, this doesn't mean is in danger of disappearing.

The rhino horn is more expensive than gold making the rhino a very tempting target. On the other hand, in the countries where it can be found, many people struggle with poverty, forcing them to risk their lives trying to hunt them because rhinos are heavily protected.

Who is to blame? The people who hunt them? Definitely No. They are just a tool who is forced to hunt because they need the money to sustain their families, they have little choice. Besides, their revenue is very small. To blame someone will be the final client. The one that is eager to pay a lot for the horn. If there is no demand, there is no business. Anyway, is a tricky subject with many points of view. What do you think? _________________________________________________________

Thank you so much guys for your interest Check out my Instagram Or my store. Cheers!!

It Is Almost Impossible To Find A Complete Photograph Of The Javan Rhinoceros. Doing This Illustration

It is almost impossible to find a complete photograph of the Javan Rhinoceros. Doing this illustration was very challenging but also I had to be more creative.

Indonesian Javan Rhinoceros

The second species from the Rhinocerontidae genus is the elusive and rarest big mammal, the Javan Rhinoceros. There are about 60 individuals in the world, making this rhino the most endangered big mammal in the world.

The surprising thing is that it wasn't the case 200 years ago. It was the most common rhinoceros in the world and could be found from India to Indonesia (Nepal, Burma, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc). Sport hunting, poaching, and environmental deterioration put him on the brink of extinction today.

It was often confused with the Indian Rhino. The biggest difference will be its size, which the Javan Rhinoceros is considerably smaller, its armor is less marked, and the triangle formed at the back of the neck is less notorious in the Indian Rhino.

East African Hippopotamus

East African Hippopotamus

I appreciate this illustration because it was the second one I did in a hyperrealistic way a few years back. It was essential because it set the tone of the illustrations I wanted to make for this project. I am happy to revisit and work on the information sheet about this charismatic subspecies.

If you want to know about this subspecies and many more, you can join the club. Here

Snow Leopard Panthera Uncia Family: Felidae Genus: Panthera Conservation Status: Vulnerable I Really

Snow Leopard Panthera uncia Family: Felidae Genus: Panthera Conservation Status: Vulnerable I really enjoyed drawing this animal and the outcome really surprised me. I think I learned how to draw felines. Is becoming easier, more enjoyable, and with better results. I feel this one looks like a photograph. I don't wanna sound arrogant but I'm just proud of my work. To see the whole illustration become a member of the club by clicking here. __________________________ Thank you.
