i know that a ton of people hate sundays because it marks the end of the weekend and the return to school and normal routine. but, to make sundays less sad i personally like to do some self-care to relax and prepare for the upcoming week :)
do what YOU want. this is a list of what works for me, but ofc just experiment and make a routine that works for you- these are just some ideas.
meditate. spend 5 minutes doing a guided meditation on youtube. afterwards reflect on what you need to get done this week.
do a hair mask. i like to oil my scalp once a week & massage it, then let the oil sit for like an hour and wash it in the shower. do what suits your hair type and find what oil works for it!
shave & exfoliate. if you shave your body hair then make sure you exfoliate afterward. if your shaving upwards then you're at a higher risk of getting ingrown hairs, especially *down there*- so use a scrub to go over the areas you shave.
face mask! doing a face mask once a week just helps clear up the skin and also it's just fun.
shave your face. make sure you use a CLEAN razor. if you get acne afterwards then don't do this- it doesnt work for everyone.
trim any split ends. be careful but if you have some dead ends then just give a little trim. i always touch up my curtain bangs a little, but just be careful!
trim & clean your nails. if your nails aren't done then shape them up a little bit and clean under them.
go to bed a little earlier. get cozy and do whatever you want- watch some tv, read a book, idk, just do what makes you feel good and then get your rest.
clean up your room. take everything off the floor and put things where they need to be. this is just pretty relaxing and cleaning your room weekly prevents it from becoming a mess.
make a to-do list for the week. if you know you need to get a particular thing done then make a list and put it somewhere that you can see.
clean your backpack. if you're in school then go through your bag- organize it and throw away anything you don't need anymore.

Girls and their floor time against the whole world
I am so, so, so deeply grateful to have found my way around the kitchen. I no longer depend on others to feed myself, I can nourish myself with confidence because I know what I'm eating, I can tune my food like a fine instrument to get it to taste just right for me. I am so grateful that I can access good, fresh, healthy food. I am so grateful to be connected with my ancestors and that I get to carry on the legacy and culture that they built for us. I don't feel oppressed for being a woman who cooks, I feel enlightened. πΉ
Everything I desire I will receive.
MAKE YOUR GOALS/HABITS AN IDENTITY. Your lifestyle makes up who you are, quite literally. If you want to wake up early, then start identifying yourself as an early bird. If you want to get good grades, then start identifying yourself as a studious student. And so on.Β
This helps with feeling more accountable and committed to our goals and habits. However, donβt use this as a reason to overexert yourself.Β
THERE IS SOMETHING UNDERNEATH CERTAIN BEHAVIOURS. All of your bad habits stem from your subconscious. This is why mentally healthy people tend to think more about their physical health.Β
The best way to recognise patterns beneath your bad habits is just to talk to yourself. In any way or any form. Identify it, see what mightβve caused this subconscious thought and then work towards a way to replace the feeling that these bad habits give with a good one.Β
DETACH FROM THE OUTCOME. The more you fixate on the long-term results, the more longer, strenuous and exhausting your journey is going to be, especially because youβre going to want to give up as soon as results donβt appear. Focus on the short-term results.Β
You exercised? Now you feel good inside. You studied hard and understood everything? Great job for being so productive. You did that one really scary thing? What a great start!
THE PART OF YOU THAT DOES BAD HABITS IS NOT BAD. It is the complete opposite of bad. It loves you and wants to keep you safe, so it refrains you from doing anything βscaryβ (which is typically new things in our lives) and makes you fall back on βsafeβ habits which are a coping mechanism.Β
So, instead of berating that part of you that participates in bad habits even if you know itβs bad, understand it. As these coping mechanisms usually stem from our childhoods, we turn to these habits when we feel stressed, anxious or depressed.Β

how to become the best version of myself ? <3
Start by visualising the best version of yourself.
What does she look like?
What does she act like?
How does she dress?
Who does she surround herself with?
What are her hobbies?
Does she exercise?
What is her work ethic like?
What does her space look like?
What does her daily routine look like?
Once you have an outline, start acting like her.
Fake it until you make it <3
