I just don't wanna cry this time
thinking about how last time sjm had a blue cover for her book she delivered her masterpiece that is acomaf so to say I have high expectations for hosab is and understatement.
i'm sick of seeing nesta stans talk about us invalidating her trauma.
i can't name one person who refuses to acknowledge that.
yes she was groomed. yes she was SAd.
but here's the thing:
that doesn't permit her to be abusive.
sjm is peddling this dangerous narrative that not only do victims become abusers, but that it's justified.
refusing to have nesta acknowledge her behaviour means saying it's okay. it doesn't matter if it's explicitly excused or not. not having her confront the abuse she dolled out and explaining it with "oh well she was abused." is excusing it.
sjm destroyed so much of her credibility when she published this horribly written fuckfest of a book filled with retcons about the archerons before and after the cabin and essentially hand waved away feyre's trauma at the hands of her sister because she faced abuse.
Literally aelin
And by $5, I mean for free.
sjm really making me go to therapy just so that i can cry my eyes about the thirteen and the yielding and how manon is all alone now in the wastes as dorian is Adarlan.
people be like all the fae males portray toxic musculanity with ripped muscles and stuff. well did you expect hundreds of years old warriors who are training everyday since they were born to have belly fat.
"I hate this book so I'm gonna make 63826 hate posts about it" my sister in christ you can simply not read it or ignore its existence altogether
New HC: Helion recognized the Illyrian markings for glory in battle Rhys had painted on Feyre when he starts to bring her to the revels.
“Love the new decoration for your new pet,” Helion laughs to Rhysand, who pulls Feyre closer and gives the Lord of Day a lazy grin.
“Indeed. I think they quite suit her.”
They share a glance that to outsiders looks salacious and wicked, but Helion reads the intent in Rhysand’s eyes. He has seen those markings in the books of his libraries and knows. He knows what a bold statement of defiance they are. He knows that this mortal is now their best chance. Their only chance. He knows why Rhys is keeping her by his side every night, why he’s keeping her out of the darkness of the dungeons as long as he can.
And he begins to hope.
