A Season 5 Five

Aka as: Five are you going grey at twenty-four?

Did some quick doodles of Season 5 Five cuz i wanted to have a physical piece of art showing just how much the apocalypse fucks people over, also got to that episode in season five with the zombie in the enclosure. Five really does just need a fucking nap and maybe like at least two days off, is that too much to ask?

A redo of that painting I made in April, but with Five’s finalized season 3 design. Who doesn’t need a little dramatic ZR art in their life? And yes, I did add a crescent moon tattoo instead of Five’s runner band, because what the hell.

Also, I might have done this to procrastinate doing that one piece I’ve been working on for a while :,)

It's an old joke but a good one.

An AU where everything is exactly the same except a single one (just (☝🏻) one) of Abel’s parties doesn’t get crashed by [insert whichever godawful event here] and they just get to chill out for once.

I wanted to start a little art series of the ZR characters as Greek gods/goddesses and heroes. To start it off, I drew Janine as Athena (goddess of wisdom and war/strategy). 

To explain why I’m doing this, I will give a replay of the moment the idea came to me:

Me: Janine is such a goddess.

Some deep crevice of my mind: “’’’’’Janine is goddess.”’’’’’

Yesterday was CHAOTIC so I drew these last night just to chill out but then I didn’t have any energy to post so here we are.

Ft. Sam and Five break into Janine’s house and steal her couch; Jody might be smol, but she angry; and Five, Peter, and Sam annoy the sh*t out of Janine.

I wanted to draw the canon LGBTQA+ zr characters and did so!

Five, Jack and Eugene, Maxine and Paula, and Louise! If there’s any I’ve forgotten about I’m sorry and I am only up to season 4 so there might be people I’ve not met yet.

First time drawing Louise Bailey and quite frankly I really enjoyed drawing her 💕

Five is there because they are cannonly whatever the hell you want them to be!

Bonus:

Samual “I don’t know what my sexuality is and at this point I’m too afraid to ask” Yao

My favourite headcanon is that Sam’s sexuality is ’???’ Because he almost confesses to Five several times even though Five’s sexuality or gender could literally be anything.

Everyone has amazing designs for their Runner Fives, so I thought I’d throw my hat in the ring with mine! Goodness gracious I haven’t drawn in a long time :,)

Some fun facts about my Five:

- Like my url (and like myself) my Five is from the midwestern US. She is singlehandedly responsible for the word “ope” infiltrating Sam’s vocabulary.  

- She is so!! restless!! all the time!!! As soon as those gates are open she has a tendency to fly off like a shot. Jack and Eugene curated a playlist for her that’s mostly comprised of bass-boosted EDM music to help her even out. She uses the beat to pace herself so she doesn’t burn out too fast. 

- Because she is touted as a hero, she has a hard time letting loose and feeling human. She prefers to be the strong and silent machine of a woman whose only purpose is to help Abel township. She and Sam have been working on opening up and being more in touch with her emotions. (This is the basis for 90% of my angsty 5am feelings)

- When not running, her favorite activity is helping with the animal friends in Abel Township. Her favorite activity is teaching the youngsters how to care for them.

It’s been forever since I actually completed any artwork, so this was very nice. I’m back to the bike and back to my missions starting tomorrow!

Draw the Squad - Part One

The gang all fresh-faced and only partially traumatised.

So I got possessed my some spirit of a long dead repressed artist yesterday and sat down for six hours straight to draw this! Like I did not move, thanks hyperfixation. Kinda wanna do it for each season to show how they grow but the cast of characters gets a lot bigger...we will see

Anyway I couldnt find any cannon ages so here are my interpretations of them. Also kinda just this so I could compare all their heights - for reference Janine is exactly 6ft

Okay this is a long one as I walked two missions yesterday and ran four today

Then rat boy both saved my life and ditched me 🐀

Had to save some punks, had a cry about Sam saying he’s a disappointment

Babe, I will hug the shit out of you if you don’t shut your beautiful mouth 😔

That mission with the lesser known runners had me feeling like a part of the popular kids

That’s a whole new feeling for me

Bitch I ain’t not have I ever been popular, maybe if you didn’t pull a stupid stunt like setting a fuckING ZOMBIE ON FIRE YOU WOULDNT BE-

Okay I get it, they are a little tactless, but... honestly. Please just use your heads

Though I do feel bad for how mean Paula and Sam treat Dr Lobatse

A Little Info About My Runner Five Part 2

Since I finished the drawings for seasons 5-8, I can finish this! Again, I will try to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but a lot of this directly has to do with the plot of seasons 5-8, so just be careful with that if you haven’t gotten this far yet. 

General Info that I Forgot to Mention:

When prompted for their real name, responds strictly with the first word that comes to mind, just to mess with people. 

For example: Anyone: “Hey Five, what’s your real name?” Five: “Sunscreen. Apple. Lamp. Paper cup.” 

Night owl 100%

Was an environmental science and anthropology student before Zombie outbreak.

Was 18 at beginning of game.

VERY curious person

Season 5:

Cheeky.

Fears nothing and nobody (due to chaotic idiocy, not courage or anything like that).

Will fight. 

Has developed an affinity for patterned socks.

Wears a piece of red cloth on arm instead of runner’s band because of **certain events that mean they have to be discreet.

“SAY THAT TO MY FACE, IAN!!”

Must protect Ellie. Will throw hands with anyone or anything that threatens Ellie. 

Also must protect Tom. Will throw hands with anyone or anything that threatens Tom.

Season 6:

Noticeably less cheeky. 

Kinda nervous.

W-why is Moon Hippie causing problem again??

Amelia, PLEASE. *Frustrated muttering*

Season 7: 

Anarchist biker gang. Okay. 

Really nervous.

Just. So done. 

Looking more like an anthropologist now. 

Has an ax now.

Anyway, now that I’m done with that, time to open the floodgates for all the ZR art I’ve been wanting to draw. Good day!

A Little Info About My Runner Five

Aha, I completely forgot to put anything about my Runner Five in the original post whoops. I’ll keep it as spoiler free as possible, but I’ll put warnings if there is anything. :)

General Info:

-Chaotic good character

-Internal dialogue 99% of the time: “aaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”

-Likes to paint in free time

Season 1:

Still refers to self as “Mullen’s Base Operative” instead of Abel Runner (but doesn’t mind the nickname “Five” so much).

Wary of everyone and suspicious (and a little unsociable).

Very professional, preferring to keep any conversations related to the mission. 

Level-headed. 

Secretive. 

Few scars (due to cautious nature). 

Season 2-3:

 Refers to self as Runner Five.

 More laid-back (mostly Sam and Simon’s doing).

 Trusting (but a little too much sometimes). 

 Jokes a lot more. 

 Closer to/ more open with people around them. 

Still pretty unsociable, though. 

Chaotic.

Reckless (hence the many new scars). 

**Spoiler Warning for Later Season 3 and Season 4**

Season 3 (Ep. 45) - 4:

Tired.

Traumatized from Moonchild and mind control.

Stressed out.

Very paranoid.

Withdrawn from people (except Sam). 

They’re working through it, though (get it, honey). 

Gradually returns to personality from season 2 later on into season 4.

Also shaved head at some point while being mind controlled, but they don’t remember doing it or why ??

I’m planning on doing more of these for seasons 5 - 8. But in the meantime, good day to you and stay healthy.
