@nohappinessinthisworld Alright I finally did it, NJ headcanons. I had fun doing these

New Jersey-

Refuses to try Poutine, says that it’s just Disco Fries but worse

Suffers every summer, he can deal with the heat but he doesn’t like it

Never fully understood why murder was so bad until around the 90s when some good friends of his got murdered

He doesn’t like hurting the OG13 since he considers them apart of his family, so whenever he does it’s a complete tonal shift for about a week

He doesn’t actually smell all to bad, just like a normal guy, but he can make it worse however it only affects the states

He REALLY hates rain storms, whether it’s tropical or a hurricane or just a storm with lightning he HATES it, he’s actually gotten a lot better since the 2010s since before he would just have a panic attack the entire time (York helped a lot with this)

His hair gets frosted tips whenever there’s snow sticking in the state, if it’s a lot of snow his face will get way paler, his cheeks blueish and his freckles look like snowflakes

“Jersey if you stab Colorado with your skate blade again I’m tellin yer Ma” -Mass every single time there’s a hockey game between NJ and CO

Was inducted into a knitting club by his friend who worked at the library, all the old ladies in the club are very nice and have helped Jersey get as good at knitting as he is now

While he has had a lot of hobbies over the years, he only has a few active ones, such as knitting and cooking and garden/farm stuff (hockey doesn’t count because it’s a lifestyle not a hobby, his words)

Is not a fan of the Nintendo Switch, only owns one because what else is he going to do? Transfer games onto the DS illegally? (yes but that’s besides the point)

Oh he has horns and a tail alright, but he doesn’t have them always, he can just hide them and whatnot so most of the states don’t actually know that he does, only the OG13 know because oh boy did he have horrible control over it as a young child

Was very confused when he found out that the other states don’t have family’s, that they just spawned out of nowhere, in his mind it shouldn’t be possible but it is (“You can’t just CREATE mass like that, just because magic exists doesn’t mean you can just IGNORE SCIENCE!!!!”)

While he cooks a TON at the StateHouse, he actually tends to eat out when at home, support local diners oh and Wawa and QuickCheck

Was very obsessed with demon magic and stuff during the pandemic in the StateHouse, listen he was bored and curious, it was stupid but fun

Have NJ and NY. Just wanted to do a quick sketch, bit bored, hockey in a few hours though so I have that to look forward too :D

Oh look, what a surprise, a drawing from mwah. It's just the boys, NJ stole Rhodes hat and then had his taken by Del. Also yes Jersey is that much taller than them, I meant to put their heights but oops, Rhodes like 5'2 Dels 5'3 and Jerseys 5'8 so take that as you will.

So I wanted to get this done immediately, went onto Pinterest for references because while I never use them, references would be the only way I could do this, got distracted looking at hockey memes, went and bothered my father and here we are now...oops?

Hello small mortal, yes yes I do have some NJ hc’s for ya here ya go :)

NJ braids flowers into his hair even if it’s not long enough and he has definitely tackled his brothers to the ground to put flowers in their hair too.

^he’ll never admit it but NY’s was his favorite to do since it’s long and fluffy.

He’s really good with hair for some reason and no one knows why. He’s one of the only people that NY’s allows to touch his hair.

Taught Texas how to take care of his bat wings since his own wings are very similar and he was lowkey horrified when he found out that Texas was keeping them folded 24/7 and not fixing them when they get hurt and not asking for help when his wings are hurting.

He can do a really loud blood curdling screech if he wants to

But uhm- yes here’s some NJ angst for ya >:D

New Jersey and New York were currently participating in one of their favorite activities to do together. Play fighting! The two have them have always loved play fighting with each other no matter where they were. It was a good way to get out the loads of energy that the two of them had stored up 24/7, and it was quite enjoyable for both.

NJ grunted a little bit as he was headbutted in the chest by NY, who was previously being held in a chokehold. He didn’t let go though, despite NY’s cat-like biting and scratching. He was basically immune to it at this point, being NY’s token scratching post (this is a half joke). The Garden State put in little to no effort when fighting NY, seeing as he was significantly stronger than the latter. That didn’t make the playfighting any less fun though!

That was, until….

New Jersey completely forgot that this was just a play fight, and he threw New York over the couch when he saw the opportunity. See, this would’ve been okay-ish, if NY got up right after. And it would’ve been okay-ish if Jersey didn’t hear a loud whimper along with a thud. Ahhh hell.

He stood there for a minute catching his breath, as well as getting more and more concerned and afraid when his little brother didn’t get up immediately. And he started panicking after hearing the loud whimper. Oh god. Did he actually hurt New York?? What if he did??? Oh god- did NY hate him now???? Was he scared of him maybe???? Either one would be just as bad…. What would the others say if they found out that he hurt a fellow state???? Much more that he hurt his own little brother????? Surely they would hate him….

New Jersey had been so lost in his thoughts that he hadn’t noticed New York calling his name until he felt a gentle bap to the face. He snapped out of it and looked at whoever had just slapped him. New York stood there, with a mildly concerned look on his face. New York stood there. He was okay. Okay. Good. New Jersey would’ve never forgiven himself if he actually hurt his little brother.

"….Jers? Ya good?? We lost ya there for a second." New York said, playfully punching NJ in the shoulder.

"Huh? Oh- yeah- I’m. Im fine."

Based on how New Jersey suddenly found himself pinned to the couch with a hug, New York could tell that that was pure bullsh*t. He wasn’t going to force the Garden State to say anything. He’ll just hug the sadness out of him.

After a few minutes, New Jersey speaks up:

"Did I uhh….. Did I uh- hurt ya by any chance…?"

"No?"

"Mk….. ya sure?? Don’ make me check ya for injuries." New Jersey said sternly, but there was a worried lilt to his voice.

"Jers. I’m fine. Jeez yer soundin a lot like Masshole. Bein’ a mother hen and crap…"

New Jersey just chuckled a bit and laid there comfortably, listening to his little brother’s rambling. He was happy too. That meant that New York okay…..

AHHHH I LOVE THIS!!!!

NJ is so pissed that NY is an inch taller and NY knows it :)

It’s fine tho cuz NJ messes with NY all the time and only stops if he goes too far or if Mass or Connie walk in

When NJ first saw NY’s process of making flower crowns with roses, he was lowkey kinda concerned cuz he saw that NY ended hurting himself with the thorns when removing them from the stem, so he taught them how to do it safely so that NY didn’t hurt themself 😭

Mess with one, you mess with the other. I don’t recommend messing with either one.

NY loves play fighting, but especially with NJ. Even though NJ is afraid of hurting him (one of NJ’s greatest fears is hurting someone he loves <3)

NJ spoke (speaks) a lot for NY when NY couldn’t speak English or was too anxious and/or overstimulated to speak. He still does it. He’s the best big brother (after Mass) that York could ask for.

Whilst NY likes pigeons, NJ likes crows. So they both take walks with their bird friends :] NJ 100% gets along with Kraai (NY’s crow friend that I gave him a while ago)

If NJ thinks that NY is being over-confident or if NY is trying to appear intimidating (he’s not-), he’ll sneak up on NY, wrap his arms around him, and start giving him hair pets and head scritches and he ends up reducing NY to a puddle of sleepy purring adorableness. Then he has a problem cuz NY falls asleep on NJ and NJ wouldn’t DARE to move.

So ok, I wasn't sure if you wanted this to be writing or a drawing or headcanons about them, so I just did a drawing. Sorry btw that it's so late, I had no idea what to do for this.

Hehe I was super excited to do this one but sadly I do things in order of oldest to newest BUT none the less, here you go, our favorite stupid bastards

New Jersey and New York-

Jersey likes to cuddle and York likes receiving cuddles, so it isn’t uncommon to find the two together in the North living room

Jersey = Jer-bear, York = Yorka-doodle, they never call each other these in front of others

They go skating a ton, early morning public skate and public hockey are mainly what they do

Always fighting when it comes to certain foods, specifically pizza and bagels, otherwise they are perfect with each other in the kitchen

Jersey sends York stupid stuff from Tumblr, York does the same but with Twitter

Impromptu sleepovers in York's room happen a lot, York has sleep problems and as said before, Jersey cuddles, win win sitch

They fight, a lot, technically it’s just arguments but to pretty much everyone except the NE, it sounds like fighting (granted the NE sometimes thinks they are genuinely fighting but shh)

“Murder is illegal”  “You can’t murder people it’s rude” etc. are said whenever they are in the city

Despite not talking to each other for about 40ish years, they went right back to how they were before, if just a bit closer

They both fake hate each other, for no reason other than seeing the shocked faces of the other states while they simply cook breakfast together

Just Dance Night (the other states get flashbacks when ever they hear the Just Dance intro)

They like to just exist in the same space, doesn’t matter if they are doing two completely different things, they’ll continue to hang out VIRGINIA

They bet on everything, who will get to the table faster, who will make breakfast the quickest without messing up, everything

They always think to message the other first when something is happening, doesn’t matter if the sitch doesn’t really need the other, they still will

Since Jersey still speaks fluent Dutch and York has his broken messed up Dutch that Jersey understands, they will ‘gossip’ to each other in front of the other states

When they do that, they are really just talking about dinner plans and what movies they should see, but in the most condescending and judgmental tone they can

Movie dates, any movie whether they think it’ll be good or not

They sometimes come of as very big and little brother coded, York being the older while Jerseys the younger, when in reality it’s switched

Jersey finds it hilarious whenever people think he and York are dating, they aren’t, they consider each other brothers and technically are, York always wants to kill the people who do think they are dating, “Murder is Illegal Yorkie” he doesn’t care

Family dinners are once a month with Jersey’s moms and occasionally not, father, father, and York's grandparents

They have so much dirt on each other that if one says something so will the other, you know the nuclear deal between America and Russia? Yeah it’s basically that but with blackmail

If one’s sick the others clingy, if one's sad the others clingy, if one-

They like to dance with each other, even if there’s no music (it’s mainly spinning without music though)

Jersey has bad English days sometimes, so York will translate, on those days they tend to just haul up in York's room and put on a random Hockey game

I am requesting that you request stuff, can it work that way? Who knows who cares, my requests are open please I want something to do :D

New Jersey-

The Garden

The StateHouse garden is probably among the best in the whole country. Containing every single state flower and regional based plants, it’s truly a sight to behold, but it wasn’t always like this.

The original garden was pitiful, pretty much every plant was dead and overall just ruined the backyard. When some of the states asked Gov why it was like this, his answer was that he had no idea and the states are free to do whatever with it. Jersey took this answer and ran with it.

He basically banned anyone from going to that part of the backyard, and would barely be seen during the following weeks, when he was seen he was covered in dirt and mud. Then he started taking states aside, asking them questions about their state flowers and native plants, if the state didn’t know Jersey sent them on a quest to find out (because really you should know this by now it’s your own stat-).

Some states started to get concerned that Jersey wasn’t getting any rest, they never saw him leave that area of the backyard, and when New York heard about this he dragged Jersey away and forced him to take care of himself.

By the time the garden was almost complete it had been 2 months.

When the states got to see the area for the first time they were blown away, everything was done in a way that made sure that it was not only done state by state, but also in a way that made sure every flower and plant had the correct conditions for them to thrive.

No one knew how he did it, but Jersey was able to make everything look cohesive while still feeling like every plant got the spotlight. It felt like he took every chaotic thing that made America America, and made it better and cohesive.

He showed them another thing as well, a food garden and greenhouse, the greenhouse was already there when the states moved in but had been in disrepair, and the food garden was Jersey’s little side project, despite the fact that it wasn’t little and was basically bigger than the main garden.

In the end the garden is the one outdoor space that the states can properly relax in without arguing with each other, and whether that’s because of the garden itself or just a little bit of magic, is up to you to decide.

New Jersey-

Play Fights

Every region has their own thing that they do as a fun competition. The West Coast does comedy nights, where they see who can make the most people laugh. The South has what they call Hunt Offs, to see who’s the best hunter. And the Midwest likes to do cook offs, with the South being taste testers.

The North Coast has play fights, multiple rounds through the course of two days, normally held on a weekend. This includes Maine all the way at the top of the North Coast, all the way down to Florida, which allows for a larger roster.

It started as just a thing the New Netherland area did, over time it expanded to include the whole of the North East, then Delaware wanted Maryland to join and soon it spireled to the whole North Coast.

Of course it started out friendly enough, everyone tended to go a bit softer on Georgia since he isn’t nearly as rough as everyone else. Then North and South Carolina would make a bet when they fought, which had Pennsylvania open up a proper betting pool. The play fighting weekend always ended up with everyone sore to all hell and back, saying to themselves to never do this again and specifically never go up against New Jersey again.

Jersey was strong, while it didn’t visibly look like he could pretty easily lift 400 like it was 20, he could. However he often forgot just how strong he was compared to everyone else, it wasn’t like the rest of the states were weak but when compared to them, Jersey was like a powerhouse.

He isn’t too sure as to why he’s so strong, especially since he normally comes off as looking like a twig, however he did believe it was most likely something demon related. He knows his own demon, not father, father is no slouch in the strength department, and Jersey also knows that he could easily get his strength up more. 

It’s not like he wants to hurt the others, he really doesn’t, sure it’s a bit funny to have Northie pinned down after five seconds of fighting and sure it’s amazing to be better than Yorkie, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that he’s hurting friends, people who are basically his family.

Despite him being significantly stronger than the others, he never has actually won before. He always gets in his head when up against Yorkie, always ends up hurting him the worst, always dropping out after and just watches over the betting pools. 

It’s basically tradition at this point for Jersey to tend to everyone’s wounds after this, whether it’s early in the games or he and Yorkie were in the semi finals, it doesn’t matter. 

Jersey has a big heart, a big heart that can’t bear to see him hurt his family, so he’ll try to make up for it. Cooking for everyone involved, taking care of their wounds if Rhody brought a knife again (seriously he has got to stop doing that), just generally being a nicer person for a good week before he starts to go back to normal.

The next time the play fighting happens, the same thing will happen again, a vicious cycle that Jersey can’t snap himself out of.

So I added a fanfic snippet part to the google doc, wrote one for Jersey, Cali and then York, and York's the only one I want to share at the moment. Maybe I will share the other ones if asked but for now it's just this, ENJOY

New York-

Sleep

New York liked to sleep, it was peaceful and calming and he didn’t have to think about everything going on around him, it was the perfect break from his ADHD mind. However sleep did not like him, he wouldn’t be able to sleep for days until he basically passed out.

Mass was able to figure out that because NYC is the city that never sleeps, New York can’t really either. The two figured out that as long as he keeps up with a routine, he should be able to get to sleep easier and faster, though having a routine has its own problems. 

Table meetings could happen very early in the morning sometimes, and if York had to go to those meetings it would screw his whole schedule up. It wasn’t until one night where he finally was able to have a solution.

It was pouring out, rolls of thunder after flashes of lightning happening what seemed like every second. York likes the rain and thunder, it was calming, especially when the wind was loud, it was easiest for him to fall asleep. 

This was not the case for New Jersey. Jersey hated storms, wouldn’t be able to fall asleep until it was barely raining anymore and that wasn’t even consistent. He used to like them, though not as much as York did, but after hurricane Irene in 2011 and hurricane Sandy the following year, he could never see them the same.

This is why it wasn’t all too surprising to hear hard knocking on his door, opening it to find an exhausted and wet faced Jersey. Letting him in and onto the bed, the two sat there for a long while until York heard light snores coming from the other.

New York sat there even longer just thinking, hearing the rain start to die down he felt himself start to tire. He wasn’t feeling particularly tired before, but now, with Jersey laying on top of him as peacefully as someone afraid of storms can, he felt just as exhausted as Jersey had looked. 

For the first time in a few days, New York found himself able to sleep with ease as the wind slowed and the constant thunder and lighting became less and less. 

The two didn’t speak of this afterward, they never tended to when it came to storm sleepovers, York preferred just to remind him that he’s always free to come over if he can’t sleep, this time however Jersey said that the offer was mutual. 

York thought this over a few nights later when he couldn’t sleep and desperately needed to. Making up his mind, he snapped over to Jersey place, knocked on the door and waited for a moment before it opened.

When Jersey questioned why he was here York only said “Wanna have a sleepover?”.

The last of my NJ headcanons. Now let it be known that there will probably be more in the future, considering he is my favorite, HOWEVER this is all I have for now lol.

New Jersey-

Normally is presenting more as Central Jersey, his tics are from North and South trying to speak at the same time

Because of slightly demonic magic, Jersey is fractured like how his state is, there’s North, South, and Central, they can all split into their own persons with North looking the same, but not for too long

While Jersey has used many names during his life, the one his mothers gave him is the only few actually know, Jonah Eriksson Bakker, Eriksson being his Mother’s last name and Bakker his Ma’s

Despite it being hundreds of years, he still isn’t used to English, words never come out quite right, there’s almost always something just slightly missed pronounced even when taking his accent into account

If he’s upset or tired he has a pretty heavy lisp, which along with his already heavy accent when feeling any emotion makes him pretty impossible to understand, the only ones that do are York, Del, and surprisingly Penn

Likes to call New York ‘Yorkie’ Vermont ‘Monty’ Kentucky ‘Ken’ (he’s the only one allowed too) California ‘Westie’ Florida ‘Dia’ ‘Sunshine’ or ‘Flo Rida’ and says Texas like how a Russian would (he has no idea why he started to he just did one day)

The Jersey Devil is real, Jerseys met it multiple times in his life, sometimes they exist in the same space in the Pine Barrens, but most times they don’t

Jersey has a Jersey Devil plush, had it since he was a young child, it’s his prized possession along with one of Connie’s books from the 1850s that he ‘borrowed’ 

When he was younger, Jersey would go to Devil’s Tree to read, it's how he learn the hard way, that his not father father is not the only demon that resides in NJ

In contrast to York, Jersey LOVES drop towers, thinks that they are the second best theme park flat ride to ever exist (the first are those super scramblers that flip while spinning)

Threw his shoe at York so much that Penn ended up buying him sandals as a joke, a joke that Jersey didn’t understand until YEARS later, he still loves and uses those sandals, his aim is unmatched when it comes to hitting York

Would get hit by Yorkie every time he said the R word (which he still doesn't fully believe is a slur but whatever Yorkie), this was specifically during the 2000s

Has brought every State to Action Park at least once when it was still open, it’s best not to question how he convinced Alaska and Hawaii or literally any other State, it’s just best not too

Jersey has a little devil that could in theory be related to the Jersey Devil, it's name is Impy

He’s the type to scold someone for doing something idiotic, but then doing the same exact thing 5 minutes later. And if you say anything about it or call him a hypocrite, he can and will stab you. Repeatedly.

NJ is the one that taught NY how to PROPERLY take the thorns off roses without hurting himself. Cuz NY would just straight up pull them off with his bare hands (and he’s got paper skin so—) and end up cutting himself. So NJ taught him to do it with gloves on a pair of pliers or small scissors.

Likes to pick on NY but stops the moment he either needs to (if he goes too far) or the moment Mass or Connie walk in

Doesn’t quite understand why Louisiana was afraid of him at first, but once he found out that it was because of the Jersey Devil, he did what he could to reassure Loui that he wasn’t any danger (to Loui at least. He would never hurt him.)

EXTREMELY protective of the other states. Like- I’m talkin- look at any of them the wrong way and you will be paid a visit later that night.

Lowkey thought that Texas was a devil hybrid (Cryptid/animal states stuff) as well, and he was like-"You are devil? But no horn 🤨 hOrNy, maybe, but no horn 🤨" and Texas was finally like-"I’m a bat dumbass!"

NJ: oh. Want some blood?

Texas: I ain’t a vampire bat! I’m a Mexican-Free-Tailed Bat!

NJ: that doesn’t answer my question.

Texas: …..yeah I’ll have some-

Has held NY’s scrawny ass in a headlock until he admitted that NJ has the better pizza.

Built like a brick wall

The Mom Friend™️. Need a bandage? He’s got it. A snack? He’s got it. Sunscreen? Yeah he’s got it. An alibi? He’ll gladly be one. A plan on how to get revenge on your ex? He’s got it. Get hurt? He will panic—

He often play fights/wrestles with the other states, forgets that he’s most likely stronger than them, and ends up accidentally going too far. Just ask NY.

New Jersey-

So his father is TECHNICALLY the devil, not the Jersey Devil nono just..the devil

Because his father is literally Satan, Louisiana was very cautious around him in the beginning, Jersey did everything he could think of to gain his trust before realizing that it’ll take Loui time before he does

Jersey has two moms, one (Mother) is Swedish while the other (Ma) is Dutch

He has magic, like its demon magic but he has magic, he’s also able to grab a full health report crops and plants, he isn’t the garden state for no reason

While some states are tall or short depending on their state size, New Jersey is in the group (mainly just OG13) that isn’t his height because of his state

Speaking of height, he’s about 5’8, he’s not short, that doesn’t mean he won’t jump onto the counters to get stuff from the shelves, it just mean he doesn’t need too

Technically doesn’t have a soul, the states all have souls but Jersey is kinda soulless, only kinda and technically though because he does have one, he just doesn’t own it

HUGE nerd, loves anything from Star Trek to TMNT to Kingdom Hearts

Feel like this is obvious but he is a MASSIVE hockey guy, loves it, love to play it, thinks the Rangers can go to hell and so can the Flyers, literally only cares about the Devils

He is pretty neutral when it comes to football, both NY’s team plays in his state sure but they aren’t his, that doesn’t mean he won’t root for them, he just needs to be told too

Collects Baseball cards and used to play as well, but so did everyone else and their father in the 60s

Loves to make fudge and taffy, knows every states favorite of both and if they don’t like either he also knows everyone’s favorite chocolates as well

Has great memory, which is his downfall most times when he doesn’t want to remember

Has severe trauma, has gone through many therapists because of it before landing on his current one

Calls Sweden ‘Father Sweden’ and Netherland ‘Dad Netherland’, both are not too sure why or how he started calling them that, let only Jersey himself

New Jersey

Constantly moving, either tapping his foot or moving his legs, always dancing too, if there’s music he’s moving

Stopped talking to Nevada in the 80s because of Atlantic City, Nevada understood it was because they were rivals and also the mafia but it doesn’t stop Jersey from feeling bad about it

Despite what everyone tends to think, Jersey likes to keep to himself and is relativity quiet for the most part, it just so happens that he is normally around people that he either likes (NY, NM, NH, Cali, Rhode, Del) or has strong feelings about (Mass, Penn, NY, Connecticut, Virginia), which makes him loud

Oooooo yess, Texas was a fun one to think about because I had to think like a southerner slightly, and I live in Jersey lol (granted Jersey gets pretty southern if you go too far but I don't live there)

Texas-

Used to hunt a lot, however with the Table becoming slightly more important in the 2020s he had to slow it down significantly

Has a massive ranch, horses, cattle, chickens, you name it, Texas probably has it

Would actually kill someone (but specifically Cali) if they took his hat, there is no way he is letting Austin be in control for that long

His wires are slightly crossed, hence Austin or literally any of his cities (though honestly the cities being personified depends on the state, Texas has researched this before and it’s not worth asking why, you won’t get an answer)

Guns lol

Will occasionally just cough up oil, it’s not common but it is annoying

He’s not gay, at all, what so ever, he’s just a very straight cowboy livin his life (guess the lie here, hint: he is for sure livin his life and is a cowboy)

He doesn’t hate Oklahomo, he just wishes the absolute best for him and the absolute best is dying

Loves cooking as much as he does hunting, which is a lot, he’ll do it whenever he wants, for basically no reason, it’s a fun hobby for him

Went back to high school in the 2000s, an experience he doesn’t know if he regrets or wants to study under a microscope

Worked at the Berkeley laboratory in the 90s, specifically Berkeley’s element hunting team

Used to be obsessed with Creepypastas, however is now obsessed with cryptids (“They aren’t the same thing shut up *state name here*” has been said a lot)

Will slip into a southern accent without warning, has given multiple southern states heart attacks because of this on more than 10 occasions

Loves to write, especially fanfiction, however there is no way they would EVER willingly show anyone these, they did once when he was drunk but New York never mentioned it and Cali did not remember

Loves Stardew Valley and Minecraft, will play them both for hours without realizing

New York-

Has grandparents, it’s best you don’t question how they are still alive

Theater kid, has seen Hamilton and Wicked more times than he can count

Always moving, normally just tapping his foot or tapping his fingers, not nearly as bad as NJ and holds this over his head

“I have better ADHD than you do” has been said multiple times by him to NJ

Likes to hike, doesn’t get a chance to do it often but when he can he does, not alone though, never alone

Met Mass for the first time when he was changed from New Amsterdam to New York

Had a harder time understanding certain accents when he was younger, not as bad as NJ but it still caused a problem for a while

Knows Italian and Spanish, he can still understand and write in Dutch but can’t properly speak it

Used to call Jersey ‘Joisey’ in the early 2000s, had to stop or else they would have gone to war

Currently calls Jersey ‘Jerz’ or ‘Taffy’, occasionally calls him ‘Trent’ but that normally ends with a shoe to the head

Likes to call Cali ‘B’ and ‘Nia’

Will occasionally call Florida ‘Disney’ and ‘Swampy’

I think a lot of the states had accents speaking English as kids

Florida would definitely just combine the weirdest food, if there's a weird food that every state is eating it's because Florida found a really good one and made it a trend

I personally imagine texas would sleep(or try to) in a pillow nest, his hair would also be very unkempt and his hat would be oversized

Gov has been overly professional forever and has made a fool of himself, i imagine the states were adults already and whenever they even slightly take him seriously they remember the ridiculous things he said as a kid and laugh

They all definitely commit violence upon each other, especially after Christmas with the bonk stick

Mass and Penn were bitters, you get too close and you got 50 unknown viruses 

Jersey is a forest rat

York and Jersey would swim in the Hudson, no one knows how they are still alive

Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Oklahoma would go hunting together, yes they were about 8, what about it?

If Jersey talked too fast he would stutter or switch to either Dutch or Swedish, he wouldn’t notice the language switch until York told him

Florida and alligators, need I say more?

California was very food picky, most times Texas would cook something for him

York and Jersey would go between each others homes for dinner every weekend, York’s grandparents loved to introduce Jersey to different Italian foods, Jersey’s mothers would do the same to York but with Dutch and Swedish foods

Penn and Virginia would have other states watch Gov during the week, with Mass, Vermont, and Maine watching him on the weekends

Jersey and Del weren’t allowed alone, they would go onto boats and try to take them over, just two probably 7 year old's successfully taking over a British ship

Minnesota and Michigan would trick Wisconsin by swapping places, like the parent trap but with a fellow child and it’s just that child that would fall for it

Florida and Jersey would refuse to believe that English was a real language, when Louisiana came along, he too refused to believe it was real, Jersey was never able to convince Del that it wasn’t real but he was close

York and Jersey were inseparable when Jersey first met Mass and Penn, Jersey couldn’t really understood the English they spoke because accents so York acted as a sort of translator, translating English to different sounding English
