As usual, time for a little expansion after the Blaze burns out. ^_^ I actually had never intended to write Willuz content, but discovered midway through the scene where they first meet that I had crafted two versions of these characters who needed each other very badly. I take it as a major compliment how many people have admitted that they don't ship Willuz, but love the way I've written them. Of course, the fact that I'd begun this fic for Lumity content and still intend to make it happen does mean something's going to have to change, doesn't it? Maybe folks would be interested in reading along to find out how that develops...

In honor of chapter 13, Willow and Luz share their first kiss beneath the mistlefoe! After hearing how much Luz has gone through to be the person she is today, Willow gives in to her heart's desire. As you can see, her feelings are very much reciprocated. This scene is from my fanfic, Your Touch | Freedom to be Me, part of the Broken and Beloved AU. In this universe, Luz became homeless at an early age and spent several years on the run, only arriving in the Boiling Isles two years after the events of canon had already taken place. So much is different, but some universal constants remain... The artist behind this amazing piece is Gib.

Hi, I'm sanmeikitten. I'm a former psychology student from Parts Unknown. Eons ago, I fell to earth and landed in someone's backyard where I attempted to establish a base to conquer this desolate planet, but was unfortunately mistaken for a toaster. At some point I became quantum entangled with an angel, collapsed into a tesseract, and now communicate with three-dimensional space through an Owl House fanfic. I write a lot. Most of it is meaningless, but a lot of it will make you cry. Here's my pitch for the fic: This is the ongoing Owl House fanfic that I came out of a 21 year fanfiction retirement to write! Mature rated for an overall serious approach to trauma and mental health, with an emphasis on learning to live with mental health challenges through the support of community and found family. Everybody needs hugs; everybody gets hugs. You don't necessarily have to be familiar with the franchise to read it (I wrote it as if to a brand new audience), but you'll get more references and allusions if you are. Some Collector and Amity siblings stuff :)

I like to imagine them going to her with their nightmares, asking her to read them stories, only to fall asleep on her shoulder

I also like to imagine them getting jealous of Luz like King got jealous of Amity 'what!? no collector hug?? I demand to be held' and then they get hugged from three directions by Amity, Luz, and King

'Looks like we're going to be siblings in law, king!' And they get to be flower star person with King (at Luz and Amity's not white wedding but they agreed it was so cute when they both insisted that they just let them)

The Collector just stayed in their usual clothes, and King wore his armour of intimidation and they spent the whole day randomly showering people with little stars with focus on lumity

Also Amity letting them bash their old siblings, and being there for them when they're sad about what they lost and who lied to them.

'I just- wish you'd been my sibling the whole time.'

'Me too. Those archivist people SUCK.'

'YEAH! They didn't even try to find me when I got trapped. They just decided it was good riddance and were disappointed when I came back last week...'

'Excuse me, WHAT. Collector, please stay away from them- if they're going to lure you into a place where you could be in such danger on purpose, then completely ignore you when you get trapped instead of taking your tablet to titans blood to free you or at least bringing you to the stars to keep you company, I dread to imagine what else they'd do to you. I don't want anyone else to hurt you like Belos and the archivists have. You're a good kid, you deserve way better.'

Cue The Collector breaking down in tears in Amity's arms

And also being there for them when they're feeling guilty over their pre-Luz actions, and she can just be like 'same little dude, same' and recount stories of the things she'd done under her parents' control

'Can I make my own book of friendship?'

'Of course, Collector'

A late redemption Hunter post without Hunter!? Not possible!

Anyways rather than going with Hunter in this Au, Flapjack ended up staying with Luz. They aren’t technically bonded since they can’t communicate but Flapjack hangs around and lets her use his staff form but Luz does end up getting stringbean in the future. Most importantly, he lives in the end! As for what happened in Hunting palismen and any relationship development with Hunter, that will come when the time is right :))

Also maybe don’t try to find the angry ex child soldier whose ‘uncle’ you’ve killed on you own, just some advice. Also I realized the angle makes it look like Hunter is kneeling so pretend he was collecting something when Luz found him, I think he’d have a good grasp on potions and stuff considering that was his hexside uniform of choice.
