I really don’t like how a lot of music these days is so perfect and airbrushed and autotuned that it doesn’t sound real anymore. The reason I love the front bottoms is because they are the exact opposite of that- all of their songs are messy and human and real- there’s voice cracks in every song, Brian sella sounds like he’s about to cry in a lot of them and it’s just so imperfect and real and human and I love it so so much

when you thought looking like you just woke up was this beautiful and poignant metaphor rich song about grief and then you found out that it’s actually about some dude being in love with his crushes ex boyfriend in their fuckass basement
