Dreemurr Kids Week - Day 4 - Angst/Sad
Okay so this one’s a little creepy, but it was fun to play with shadows. I especially like the theme in Undertale that depending on what you do, the three kids (Frisk, Chara and Asriel) can either be sweet and innocent or damn near terrifying! I was initially gonna do Chara’s shadow more like them with the creepy eyes they do, but then it looked too similar to Frisk’s so I decided to try and make it look like dripping blood.

Strings of lights and
Yellow tapestries
Brighten up my room
In an attempt to hide
The darkened mess
That lurks in the corners
A rumble in the fog
Tells me I am not alone.
Quickened breaths
Faster steps
I try to flee
What stalks me in the dark
But when the fog clears
I see an empty field
Where the weeds have grown
Unkempt
And i wonder how i am meant
To trust others
When i can barely trust
Myself
I Swallowed a Star
I watched the stars
Then i consumed their light
One by one
A darkened sky
Then little by little
Their light consumed me
In return.
